In order to be healthy you MUST make time to exercise. Not exercising is not an option if you want to be healthy.Lots of Cardio weight training. do 30-45 minutes of strength training 3-4 times per week followed by 45-50 minutes of cardio 5-6 times per week. do your strength training 1st, it burns more calories. I also do loads of crunches prior to after cardio. Also walk more during the day. Take a walk on your lunch break, walk to the store, aim for 10,000 steps per day a pedometer is a great idea. The more active you are the more calories you will burn the more weight you will lose.To stay healthy not get discouraged remember this:It is not recommended that you lose more than 2-3 pounds per week. I have lost 30 pounds and ignoring hunger will make your body hold onto the weight. I am so sick of ppl listening to such crap on supposed weight loss only to not lose weight, then become more desperate and end up with eating disorders. You need to fuel your metabolism constantly, every three hours you eat a small healthy snack with both carbs and protein. Google a healthy eating plan and follow it, then do 30 minutes of exercise a day and sweat. You need to drink water, and eat zero junk food, fat, sugar, soda and refined foods. I did it this way and tried it your way only to have my body plateau, as in stop losing weight.

Imagine big guys at the gym lifting heavy weights. This will obviously make you look healthier and more toned, but will also increase your metabolism (as your muscles demand more energy) so you will burn calories faster. These muscles are also excercised a lot with cardio workouts (i.e your leg muscles when running).Your arms for example, will need bicep curls and tricep dips using weights and reps of your choice (heavy - low reps, light - lots of reps) and also shoulder excercises such as holding the weights at your waist and lifting them perpendicular to your side or in front of you, etc etc.Your stomach will need excercises that cover the entire torso. Leg raises for your lower ab wall, crunches, sit ups and planks for your upper and all over ab wall, oblique twists for your sides and superman stretches for your lower back for example.These are just basic examples, there are literally hundreds of excercises, but it is impossible to show you on a site like this, get a trainer at your gym to show you some but remember the basic rules of muscles and weights. As far as excercise goes, you should aim to strike a balance between cardio training and strength training, this way you will build good strong and toned muscle, but also keep your body fat levels down and increase your heart and lung performance, making you much fitter and healthier.Hope this helps.

I do not believe in any faddy diets or exercise plans. I believe in eat smaller portions, drink loads of water before meals, it fills you up, and take an hours exercise each day, whatever, it doesnt have to be in a gym, just walking is fine. Cut out alcohol and sweets and eat fruit instead. Drink pure fruit juice, no fizzy drinks. Eat porridge with honey for breakfast. It keeps you full for hours. Eat soups for lunch. Only eat one potatoe with dinner, bulk up on vegetables. Sounds boring but it works and it is something you can maintain. Good luck. Weights a constant battle for everyone.

Well, I used to look at Men s Fitness magazine and Men s Health. They really help. My diet consists of stuff like:Peanut ButterFishAlmonds, Cashews, ect...Turkey, Chicken breast.. the boneless skinless kind.. lean red meats..Lots of beans and legumes..Eggs.. lots of them.. i usually use about 4 or 5 egg whites and 1 whole egg.. eggs are actually easy to seperate if you crack the egg in your hand and move it around from one hand to another and eventually the yolk will still be there..And fruits, veges... I eat fiber one bars sometimes, and I always drink 2 protein shakes a day.. one after breakfast, one before bed/working out.. those are key for my diet..My advice.. don t eat refined sugars, too much white or other bread unless it s 100% whole grain.. yeah the stuff isn t too good, but the white bread is a lot harder to process than the good stuff.. makes you fatter.. and if you want fiber, fruits and veges.. they also have hidden benefits in them you might not have realized, google certain benefits and you may find yourself eating them more often. It s hard to do, but do it.. They help you feel fuller, longer and are best ate w/ the chicken or turkey or if you re a vegetarian.. tofu/beans..5-7 small meals a day, and a protein shake can be one of them.. low calorie recipes.. man, there are so many.. check out the abs diet online.. you ll find a lot of appetizing meals in there. best of luck, lmk if u need anything else

