Weight loss tips? Serious answers please.? -

I would like to lose weight quickly. How can I do so? I don t like exercising much, but I plan to exercise a little. Any tips?

Honest answer is if you really want to lose weigh quickly you will need more than a little exercise. You should do exercise 4-5 days for around 30 minutes a day. Drink lots of cold water and eat healthy...avoiding carbs and fried, fatty foods. In general reduce your portions for every meal, and stop drinking sodas (diet or otherwise).Other things that can help are simple things like parking further out so you do more walking in day to day situations. Taking stairs instead of elevators or escalators. Finding more active options like playing physical games instead of watching tv.If you talk on the phone, walk around while you talk, if you listen to music, dance, etc. The more ways you can find to be active and stay active the faster you will burn calories and thus lose weight.

There s an easy formula...eat healthy food in reasonable proportions. Exercise more. This IS a serious answer because this is what causes you to lose weight. As long as you re eating junk food and not exercising, no weight will come off and you ll probably gain more. Any quick fixes don t last long.

basically eat a well balanced diet, have no more than 2000 calories.and EXECISE! lots of it

If you cut down 500 calories a day you will lose a pound a week. Cut out all sugary drinks Juice, cola, etc. You can have as many fruits and veggies as you want, a few oz. of lean meat, cut down on carbs and fat ...Drink at least 9 glasses of water a day. go for walks, run up and down stairs, and my FAVORITE do exercises during commercial breaks like leg lifts, crunches, etc. GOOD LUCK!

Any Workout/Weight Loss Tips? -

I m 23 and weighs 212 pounds and am 5 3.. I ve been trying to lose weight for a while and haven t found a routine/diet that I ve been able to stick to.I play floor hockey once a week for 2 hours and have started up indoor soccer again which is one game a week for an hour. Is there any workout routines what people know of that is fun and has results. I ve heard that doing circuit training can actually be better that cardio because muscle burns fat. I have weight I want to lose in my legs, boobs and stomach. I can live with my *** and arms(although to improve them would be great). Also is there any diets/healthy eating plans that people know of that work and also and good workout music? (Not asking for too much..lol)Any feedback would be appreciated.

You need to do cardio period. Also you need to eat healthy. I would cut out all sugars and anything made with flour from my diet. You should also check out fitday.com it is free to join and you will do great. All you have to do is put in your goals and it will help you to reach them. Good Luck! One step at a time I love this cardio workout on youtube.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GP-ADSVstRemember it has 5 parts and if I were you I would do this daily!

Most people don t realize how much waste can be trapped inside our bodies. Experts estimate that most people have 10-15 of waste trapped to the inside of their colon walls. Imagine how unhealthy this is with all these toxins sitting inside us. Oprah had a guest on her show that talked about how we need to make sure that we clean our bodies of this rubbish.

haha well your off to a good start. I am a gymnast and work out about 3 and a half hours a night during the week excluding mondays and tuesdays. You probably dont have that kind of schedule. so i would recommend to do some workouts at home also. Not only do you have to workout though but you should watch your diet. As workout you should do as many crunches as you can do before you cant do them anymore...and i mean you need to push yourself. Then do the same amount of these for a week or soo. Then the next week ONLY GO UP MABY FIVE OR SO and keep following this schedule until you can escalate. Also do this with some v up pushups and candlestick jumps (all which require no machine). As for food dont go to mc donalds or fast food places. and dont eat tons of pasta either...balance you diet so that is has vegies meat and other good stuff. Just dont have a lot of dessert. its ok once in a while but not often. Also listen to music that envigorates you and gets you motivated to work hard. And dont expect result immediately, it will take a while to lose weight. But make sure you balance your workouts so your not fat in one part of the body and skinny in another. :D good luck! ps continue doing the sports you are already doing and do the exercies at home REGULARLY

I highly recommend you my weight loss program. It works just amazing and easy. If you are serious about losing weight. You should have a look weight loss correct program. It will work for you if you do it correct. I lost 18 pounds in 8 weeks with this program. You can get more info from link below.

Does anyone know any good weight loss tips? (easy 10 points)? -

I know that a balanced diet is required, but what foods are those exactly?? And how many of each food should I have per day?? What are good meals to eat?? Also, how long should I spend working out?? Since I don t have any gym equipment, what can I do at home that will help?? Thanks in advance to anyone who answers. XOXO

First..I am sorry some people have no manners like your first responder..second, try looking at Fitness Magazine.com..they are fantastic with great advice...I like the low carb diet for me, worked great and good food and I am never hungry. You don t need weights, you can use all kinds of household items like chairs for stepping and balance workouts, milk jugs for weights, etcgood luck hon!

