Healthy weight loss? -

I am 16 years old, 5 3 and weigh 185 lbs. I was wondering if there was a healthy (and cheap way) to lose about 40 lbs before summer hit. I am going away for some weeks and would like to be healthier and fitter.

Do cardio exercises. Try to make good choices when choosing what to eat!Stay away from fast foods and unhealthy snacks. For snacks, try fruit and raw veggies. Reduce the amount you eat. Drink lots of water and stay active.Good Luck!

Avoid carbs that take a long time to break down - pastas that are not whole grain, white bread (darker the better and richer in nutrients but don t go too Atkin s dietish.), potatoes (starches.) Protein form meat is not necessarily a bad thing. Excercise and concentrate on getting your heart rate going, getting a good sweat and not lifting eith too many weights. Do not eat late - this is a killer. Replace sugary snacks with fruit. Cut down on cheese too. Stay active. Just walking a bit everyday burns calories. Don t starve yourself, just trim away unnecessary foods and bad eating habits. Above all else enjoy life. It s been documented that happy people are more responsive to physcial training.

if your going to use pills or some other diet system use something that s been around for awhile. slim fast has been around for over 30years. hydroxycut has been around for awhile too.you can find new products like the ones you mentioned at rite aid and walgreens

I am 5 10 and weigh 168 pounds. I started my weight loss program back in december and have lost 20 pounds already, but i am at a point now to where i cant loss weight. I quit drinking any drinks with sugar, so that means only water and a little milk in the morning for me. I also cut back on fast food and sweets. I began become more active outside and i believe that with the cutting back on sugars has got me to the point i am at now, but i still look fat. I mean i cant really tell i have lost 20 pounds. I want to know how to tone up, or if i continue my regular activity and maybe run 5-7 miles a week, will that be enough to get my muscles showing. I know resistance training is the best bet, but i live in a small town so no health club for me. Need help its almost summer and i have been very commited to this change, i mean the numbers dont lie i have lost 20 pounds. I need something extra to get me over the hump ????

You can resistance train at home using your body weight, push ups, pull ups, etc. These exerrcizes really can build your body up. Take a look at some millitary peoples bodies, push ups are very good.

You have not lost any more weight because you re not supposed to. Your weight is fine. Let your poor body be.

up your cardio working out...in a different way, your body can get used to a work out routine, and everyone hits a hump...be patient. muscle weighs more then fat, so don t necessarily rely on a scale if you are shaping up...sounds like you are in a perfect range at 5 10 and 168...

Are diets good for football players? -

im currently doing a weight loss program, trying to get in better shape. im 6 3 287. and was wondering if im doing it right. I dont want to make people like wow! he lost so much weight! i dont want that, i want to go down to 265 but i want proper work out and make sure i dont shrink because i am doing football next year and right tackle is my position. Please give me some suggestions and please be positive.

i think you should lose your weight to abought 180 lb or so and build lots of muscle because more fit being around the 180 lb zone .
