15 years old need some weight loss tips? -

I am fifteen years old am 5ft 8in tall and weigh 12st 8lb. I really need exercise and diet tips. I have just had enough of looking like a fat weirdo. I don t want any suggestions of pills or supplements just good old fashioned exercise and diet thanks.

I was in the same predicament at your age too, just a year ago. Albeit I didn t know what I weighed at the start (phobia of scales I guess) but I m down to 10st 3 now.I used a mixture of pills and supplements etc. and a mix of traditional methods that sort of developed as I learnt more. A few traditional tips I would recommend:1) Watch what you eat. Try to cut back on junk food and keep healthier alternatives around the house. Look on the back of packets and add up the calories you re eating (this was the easiest way for me, my stepbrother also kept a Food Diary to help him keep track of what he d eaten when he was trying to shed some pounds.) The daily recommended amount of calories is 2000-2500, keep around 1500-2000 and you should notice a difference, make sure you eat enough though else you ll just end up in ill health!2) A handy tip is to chew each mouthful of food 12 times. This gives your brain time to respond to what you re eating and will make your meals last longer. Waiting 5 minutes every now and then during a meal can help your body know when it feels full also. (or so Ive read)3) Walk where you can. Take longer route and give up lifts. Take the stairs more often when given the choice. Small things can add up to a big difference, its not really necessary to spend loads at a gym. You can do sit ups in privacy at home and draw up your own timetable for other exercises. Walking back from school with friends is what helped me.4) Get support! Make sure people know you re trying to lose weight so there s less chance they ll tempt you accidentally. This is especially important with parents. Don t go it alone. I d tried many times before to diet without telling anyone and never got anything constant until I let my Dad know I wanted to lose weight.5) Take it steady. Make sure what you re changing in your lifestyle you re relatively happy with, as you ll need to retain a lot of it (though it ll be far more lenient) after you ve lost the weight. If you go back to a bad diet afterwards it ll just all creep back up.Hope these help you! Everyone s different and it might take a month to get into a flow suited to you, but I hope you do get there! Best of luck!

I m sure you don t need to stop eating. I m 15 also and I weigh 200 pounds. Whilst I am not fat I am chubby and it s annoying. I can t go to public pools anymore because of it. Just walk a lot and get involved in schools sports, or if that s not your thing then work extra hard in P.E. and go for a jog everyday, start doing push ups and sit ups everyday. Start doing more and more each day or else you ll never gain muscle.

STOP EATING SO MUCH, do more excersise, take up soccer, basket ball, Rugby, run, swim etc

PUT DOWN THE FORK!! xD

Is this a healthy weight loss program? -

Does this meal plan sound healthy? Egg whites, wheat toast fruit for breakfast. Lunch will be a nice big salad and fruit. And dinner will mostly vary from day to day. And snacks will be either fruit or a pouch of those 100 calorie snack bags. Also, I drink nothing but water and I don t eat sweets. My workouts will be like this: Cardio every morning and strength training with some dumbbells I have here at home 3 days a week. Does this sound like it will work and be healthy enough for me to lose weight? And, should I take a multi vitamin everyday? If so, which one should I take based on this info:*20 yrs old*female*vegetarian

You need more protein and healthy fats. Add nuts as snacks, olive oil to vegetables. Add more dairy and VEGETABLES. Yes a multi would not hurt.

I recommend you my diet way. It works just amazing and fast. If you are serious about losing weight. You should have a look diet correct way. It will work for you if you do it correct. I lost 20 pounds in 7 weeks with this way. You can find more information here link below.

i think the breakfast is small .... breakfast should never be small ^.^ lol well thats all i can input

I need to lose at least 30 pound in 9 weeks? -

( that s about 2-3 pounds a week) and I do not want to take pills or join weight loss programs. I just want to exercise and eat healthy. Any help?

What I did was I cut my food intake in half. So if I had a bagel every morning, I only had half of one. Get plenty of sleep. It reduces stress, and stress can make you gain weight. Drink a lot of water; it flushes out toxins from your body, and makes you feel full. It might sound weird, but green tea helps not only to lose weight but it makes your body healthier. When it comes to exercise, start slow. Running a mile or playing tennis for a few hours every day can do wonders. And it makes you feel really good after, so you ll want to do more. Yoga can help; I was really apprehensive to try yoga because I thought it was for n00bs, but I tried it, and it feels amazing! So that s it: drink lots of water, cut food in half, drink green tea, and do running exercise. You ll be in shape sooner than 9 weeks!

