No diet works. Diets are quick for results but not long lasting. I ve done them all...seriously.I ve finally found the key to keeping a good weight is to lower your caloric intake to 1200 calories/day. I eat moderate portions of a card size peice of meat and a ton of fruits and veggies and do at least 30 mins of exercise-cardio- a day.
Check out the Fat Loss 4 Idiots diet. It is very easy to follow, healthy and cheap. Most people lose about 10-15 lbs a month. All you have to do is choose your favorite foods from a list. Then, the diet generator creates an 11 day menu for you based on these foods. You follow the menu (4 meals a day) for 11 days, and then you get 3 cheat days to eat whatever you want (don t go overboard, though). This menus are designed in a way to maximize your metabolism. You will be constantly rotating the types of foods you eat. This will speed up your metabolism and enable your body to burn more calories and fat, and therefore lose weight quickly. It really does work. Some of my friends have tried it and have lost weight and have kept it off. You are already eating healthy items, so it s easy to go off the diet when you reach your goal. Also, the way you are eating is a good way to eat for the rest of your life.http://www.fatlossforidiotsplan.com
I used to be 240 lbs 1 and half year ago and now I am 178. That is about 35 lbs a year, not great but I plateaued a lot. I am now 182 so I gained a few, happens but I am working it off.I ate under 1000 cals a day.I switched to diet soda, then to just water or unsweaten tea (soda has a lot of salt so it makes you look fatter than you are an retains water)My new goal is to be 145 in 2 months. Plan: 1 meal a day for 10 days, Atkins induction 10 days, Master cleanse the next 10, so on and so forth.I don t care if you folks think this is unhealthy, so is being fat and having people be really mean to you because of it. That is stress AND bad health, much worser than crash dieting thank you very much.
160 by the end of January is probably not realistic, not for a weight loss that will STAY lost. But, if any program can do it for you, this is the one:http://www.bodyforlife.comIt s balanced, it s healthful, it s real.
Atkins is the quickest and easiest for me. I ve lost 26 pounds in the last 45 days. I also walk a mile 3 times a week and have moderate activity the rest of the time (I mean...I m not walking NOW for instance). It s not LOW carb, it s CONTROLLED carb. You just don t hit your body with sugar that is going to overwhelm your bodies ability to handle it (which is when it stores it as fat). It s healthier. If you can t get enough vitamins and minerals (calcium/iron) from brocoli, onions, tomatoes, sprouts, whatever meat you like and some dairy products, somethings wrong. The nice thing is the foods you can eat. Eggs bacon (Sausage if you prefer) in the morning, Cheeseburgers, Salads with ranch sauce, Brocoli cheese, A ton of sugar free products made with splenda or malitol, A BLT w/ mayo in whole wheat bread a dill pickle side, Ice cream, egg salad, stuffed peppers. Once you learn what has carbs and doesn t, no need to count anything. Fiber makes many more things allowed .Bonus: The entire diet is ONLINE...no need to buy books or specially made expensive products. You don t need to drown yourself, but keep yourself hydrated on this diet. At least 3 24oz bottles of water. Stay away from Cola (Not that I do....I drink a ton of soda...but I m bad, don t be like me).** I calculated it out...at the rate I ve lost weight (yours would be different), I d lose 78 pounds by January 30th....if this was you, it would put you at 152. Check w/ your doctor but I d think they d be thrilled with that sort of change.