Okay, you should actually eat many times a day (6-5) but in small portions. If your body recognizes that you are putting in a constant flow of food is will turn the food into energy as opposed to fat (like after a diet when). But the food portions should take up as much volume as your fist (breakfast excluded just not to much). You should avoid any foods and drinks that have trans fats, high fructose corn syrup (regular corn syrup is okay), hydrogenated and partially hydrogenated oils, and modified corn starch ( regular corn starch is okay). Always use olive oil when cooking even when greasing a pan. Have one egg every five days and chicken twice a weak but you need protein everyday. Also make shure you buy all organic foods. As for working out you can do 20 minutes of work out a day and if you like to stay indoors do push ups and crunches but the best is to go for a nice jog outside for 20-30 minutes.

Although I know this isn t simple, it is a simple equation. In order to lose 1 pound you have to have a deficit of 3600 calories. So basically you need to find our your Basal Metabolic Rate (BMR), that is the number of calories that your body needs to function. THen you need to figure out how many calories that you burn with exercise (based on Your body weight) and how many calories you are eating. The easy part is figuring out how many calories you need and how much exercise you need to create the deficit. The hard part is doing it.Now for specifics of what to eat, here is a sample menu:1 egg, slice of high fiber bread, fruitfruitsalad, low fat dressing, chicken or tunanon fat greek yogurtsalmon, brown rice, asparagusstrawberries non fat cool whipand lots of water!!!

Easy ones are cutting carbs (pasta, breads, rice, starches like potatoes, etc.) and increasing the amount of fluids you drink, especially water!Check out the links below for balanced diet tips.As far as working out at home, I suggest checking out some of the workouts on Women s Health (also in the links below) they have some great workout tips including what you can do at home. Personally I love to use my balance ball (those big rubber balls that kind of bounce) while watching tv, reading, etc to get my abs and core worked out.Good luck!

Fresh fruit, veggies and such. No processed foods-like from the deli even though it s turkey. Low fat or no fat, things like that. You should work out 30 minutes a day and you don t need any equipment. Use your own body as resistance such as in pushups, crunches, etc. Also, try the tv. Lots of cable companies have an exercise tv channel with everything from beginner to abs, dancing, cardio, and all that.

You need to eat foods that contain a lot of fiber. This makes you feel full, and satisfies cravings. Foods with fiber are things like oatmeal, nuts, vegetables, whole grains breads and rice and such. Stay away from sugar (especially in liquid form). Also, watch when you eat. Try to not eat anything for the three hours (at least) before you go to sleep. Drink lots of water and milk. Excercise is good, but don t think it gives you the permission to eat whatever and whenever you want.

don t go on a diet, that s mostly non-efficient.,eat light breakfast every day - cereal/fruit/yogurt and an apple or orange before lunch. have a nice lunch but don t eat too much, just enough. and don t eat after 8, that s the most important thing.

Actually, you don t have to diet in fact in order to lose weight, I discovered this at the site in the box below, they have loads of instruction, I lost 5 pounds by doing as they advised.

When you want to lose weight try out the newest diet supplement, it cleanses your insides and will flush out as much as twenty pounds from your torso. There s a risk free trial offered at http://pubelecs.kadieu.com it s much better than dieting lol!!!

Help with weight/diet ? -

Hello well i am 14 and i weigh 7 stone 11 which i think quite a lot and i want to do something about it. I have always been naturally slim so i didn t need to worry about what i ate but recently i have noticed that my legs are getting quite chunky towards the top and i don t fit into some of my old clothes anymore. I m really starting to worry so does anyone have any really good health/diet/weight loss tips?Thankyou any help is much appreciated x

Erm... firstly, Please ignore that link which has just been posted!!!You don t say how tall you are which makes all the difference to your whether you weigh more than you should, but from the sounds of it I cant imagine that you have anything to worry about! You are still growing, so wont fit your clothes forever!!! (sad I know when you have favourites!!)As you get older you will become more curvy, so what you see as chunky surely isn t! All women are wider at their hips!It sounds like, at your age and weight, you really don t need to be dieting. When I was about that age I was so scared that I was getting too big and got so preoccupied with it I found myself obsessing over it and wound up very upset. I wasted so much time on this I missed out on so much! The best advice I can offer is that you should spend more time doing stuff . Walking is an excellent exercise and will make you feel better. even if its only walking with your friends round the shops!!! Or join a sports team, or do some volunteer work that involves being out and about, like tidying up a local park!!!Anyways.. I hope this helps. Please don t worry about you weight as your sound ABSOLUTELY FINE!!!=^..^=

You d have to be really short for 7 stone 11 pounds to be too much. You re just experiencing natural bodily changes for your age. Wait until you re older or genuinely overweight to start dieting. As for exercise that s always a good idea regardless of your weight.

