What are some weight loss tips for a very overweight 13 year old ? -

I am 13, 5 3 and 184 pounds. And advice will help, because I can t handle my weight and if I don t do something I may commit suicide.

Nobody s committing suicide here.First of all, get blood tests done. If you ve tried everything and can t loose a pound, it may very well be thyroid problems, which can make you depressed, overweight-- and it s fairly common. Medication would make an enormous difference.Secondly, do lots of aerobics and cardio. Don t worry so much about weights and whatnot-- that tones muscle, and anything that speeds up your heartrate is what burns fat. Running is absolutely the best. To build fitness, you want to do half an hour three or four times a week, to maintain, you want two to three sessions. Skip rope is also fantastic. It s hard at first, but after about a week, you ll notice you can go further and faster. Run everywhere you can - to the fridge, to the mailbox, etc.And you know what? If you re stressed, the best thing in the world is exercise. Good luck!P.S - You could also try a vegetarian diet, or drop dairy(and replace it with soy!). But whatever you do, please don t take the suicide way out. It gets better.

Stop playing video games and get outside more.

SUICIDE IS NOT THE AWNSER PLEASE DONT DO THAT !!!! PLEASE DONT! THINK POSITIVE=) ill tell you what i did in grade 7 before grade 8 !!! if your acutally serious about it NO MORE JUNK FOOD not even pop. instead of drinking juice or pop drink water and mint tea eat more fruits instead of frozen , take out ,or junk food and yogurt expecially. dont get the yogurt that has fruits inside it has to many sugar only get the regular original one=) really worked for me and try your best to do sit ups cause i lost 26 pounds in one month whenever you sweat you lose wieght ! let me know how it goes! AND PLS PLS TELL YOUR PARENTS HOW YOU FEEL THEYL HELP YOU. PLS TELL THEM!

okay go on a healthy diet.talk ot you re parents.exercise for atleast an hour a day.doing crunches200)running for an hour, squats 15)I d advice more like an hour/half of exercising,.Don t talk like that anymore for starters!! I love extra bagegge!! So does my man!! =]

Stay away from fast food. Have your parents take you to a nutritionist for a balanced plan that is realistic. Cut out sodas and try to do something physical, even walking. It s a process. Your body is still growing and you may end up losing some of that fat if you eat healthier.

DO you think insurance companies that pay for smoking cessation programs in full but not weight loss programs? -

are discriminating. I think they are and want to know what others think.Overall those who are Obese/Overweight and Smokers have equally high health care costs. Please sound off

The ill affects of smoking have been researched longer. Insurance companies have identified and implemented preventative measures. It is going to take a proactive insurance company to implement an innovative incentive program for weight loss/prevention before this will become the norm in all insurance plans. However, I don t know if all insurance companies pay in full for programs that stop smoking. They may pay a percentage, but there are very few procedures that are paid in full. Normally the insurance holder must cover a certain percentage of the cost. PPO/HMO/Medicare, it doesn t matter, some will just cost more or less. The cost will depend upon if the doctor/program is in the specified coverage groups. The truth that people don t see about insurance companies, is that they aren t discriminating. They are in business to make money and provide a service. To simply discount their business practices without knowing all the facts is an uneducated argument. I know for a fact I don t know all the pros cons, but I do know from researching the insurance industry: They are alwasy looking for a way to save money.

I don t have facts but I always thought that unless someone was morbidly obese they would likely out live a heavy smoker...this may not be true but even still I think that I m a product of society and if society feels that being overweight isn t as big of an issue (health wise) as smoking the likely things (as far as insurance suport) will not increase financial support. Alot of people probably feel that if you put yourself at a higher risk (in weight or otherwise) it should not be payed for to decrease your risk!So yes it is discrimination to pay for one and not the other!

5lbs in a week weight loss? -

OK, so I know 2lbs a week is supposed to be healthy weight loss, but i ve lost 5lbs in a week so i m worried i m losing weight unealthily. I m 17 5ft2 and was 140lbs, now 135. I haven t upped my exercise at all. Usually I eat something like this:Breakfast: Weetabix, skimmed milk + sultanas.Snack: 2 SatsumasLunch: Prawn saladSnack: AppleDinner: Jacket potato + beans + salad/ lasagne + salad/ soup.Is there anything i m doing wrong? I really want this weight to stay off!!

