I would really like to slim down before summer. Please help me.? -

First of all, I don t have much money to spend right now, so I can t afford any weight loss programs or exercise equipment. What I want to do is to get thinner. What are some good exercises that I can do at home? Are there any good weight loss tips? I also want to lose weight in a healthy way. I only want to lose about 10 pounds for now. Does anyone have ANY suggestions?? Please let me know if you do. I would really appreciate it.

first I would cut out all soft drinks, or anything that you regularly drink that has sugar in it. try to drink at least 64 oz of water daily (8 glasses). the majority of the food intake should be of natural foods that have not been processed. whole foods contain more nutrients with less calories than do processed foods and they keep you feeling full longer. so a potato or yam would be better than pasta or bread, etc. make sure that each meal there is some protein and carbohydrates included. check out the website below. you can adapt many of the exercises to use either just your body weight or instead of weights a can of soup, etc.http://www.exrx.net/Lists/Directory.html

Weight loss?? -

i am 14, i weigh about 110. and im really unhappy about it, all of my friends are these pinthin sticks, and it really bugs me!i really would like to loose about 5-10 pounds, is this bad?i dont wanna go on a crazy crash diet, because i know how bad they are, but i would LOVE to weigh 100 or less, i need some tips to eating healthy weight loss, please help!thanks so much!

Start eating a bit of a high protein diet and doing some working out. The best way to make a good change in your situation is to have a body type that is different then your friends. I say this to you because trying to keep up with people that are skinny if you have trouble with that is a losing battle, better instead to get yourself in better shape then everyone else and then you will not be judged for that bodytype.

Whats a healthy weight loss rate? -

So far I ve lost almost 25lbs over the last year and a half, but I haven t really put myself on a structured or strict diet or workout routine. What is a healthy rate to lose weight if I want to lose weight faster and still keep it off?

About 1-2 pounds per week is optimal. Aim for about a pound a week and you ll do just fine. :)A structured diet/regular exercise will help, so by all means try to regulate those.Hope that helped!

It is suggest to not lose more than 2 lbs per week. However, I am not sure if this is the kind of thing that will help you or that you are looking for, but this is what has helped me. It s a website. This is 100% free. You put in how much you are trying to lose, and by when and it will tell you how many calories you would have to eat per day. It will give you a workout routine if you want one and if you don t it will tell you how many calories you would have to eat without exercise and still lose the weight. Although, keep in mind that exercixe will help it to come off faster. Plus the website offers meal plans too. This is a website that has helped me to lose weight (34 lbs. since Jan. 08). I could have actually lost more but I have been slacking a lot. It allows you to create a blog, keep track of what you ve eaten, and your fitness. Along with some other things. It is kind of set up like myspace if you are familiar with that, but it is only for weight loss. It is www.SparkPeople.com, and if you decide to do it you can tell them I sent you or stop by my page, my name there is Tryin2Lose2.

Almost all the literature That I have read state that to keep the weight off you should not lose more than two pounds a week. But make sure to eat. increase your fresh fruits and veggies.some dairy and whole grains. Try to keep oils and simple sugar use spare. olive oil has better health benefits. Good luck

the safest rate for losing weight is about 3lbs/week...you must portion control food fluid intake(take note of this that I`m NOT asking you to go on any diet) as well as workout 6 days/week, combining both cardio and toning workouts in adequate levels...good luck

Probably no more than 2lbs a week because if you lose more than that I believe you re losing weight in your body s water, so it s a false reading and you actually deprive your body.

Weight loss is a tricky thing you ll have to stay with the strict eating habits but also treat yourself every so often My motto is lose inches before pounds

Most medical doctors say the safest weight loss rate would be 2-3 pounds a week.

you should run every day for about an our and then eat healthy foods

Best way for a teen to lose weight? -

Any tips for weight loss? It just seems like I can t get myself to try any weight-loss program, I wanted to try Weight Watchers, but I heard it s too restrictive. All the answers are greatly appreciated! thanks! :) Let s just say I m 15, 5 4 and pretty overweight. :(

Weight loss is an overall process and there are no magic answers. Pay no attention to weight loss supplements and pills and all the latest fads. You need to think about many factors but most of them are related to issues we ve known about for a very long time. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one. In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy. Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don t. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies. Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day. Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body. An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.Check out websites about nutrition, exercise, weight training, etc. Here are a few helpful links.http://www.nutrawatch.com/http://www.caloriesperhour.com/http://www.helpguide.org/life/healthy_eahttp://www.wikihow.com/Lose-Weight-the-Hhttp://weightloss.about.com/cs/fitness/ahttp://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/fe

Do you think you can stop asking questions concerning your weight? Though if I were you I d read these other answers they make tons of sense! Also you ve asked this many times before , does this mean you aren t taking anyone s advice? For example asking questions on yahoo answers about it isn t going to make you lose 50 pounds right away or ever for that matter. if I were you Id get off the computer and go excersise :)

if i were you i would eat 1000-1200 a day just because if you eat less then a thousand your metabolism will slow down and your body will think your starving yourself and it will store anything you eat as fattry this ive been doing it for 4 weekswhen i started this i weighed 138 (im 14 almost 15 and 5 4)and now im 118try this:eat whole grain cereals(high in fiber and protein-protein is needed to burn fat) *try go lean brand at trader joes*with fat free milk for breakfast and the rest of the day have fruit and vegetable (uncooked no butter)most fruits and vegetables have negative calories(the body burns more calories digesting the food than it actually provides MUST BE EATEN RAW FOR NEGATIVE CALORIE AFFECTand throw in 3-4 ounce piece of salmon for dinnertry taking hoodia supplements it really helpsdrink green teacarry water with you all day(ice cold water is best because the body has to use calories to digest cold water)drink a ice cold glass of water before breakfast and dinnerdon t eat after 8:00exercize at least an hour a dayfidget all you can (scientist say people who fidget burn hundreds of more calories a day than people who sit still)*good for people who have desk jobs or go to school, who spend alot of time a day sittinghere is a list of negative calorie foods to help youhttp://www.weightlossforall.com/negativegood luck i hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!

How do you avoid becoming scrawny on a diet? -

I have been obese most my life, and have just had a very successful weight loss program that took about a year to take pounds off and get me into the normal range. That s the good news. The bad news is, I now look like a scare crow -- no tone, no muscle. Whereas I was embarrassed to remove my shirt before I lost weight because of a pot belly, now I am embarrassed to because I am so hollow chested and wasted looking. I don t want to become heavily muscled like a weight lifter, but I would like to have some solid, NORMAL mass to my frame. Is it too late for that? What is the best way to do this?By the way, I opted for diet rather than exercise in the first place, because I have some physical/health issues that prevent me lifting very much at all. I should be able to walk or cycle or do anything that doesn t take too much straining. Will this help overall in filling me out, or what will it take?In advance, thanks for your time and input.

Maybe you could go to the gym and get a personal trainer who can set up a good program for you. Good luck. You know I sort of have the same problem. I lost 30 pounds really fast just dieting about a year to a year and a half ago but I still don t have everything toned like I d like to.

I just lost 5 sizes and don t have your problem but I ate vegitables and fruits.Watch what meats you eat,don t ever eat the skin or fat. Stay away from bread and white pasta s,rice and starchy foods that turn into sugar in your body.Drink skim milk it has all the things that real milk has except the fat. I m to ride a bike rather than walk fast do to limitations of the back.(it s the jarring of your spine)

you should definitely walk, maybe try cross country skiing, or boat rowing? that will work your chest muscles without lifting anything

High protien diet and a good weight lifting program..