Concentrate on your fitness and exercise and weight will take care of itself. Ask yourself few questions. Are you exercising properly? Are you overeating? Are you stressed? Are you taking enough sleep? Here are some generic tips to lose weight.http://loose-weight.onlineyogaspace.com

Drink only water. Eliminate soda or drink diet. Lighten up as much as poss on desserts and fried foods/junk food. and.. GO POWER WALKING FOR 20 MINS EVERY DAY! bring a friend or your dog on a leash if you have one for company!Cutting out SODA and WALKING everyday will dramatically make you thinner/leaner.

Your weight is perfectly normal for your age. The top of your thighs will be chunky due to changes in the body during puberty. Just eat a balanced diet, and exercise for at least 1 hour per day. Don t worry. :)x

if ur legs are getting chunky at the top THATS SEXy haha no homo thogh

Weight loss tips to get in the groove of things.? -

I m 22 years old and looking to loose about 30 lbs within the next few months, give or take. Not looking to rush it, but really trying to get myself into gear. What my asking is, there a way to enjoy cardio work outs? Any good ones that arn t to expensive? I can t exactly afford the gym at the moment, but will in due time. But if anyone could suggest anything I would be greatful.

1 Dietary Balance and reading labels: watch what you eat, and expend more energy than you consume. Its really that simple. This involves some calculation. The approximate normal daily caloric requirement for an average male who performs light activity is 2,200; for a female, it is 1,900.Do the math. Eat less and eat at least five meals a day. Your actual caloric requirement can differ depending on your height, weight, activity level and your body s metabolic rate.http://knowdiet.blogspot.com/2 Identify your exercise. No exercise was created equal. You might like running, so run. You might like jogging, so jog. You might like stationary bikes, so bike stationary. Find the one that works best for you. Dont pick a routine that you dont like and wont stick with it for long. http://knowexercise.blogspot.com/3 Try yoga. Yoga is one of the best ways of losing weight. Of course I cant go into a full lecture about yoga over here but I can tell you that I have never seen people with better-toned bodies than those who practice yoga. One of the benefits of yoga is that you learn to control virtually every muscle and joint of your body so that the issue of weight gain will cease to exist.http://knowingyoga.blogspot.com/4 Photos and Joining online support group : Take before and after photos. Theres no easier way to illustrate your progress. Its essential that you not feel alone, and reaching out to friends helps as they know things that you couldnt possibly know, and theyve probably been in your shoes at some point in the past (or present). Thirst is an amazing sensation C quench it. If youre not hydrated, your body wont be working at peak levels. do you have time warner cable? if you do, email me and i ll show you this really cool thing that i ve been doing (I PROMISE THIS ISN T AN AD lol there s loadssss of free workouts on there that i ve discovered) but if you don t then i m not gonna bother typing the whole thing out. anyway, it s mainly cutting out most sugar, carbs, and drinking nothing but water and organic fat free milk, EXERCISING at least 40 minutes a day (all types, stregth, cardio...)good luck! :) don t let yourself slack off too. don t say, oh well i don t have a gym, so i can t work out. that s NOT true. you can easily do sets of knee highs, jog around the block a couple times, do crunches and pushups at home...

Please give me some fast effective weight loss tips...? -

friends i want to loose 3 to 5 kg s of weight in just 2 weeks ..is it possible to loose weight in 2 weeks without any health hazards....give me some fast weight loss tips that will last long....kindly; help me out..

aside from the obvious eating right, and exercise, you have to know what that is to do it.whole grains (pasta, cereal, bread) i eat shredded wheat n bran with non fat milk, its the healthiest breakfast option i have found. whole grain pasta is good with newmans own marinara sauce, it tastes good and is healthy.fruits (plums, mango, kiwi, apples, grapes) make it fun and get new fruit that tastes good.veggies (avocado, tomato) pack these on a sandwich (no cheese it has refined carbs and a lot of saturated fat). i get cans of veggies so if i am feeling like eating something bad i open up the can of veggies and eat it real quick and i just ate something good instead of something bad and im not hungry anymore. lean meats and fish (chicken, turkey, salmon, tuna) not fried, no skin.dairy (nonfat milk, nonfat cottage cheese) dairy can be tricky because if you re not careful you can consume a lot of saturated fats. eggs for example contain a lot of saturated fats and cholesterol in the yolk. i will just cook the white part and make a sandwich out of it.you are supposed to get 32g of dietary fiber a day and along with protein is essential for weight loss. on like a box of shredded wheat n bran it will say there is 8g per serving, look above that where it says servings per container for example if it said 2, there would be 16g in the whole box (theres more im just making an example). also look for low sugars, unless it is fruit you probably don t want foods high in sugar. be careful of too much sodium as well. and most of off saturated fats. some fats are good and healthy, monosaturated fats, and polyunsaturated fats are good for you, however like anything else you dont want to overdo it.also exercise and drink 64oz of water a day, is the recommended intake of an active person. make exercise fun, go swimming, skateboarding, play basketball, go to the gym. resistance training (weight lifting is the best for losing weight) because for every pound of muscle you gain that pound of muscle eats 50 more calories a day just to stay alive, without doing anything.i personally eat extremely healthy 5 days a week and on the weekends i do whatever i want, and i exercise 4-5 days a week. some people choose to eat sparingly bad throughout the week but mostly good while exercising. whatever works for you.im majoring in nutrition so if you have any more questions please e mail me.

