What are your best weight loss tips? I have been working out amp; eating right for 2 months, with no loss...? -

For 2 months straight, I have eating approx. 1200-1400 calories per day (i should be able to eat approx 2000 calories and stay the same), now I am trying to make sure to get plenty of veggies/fruits included in my calories...and I have been working out atleast 4 times a week approx 35 minutes, mostly cardio but now i am starting to do light weights too. I lost 7 pounds in my first 2 weeks, since then, my weight has been going up and down...why the fluctuation? Why am I not losing weight with all of my hard-work? Any recommendations?

Yep, eat more!Your body is telling you that you are not giving it enough calories. You should always eat at least 1200 calories a day. So you are giving your body the bare minimum and it wants more. Increase to 1600 calories a day for 2 weeks and see if that helps your results.Lean protein, whole grains, fruits vegetables. Lots of water.

you know that muscle weighs more than fat, right?if you lose fat but build muscle, you re going to GAIN weight, even though you re getting in better shape.

Did the weight loss stop when you started lifting weights? If so then you re probably gaining muscle. Invest in a myotape (or other measuring tape) to take your measurements and keep a journal. Take it in the morning when you wake up every 2 weeks. Don t listen to the yoga lover, increasing lean muscle mass will help with fat loss, toned muscles won t. Do 20 minutes of cardio before lifting and look at doing compound exercises. You won t get musclebound (which is most women s fears) and the increase muscle mass will give you a higher metabolism.I also hope that you have figured out your calorie maintenance amount and not just going off the standard 2000 calorie diet, because that s not right. ESPECIALLY if you re overweight. Take a look at the links below and good luck, moving into a healthy lifestyle and losing weight is a HUGE accomplishment, and if it were easy it d take the pleasure of achieving the goal away.

Have you lost inches on your waist? Muscle weighs more than fat.Try eating small meals every 3 hours. Keep up your cardio and do more weight training. Muscles help speed up your metabolism.Good luck!

There is a product called Herbal life, it will help you to lose some weight. Why don t you try it.....I m using it right now....i think its working.

try something like pilates/yoga. This will tone you up and pull or tighten your muscles in. The weight lifting is just putting more muscle ON TOP of what you already have, its probably not tightening or doing any type of core strenghtening. Try doing something new, or increasing the time/difficulty of your workouts. You might just have grown acustom to the workout your doing. Dont stress out.

Try going on the Medifast Diet program - i ve been on it and have lost a lot of weight - it is easy and it works

It takes time, Run if you can.

Keep up with your regimen, but make sure that you absolutely do not eat 4 hours prior to going to bed. It works, trust me.

Weight loss? -

does anyone know any effective weight loss tips

same as allways eat healthy exercise...

This website in my sources contains daily recommended calorie intake and a basic healthy diet plan for you or anybody else looking to lose weight to follow. Also do regular exercises - running, skipping, crunches, sit-ups, press ups etc or even better - pick a sport that you are good at and lose that weight and make new friends to keep up your confidence and self esteem!Hope this helps,Good luck.

start out with your diet. take into consideration every bite you eat. a different and healthier diet may be enough for weight loss. plenty of exercise also helps

drop to 1300 calorie intake and eat healthy food drop all sugars and soda.

Find out what your BMR is - basal metabolic rate (the link is a calculator for you). That s how many calories your body would need if you stayed in bed all day. Try not to go over that amount, and try to walk for 30 minutes a day a few times a week (3-5). This is a very healthy way to lose weight that doesn t require you to buy anything. That being said, I am on Weight Watchers and I love it. It s easier to keep track of than calorie counting, and the online version is so much cheaper than the actual meetings!

Dont eat all the pies.

yes I do

eat excersie every sigle day

like what i ve said - eat cereals on dinner. It s the best way to shed off those pounds. Eat a perfect breakfast, a controlled amount on lunchtime (no fast-food munchies please), and just a bowl of cereal (preferably muesli with skim milk). It s a great help to lose weight. If you still feel the urge to eat, grab a carrotstick or an apple. Guaranteed.

Anyone got quick weight loss tips? -

Hiya.I am currently a size 12 (uk) and would like to become a size 8 or under. (:Has anyone got any tips or advice that would help me lose a bit of weight quickly ??(I d like to lose weight from my hips and the sides of my stomach)Thanks if you answered xx (:

As was said before, a size 8 isn t necessarily unhealthy, but I can promise you, you get a more crap from men. I work in a betting shop, and my cashiers are size 8. They get so much **** from the customers, that larger women don t get, they really feel uncomfortable at times...Try doing some weights exercise, it helped me lose a stone in 3 weeks, also some cycling, swimming, and stomach crunch exercises.

