I know you don t want to hear this, but don t try to lose 10 pounds in a short period of time. If you are serious about being healthy and lowering your weight to a place where you are comfortable, change your eating habbits. You are probably very young. Don t start the roller coaster early. You are setting yourself up for a lifetime of failure. Cut out refined foods and eat only raw fruits and vegetables. Eat whole milk, organic yogurt (plain). Eat salmon 3-4 times a week. Eat lettuce every day. Drink plenty of water (key to losing weight.). Eat an avacado every day. Raspberries and Strawberries help to cleanse toxins from the body, allowing the fat to be taken out quicker.AVOID Low fat/No fat. This causes weight gain. Exercise up to 30 minutes a day. You are going to have to do some work. But I warn you, if you change everything all at once. You will not stick to it, and in 2 months you will gain back more than the 10 lbs you lost. 1. MAKE YOUR OWN FOOD. I cannot stress this enough. This is the most important item. Eating out is the absolute worst thing ever. It s really hard to find anything very healthy in almost any restaurant. Almost nothing is fresh, regardless of what they claim, and they pack so much sodium (salt, msg, etc) and other crap in there, you might as well just start drinking saltwater. Also I tend to find that many places that actually use quality ingredients are more expensive or too expensive to eat at everyday. Plus you ll save TONS of money. You can t lose here, Health plus tons of money!2. Quit drinking soda or anything with manmade sugar or substitutes in it, esp diet anything. Drink water or real juice.3. No dessert, no candy, etc...sugar is bad...maybe once a week is ok...3. Start exercising.4. stop eating too much meat and dairy and eat more fresh fruit and vegetables.5. Might sound ridiculous, but picture yourself in your mind as already being healthy and thinner. Your mind is your most powerful tool. Picture the end result, obsess about it, and get there. Don t think about now, how you are too big and don t like it, think about how you will feel when your losing that weight, have confidence you can do it, you ve already done it in your mind. I am 14, 5 6, and 190 lbs. I m so tired of being fat. It makes me feel horrible about myself. I d like to lose at least 30lbs. I know pretty much the only healthy way to do it is diet and exercise, but does anyone have any tips? I ve been trying to go out on walks every night and play DDR, but I can t seem to keep it up. Try jogging for 30 min every other day. That way you will be able to keep it up. if you excersice everyday you will end up giving up after a couple of weeks. Consistency is the key to losing fat. Also the most you can hope to loose in a week is about 2 pounds. More than that is probably unhealthy. Don t trust the scale too much.YOU CAN T LOOSE 10LBS IN 3DAYS. You are on the right track, just try and cut out the desserts every day, but don t deprive yourself completely, that never works! You have to be patient to see results, I know it s hard, but they will come! Also, I was never somebody who liked exercise either, and the only advice I have is just do it, even when you don t feel like it and over time it will become part of your routine and you might even look forward to it (like I do now). Also, you don t need to exercise EVERY DAY, 3-5 days a week is enough. You need some days off for your body to recuperate. However, nothing wrong with trying to add some more activity into daily life: take stairs, walk when you can! Good luck :)
