How to lower body fat when exercise and diet is not enough? -

I ve been in a weight loss program for over a year. I ve been eating well and exercising at least 4 times a week however my body fat doesn t seem to go down. I know lean muscle helps reduce fat but how can i enhance the current plan that i currently have. I m wondering if any one knows about any good vitamins, shakes or diet pills that are good for you. No pills are gonna do it for you. Look hard at your diet. Check for hidden sources of fat or excessive calories. Many processed foods have a lot of added fat to increase flavor. Educate yourself and learn to read package labels. Also tweak your exercise program. You body can adapt to a plan over time. Shake it up a bit and look at increasing the intensity where you can. You are in better shape than you were a year ago. Make more demands of your body.

Dont use diet pills. If ur eating well and excercising regularly, then guess wat ur healthy.

If you are burning more calories than your intake, you should be losing fat. Maybe the net loss is so small as to be undetectable. I think you should increase the intensity and duration of your exercise program as curbing eating is not the fun way to do it.For example I eat at all-you-can eat buffet places 7 days a week, but have a healthy workout regimen at the health club, and I am not fat or obese. People think I weigh around 175 lbs (I m male) but actually I weight 195lbs because muscle weighs more than fat.

Have you taken the time to run the numbers? How many calories do you actually consume? Do your workouts more than offset the calories you are taking in? There really is no magic about weight loss, despite advertising we re bombarded with daily. You don t elaborate on your exercise program, but 4 days a week isn t all that much unless you re doing something aerobically significant for more than a couple hours at a time. Walking is a good start, but it doesn t burn many calories unless you do it for a REALLY long time, several hours. Lifting is insignificant for calorie burning because it doesn t elevate the heart rate. Unless you are spending hours in the gym getting huge, you aren t going to add enough lean muscle to have much of an impact on your calorie requirements. Running is best, cycling a close second.

Well, if you could elaborate a little bit more on your exercise program that would help, because it may be intensity that you are lacking. You don t seem opposed to putting on muscle, which is great for boosting your metabolism, but you won t gain muscle putting in 50% effort (you have to give your muscles a reason to grow). And I m not suggesting you try to lift the whole rack of plates either, as that s an easy way to injure yourself.And diet, it changes with your goal; if you want to gain muscle, calories consumed calories spent. If you want to lose weight calories consumed calories spent; and the biggest tip i can give you about calories is DON T DRINK THEM! 5 yrs ago I was 145. Healthy and fabulous. Now I m 245 5 6. I ve tried it all, but nothing works.I have a double chin a big apron roll on my belly and my legs are huge. I m in size 24 pants. Nothng fits, and I feel lost. I can t even keep up with my kids and am so tired I just want to sit and watch tv. I don t want my kids to turn into me. I don t have any money left after payday, being a single mom of 2, to join a gym (tried before couldn t stay motivated because I hated going myself). Tried Weight Watcher, Jenny Craig, but I hate vegetables so it didn t work for me. I try to excercise, but I never have enough energy. My insurance doesn t pay for any type of weight loss program. I just keep getting bigger. I gained 15 pounds this last month. I don t know what to do anymore. I just to need a step up, some help to get me on the right road so I can stay motivated. Stomach stapling? Lipo? but obviously can t afford it. I don t know. I really hate myself and don t even like to go out.

Well, all I can tell you is to eat a healthy diet, using common sense as to what and how much to eat, and exercise enough (walking at least a couple kilometers a day will help). So far it s worked for me. At any rate, if you try to go the usual path of eating junk and then working out for hours every day, it probably won t help that much, and even if it does you ll find you re not enjoying yourself, that you re essentially living for the sole purpose of losing weight. Don t do this. I d say, fix what you eat first, THEN start exercising.Also, don t give in to the desire to watch TV. If you want to see the news, have some fun, whatever, then go on the Internet instead. It s been shown that using a computer doesn t make you gain weight while watching TV does (because computer users have to keep their hands busy, which prevents them from eating).

well idk what 2 tell u but i think u should still go to the gym...and even if u don t like working out do it ne ways...and keep in your mind ur goals and ur true reasons y u r doing this....i dont like pe in my school i have to run a mile every day and i am NOT the runner person even though i am 5 3 and 113 lbs. yeah so i tell myself look if i keep on going i can finish and then i can leave it helps me run alot faster since i hate pe.....but hey gym is fun if u want the easy way out ur going to have to find a way to gain money to do a gastric bypass and that if u even qualitfy for the surgury...and lypo is good for ur arms and neck and legs too

You just have to exercise. Get rid of all the unhealthy junk in your cabenits. All it will do is tempt you. Don t eat alot of high-fructose corn syrup. This will be good for you AND your kids. Go for a 30 minute walk everyday. This may be hard, but gradually your body will get used to it and you ll start to feel better about yourself. If you get out of breath, talk to your doctor about asthma (maybe you have it) and they ll prescribe a medication. Go for a family walk or hike every weekend. The best advice I can offer is to eat right and exercise. The basic stuff.

Which do you hate worse?feeling like crap or vegetables?Obviously if you want to change your going to have to make some sacrifices in what you want as opposed to what your going to have to do.Make eating healthy your new job.There are hundreds of diffrent vegetables out there and hundreds of ways to eat them.What about stirfry?What about veggie subs.What about fruit.Some things are an acquired taste.How about a salad with some ham or chicken?Start going for a walk with your kids everyday its good for them its good for you.Im overweight too so I feel your pain but I look pretty good because Ive made alot of small changes.Im about 30 pounds over weight but the things Ive done have helped me to lose 12 pounds and They can help you too.Also try eating some Walnuts on top of some lowfat strawberry yogurt.Its delicious.I really hope that you can find something that works for you.No matter what never give up.Things can get better.