Here you go: This is from my own experience and what has worked for me. I have laid it all out for you so that others may have the success I have. The perfect way to loose weight and monitor your progress is to use a calorie counter on a daily basis while you diet.Energy In/Energy OutFood Intake: 1,200 Per DayOne Pound equals 3,500 CaloriesTo loose one pound per day, You need to burn your food intake plus your one pound of fat1,200 (intake) + 3,500 (Outtake) = 4,700 Calories BurnYou must burn at least 4,700 Calories everyday to loose one pound at least. It is very easy to go up and beyond 4,700 calories each day.Best way to do this is to track your progress on a calorie counter monitor watch. If you do it by the numbers you can loose the weight. It is just a matter of changing the way you think about weight loss.Once you start wearing your calorie counter you can see the numbers increase and you fill find yourself doing extra things in your day, like tapping your foot while waiting at the light in your car, chewing gum, singing out loud and so on onto of your workout routines. You begin to see that everything you do in your day contributes to the overall numbers needed to loose that pound.Water Intake/Less StorageMost people do not get enough water in their system. Water is your body s principal chemical component, comprising, on average, 60 to 80 percent of your weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don t have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. To determine if you are getting enough water use this simple formula.. Take your weight, for example 150 pounds and divide by 2. Take your answer which is 75 lbs and change it to ounces, in this case 75 ounces. That is how many ounces of water you need a day. Your body performs mostly on water. If you make sure you get enough water everyday your body will perform at top notch and your body will no longer have the cravings of junk food. You will have a better performing body system to help you work out and feel better thru out your day.Good FoodMy favorite things to eat:Avocado WrapsSimple: Low Carb Tortilla, Half Avocado sliced, alpha sprouts, lettuce, soy bacon...Just wrap it up and eat. You can vary the things you put inside so long as you keep it to approx 4 or 5 items. You want to make sure they are fresh, low calorie and filling. Avocado and mushrooms can replace meats in your meal and still have great taste.Special K Cereals are fantastic. They have that sweetness that one craves and is so good for you. Calories are low. Great for even just dinner.First thing in the morning...A Glass of Chocolate Milk. Yup!! Chocolate Milk. We all crave that got to have item in the morning. Milk is the best thing you can have for yourself while working out. The chocolate (and you can use Carnation Instant Milk for this but I simply use Nestle dry mix) will give you that sweet snack that you need. If you give your body a little bit of it and its in a control way, you will not crave sweets and junk the rest of the day.Lean CuisinesFantastic food! Each meal is approx 180 t0 380 calories per box. So think about your calories. 1,200...You can still have several of these meals a day and still be under your intake requirements. Its all about the numbers and watching what you take in and what you burn out. And you know what..If you go over your 1,200 mark for food intake...thats okay...you simple up your total calories burned for the day by what you took it. So long as you burn off the over all calories to be more than your food intake. Just make sure you stick too it so you can reach your weight loss goals.Fruits and VeggiesAll you want on the schedule listed below. Bananas are my favorite. They are very filling and can make a meal all on their own.____VitaminsMy favorite is ONE A DAY WITH ENERGY...I am in love with this vitamin because I am just like everyone else who loves those quick fix energy drinks. But what people do not realize is that energy drinks can contain 120 to 440 calories in just ONE Can. If you think about it..That is HALF of your allowed calories for food intake. The best alternative I have found is One a day with energy vitamin. Easy to spot, it is packaged in a green label bottle. Just One vitamin a day will give you as much energy as approx. 1 1/2 cans of red bull...WITHOUT the calorie intake. WoW..now your making progress already because you have made more room in your intake calories for actual healthy food._____Soda/CarbonationCarbonation is terrible for your system because it bloats your stomach. And when your stomach bloats, your jeans just don t fit. You can drop one pant size simply by NOT drinking any carbonated drinks all together..Take away the bloat and you have instantly just made it one pant size lower. Besides, Sodas dehydrate you and with that One a Day Vitamin, you won t need the Caffeine in the soda and it will also cut out those extra calories that you don t need.So remove that soda and the energy drinks and just think how much calories you just instantly removed from your daily intake. I normally consume what...four sodas and two energy drinks in one day...that is a total of .... 900 calories. Of what??? Nothing...Those are horrible calories and calories that can be replaced by food which will fuel your body for your day and your workouts.____Your BodyYour body is like a computer. You must program your body to do what it is suppose to do so it won t crash and leave you with a virus. Your stomach is only the size of your fist. So think about it right now, Look at your hand and close your fist. Not very big is it. That is how much food you actually ONLY need to eat, each time you eat for every meal. If you eat anything more than that, you will stretch out your stomach which causes overeating and overweight. What you need to do is eat every three hours, approx 5 to 7 times everyday around the same time. If you are always giving your body healthy and better food choices (the size of your fist) every three hours, your body will know you are giving it food. It will use that food properly. It will not go into starvation mode or store food away for later because it knows...it will get more in three hours. So what does your body do...it flushes everything out of your system because it doesn t need it.. Now it knows...you wont forget about it and that food is on its way.____Walking BuddyThis is the best thing especially for woman. Get a walking buddy. One hour everyday. Just think about how much talking, venting and laughing two woman can do together while walking and yup, you guessed it...it just burns more calories and reduces your stress. You now are more relaxed because you can talk and free yourself of whatever is frustrating you while getting into shape.:By: My own experience/rivasj27