Ok, I am not a spammer (I promise!! You can even look at my Q and As) but I m going to refer you to livestrong.com because they helped me sooo much. Everything is calories. Carbs, protein, fat forget it. If you eat the right amount of calories, then that means you have to have the right amount of carbs and fat because otherwise you d only be able to eat one meal per day. On livestrong sigh up and go to myplate. Once you sign up you enter your weight and how many pound you want to loose per week. The max is 2; so you cannot starve yourself. You can search up any food and they will most likely have it, and if not then you can add it. Be honest with it! They also have where you can enter your workouts. The best exercise is swimming. You use practically all your muscles swimming, and water resistance makes it even better. Swimming doesn t hurt your bones with a shock like running does. I would highly recommend signing up for a hardcore swim team. It s more fun anyway. The best part of loosing weight is that your taste buds change. I used to hate the taste of vegetables. Because I d save my calories for a desert later, I d eat veggies for most of my meals. It was weird because they started to taste VERY good. Carrots taste super sweet now. Do you like cooking? Under the recipe sifter put vegetarian (even though you re probably not...meat has a lot of calories.) and low calorie...and then whatever else you want. Try to find ones with super healthy ingredients and 5 stars. Every recipe that I ve tried has come out really well. I love cooking a lot....hehe. If you love deserts like I do, I d recommend rice pudding or custard. There are a lot of ways to actually make food have sweet flavors without adding anything. Mmmm...you know what s a surprising very good desert? Put skim milk in the freezer and stir it every once and a while until it turned to slush (not rock solid!) then put in some Splenda (not too much. Splenda is bad in excess) and just enough cinnamon to have a few specks per spoonful. For some reason, if you use these simple ingredients it gets to be quite sweet and have a strong vanilla taste. It doesn t taste like milk!Edit: A lot of people say that 3 meals per day is better, but they re wrong. Your body doesn t care when you get your calories - just as long as you eat your daily recommended. Rather than say weight loss, you should put it as healthy lifestyle. The best way to achieve that is to eat well proportioned meals including something from every food group. Concentrate high on green vegatables and some fruits. It is best to identify your weakness in food, such as sugar, chocolate, snack right before bed, and replace that with a healthier choice, such as carrot sticks, peanut butter, or eliminating that last snack. Do not eat right before bed becuase your metabolism goes way down. Excercise at least 3 times per week, 20 minutes per time. Focus on a different routine every day. One day aerobic, one day weight training, another day flexablility. Pilates and Yoga are great becuase they tone your muscles while helping you lose weight.

Some things that have helped me not to binge are popcorn, nice and nutritious, fruits, i don t keep anything fattening in my house, when i want a snack i reach for fruit. Every hour get up and pace for about 10 minutes, you will get more exercise in during the day. Join a gym with a friend who you KNOW will make you go with.

So in order to burn the calories you need to exercise, cardio and strength training in combination would be the most effective. There s no secret to weight loss--eat less and move more.

Eat three pieces of fruit a day. The fiber and water keep me filled up, fruit is easy to carry with me for a quick snack and it s sweet so I ll eat it instead of a dessert. If you don t like normal fruit, try something different like asian pears. Or pick a fruit with seeds to slow down your eating. Try using fresh fruit to sweeten yogurt (instead of the fruit on the bottom stuff) or on waffles/pancakes (instead of syrup).

Is dancing a good exercise? -

I need to lose weight and my goal is to at least lose 1 pound a week.I m thinking about dancing for about 30min per day along with another 30min with some easy fun exercises.Does that sound good.Also do you guys know anything other weight loss tips for a 13 year old teen?Like any dieting plans?

dancing is such a great way to stay in shape! i ve been dancing since i was 2 and am in great shape!
