What are some good ways to fight hunger? -

I need to quit snacking and start eatign 1,300 calories a day. I want to drop a few for prom...and by a few im talking about 20 pounds. :)So any good hunger supressant ideas?weight loss tips?anything?

Don t think about food

Drink a TON of water. And I mean a ton. You will be in the bathroom contstantly but it works. And eat fruit for snack instead of sweets or chips. Good luck!!!!

You need to change your snacks to healthy ones, like an apple instead of a chocolate bar.

You might want to eat less on every meal and start dividing the meals up into 6 snacks a day. as in Everyday you have 3 meals. Each meal you should spit in half. Then later eat the rest of the half meal and do that with your other meals. It helps because your stomach can digest little at a time. If it can t digest that fast it stays in your stomach for a long time and that is how you get fat.

Yeh i would say eating good healthy food would stop you from being hungry!

i am 6stone the way i achieved this is by drinking a matrix three times a day... a matrix is a powder that you put into water or milk and then you stop being hungry the whole day...you can buy it in pharmacies or in supermarkets...its good there are many types...i call them a matrix but the real name of the one i buy is called complan...its very good try it..good luck...

Drink lots of water. Eat pomegranates, they re tough to eat, so you can t just binge on them. Don t snack, especially after dinner. Cut out pop completely. The most important thing is that you have to be truly motivated. If you are, then it will be easy. If not, it will be impossible.

You need to be careful, it s unhealthy to just ignore hunger to lose weight. However, if you eat three meals a day including lots of greens and fiber, and make sure not to eat anything after 7pm (as the metabolism has slowed down for the night) this will help. Eat breakfast in the morning

from hard experience not that i liked going hungry (laid off from work). the discomfert usually subsides after 2 days but any longer than 2 days of not eating can cause other problems like the squirts!. your best to work up an appitite and keep yourself busy so you dont snack then have a lunch and dinner at the normal time . but dont ever deny yourself food if you dont have to, going hungry through poverty is a pretty crappy place to be in.

Buy some Tums and when you feel hungry eat two to six. It works. Do not use any other antacid fighter. Only Tums. Keep your meals under 300 calories. You carbs under 25g a meal and only eat baked, lean, white meatGo for a walk around your block after every mealstay away from fruit and fruit juces. This takes a lot of will power. I know how you feel, i LOVEEEEE snacking!! You should drink more water, because it will make you feel fuller and you can just pee it out, or lose it very easily. for breakfast, maybe oatmeal. it will tide you over til lunch trust me. than for lunch get the healthiest food they have, im assuming they sell healthy lunches at your school. then for dinner, eat around 5 or 6. but do NOT get fast food or take out. only exceptions are on special occasions or maybe a friday or sat, if ur out with ur friends. oh and also DONT DRINK SODA! if u do. they say to not drink soda if your trying to lose wieght. also you might want to look into a fiber supplement. it makes you have to go to the bathroom, so instead of making yourself throw up, you can just crap :)dont walk around youre block after every meal, i saw that as someones answer. because you need to give your body sometime to digest, if you dont it will stay in there. i know some people get confused about that.

Try drinking plenty of fluid, Especially water!! What I do is if I m feeling peckish I chew on a chewing gum or I just eat a piece of fruit or something!!

Eat lots of fresh raw vegetables. They fill you up and suppress hunger.

Brush your teeth. Nobody likes eating straight after they ve brushed their teeth! Also, you ll have really white, healthy teeth if you brush them when you re hungry ;) try chewing gum and drinking water whenever you get hungry, it helps me.

Eat your meal plan in six increments instead of 3. Protein seems to help suppress appetite better than carbs, so concentrate on protein in your 1300 cal/day.Exercise at least an hour a day. Cardio is best. Swimming, running, cycling, rope jump, etc.Good luck.edit: Drink when you re thirsty or when you want too. All this stuff about drinking lots of water is pure BS. Just makes you pee a lot. Urine should be pale yellow. Clear and you re drinking too much. Dark yellow, too little.

How do I start a jogging program for weight loss? -

I am a 20 year old college student going into my 3rd year. I have been eating poorly and not exercising very well since I have been here. I just moved into a new apt. where I can make healthy meals now. I started jogging and walking today and only made 15 min. Any suggestions on how to improve? Or any other weight loss tips? Also I am not overweight, but i could def lose a few.

well!! i can surely help you out!jogging needs a lot of stamina, and for that healthy meals isn t just enough! increase water and protien intake! and a bit of carbos is required too.early mornin joggin wil be fine, and a little bit of night walk after dinner will give better result!15 mins is pretty less, start up with half an hour and you ll gradually feel like increasing ;) cause ofcourse u ll get passion soon!! ;)and one more thing!!for greater stamina and higher protien intake,,please try taking whey protien with milk evry morning! and you ll never go tired tho whole day!

First off dont not eat, or throw up, (obviously), second don t over workout, it s not good for your body. I know you will hear this a lot but the fastest way i know how is to exercise and diet. Exercising is 90% of what you have to do and dieing is 110% of what you have to do!

The best way to lose weight by exercise and diet together

Here s my way:(I haven t tried yet) Don t eat anything, just drink orange juice for three or four days (It s up to you but don t make it more than 4 days). The fifth day you MUST just drink water. If you eat, I don t know what could happen to your stomach. Then eat soup only for two days and finally, you can eat anything. Let s see how much you can take off.