it s not healthy losing 5 kgs a week , ur max must be 1.5-2 kgs a week , u can excercise more and eat less , thats the best advice i can give , excercise each day for about 1/2 hour and during like instead of taking the elivator take the stairs and such , and eat less, dont eat 3 hours b4 u go to bed , Good luck

walk, walk, walk....

You can definitely lose 3-5kg in 2 weeks without major health hazards. The problem with speedy weight loss though is that you ll probably put it all back on pretty quickly.Start moving straight away. Put on your sneakers and go power walking every day. Find some hills if you can (don t overdo it to start with though, otherwise you ll be sore and/or injured). Pump your arms and get puffed out.Cut any extra sugar out of your diet, and any refined carbs. So no sweets, biscuits, sugar in coffee, white bread, white rice or white pasta... etc etc.Include protein with every meal to fill you up - tuna in springwater and lean chicken breasts are good choices.Reduce your fat intake, so cut out butter, cheese full fat dairy. Go for fat-free yoghurt instead.Watch your portion sizes - it s better to eat small meals 5-6 times a day.Drink heaps heaps of water, and if you feel the urge to snack, eat raw veggies like carrots, celery, snow peas. Instead of drinking juice, eat the fruit.DON T starve yourself, because you re likely to snap and eat a mountain of chocolate. SOmething really important to remember is that if you lose weight by starving yourself not exercising, you will lose muscle as well as fat. When you gain the weight back, you gain fat, but not the muscle you lost. So even though you might be back at your starting weight, you re actually FATTER than you were before. So keeping your muscle mass is very important - muscle gives you a faster metabolism, which means your body will burn more calories, even at rest.Good luck, but please keep in mind that the healthiest way to permanent weight loss is by doing it slowly, and making changes to your lifestyle which you can keep up for the rest of your life xx

Questions about healthy living? -

I am trying to lose wieght and know that crash dieting isn t for me nor does it actually work. I am 160 and 5 5, female. My ideal wieght is 130. I have been watching my calorie intake and am slowly adding in an exercise regimine, but I want to know if there is anything else I can do? I keep reading all types of online weight loss tips and books, but they all seem to have conflicting suggestions. I am also taking Hoodia, which does help me not feel hungry all the time (and I am taking the minium dosage) Can someone suggest to me certain exercises I can do at home or in the car( I do lot of driving)? Is there foods, other than celery, that has no fat and very little calories that I can eat? ( I hate celery) Should I detox? I have lowered my calorie intake to 1500 or less, but should I go lower? I would really appreciate some guidance.

Sounds like you have the basic building blocks of a healthy diet. Congratulations! Many people never get that far.I started a program last year, and I have been in maintenance mode for 8 months so far. You are doing the right thing by starting slowly. You might want to tweak what you are eating to make sure that you are getting all the nutrition you are supposed to get. Are you getting 5-8 servings of fruit and vegetables a day? Are you getting 25g of fiber a day (that REALLY helps with feeling full)? Detox doesn t sound necessary, and if you are eating enough fiber and drinking 8 glasses of water a day - that will... er... get you regular and take out anything that s been sticking around too long. Water will also help you feel full.If you are reading weightloss books, start taking notes. If you read something that really makes sense to you, write it down on a notecard. Then, stop obsessing over it. It sounds like your current calorie intake is fine if you are consistently exercising. If you go too low, you are in danger of hitting starvation mode. For food, I love broccoli - I keep the frozen stuff with low-fat cheese sauce in my freezer for snacking. I have no-sugar added applesauce cups at work (50 calories a serving), along with mini whole wheat bagels (120 calories and high in fiber). A turkey sandwich on Low-cal, High fiber bread is 130 calories. The fruit bowl in the house is always stocked, and I just can t seem to buy enough bananas. As for exercise, I have a jogging trampoline in front of the TV - it s not the same as going for a run, but it still gets me moving instead of lying on the couch.Good luck!

