All of these tips are great. I know it is hard to lose. Another tip is having support from your friends and family really helps.Put pictures and notes on your fridge to remind you to stay on track. Green tea is also good to help curb your appetite and it is so healthy for you. There are so many ideas you just have to find the right one for you and stick with it. Good Luck.
i was at 150 lbs, and now im at 135 lbs! all i did was cut out soda, fast food, junk foods, and snacking! i thought i was gonna die :) but it was SO worth it in the end. I substituted soda and juices with water and tea w/ sweet n low or splenda. Doing a little exercise in the evening or am helped a lot too.
Eat healthy. If you like sports, try soccer. it will get your heart beating!
I have always been told that it doesn t matter how much you eat/don t eat or even what you eat, though you can t really eat fatty foods and expect to lose weight, but its the amount of exercise you do that matters. So even if you just take an extra 20 minutes a day to walk around the block or take the long way into work from the parking lot, every little bit helps to burn extra calories.
Walking really works,I weigh 230 pds. i joined the YMCA and have been walking on tread mill and lift weights I lost 13pds.in a week and a half. exercise makes you not hungry helps lift your spirit s depression DRINK LOTS of WATER, it washes fat out of your body and controls hunger I weighed 255pds. several years back and lost down to 125pds. taking diet pills, kept it off 4yrs. gained it back after being off pills!!!!!!!!!!!!!! pills are not the answer!!! WATER WALK EVERY DAY WILL WORK
Eat less..Exercise more....Fads,pills and starvation diets do not work. Its called self control.Conquer the urge to eat and lay around on the couch....Get active...
Easy calories in vs calories out.
try to decrease eating thing in it sugar. run and play sport everyday, also try to eat a proper healthy meals and keep away from fast food.
The best diet is a low carb diet. You eat no more than 65 carbs a day. Watch your fat intake as well. I lost 17 lbs in a short amount of time the first time I went on a low carb diet. It works! You can go to Barnes and Nobel and get a carb book that shows what foods have what carbs and how many they have. You can also buy low carb or no carb candy now for in between meals!
Go vegetarian. My husband dropped 50 lbs really fast, I dropped 15. It s amazing. All you have to do is avoid beef, pork, chicken and fish and eat lots of veggies. Even if you don t believe in the philosophy, you can loose the weight and go back to meat later with a new array of recipes and things to eat.
If you drink alcohol, quit drinking. The weight falls off so much faster.
when you think you want to eat drink a glass, then eat !!!!!
eat the same food u allways eat, just eat less ;)
Eat as much salad as you want with lowfat dressing, a multi vit and lots of water.
Ketosis. Our body puts on weight to store excess energy for later. Ketosis is the other side of the coin (ie the body s switch to draw on fat reserves.) see www.tonyferguson.com
I joined weight watchers a year ago March an lost 69lbs.they will help you and its not a diet...Good luck hun!
go backpacking round europe for 3 months
when u see something like chocolate or potato chips, grab a apple or something instead, get atleast 30 minutes of excercise each day, drink lots of fluids, more like water, keeps away from pop, or very thick juices, and eat healthy food, i luv chicken do u?
I know you asked for a tip, singular, meaning one. I am sharing with you my experiences so far with weight loss. My best tips...limit alcohol and sugar intake. I lost 8 lbs in one week by just doing that! Always, drink plenty of water, at least 8 glasses (I drink 10 throughout the day), eat plenty of fruits and vegetables (5 servings), and read the nutritional information on foods. A lot of foods have a lot of fat and sodium, which makes you retain a lot of water and weight. I ve been sticking to the old standbys like yogurt, raisins, fruit to snack on, and eating normal stuff but smaller portions. So far, I ve lost 17 lbs in 5 weeks, because some days are better than others...it really works for me. Right now, I am devoting at least 1 hour of exercise 3 days a week. I ll just ride a stationary bike for a half-hour and then get on the cross-trainer. Lately, I ve been doing 2 hours in the gym just to test myself and find my personal endurance. You don t want to overdo a workout, but you don t want one that is too simple either. Good luck with everything!
When I lost weight for my wedding I kept a huge pot of vegetable soup in the refrigerator. I would eat that before meals and when I got hungry between meals, because it is nutritious but low in calories and fat. I used the weight watchers recipe for the soup.
SlimUp is the answer. Its a weight maintenance pill
be a lot patien !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this is from experience, because last year I was a bit...big and I wanted to slim down so all it took was making healthy choices (not starving yourself) an occasional burger is ok ; ). But it also takes exercise dicipline goals and time. It won t happen instantly. Just pick up a fun sport do it regularly, stay with it and make healthy choices. And try to squeeze in mini exercises like parker further from the destination and what not trust me it works and it took me about half a year.
Eat less and work out. There are no short cuts. Prepare, prepare, prepare. Plan your menus, schedule when you work outs. Do not get discouraged.
Reduce eating and exercise.
Keep away from carbonated drinks as soda. Drink more water, and go out for a little walk at least everyday, to get your blood flowing.
Just to be different than your standard answers here, I d say do not focus on the scale. We all know you have to diet, exercise, and commit to what you are doing in order to gain lasting results for weight loss.My tip is to do the things you need to do and don t let the scale rule your behavior. It will only frustrate you, give you false hope, and keep you stressed and focused on that number of pounds.Commit to what you re doing and do the things you know you have to. Your body WILL respond and you WILL lose weight. Make the scale a secondary concern and something you use infrequently to monitor your progress.
I am doing it right now. I am a diabetic and I am only eating 2 carbohydrate servings per meal. You divide your plate into quarters, one quarter has the 2 servings of carbohydrate, another quarter has a lean protein and the other 2 quarters are vegetables(not potatoes, pumpkin, sweet potato, corn as they are all carbohydrates). This gives the body enough glucose to function, protein to prevent hunger and vegetables as fibre to assist the body in digestion, I have lost a lot of weight. Good luck.
Eat healthy and excersise. The best way. Have a dog? Walk it everyday after dinner and in the morning.
to get a pair of jeans/dress that you really love but are small for you by a size or two and hang it in your room to where you can see it and when you feel like stuffing yourself just rember how it would feel to fit in the jeans/dress and it gives you something to look forward to