You can lose more body fat eating protein fat (don t eat protein alone) than not eating AT ALL. To lose weight fast, eat all you want, but nothing but meat, eggs, healthy oils, mayo, butter half an avocado a day (for added potassium). Keep the calories high the fat percentage high, at least 65% of calories. Green vegetables some cheese will continue weight loss but at a slower pace. The first 2 weeks eat several cups a day of (mostly) lettuce celery, cucumbers, radishes, mushrooms, peppers more variety of vegetables thereafter - add 5 grams per day additional every week (20 grams day first 2 weeks, 25grams 3rd week, 30grams 4th week etc) til you gain weight, then subtract 10grams. That will be your personal carb level (everyone is different depends on how active you are.) Start with meat, fats salads for 2 weeks and then slowly add in more green veg, wk4 fresh cheeses, wk5 nuts seeds, wk6 berries, wk7 legumes, wk8 other fruits, wk9 starchy veg, wk10 whole grains. You will learn how your body reacts to different foods. The first week is just water weight but fat is lost thereafter if you keep your calories high enough. Otherwise the body will strip it s own lean tissue for nutrition. Although that may look great on a scale it will make it MUCH easier to accumulate fat in the future (since all that pesky lean tissue burning up calories will be gone). The body won t release fat stores if you lower calories below what it needs. It will slow metabolism to compensate store every spare ounce as fat. If you continue lowering calories, it will continue lowering the set point, til it can survive off nothing store fat on anything. The body will only release it s fat stores if it knows there is plenty of nutritious food.Eating carbs while trying to lose body fat is terribly inefficient. When in glycolysis (burning glucose as fuel) you have to lower your calories (which slows your metabolism) exercise heavily to deplete your glycogen stores before burning body fat.The core of Atkins program is converting the body from glycolysis (burning glucose as fuel) to ketosis (burning fat as fuel). Dietary fat levels need to be at 65% of total calories, if not, the body will still remain in glycolysis by converting 58% of excess protein into glucose (via gluconeogenesis). It takes minimum of 3 days to convert a body to ketosis, (but only one bite to convert back to glycolysis). People feel sluggish the first week but most feel better than ever thereafter.Simple carbohydrates (sugar, flour, bread, cereal, pasta, potatoes, rice) trigger insulin which can store the calories eaten into fat. The more protein the more the fat burning hormone glucagon is released. The more carbohydrate the more the fat storage hormone insulin is released.Simple carbs are addictive can be disastrous to health. The best way to break the addiction is NO carbs for 3 days. Make a huge batch of deviled eggs, eat one every time you want something - have huge omelets with bacon, sausage, peppers, mushrooms cheese. Pork chops smothered with peppers, mushrooms cheese - pork rinds dip or tuna/chicken/turkey/egg salad - steaks - a huge sugar free cheese cake. Eat so much you won t feel deprived of anything. By the 4th day, the addiction will be gone you can start making healthy choices.High insulin levels promote inflammation, weight gain, hunger unbalance other hormones. Controlling insulin levels will balance out other hormones allow human growth hormone (HGH) to be produced naturally so lean muscle will be gained even without exercise. Any exercise will greatly increase muscle mass with high HGH levels.Ground flax seed (2 Tbsp) 1/4 cup water, artificial sweetener, mix in a raw egg - let sit 10 min. to absorb liquid, put some cream cheese in the middle nuke 2 minutes. Suggested for daily fiber needs. As long as you have 9grams carbs per hour, you will maintain insulin control shouldn t gain weight, no matter the calories because insulin, the fat storage hormone is not activated. Many people gain weight on high carb, do low carb to lose weight then are shocked when they return to high carb gain weight. Many people can return to moderate carb levels but very few can really eat all they want of sugar maintain weight or health.