You need calories. Eat six meals a day (small ones). Breakstone s Cottage Cheese Doubles are a great example of what I mean by meal . They are about 150 calories (maybe less). Peanut butter and apples with a glass of skim milk is a great one too. Eat things that are not too filling, and try not to go more than 3 hours at a time without eating. Half a bagel is one serving (it s great with fruit spread- especially sour cherry). Try lowfat yogurt with a banana too. For main meals, low fat canned soups are good (just watch the sodium), and Boca lasagna isn t half bad either.Exercise suggestion: Walk! Walk a lot. Eventually, you may be inspired to run, you never know. Denise Austin s Fat Blasting Yoga is my favorite. I do it three times a week and I run 5 miles three times a week. Good luck!

sounds like you basically know what you are doing. it s great you realize the way to lose weight is not by crash dieting. the healthy way will allow you to get it off and keep it off! don t drive yourself crazy reading all the stuff online about weight loss. it s basically calories in versus calories burned. that s it. you can eat normal foods. i suggest wegiht watchers. it s a very easy way to keep track of what you eat and they have wonderful recipes! as for low calorie snacks..i don t blame you. celery is gross!it s okay to have a few calories and some fat. i like:low fat string cheeseany fruita few nuts (high in fat..but the good kind)fat free yogurtpiece of lunch meatbrocolli and hummuscarrotsjust keep up the eating healthy! you prob need around 1200 calories a day. keep adding to your cardio and you will lose weight in no time!good luck

What is the ideal weight for a 56, 17-year-old girl? -

I m looking to achieve my ideal weight, but I m not sure what that is. I m 5 6 and 17 years old, and right now I weigh 141 pounds. What do you guys think is the ideal weight for someone my height/age? Weight loss tips would be appreciated, too. Thanks!

I betcha you are beautiful the way you are. I personally think this world is putting too much emphasis on this weight thing. Unless you are clearly overweight, then don t start on the crash diet downfall . Take care.A concerned mother!

you are very welcome!. Report Abuse

Your BMI (body mass index) places you in the 52nd percentile, and since 50 is average, you are about average now, but today the average American is a little over weight. So, your ideal healthy weight should be 127lbs, based on your height, weight, and age.Hope this answers your question

Your height and weight are near the 75th percentile, giving you a body mass index of 22.75, which is also near the 75th percentile for your age. So you are normal by statistical standards. The 50th percentile BMI for your age is 21. To achieve that you would need to weigh 130 lbs.

120 to 130

118 - 148 is a healthy weight155 - 179 is overweight186 - 235 is obeseI think 133 would be a very ideal weight, so you only have 8 pounds to lose, good luck!!

You are a perfect weight for your height. You should really be looking at your BMI. it should be under 25 and 141 pounds is very good. You dont wanna be to skinny.

Check your BMI body mass index. It s (your weight in kg) , divided by your height (in metre) square.say -for example- your weight is 50kg and your height is 1.5mthen bmi =50/ (1.5 x 1.5)if the result is below 18.5 you re underweight, 18.6 -23 you re ideal, 23 its getting overweight. the BMI is an accurate indicator as it differs from everyone, according to their height. In terms of weight loss, it all boils down to wise diet choices like low-calorie and low-fat food plus exercises, there s no other way to be honest.

What are you doing to make you a better person inside?Image is only important to people who refuse to see you first.

im 5 6 and weigh 153 pounds. thats a liitle overwieght but your weight is perfect

I am 5 6 also. Although you are in our appropriate body range, I think that I look best in the 120-129 range. Anything over that and the cellulite starts to show and the muffin tops start blooming. Keep it under control now while you are young otherwise, it will just get worse as time goes on and the children come! Burn more calories than you consume. That is the key. Good luck!

probably around 120-130

you aren t too far off girl =135 to140 is the ideal by the height chart

125-130

I heard about a rule of thumb- 100 pounds for the first 5 feet of height, then an additional 5 pounds per inch above 5 feet... which would put you at about 130... but I still think that s a little on the thin side.I m 5 3 and 130, size 8, and looking good!!... So I d say that at 5 6, 141, and especially where you re only 17, I d bet you look pretty dang good, too!Remember, women need a little fat and cushion, otherwise we look like Calista Flockhart... raisins-on-a-pine-board is not the sexiest look.

i m 5 6.5 and i weigh 130 and everyone says that s the perfect weight. but i think even 135 would be good, so i think you only need to lose about 6 pounds if you really want to. if you don t want to, you e fine. anyway, before you eat, drink a glass of water to fill you up so you eat less, and don t keep any fatty foods in the house, although you should give in to cravings about once a week, and walk as much as possible instead of driving or something.

