Liquid fast? PLEASE READ HELP? -

Has anyone ever done this?I m going to be on this for 5 daysI m NOT just doing this to lose weighti want to flush all the crap out of my body that I ve consumed over christmas.But whats a healthy amount of body weight to lose on a fast?Like, Once I ve lost say 10 lbs, do i need to stopHow much weight do you lose on a fast?(And please spare me the lecture of how healthy weight loss is 1/2 lbs/wk, fasting slows down metabolism, you ll gain it all back and more, blahblahblah.)

Eat food as close to it s natural state as possible. (Ex. veggies, fruits, beans, seeds, eggs, lean meat/not beef jerky or sandwich meats.) You don t want all those additives, preservatives, fats, food dyes, etc. They mess with your metabolism and toxify your body.Rule of thumb: If it comes in a wrapper, (meaning it s processed,) don t eat it!I would also limit cheese and meat since those are fattening and you can get your calcium and protein from other sources, like leafy greens, and quinoa.Just eat a little less than what you normally do, the goal is to not feel stuffed, just full. Eat many small meals throughout the day to keep the metabolism high and burning. You won t have to count calories, and you will lose weight. Do not starve yourself!! Starvation mode makes you lose muscle and makes you gain fat. When you eat again, your body will hoard fat and your lost muscle will be replaced by fat. Muscle is metabolically active and burns calories even while you are resting, so losing muscle from starving is detrimental. Also you become a skinny fat person, that looks disgusting because there is no muscle tone.If you get cravings, think of what it is you re craving: texture, taste?For example, you crave sweets. Eat fruit. Or drink vanilla almond milk. Or eat butternut squash or sweet potatoes. Or if you crave something salty, have nuts, or have tomatoes or cucumbers with salt.Crunchy, have nuts or seeds These are just some examples. If you crave chocolate, eat the 85% dark chocolate. You will get tons of antioxidants, and more chocolate to satisfy your craving with less junk.Do not drink pop, even diet pop. Diet foods are evil and all the artificial sweeteners WILL make you gain weight. Studies have proven this.Also, spot reducing does not work. You cannot spot reduce. Your body type might either be a pear, apple, hourglass, or rectangle. Losing weight will only make you a smaller version of that body type. Spot reducing exercises like squats will only build up the muscle and make it bigger, I suggest you balance out the problem by building up the muscles in the areas that you lack, making you more of an hourglass.Also exercise, constantly challenge your body and you will lose weight! Don��t buy into the acai berry, special K, or colon cleanse scams. They��re scams scams scams!!

I ve lost 3lbs in one day from fasting. I ve never done it for longer than 2days - in which I lost 5lbs. So....5 days, you could probably expect to lose about 10lbs. Each day you will lose slightly less weight because of the whole metabolism slowing thing. Please be careful - it can make you really sick when going for a long time. A friend of mine went for about 10 days and just suddenly started throwing up, even though there was nothing in her. And when you start to eat again, make sure you stick to really light things like veggies or soup, or even just a glass of milk so that your body gradually gets used to food again - if you eat too much at first then you risk being sick. Please be careful.

It ll flush the crap out of your system, but I would suggest eating little snacks like celery or pineapple or something if you are doing it for a long time. You should stop when you ve lost like 5ish. Don t do a liquid fast for more that 5 days because really going without food for that long won t give you the proper nourishment you need.

Uhm, According to body mass index calculations, You should weigh around 120? little more, little less. But if you re wanting to lose weight, since you re a teen, like myself, you know we love to eat!:)lol, but I would watch your portion sizes, and try to exercise more often, and eat slower than usual:)Hope I helped!:)

At-Home 2 week-long term weightloss -

Hi, I am 13 yearso ld and school is starting soon. I am slightly overweight, but I am also wide framed so it looks like a lot. I would like to know a good weight loss program that I can do at home in my bedroom, since I am not the type of guy that would run so my parents would be weird and I do not want my parents to know I am trying to lose weight. I have dumbells and do not mind using them as I am pretty strong. I would like to lose as much weight as I can in the next two weeks without making it obvious I am trying to, thanks!

20lbs by June? -

I know it s totally do-able. Im eating very healthy. No pasta, bread, potatoes. Veggies, fruits and lots of water. I exercise about an hour each night. Do you think if I start working out a little bit in the morning on my elliptical it will help some more. Say 10 minutes. I want to start taking some walks also. I was also thinking about investing in a stationary bike at the end of the month....what do you think?Is there anything I can do to boost my HEALTHY weight loss?Im 254.5 lbs. Thats down from 267.5 that I started from at the end of January. I just feel like ive hit a slump so early. Maybe its all in my head.....Any thoughts and tips will help.Thanks

Try the south beach diet.The first 2 weeks (or longer if you want to lose more weight)you can lose about 8-15 pounds or more.It s a low-carb diet and restrictive, but I ve heard really good news about it. My aunt lost a lot of weight on it.Then after Phase 1, you get to slowly add more carbs in. The good thing about it, is you can go back and forth between phases. Eat some of that good cereal in the morning, you need carbs, just not too much, and the slow ones.Do crunches until you can not do anymore, jog stairs, be safe, warm up and sprint, short bursts of intense activity is very effective compared to long weak activity, just don t over do it, Jog stairs ;and also do some lunges until it burns, do this every day or 2 days, keep going and don t give up, same with eating, you need fat, so one fish oil daily, eat fish (not fried, be careful, very careful for bones, peanut butter on whole wheat (no jelly),which has protein, and dont worry about the fat in that, avocodos, has fat, good fat, eat it when your hunger cravings get you. when you do crunches, also twist on some to work your sides, keep tension on your abs. Has anyone ever tried positive changes hypnosis? -

they have a weight loss program I was wodering if anyone tried it and got results. I am skeptical

Positive Change Hypnosis is a franchise system that has you listen to tapes. All of the centers I have know have gone out of business. Personally I had problems with how some of the operators I have had conversations with dealt with hypnosis.I might try an experienced hypnotherapist or just get some tapes. Books on self hypnosis are another good resource.Just my opinion (with over 500 hours of training) but I would try another approach to hypnosis.

Can i walk 20000 steps without any particular heart rate and still lose weight? -

i just bought a pedometer and i m pretty advanced at working out but, i was wondering if i just walked 20000 steps throughout the day sporadically, would i loose weight or do i have to go at a certain pace and heart rate. i ve never done the heart rate thing with any weight loss program and have always lost weight

Well the average American takes approximately 5,000 steps a day. This is a big reason America is becoming obest. So if you take 20,000 steps a day you will start to loose weight ( As long as you watch your diet). It doesl not matter what your heart rate is, however the higher your heart rate the more calories you will burn. Now im not sure when you say sporadically if you mean during the day at the office walking around to get a paper and sit back down periodically, or if you mean walking for 15-20 min. at a time. But a key thing to remember calories in should equal calories out. Good luck

If you want to be burning fat, you should be doing low intensity for long periods of time. So instead of running, do light jogging. Steps is a hard way to measure, because everyone s steps are different. But as long as you stick to it and keep a healthy diet, you should be fine.
