Tips to lose weight and stay fit/active for a teenager? -

I need tips on how to lose weight and stay fit/active for a gym project. Some main subtopics are: How to lose stomach and hip fat. thank you

There is no quick fix solution when it comes to being healthy and improving fitness. The best thing to stay fit and healthy is to change your lifestyle. This means eating a balanced diet of all the major food groups and eating nutritious foods. Also exercising is important. Joining a fun, new sports team or going walking everyday will help your endurance levels and help you build up muscle strength. You don t have to starve yourself and obsessively over exercise to be healthy because that isn t good for you at all. What is most important, is to get the balance right so that you are feeling good about yourself, taking care of your body and still have plenty of time for all the fun life has on offer.Good luck with your gym project! =]

Exercise and eat right. That s all you need to do, really. Alot of running, sit-ups etc. that work on your stomach area.

Check out this site. They offer a free E-book on weight loss that might be able to help you.

eliminate all soda s or drinks that aren t water. even gatoradeand dont eat fried foods i guarantee that you will lose weightas a sixth grader i weighed 165 lbs and summer between 6th and 7th i dropped to 130lbs. i ate none of the above and ran 1-2 miles a day. a 7inch growth spirt helped out too.

How to lose weight the healthy way? -

so ive been working out for about two hours, two to four times a week, for about two months. but i still weigh the same! how do i lose weight without going hungry?

Here are a few tips;WHEN to eat for losing weight... ? Eat (at least) three times a day. Because when you eat only once a day, your metabolism gets slower than it already is! That s the main reason. Sounds funny, but to lose weight... you must eat (the right things, of course) ? Eat low-fat, high-fiber foods such as salads and vegetable pastas.? Your last meal should be before 18:00. Try. OK, one apple after 18:00 ? Don t starve Starvation is not good for losing weight, nor your health. Starvation is the worse thing you can do in a weight loss diet. ? Try oatmeal instead of cornflakes for breakfast--eating oatmeal can help reduce cholesterol levels, and its high fiber content will keep you full longer.WHAT to drink for losing weight... ? Drink 6-8 glasses of water every day ! Can be tap, plain, mineral, sparkling. I just love mineral sparkling water! This improves your bowel, reduces the hunger sensation, and hydrates your skin. Your skin will look much better after the first weeks! Don t believe the slogan water makes me fat . Beside being stupid... you might get into serious troubles with your kidneys. ? Drink ONLY natural juices, freshly squeezed! Don t drink Coca Cola, Pepsi, Spite etc. during the diet. Even lite or light versions. ? Avoid those vending machines by carrying around your own healthful foods and leaving pocket change at home.Exercise for losing weight... ? If you want quicker results - exercise would be good. ? Don t just sit in front of the TV and eat peanuts... I guarantee THIS won t work for your weight loss... ? Start a regular exercise program and stick with it. Don t be afraid of those sweat suits and Lycra pants! ? Start swimming. Swimming is an excellent exercise to get involved with, since it increases blood flow and uses muscles we don t regularly use. Start a swimming program and try to do it 3 times a week. You will feel excellent and rejuvenated.? Choose an exercise program that you enjoy, and don t shun the unconventional. For instance, did you know that regular vigorous dancing is exercise too?? Also Cardiovascular exercises such as running, jogging, or aerobics will help you lose that unwanted belly fat. Weight training can also help you lose body fat because the more muscle mass you have, the more ability your system has to burn body fat.Good luck!

good luck !!!--- Report Abuse

to lose weight you have to be burning more calories then you eat. If your not eating enough of the right thing your body might think its starving and hold on to the fat. Also if you are working out you may be toning up, muscle weighs more then fat so you wont appear to lose weight at all if your gaining muscle and losing fat. Also only way to lose fat is Cardio. You cant have a washboard stomach if you have a layer of fat over the top you wont see the muscle. Good luck

Since you are doing quite a lot of exercising, I think the only other way is to eat less food. You will feel very hungry at times, but just try to persevere see if it helps to lose more weight. Whatever you do, dont stop working out but instead look at what you are eating as this might be the key to achieving your goals. Good luck !

Exercise atleast 5 days a week for 30minutes per day. And eat lots of vegetables and fruits. No fast food.

How can i lose weight over Summer without taking pills? -

The only ways to lose weight is to either reduce your calorie intake or to burn more off (exercise). If it is too hot to do anything outside maybe you could buy a skipping rope to do some exercises inside?Regarding weight loss, you can t target where you burn the fat off so don t try and slim your legs for example. The weight will come off each part of your body over time so just work on your diet and do a bit of exercise and you ll be fine. There are also diets such as the Medifast Diet Plan which isn t as dangerous as taking pills and it has been shown to work for many many years. I posted a link below if you wanted to read up on it.

