I am a 16 year old female, 5 2, and weighs 117.I want to lose at least 10 pounds before school starts. I know there is no such thing as spot reduction but i want to lose weight mostly on my lower part of the body, thighs and legs. I walk at least 10 blocks every other day. What would be a good exercise that i can do at home easily?Would eating wheat bread instead of rice help?If you dont have any positive things to say, please dont answer at all. thanks.
try super dieters tea and drinking lots of water
Remember that fat loss is simply burning off more calories than you take in, creating a calorie deficit. This can be accomplished by either taking in less calories then your body uses or burning more calories than you take in through cardio exercises, or a combination of both. You need to eat cleaner, and cut out junk foods. Besides that you need to make substitutes in your current diet. Instead of white bread, eat wholewheat bread. Instead of high calorie soft drinks, drink water. You need to watch what you eat, and eat foods that are lower in calories. This was you can better create a calorie deficit. Creating a calorie deficit of 500 calories a day, will burn around 1 pound a week.Besides your eating habits, you should try jogging, swimming, or biking instead of just walking. These exercises burn more calories than walking, but at least walking is a start!
umm... run lift weights and don t eat.....lol totally kidding!!!!! eat run and lift weights and maybe some palliates. do squats, push ups, crunches, other abs, and stuff like that. be careful.don t over do it, and don t like die if you don t lose 10 pounds. don t focus too much on your weight, focus on toning.
First of all, you certainly do not sound like you need to lose weight! If you are 5 2 and 117, that is certainly not overwieght but if you are not comfortable with your body, I say do what you can (in moderation) to get into good shape. Just be cautious with your weight loss... we don t want anymore little Nicole Ritchie bodies out there! Here s my advice:Eating healthy would definitely speed the process along (NO FAST FOOD! And plenty of green veggies, fruits and WHOLE grains, like whole wheat pasta, whole wheat bread, low fat products, but beware that just because it says low fat does not mean it is necessarily healthier for you, check the sugar content in the Nutritional Information on all your foods you intake). Exercising regularly should definitely help. Cardio exercise is what is going to burn all of your fat. Try doing a warm up, for instance, a walk, then work up to a full run or job for at least 20-40 minutes, the longer the better. Some other forms of cardio are: aerobics, kickboxing, biking, swimming, elliptical. The goal to losing the fat is to get your heartrate up and keep it up for about 30 minutes or a little more if possible, but you can work up to it. I, too, have the goal to lose 10 lbs. before September so I m working with you! Set a goal and stick to it! Discipline yourself and you ll reach it. Visit www.shape.com for some good leg, thigh and butt workouts or buy their magazine. Another good one is Women s Health Magazine.
To successfully lose weight, you must carry outa plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionallybalanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity. I found useful informations at
First of all that is WAY good you walk !!! Try to walk at a faster pace each day. Time yourself. Then try to walk more in that same amount of time each day. It s a good way to keep yourself going and not get bored. And if you can, do it every day; fit it in whenever you have the time. Anything to break a sweat for a period of time is great. And don t worry who sees you, or how you look doing it. As for exercise, if you can use weights with your exercise. If you go fairly light you shouldn t have any problems. It s all about doing at least 20 reps, at least 3 times/sets for each type of exercise. Exercise won t make you lose weight; it s the amount of time you put into being active that works. Exercise will tone the flabbiness and firm you up. So if you don y use weights, just do regular calisthenics (sit-ips, push-ups, etc.) at least 30 minutes every day. Avoid boredom by wearing an Ipod with your fave music. If you like tv, watch your fave 30 minute or longer show while doing your exercise. Don t do them too late though. Also, don t eat after say 6 p.m. every day. And don t eat anything fried, or anything bread like donuts, cookies or cakes. And no crackers. In fact, try to get desserts out of your mind totally. When/if you get hungry after hours, be sure you have fresh cut stuff like celery apples or whatever fruit or veggie you like in your fridge and eat that. Eating wheat bread is fine, some people say rice isn t good to eat because of carbs, but I eat rice all the time w/o any weight gains, and I eat wheat bread too. Keep up the good work; you ll see the results you want quick if you can follow my suggestions :) Email me if you have any questions at all. Good luck!
If your very overwieight, the fastest way to loose weight is not eating atall. However, I would not recommend this because of the health risks involved.I advise you to stop walking and start running! Running is one of the best forms of exercise to burn off fat. Also if your not into running, swimming is the next best thing particularly for your thighs and legs.Your diet should consist of low carbohydrates if you want to loose weight, so no rice atall and definatly no white bread, always wholemeal!By the way if you want to get rid of spots, go to the doctor and ask him to prescribe a benzoyl peroxide cream, got rid of my spots in a couple of months!
I would say eat six small meals a day. Plenty of vegetables. Drink lot s of water and green tea. No junk food. And exercise alot, walking will not cut it, you should go for a run. But be sure you don t go to an unhealthy weight please? Take care of your body and do things healthy sweetheart! Goodluck, i hope this helps.
