What is healthy for weight loss/dieting? Ive lost 13lbs in 17 days.? -

I m a not a health person so perhaps I need some advice on the issue. I was tired of being a little pudgy and I decided to lose some weight. I m in my early 20 s and my initial weight was 174 at December 20th. It is now January 5th and I currently weight 161. I would like to be around 140-145. Therefore, I have lost 13 lbs in 16/17 days. From a glance in a mirror I feel a lot better as I look thinner. I am not quite sure of the proper healthy methods of dieting and exercising. I have been munching on about 400-500 calories a day (frozen diet meals), vitamins, daily 3 mile running/walking, push ups, and sit ups, drinking a lot water. However, as of late I feel really exhausted and running seems much more difficult, small headaches, hard remaining focused/keeping attention. Is my weight loss program detrimental to my health or am I doing this properly? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

no, honey, this really isn t healthy. The amount you eat is burnt off simply by the 3 mile run leaving you with no energy to... well... live. Losing almost a pound a day is too much and can be really dangerous, you see If you try to lose more than the recommended one to two pounds of fat per week, your body will turn to and burn its own muscle for energy. The loss of lean muscle mass negates any weight loss you might be trying to accomplish, as muscle is what makes your body healthy and toned. Having more muscle makes your resting metabolism work harder, which means you burn more calories while you re at rest. You must consume at least 1,200 calories a day to prevent the loss of muscle.Plus, the lethargy, toll on your appearance, likely malnutrition and weakened immune functioning due to such a restrictive diet isn t all that great either. You can afford to eat a bit more and lose weight a little slower for the sake of your health!xxx

You are exhausted and not feeling well because you have restricted your caloric intake far too much.Check out this website: www.fitday.comThey have a calculator to figure out how many calories you need to maintain your current weight, and how many you should consume based on your lifestyle and activity level. In general, 1200 calories a day is considered very restricted for a female, and you are at 500. Wow.

Dramatic weight loss?? -

I know that a healthy weight loss is between 1-2 lbs a week.. Ive been on a healthy diet and exercising everyday, by the end of the week i lost 8 lbs! is this even possible?!?! i checked my scale and its correct and i weighed myself the day i started and like 10 times today to make sure it is what it says......

wow , you are losing weight at a gr8 space, it` normal.. don`t worry..

are you cutting the carb?

HelloSome interesting new research by a doctor has identified several species of parasites and a specific type of goopy plaque that if left in your bowels makes you fat, bloated, developing a pouch and spare-tire belly. This is the cause of peoples obesity -- fortunately, this research also reveals how to stop it. It further explains that the same cause of why people get fat is also the same reason why people eventually get sick and die prematurely -- often cutting off years from their lives (not to mention the quality of their lives).People who flush these parasites out, often report rapid weight losses up to 100 lbs or more -- and without changing a single thing about their diets. Not that you need to lose anywhere near that amount... but it does prove how well it works.More information there http://www.thefatlosssecret.blogspot.com

its common for someone to notice a dramating loss in the first week or so as long as you are eating healthy it will not continue at that rate... during the first week you generally lose a bit of water weight which wont continue and also if you dramaticly changed your eating habits and are eating less that will also show up in the first week...but probably less than one of those 8 lbs that you lost are actually fat ...sorry... but def keep ut the good work

How to lose weight...extremely fast? -

I am going to a camp in like 2 weeks. I have a lot of weight to lose. We re talking 50 pounds. If you re good in math you ll realize that s about 3 pounds a day. Give me a diet or meal plan or something, please. I m so desperate. I will not stoop to pills though or any medication. Exercise CAN T be the key, though. Please don t give me any of this that s unrealistic garbage. I don t want to hear it. Look, if you feel that I m begging...I am! Don t give any stupid gradual weight loss program, I want to lose 3 pounds a day. Don t tell if it s possible or not, just tell me how. It shouldn t be making me run for 10 hours. Little exercise, moderate eating, and fast weight loss. Please help me, I really am ashamed of my weight and now have a deadline of 2 weeks! Please help me!

Metamussel or exlax, or benefiber.....my friend took the last one and was crapping for hella days! She lost 6 lbs in one day! Drink lots of water too

It s a bad idea to try to lose so much weight in such little time. I have successfully lost about 40 pounds in month and half..but even that wasn t such a good idea. I replaced one of my meals with apples. Cut back on the bread and rice, but amped up my consumption of meat and chicken breast. Of course exercise helped a lot. Took up boxing which burned pounds like crazy. There are some weight loss drugs out there that might work for you. But I suggest you consult a doctor before going down that route. These may also have some side effects that aren t that pleasant. Nonetheless, most of them work. Try xenical. Read more about it a href= http://www.euromedonline.com/weighThe bad part, I gained some of the weight back after a year (about 15 pounds)..not so bad, but that s because I didn t even try to maintain my weight. I eat a lot and I don t exercise at all now. Losing weight is just the beginning, it takes a lot of discipliine to keep it off.

the only way to lose weight is by using more calories than you consume. 3500 calories equal one pound of fat so to lose three pounds a day you would have to use 10500 more calories than you consume that day. I m not sure if it s really possible unless your body burns an abnormally high amount of calories anyway (ie a VERY high metabolism)Of course the more you weigh the more calories your body needs to just live and function but even for someone weighing 250 lbs and having a moderately active lifestyle their body only needs about 2600 to do so.Good luck.