As you were slightly overweight for your height (BMI of approx 25.5) when you began your diet the initial weight loss you experienced may seem a lot.In the first few days you tend to lose a lot of excess fluids which would account for your 5lbs. After this the weight loss should stabilise to the 2lbs or so you expect. Providing you maintain a calorie intake of between 1200-1500 cals and regular exercise (cardio based combined with weight bearing) then the weight is more likely to stay off.Make sure you drink plenty of water as this is an excellent aid to dieting and is something that should be done whether trying to lose weight or not.Good Luck!!

What Are Some Weight Loss Products For Teens? -

I need to find a weight loss product for Teens that I can find at a local store or such. Please Help, also I need to know if the product is good and works. :)

I have a small wellness center that offers a weight loss program specifically for teens. I ship for free. If you email me I will do a FREE weight loss profile for you and make lots of recommendations.LoriEmail is lookatmenow22@yahoo.comwebsite is www.lookatmenow22.com (my story and pic is on there)I would love to help

Products do work and work well. They work in a synergistic manner with proper diet and exercise. However to answer your question the way you requested and not be a sheep and rattle off the old diet and exercise is the only way response like everyone else I can inform you that what you are looking for is a thermogenic.Thermogenics are dietary supplements used to stimulate the body s burning of fat. Thermogenics increase the metabolism of the body s adipose tissue, generating heat (thermogenesis). Common thermogenic substances are ephedra, bitter orange, capsicum, ginger and caffeine.Add a thyroid activator and youll get even better results. All legal, all healthy if used as directed and all over the counter.

Three steps that have really helped me are dieting, exercising, and the correct weight loss supplement for losing weight. Focus on those three things and you will lose weight considerably. I exercise 30 mins a day along with taking Proactol, a natural weight loss supplement that I saved money on at theweightlossplace.com Good luck and stay focused = )

umm, try Slimfast, its sold in many local grocery, drug and department store.

Best weight loss product = Clean eating and exercise.

Are there any weight loss products that actually work? PLEASE ANSWER MEEE!!!? -

Okay I m pretty much a believer in the old Hard work s the only way to get anywhere slogan, but I m just wondering if there are any products out there that you have tried that ACTUALLY worked. Did any of them have horrible effects?Which ones? Also, have you heard of the benefits of using a sauna? Is that stuff true?

Keep up the hard work. I have lost 7 lbs in the last week with the help of ALLI...The more fat you eat, the more you will need to poo. If you keep the fatty foods to a min, you ll be fine. It s FDA approved which is why I tried it...So far loving it! I have more energy too which is a huge plus! : ) Good luck!PS - No idea on the sauna thing...

If you are willing to spend a little, yes! Hoodia is an all natural appetitite suppressant and if you get the right stuff it works very well. There are many hoodia products but I found only one that is pure called unique hoodia and you can order it online. There is a money back guarantee if you are not satisfied with the results. Here is a link for more information Good Luck!

Yes, a sauna is good for you, to an extent.and Im currently using Hydroxycut, so far it works.and no effects

Question about healthy weight loss :)? -

I am loosing weight by eating right and excercising. I have a cardio and strength training routine that I am supposed to do 4-5 times a week for about 1 and 1/2 hours per day. As a university student, for my summer job I will be working at a childrens outdoor camp and living in a cabin. Since I assume that I wil be running around outside doing activities all day will my workout still be effective if I skip the cardio portion when I am at camp? WIll I still be able loose about 2 pounds per week? Im just not sure I want to go jogging by myself in bear country lol Thanks ppl.

Wow! You re doing great! Ok, try to avoid the typical high starch/fat/carb camp foods and find ways to incorporate exercise into your daily routine and you should be okay.Failing that, maybe wear a bear bell and go for a jog with a few people?

In order to not do your cardio at camp you have to maximize every opportunity you have to work out.You ll be outdoors at a camp! Go for a hike with other people, go swimming, play vollyball/baseball/soccer.As long as you re being active every day there won t be a need to excersize on top of it, you ll be to exhausted anyway.Just be careful of camp food . You may not loose the weight you want if you eat the crappy high calorie food they normally serve at camps.

Limit your cals to 1400/day while at camp and work the cardio into your job. That shouldn t be too hard to do at summer camp chasing after all those kids. With this plan, 2 pounds/week may be doable, depending on how much you weigh now, but don t be disappointed with only a pound a week. Good luck and have fun!