If you are trying to lose weight there are literally hundreds of ideas out there. In my opinion, the best way, which has been proven time and time again, is a two part method: Eat right and exercise. First, exercise is a no-brainer. You have to burn more calories than you take in for exercise to be considered exercise. How you do it is worth another answer all to itself. So, that brings us to the Eating Right part. If you understand how your body works, you ve got a head start on the world. Food is fuel for the body. Once you ve accepted that concept as more important than the idea that food is entertainment, then the rest will be relatively easy. If you are American, and I assume you are, the Nutrition Facts label that you find on all foods bought in the U.S. are the next thing you need to understand. Go grab something from your kitchen (i.e. jar of peanut butter or a bag of chips...anything with a nutrition label). OK, yeah you need vitamins and minerals and all that. But focus on these three items: FAT, PROTEIN, and CARBOHYDRATES. Let s take these one at a time: FAT is basically divided into good fats and bad fats. The body needs good fats (mono- and poly-unsaturateds). You ll find these in stuff like olives and avocados where the bad fat is minimal if not nonexistent. The bad fats are your saturated and trans fats that you ll find in meats and oils. If you are trying to lose weight, keep these to an absolute minimum. My suggestion (based on a 1500-2000 calorie diet) is to limit yourself to no more than 15g of saturated fat per day. This is hard to do if you re used to eating fast food. It s also hard to do if you drink whole milk, eat cheese (even the 2% variety), and eat fried foods. All of these are high in bad fats. The good news is that you can substitute your diet to eat the very things you like to eat but with better ingredients. If you eat cheese, buy fat free. If you drink milk, buy skim. Slowly take yourself down from whole milk or 2% to 1% before going skim/fat free if the transition is too radical to do all at once. If you eat a lot of ground beef, use the extra lean variety (96% fat free/4% fat), or substitute lean ground turkey instead. Do whatever you have to do to get the bad fat grams down to less than 15 per day.PROTEIN: The building block of nutrition (aside from your vitamins and minerals) is protein. You need it strengthen your muscles and it will be essential with your exercise routine. Without protein, you can t build muscle tone or lean body mass. And guess what? Just having lean body mass (muscles) allows your body to burn more calories even when you are sleeping. Therefore, you are able to lose weight (bad weight, that is) just by sleeping. But, you have to exercise!! Don t forget that. You can find foods that are high in protein but also high in saturated fat, so be careful. Stick to poultry (chicken, turkey), fish (tuna is a great source), and beans. Don t fry your meats because if you do, you just added a bunch of bad fat to your otherwise healthy protein filled meal. Instead, grill, broil, or bake. You can do this! Don t forget to exercise to exponentially reap the rewards of consuming protein. CARBS. In my opinion, the no-carb diet is crap, because you need carbs for energy, especially because you are exercising! That s right, you can t forget you are supposed to be exercising. The trick is choosing the good carbs. You ll see on your nutrition label Total Carbohydrates and Sugars. Sugars should be kept to a minimum and should be avoided within hours of going to sleep. The calories associated with them get stored (for energy) but are not easily burned when it comes time to burn them. Therefore, it s harder to lose the weight associated with them. That s why it s not good to eat lots of candy, cookies, and ice cream that have a lot of sugar. The other kinds of carbs (complex carbohydrates) are essential. You can get these from grains and potatoes. Good stuff!!Now that you have a brief understanding of these three nutrition components, time to get to it. Not as easy as it sounds? That s because, you re human. If you treat your body right (and I mean very right, by limiting your saturated and trans fats, limiting your sugar carbs, and eating plenty of protein), then you deserve a day when you can eat whatever you want. The body has cravings and you should be able to fulfill these cravings IF you can stand to wait until the end of the week. I call this one day of decadence your cheat day. First see your doctor to see if your body is able to handle any diet.Mean while eat what you normally eat but eat a little less of it.One way is to use smaller plates to put food on. or fill your plate with the normal amount you eat and cut, spoon or scrape off a little in a separate bowl. And throw, away give to other members in your household, feed to the dog, just get rid of it. Drink more water. Not diet soda, because it makes you hungry latter. Some thing to do with once your taste buds taste the sweetness, the pancreas goes in to making insulin and insulin needs sugar to eat and makes you hungrier. Exercise more just get out and walk, jog, swim, do yoga, aerobics, any thing your doctor says is OK to do.

You have to start seeing yourself in a different light. You must begin to eat healthily and to be honest, exercise is the only way to lose weight. convince a friend to go to the gym with you and organise to meet up there every week at a certain time. Also do lots of running and swimming as these are the main exercises to knock the pounds off.Word of warning though. This will take time and it ll be a tough road but it ll be well worth it in the end!

umm well your seriously tiny im 5ft 7 and 125 pouns with a bmi of 19.6 which is on the lower side your bmi on the other hand is 17.6 which is actually pretty underweight (health bmi 18.5-25)if you lose too much weight your hair, skin, teeth, nail well everytrhing in your body will deteriorate and also you will get harier in order to stayt warm. You will also lose your periods and then in teh future may become infertile or get osteoporosis as your perido helps your bones absorb calcium if anything put on a bit of weight

You are really quite slim and I ll bet you look great! Although I know how horrible it is when you don t feel comfortable with yourself so I will try and help you there.The main this is to eat three meals a day, pleanty of fruit and veg and drink 6-8 glasses of water. Doing regualar exercis. Treadmills are really good if you do 20-30 minutes a day 3-4 days a week? also eating healthily. If you read magazines most of them have a page of what snack foods you could swap for others to help lose weight?