To successfully lose weight, you must carry outa plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionallybalanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity. I found useful informations at http://myweight.info/

Yep it is unrealistic infact you would probably nearly die if you lost 3 pounds a day - but you didn t want to hear that so seeing as you will never get a diet like and will end up starving yourself check this out:www.cabbage-soup-diet.com/ - 100% free, no registration with complete recipe and cooking instructions + 7 day eating plan BUT don t click on the better weight loss solution in the yellow box, it requires you to payIt is describes as enabling one to lose up to 10 pounds a week (soup is alot tastier than it sounds). Although I can t stop you don t do it for more than week and give it atleast 2 weeks break in between if you have to but ultimately its up to you.Combine that with 30 mins alternating walking/jogging and you are set for as big a weight loss as you should have, even though technically you should not even try something this drastic. If you are 18 or under also don t do it and remember you may look better for camp but without a proper diet/exercise routine it ll be there to greet you when you come backAlso I am not a doctor but have tried this before and it worked for me (until I put it all back on) so ASK YOUR DOCTOR before doing it like I did mine recenly!

okay first, its not good to loose a lot of weight in such a little time. but here s something i try once in a while.run/walk about an hour a day. after that workout, whether you go to the gym or something. swimming is also very very good. its gonna trim you down real fast real good. at the beach, pool, anywhere, just try. Im not 100% sure if you ll loose 3 pounds a day but this is a very good way to be on your way.also, pick 2 days in a week and eat nothing but 1 egg white in the morning. then in an hour and a half eat 1 grapefruit. then in another hour and a half eat 1 egg white. and back n forth. DRINK A LOT OF WATER. GRAPFRUIT BREAKS DOWN AND BURNS FAT. the fat will not leave your body if you dont drink water. You will loose 2 lbs a day like this. (so i heard)pls make sure u dont overdo it. consult your doctor if you feel like fainting. good luck.

How can I stay motivated? -

Whenever I decide to start a weight loss program, I can t stay motivated for very long. How can I keep myself motivated for a long time?

visualize your weight. see the reactions of the people when they realize that you take action on your statements ,,,know that these reactions will compromise your integrity for you if you dont acomplish this know that every word that comes toward compromising is that of a negative energy..use this to utilise your truth and to defeat the negative that brings you to the breaking point and let those who do so know that they are not motivating you and u are now surounded by posative results .only if they ask.because they will know that your journey started with this first step...they will wish for your will to be theres..its really that easy

Its very hard... I even came in here and an asked for some dieting buddys, to kinda like report to once a day or when ever, I was hoping that would help, But after bout a month they all stopped replying...lol An stopped dietting............... But I started again this week so imma have figure out a way to.. hehe If you d like to talk you can add me to yahoo messenger or e-mail me...Im goin to the beach in May So i gotta lose some weight..... lol Heres my email hope to here from u an if not good Luck!akers_042@yahoo.com

No hard feeling but look at your self in the mirror and you will find the motivation.Nobody can tell you what to do exept your self. Regards.............

The first thing you could do is think positiv. Write down all the benefits you would get from losing weight. Put this paper somewhere you pass by everyday, a fridge or in the bathroom.think about all the good stuff you can eat, the healthy food you like.I like red peppers, tomatos, cucumber, fruits ... whenever I have a craving for something sweet i try to eat the healthy food. of course not always. Staying motivated means thinking positiv. No matter what you do try to find good things in bad situations. Loosing weight might be annoying for you sometimes but try to find the positiv aspect.I hope I could help you. :-)

By having people motivate you, I was on a quick start program from herbalife here the website www.HerbUrHealth.net and they call every few days to make sure that you are not cheating or skipping anything that really helped me lose the pounds and fast too. They dont just sell the products, they help you get the results you are looking for even after you buy the product.

quot;Weigh Downquot; workshop--Any opinons? -

Has anyone ever heard of the Weigh down weight loss program, and if so do you have anything good or bad to say about it?

Yes. I joined a group several years ago and was successful with the Weigh Down program. It is like everything else, if you apply yourself, you will be successful at it. The minute you stop, you will more than likely go back to your old habits and consequently gain weight. The group I was in eventually quit meeting. I learned some great things going through the program and I still apply some of those things to my life. Some good advice that really works.....you need to exercise and drink water, water, water! Going through the program also helped me with my personal relationship with God. It is a good program. Best wishes!

Well how are you supposed ask people meanwhile most of them dont know how to eat healthy? I suggest you eat healthy, but how would I know any specific thing healthy means?

weight watchers! it s all about a healthy lifestyle. everything in moderation.but you re so young, your body is probably going to change a lot. just be patient!

You re very young sweety. Weight fluctuates rapidly as kids become teenagers and than adults. Hormones are wreaking havoc on your body, and sometimes there s not much that can be done.I m very happy that you re active and conscious of the kinds of food you eat. That s the best way to be! I used to be very pudgy when I was 13, but 3 years later my body is leveling out. Bodies just work differently.I say this because you re doing all the things required to lose weight. Keep doing it! Even if you feel like you aren t getting anywhere, because you are. Get out and have fun being active as much as you possibly can, and once you get older your be surprised at how your body has regulated itself.I can t stress it enough. Keep up what you re doing!

Weight Watchers for sure, it works
