I would like to know the most effective ways to lose weight.The reason I gain weight is because I eat junk food; so I m cutting that out and going to eat healthy, and exercise (at home I have a treadmill and a crosstrainer).I just want to know what the best methods of exercise are to lose weight.Also the best times of day to eat, best amount of meals and stuff.Any tips would be great, thanks.

I would be loathe to try any supplements as suggested by Devan. There are so many supplements out there that promise miracles and just deny the body the nutrition it needs. They may help you lose weight in the short term by will damage your body in the long term.There is a very simple equation here: if you input less calories than you output, then you will lose weight. In terms of what to eat, then personally I find that a meal which gives lots of energy is good a few hours before exercising. I lost 35 pounds in the last year by doing the following:20 mins of exercise (run or bicycle or cross trainer) when I wake upbreakfast of 2 slices of wholemeal toast with marmitelunch of tuna and pasta with mayonnaise and olives, then an apple35 mins of exercise when getting home from work (run or bicycle).normal evening meal (not junk food)you will find that certain foods make you feel bloated, and heavy, and not want to do any exercise. I find that bread makes me feel this way, so only eat it for breakfast, and eating meat too often also makes me feel lethargic, but find what works for you. If you find you feel energetic after bread, then by all means keep eating it.It is really hard to get used to, as you are depriving yourself of calories that you used to eat, and also trying to motivate yourself to exercise. You will probably have numerous battles with yourself about not wanting to exercise, or just that 1 doughnut will not matter, and you shouldn t beat yourself up over the odd slip up. You have to remember that you are trying to change your lifestyle which won t happen overnight. from mon to fri don t eat potato,sweet potato,flour,sweet food like chocolate,coffeeeat other food like at least 2 times fish ina week.eat green veg, lentils,eat lean meat like lamb,beef,chicken.instead of butter use murgerine to cook sausage or bread. use multi grain bread like RYE,BARLIE, instead of coffee take tea. drink atleast 2 cups of tea..don t drink anytype of energy drink..for drink use plain water or squeeze lemon and drink. ok if u r out and take water in a bottle and squeeze the lemon..it really helps u to loose weight..try to cook at home.in Breakfast at 8 o clock in the morning a cup of tea, whole meal bread,murgerine or a bowl of whole grain cerial.at 10 am eat a bowl full of fruite salad( melon,water melon, apple,grapes, pear,kiwi,etc)at 12 o clock eat lunch. take a piece of salmon season with salt peper,lemon juice, in a non-stick pan or griller grill it by adding 1 tsp EVOO or sun flower oil. with salad, in salad chop cucumber,tomato,letuce,olives,boiled/gri�� chicken, boiled peas, chop carrots,mix well add salt,peper, lemon juice at 2 take a cup of green tea and fruite bowl..or drink any juice and shake like banana,strawberry,at 4 pm eat popcorn without butter. in a pan take oil 1tbsp over low heat add salt,dry corn and saute till it popups then cover it...(u can skip this meal also)at 7 o clock eat dinner. a bowl of rice, any curry(indian/chinise)(no coconut milk,butter,potato) and salald if u want u can drink 1 glass of wine but no more than that. whtever u eat at last before going to bed drink water with lemon juice.sat and sun..enjoy everything..now excersise..walk atleast 1000 steps per day...u can walk more than that..i walk 2000 steps in home..try to eat more veg.