I m with you there sister, my goal is 50 pounds in 4 months. The best thing to do is change what you eat and get plenty of exercise. I m going by the if god made it eat it, if man made it leave it alone diet. Its best to set yourself up with plenty of healthy snacks during the day, its much easier to eat healthy if you have everything on hand. A veggie medley with a little bit of ranch (don t forget your greens), 1 or 2 fruits, some whole grain crackers or cereal bars, a salad or wrap and maybe a small candy treat everyday. Just nibble away at food most of the day but limit how much you have with you so you don t over do it. When it comes to sweets it fine to have a small amount here or there so you don t binge later. I bring Hershey s kisses with me, only like 5 for the day, it gives you the satisfaction of sweets but you cant pig out on them. You need exercises every day, from 20 minutes to an hour whatever you have time for, as long as you mix it up between good cardio and muscle building, I hav friends that train for marathons and they say it s surprising what a good 30 minute walk will do a few times a week..

It actually helps if you stop eating red meat and just eat fish, veggies, breads, and fruits. Also, walk everyday. If you can t because it s cold outside, try and do yoga or pilates.Yoga and pilates are very easy to do and you ll become more flexible. Plus... the best part if that you don t sweat, you just feel the burn and focus on exercising your core. it s great! Plus you get to wear the cutest outfits. :D

First, start keeping track of what you eat and how many calories you eat a day. You can use this: http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorie to help you figure out how many calories your body needs to eat a day since it varies from person to person. Keep away from fatty, high salts, and sugary foods.Second, start exercising. Work on cardio first, like running, biking, etc. That will be what will burn fat. Strength training will build muscle which actually weighs more than fat, but it is still good to do some strength training to help tone your arms and legs.Good luck and remember not to take it too seriously or else you may end up hurting your body instead of helping it.

definately control your diet to at the most 1000 1200 calories TOPS. do not skip meals this causes you lose focus and make you feel more hungry. and obviously excersize dail (jog, run, swim, bike, whatver you can do) you can probably lose this much weight if you stick with this. goood luck :D

I don t know about 30 pounds, depends on your body, but my friend (he s a guy) lost about 20 pounds from JUMPING ROPING everyday, I don t know how many hours he did it but yeah, 20 pounds in 2 months, I think that s a darn lot, don t you think?

Exercise is just as crucial as food intake when it comes to losing weight. There s loads of good guidance for exercise on the web resource in the box below. I lost 9 pounds by following their techniques.

Looking to go on a safe and effective quot;crashquot; diet? -

I know crash diets are bad. i know most don t actually work and most people end up losing muscle mass and slowing down their metabolisms. However, I m not looking to completely starve myself.I need a program that i can use for a week or two that won t starve me completely or drive me insane but that will get the job done without damaging other parts of my body. I plan on losing a ;arge amount of weight at first, then taking a more slowly paced route. I m looking to manage my eating in addition to a simple exercise program, so if anybody knows some effective and easy in-home workouts that will burn a lot of calories it would be greatly appreciated.Bottom line is, I m looking to lose a substantial amount of weight over a period of time, but need to lose a significant amount within the first few weeks. I m not interested in blowing hundreds of dollars on a weight loss program or exercise program. Thanks in advance!

Starvation diets can be safe if medically supervised. I have been on a vegetarian starvation diet which is sponsored by our state University for the past 14 weeks and have lost 50 pounds. I plan to lose another 90 pounds. This is the link to the program I use;http://weight.uams.edu/patients/I eat Health One meal replacements;http://www.myhealthone.com/This is a long term program and not for those who just want to drop 15 pounds to look better for a date or class reunion. I know that similar programs are available around the country. Perhaps a place to start would be the Health One website to inquire about programs which use their service. I cannot overemphasize the need for medical supervision while on a starvation diet. It works and is ultimately safer and better than gastric bypasses or lap bands. If you are a serious dieter, you also need to modify your eating habits through a behavior modification program, otherwise you will end up back where you started. Don t try to do a diet by yourself because you will fail. The best support site I have found is;http://www.sparkpeople.com/This website is great for support and also describes in detail any exercises dieters should be using. Hope this helps.

no such thing as a crash diet long term is better the faster you lose the faster you gain.plan your diet count your calories, jog for one hour drink water eat healthy.and do some lite weight lifting.to help your body tone up.there is no rush in losing weight fast.