Weight loss for a disabled person.? -

HelloI am a 23 year old women and am disabled. I have a lot of difficulty moving the lower half of my body and as a result I have put on weight. I eat healthy, and drink only water and fruit juice. Can anyone give me some weight loss tips, exercise is very difficult when movement is restricted. Thank you!!

I think this is a great question. As a few others have suggested, I would consult with your doctor, attend support groups or exercise groups for people with disabilities and retain the services of a fitness professional who has expertise in disabilities. I know that some hospitals and rehabilitation centers have programs for individuals with disabilities, including recreational and exercise activities. In addition, I googled exercise for people with disabilities and found several sites... here are just a few. www.ncpad.orgwww.highbeam.com (a search for articles on this topic)www.thefreelibrary.com (a yoga-based program)Good luck!!! I d actually be interested in more details or an update, if you want to share.

hello, im an amputee, and live in a wheely chair... so i know what you mean... we cant exactly get up and run a marathon..eat one maybe... but lack of exercise isnt a deadly contributing factor... providing you eat properly... 1 cook your own food, from ingredients2 DONT buy weighwatchers products, they cost the earth and taste like wet cardboard, and youll NOT loose weight, just money. send me an address, and ill send you a few dozen recipies, which are easy to cook, cost next to nothing, and contain ONLY healthy ingredients...

I d suggest investing in hiring a trainer who is certified in physical rehab. It s hard to give you an answer because we don t know what the exact nature of your your disability is. There are no easy answer here. We need more info!

Are there any better ways to lose weight that this? -

http://www.healthmad.com/Weight-Loss/Tip

Your site looks sensible.Don t click on that iffy donurs site.Classed as high risk.

I did not read the whole thing but I understood what it is trying to say. Id say that all this is true but if you are struggling with weight, this will not cause a drastic weightloss. This is more of a maintenance plan than a weight loss plan. Weight loss needs a healthy diet approximately 80% of your daily caloric need and intense cardio workout.

I used everything to lose weight, and nothing worked until I used acai berry. I understand they say that pills won t work, but they certainly worked for me, and they ve been showcased on the Rachael Ray Show too. There s a free trial going on at the moment at http://donurs.yatardirek.com , try it out, what have you got to lose?

Weight loss tips for a 15 year old male? -

need to lose about 40-50lbs

Exercise more than you eat. Start with exercises you can handle first, and then move up to the more difficult exercises. Make SURE you stay active everyday, or the food you eat will continue to add pounds of fat to your body. Don t give up, you can do it man!

Do NOT diet! No good!!! You need to have a balanced diet.1. Write down what your eating for a whole week. This will give you a very good blueprint of your current diet.2. Cut your takeaway food/SODA to once a week.3. Eat smaller meals during the day (4-5 meals), which should be small servings. This will help with your metabolism.4. Start exercising, walk 3 times a week or ride a bike or swim. 5. Eat more grilled, baked foods. CUT out deep fried foods.Good Luck.

http://www.absdiet.comYou ll build muscle and get to a healthy weight appropriate for your size. The book is from the editors of Men s Health magazine.

diet be healther cut junk food

Drink lots of water. Avoid diet sodas because the artificial sweetener will spike your insulin the same as sugar. When you re a little hungry at night after dinner, do not eat, just be hungry until breakfast. Eat good meals and do have a little fat in your diet - that makes you feel full and keeps you on your diet. No snacks.

damn! thats alot. dude im 15, weigh 138 pounds. i do 20 crunches every other morning, along with 15 push ups, and 5 pull-ups. eat smaller portions. i stopped drinking soda cu it didnt feel right. im not asking you to do any of this. this is to make you feel better inside, as make you more attractive on the out

I ve only recently starting to push for weight loss, and it helps alot if you make some of it fun. What i mean is, well actually, just that, have fun haha.I make sure to play DDR every day or every other day (dance dance revolution). Most games come with a work out mode, and I just let it count to five hundred calories and then im done. I personally love DDR, and it gives me a few minutes of good excercise with some music and fun. Then after that, I just make sure I eat right ( I try... lol, anyway ), and if the weathers nice, I go for a walk. That s gonna give you mild weight loss if you try. TO get the big fourty or fifty, you just gotta start small and then get bigger, with more hardcore exercises like the kid up above. But just make sure you enjoy atleast part of what you re dong. THat s important!