Hi!Diets have come and gone and a new one will be invented tomorrow promising you everything and delivering very little. That is because they are considered something you go on and then go off. In other words, they are temporary. That is not to say they are useless just that they will never give you continued success unless you change some things permanently. What is a Diet Good for?Diets have their place in your weight loss goals. First of all, they can be beneficial to jump starting your metabolism. Kind of a fire starter if you will. A jump-start will give you more energy and the initial weight loss can boost your self-confidence.However, you will need to be ready to make some whole life changes if you want the results to be permanent. What are some changes you will need to make? Well a lot of that depends on you.Lifestyle Changes- Fast FoodAre you a fast food junkie who eats out at least a couple of times per week? If so, you will find that you have plenty of company. Many people are so busy that the drive through is a perfect solution for dinner, lunch and even breakfast. The problem is many have no idea that one meal from a fast food restaurant can contain nearly a whole day s caloric intake. One popular fast food joint has a burger that is 750 calories! The burger alone is a third of your recommended daily allowance; add the fries and a drink and you are done for the day.Does this mean you can never have fast food again? Not necessarily, but it will mean that you have to be aware of what you are eating. Most fast food places have a website that contains all the nutritional information for the foods they serve. Check them out then make you a list of safe fast foods.Exercise ChangesIf you never move your body more than from the house to the car to work and back you will have a hard time losing weight and keeping it off. The human body functions best when there are periods of exercise. It increases mood stabilizers in the blood stream and best of all burns calories. While you are on your diet, take the time to incorporate exercise into your life. You will feel better and increase your weight loss rates exponentially. Start with a walk, park further away from the store or your office. Then as you progress, find time to walk more or jog. Whatever you can comfortably fit in your schedule will be a great place to start.Healthy EatingThis is absolutely the most important part of all. While you are on your chosen diet, you will want to become familiar with healthier food choices. Find ways to make your favorite foods better for you. Can you substitute ground turkey for ground beef in some recipes? Learn new recipes that include fresh fruits and vegetables. You see your body needs several things to function at a healthy level. Proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals just to name a few. You also need certain fats to cushion joints and protect your vital organs. Create a lifestyle eating plan that brings all of these elements into play and you will feel amazing and best of all you will be able to lose weight and keep it off.If you are looking for a proven diet with which you can lose weight in short time, Fat Loss 4 Idiots is the answer. Check out my source link, you ll see much more info about the program that really works. Good luck!

Eating more of fresh fruits, vegetables, nuts and other plant foods can help you burn fat and increase your metabolic rate.Exercise not only burn calories while doing it but, also increases basal metabolic rate, meaning that you can burn more calories even when at rest. Aim to exercise for 1 hour on most days - aerobic exercise like brisk walking, jogging, bicycling(real or stationary) and trampoline exercises are good for losing weight. Eat a healthy breakfast and don t skip it. Breakfast skipping slows down body metabolism and may defeat any weight loss effort. Drink 8-10 glasses of water daily.source:http://waytoloseweight.net/

All you need to do is exercise and eat right. Yes, nothing else. I did only those two things last summer and lost a total of 35 pounds. I limited my calorie intake to 1500 calories because my body burns 1200 and i gave myself wiggle room. Calculate your bmi using a bmi calculator and find out how many calories your body naturally burns through googling. I changed my high sugar high fat drinks to water and low calorie drinks. Use hungrygirl.com to get some great recipes for all meals and some great tips! Start walking or jogging daily. I aimed for 2 miles. If you tend to ask ur little sibling to do things for you, then stop and do them yourself. Help your mom with the dishes. get up and get out. I hope this helps and you are as successful as me.

How should i lose weight when i m 14 years old? -

i m only 14 years old and my mum and sisters are always telling me to lose weight but i don t know how to ? Can some of you lot tell me how to lose weight i do pe in school. and i do work with my mum at home but i don t know what to do i m ok with my body but my stomach in keep getting fatter and fatter please Help!!!!!!!!!!

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, whichwill lead to increase of weight, or muscle growunderneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet withoutexercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. Fordiet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no foodafter 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending onyour initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. Ifyou don t eat wheat then you don t eat all those sticky, fatty goeycakes, you don t eat junk food, and you don t eat biscuits. But yourdiet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have tocalculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is themost efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight alot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to targetyour problem areas for men and women. It s not necessarily to become abodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help youto target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

There is only one way to lose weight and that is to make sure you burn the calories that you eat.You are taking exercise, and that is good. If you can manage more then that is better.Make a detailed diary over a week of everything, but everything, that you eat. Then you need to look at the list and decide where you can cut down. The best things (and the hardest) to reduce are snack foods out of a packet, crisps, all those things in noisy, plastic, brightly coloured bags. Ditch them, they are just empty calories that add fat to your body. Also think about eating or drinking a little less of sweet, sugary foods and sweet drinks, or at least drink lite versions. If you must fill in between meals try eating some fruit or vegetables, apples, pears, celery, carrots - good crunchy raw stuff. Don t expect to get thin overnight, there is a saying that it takes 100 times longer to get it off than put it on. Weigh yourself once a week and keep a written record. Finally, forget those acai berries, there is a scam on every corner. Here are some reliable sites to read.http://www.nhs.uk/LiveWell/loseweight/Pahttp://www.netdoctor.co.uk/health_advicehttp://www.medicine.ox.ac.uk/bandolier/bAnd forget the rinse outs another scam! Good luck!

cut down or totally stop eating junk food, eat lots of healthy meals that include veggies or lean meat. Cut down on sugary snacks and aim for 3 meals a day, cut down on portion sizes too. I know it seems like you re having to give up a lot, but it s for the best. You dont want to have weight related problems in later life do you? What you eat now will catch up with you in later life, i ve paid the price for that. I used to eat anything i wanted when i was younger and still stayed nice and slim. Now that i m older, i ve put lots of weight on regardless of how much i exercise or watch what i eat.I m constantly on a diet.

same way everyone else loses weighteat less and healthier, best bet for exercise is to go jogging after school