Junk the carbs, only allow yourself 1 meal a day that has carbs in it Eg. if you have a sandwich for lunch don t have potatoes for tea.Carb s are sugars and a few well known ones are: Bread, Potatoes, sugar (that means non diet fizzy drinks), also try and eat more regularly but smaller portions oh and eat chicken and fish (not fried) instead of red meat. and i m being hypocritial here but up the veg :) a good tip is not to buy pre packed things as these are often high in salt, sugar and fat.

Here are six simple tips that will have you losing weight in a balanced and healthy way.1. Lose weight with water.Water is essential for everybody - it is also the key to losing weight. If you haven t been drinking enough water, your body has developed a pattern of storing water. This water retention equals extra unwanted weight.By drinking more water, you are not only flushing out toxins, you are also teaching your body that it no longer needs to store water. Drink at least 60 ounces of water (about 8 glasses) a day. Boil water and sliced lemons, and drink this throughout the day to help with fluid retention. If you are still not sold on the merits of water, try this on for size: water is a natural appetite suppressant.2. Soup up your weight loss program.A simple dietary change will have you shedding pounds: eat a bowl of soup at least once a day. Nutritious, low-salt soups will nourish you as they flush waste from your body. People who eat a serving of soup daily lose more weight than those who eat the same amount of calories but don t eat soup. Go for homemade soup whenever possible, as canned soups are loaded with salt and chemicals.3. Eat early to keep weight off.The human body follows a circadian rhythm, which means that the same foods eaten at breakfast and lunch are processed differently than when eaten at dinner. Studies show that when you eat your daily protein and fat at breakfast you tend to lose weight and have more energy; however, eating the same things at dinner tend to increase tendencies toward weight gain. I suggest that you eat your last meal of the day by 7 p.m.4. Eat smaller meals, more frequently.Follow an eating schedule with five little meals every day. Eating steadily through the day keeps you from becoming famished and overeating at your next meal. Make a low-fat trail mix from raw almonds, pumpkin seeds, dried plum, and apples and have it available at all times to avoid the tempting lure of high-calorie snacks.5. Adopt a balanced approach to your diet. Most of the fad diet programs out there nowadays are extreme in a few recommended foods, or else deprive the body of food altogether. This works in opposition to our metabolism and the results usually don t last, producing a yoyo effect that depresses your metabolic function - not to mention your self-esteem. We are natural beings that need a balance of nutrition from all sources.Your diet should consist of a balance of organic sources of lean protein, complex carbohydrates, whole grains, legumes, nuts, fruits, and vegetables. Instead of white rice and pasta, opt for brown rice, bulgur, millet, or buckwheat.Eat more green, chlorophyll-rich foods such as broccoli, kale, spinach, and asparagus. Eliminate candy, sugar, soda, and all simple sugars from your diet. Excess sugar ends up being stored as fat in your body, which results in weight gain. Also, keep dairy to a minimum because most dairy products are high in saturated fat. Avoid fatty foods, processed or fried foods.6. Walk off the weight. The No. 1 cause of weight gain is inactivity. Physical activity is the key to speeding up your metabolism and burning excess calories. The best way to be physically active is to use your legs! Walk as often and as long as you can. Always take the stairs instead of the elevator.Step outside during your break at work and take a walk around your building. Consider joining a local hiking club. Try taking a walk 30 minutes in the morning or 30 minutes in the early evening.I hope this article helps you shed some pounds and add on the years! its dangerouse to go on any crash diet, i no from experience, dont do it its not safe, just exersize more and cut back a little (NOT ALOT!!) its very dangerouse you will lose muscle and matabolism do crunches with your legs together and lifted off the ground. then lean back until you feel your abs start to burn and do crunches just like that, you will really feel the burn and it is very affective, good luck ?

simple answer - there is no safe crash diet!!!!

Get a pilates DVD. You will be amazed at the changes you feel in your body within a week of using it!

well you would be better off eating healthy instead of a specific diet. eat lots of fruit veggies low fat protein. drink alot of water eat frequently to keep your metabolism up. 5 or 6 small meals a day. I like to walk for excersize, but running would burn more calories. join a gym, alot of the workout equipment tells you right then there how many calories you re burning. good luck.