Here s a few personal tips. If you maintain the daily caloric intake and adhere to a regular exercise program (at least 5 times per week...it doesn t have to be the same thing everyday), you should lose between 2 and 3 pounds per week. Losing any more than this is very unhealthy.Try to keep your diet between 1250 and 1400 calories a day. Write down the number of calories of everything that goes into your mouth (that has calories) Keep a daily log. You may come up with more or learn some in the futures, but for the time being here are a few food tips: Use Light bread instead of regular bread. Light bread is only 40 calories per slice and regular bread is 80 calories per slice. Instead of using sugars, use Splenda--it taste just as good except it has ZERO calories. Exchange regular soda pops for diet ones. For snacks try sugar free popsicles, pickles (if you can handle the sodium) sugar free jello, sugar free pudding, and fruit (watch the fruit intake...even though it s healthy they still have CALORIES)NEVER let yourself get too hungryNEVER leave the house hungryNEVER go grocery shopping while hungryIf you allow yourself to get too hungry, you usually make unwise choices in food. Same thing goes if you go grocery shopping while being hungry. If you leave the house hungry, you can be easily tempted to grab something like at a fast food restaurant such as a McDonald s Big Mac, order of fries, regular coke and an apple pie, which is more than 1500 calories in one whop! (that s more than your 1200-1400 calorie limit)EXERCISE: Such as: 1. Going for 45-minute walks. (brisk walks where you re swinging your arms as you walk)2. Swimming (30 minutes)3. Dancing for about 30 CONSECUTIVE minutes (twice a day) to fast music (play the music and dance in the privacy of your own bedroom)4. Bicycle riding (45 minutes or more)5. Jumping rope (30 minutes)Check out the website below for more helpful tips.Good luck!!

Eat vegetables. Drink 1-2 bottles of water a day. Make sure you excersice. Try to eat low fat foods or fat free. Dont eat alot of white bread.

ditch the greasy fast foods and eat more healthy foods. i hate eating vegetables so i eat alot of fruit and cereal. i also got involved in martial arts classes. watch less tv and play your favorite sport. be competative to work more and lose fat faster.

Healthy eating and regular exercise.I know you have heard it 1000 times, now try it!

will try to go on a healthy diet. Dont starve yourself but like try something that you could stick with. That way your become skiny in no time. If you dont need to lose weight than dont because just bc people say you do dont mean there always right so dont try this if you are to skiny already

Weight loss tips for teenager, to burn off remainder of fat.? -

Hello,I m a 14 year old currently weighing at 138 lbs at 5 10 .I used to be greatly overweight before, but now I am not anymore due to losing weight. I noticed I still have some fat areas in my body, like left over on my abdomen, and my buttocks area. I noticed with exercise, which I do 60 minutes everyday on treadmill, a healthy diet would work. I would like to burn it off, and I m needing assistance in looking for a low fat diet, for at around 1,400 to 1,550 calories. Please help?

First of all, you are so lucky to be that weight and height at your age.I am 5 4, 17. D:I would suggest cutting down the soda, or switching to diet. Fruits and veggies are a god-send. Fill up on salads with low cal dressings before you eat dinner, and eat something healthy for breakfast (Home made oatmeal with berries and honey?)Start walking up and down stairs often, it helps slim your butt.If you want a snack get something like apples or berries. Cranberries are good for getting the toxins out of the body, as are blueberries.

Ok.i need some serious weight loss tips? -

like i wanna keep my butt and my thighs but i wannna lose some weight in the stomach area can anyone help me?please!

do about 500 crunches every other day and have some whey protien after that to turn it into muscle. =] seriously it works!

I have lost 40 lbs. in 3 months and I know this will work. Eat small healthy meals every 2-3 hours, eat your last meal 2-3 hours before you go to sleep. Do not starve yourself or your body will go into survival mode where anything you eat will be turned into FAT. This will help you a lot but if you want more results you can exercise 3-4 days a week, include weight training and especially cardio (walking especially running). If you set your mind to lose the weight you will lose it and when you start seeing how good you look you ll want to keep going.Good Luck

Most people when they think they are hungry, they are actually thirsty. So when you are hungry, drink a cup of water and wait a half an hour and if you are still hungry, eat moderate meal.

Exercises: Run, do some bleacher drills, tread mill, sit-ups, twisting crunches, or squats. I teach the girls weight lifting team and whoo! Great results!!Diet: For weight loss; less pasta and bread, more protein and spicy foods. Helped me lose 20 lbs my wrestling season with the exercise.

when you lose weight fat loss happens all over, you can t spot reduce but you can choose which parts you want to sculpt (strength train), but to make this simple yet complex the only way and I mean the ONLY way to lose weight is calories in vs calories burned.

to lose weight in only ur stomach area do CRUNCHES and SITUPS. also eat healthy, only fruits and vegetables and DONT drink soda.. you can get Abs in 2 weeks :) good luck!! the hardest part is actually putting this into action haha

About twice a year, I have to go on a simple diet that usually works for me within 2 weeks...I cut out all dairy products, and sweet drinks, like cokes, and tea. That s it!

OK.. here it goes... you can eat a little(here in the philippines there is sotanghon lite.. which is good for dieting)... then jogging outside.... exercise....

Cut out sweets, walk like 2-3 miles a day and limit your portion sizes