The problem with your question is that if you look in search for questions it comes up 30 times every day. I have had some criticism for repeatedly using the same answer, but since I am happy with my answer, and the questions are the same, I don t see the issue with recycling the same answer. In practise for problems that came up on a regular basis we tended to use patient leaflets to avoid having to repeat ourselves this seemed a sensible use of resources. What follows is thus in effect me information leaflet.Weight loss and fitness is always a long term commitment and never a quick fix. If you really want to reduce your weight a bit, this is a complex regime, that should help, I would get a pencil to write it down, in case you forget any of the intricate details.Currently only using the criteria lose weight there are 9,419 questions and answers on Answers already. Mis-spell it as loose weight and you get another 2,633! Weight loss will add another 1,883. Too fat 15,515 and overweight 2,692 and over weight 26,269!!!!!. Diet Pills gives 607, Green tea 482, Hoodia 195, pink patch 119, Xenical 91 Reductil 78, Slim fast 215 (and Slimfast 69 ), lipotrim 44 and orlistat 40 . Do you spot a pattern here? Weight loss tips??? for fast results ? -

anything!! I have a goal of 20 lbs. or so I want to drop b4 x-mas without a weird flush diet, puking or starving myself. [no offense to people that do this, it is just not 4 me]

1. DRINK LOTS OF WATER.Carry a gallon of water around with you with little goal markers written on it to incourage you to drink more,2. DO ANY TYPE OF CARDIO you like (running, speed walking, swimming, jump rope, eliptical, etc) EVERY day. Just try and keep your heart rate over... oh... about 130. 3. DONT STARVE YOURSELF! When your daily calorie intake drops too low, your body thinks its starving. It respondes by holding on to every little bit of fat it can get and not letting go.4. EAT 4-6 SMALL MEALS A DAY instead of 3 big ones. This, believe it or not, speeds up your metabolism.5. TAKE HYDROXYCUT HARDCORE, this raises your body temp very slightly and therefore increses your calorie burning.6. EAT NEGATIVE CALORIE FOODS. For some foods, your body actually burns more calories digesting them then the food containes, leaving you negative.7. DONT GET FRUSTRATED AND BE CONSITANT. Weight loss takes time. You are NOT going to wake up in the morning and say WOW! Im thinner! . If you lose the weight too fast, your just going to regain it all, if not more when you start eating normal again. Be healthy, be commited, and be persistant. If you do everything I said, I promise you will lose weight

lol, no reason to puke or starve :) I was overweight after having my son and tried just about everything for a year before joining Weight Watchers. The results are fast. I lost 10lbs in a month and I was still losing when I left but I got pregnant again so I had to stop the program. I would highly recommend this. It s really not expensive and you can join for one month, gain the tools needed, and quit the membership if you want, but I recommend going to the meetings. They are nowhere near as bad as the rumors! I found it very hard to cut out certain foods and with this program, you can eat whatever you want, you are just watching your portion sizes. You don t feel as though you are on a diet therefore you never feel like your cheating and want to quit.

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, whichwill lead to increase of weight, or muscle growunderneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet withoutexercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. Fordiet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no foodafter 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending onyour initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. Ifyou don t eat wheat then you don t eat all those sticky, fatty goeycakes, you don t eat junk food, and you don t eat biscuits. But yourdiet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have tocalculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is themost efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight alot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to targetyour problem areas for men and women. It s not necessarily to become abodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help youto target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

you are a woman. for women to lose weight they have to reduce their calorie intake. 20lbs by xmas should be a doddle thats only 4lbs a week.1lb=3500kCal, so you need to reduce your calorie intake by 12,000kCal per week or 1,700kCal per day. since the recommended daily intake for a woman is 2000kCal per day this is too much, u cannot eat only 300kCal a day. eat about 800 per day and make up the rest with excercise. this shouldnt be too unhealthy for 5 weeks, but when xmas arrives dont jump straight back into old habits as the weight will come straight back. instead continue excersising and increase your calorie intake gradually until you get back to the 2000kCal recommended - this way you will maintain your new weight.

All natural..Cooked without seasoned and raw fruits and veggies..Steamed or cooked can actually cause you to gain weight.. Stick with grilled chicken and fish..Drink water with protein before each meal (3) or a handful of walnuts(it fills you up) wait a half hour then eat 100-300 calories..Also drink water.. The colder the better because your body has to work harder to keep its temp upIf you can t raise it or grow it don t eat it..It sounds boring but it works..Good Luck!!

Try to eat healthy and avoid snacks. The following website helped me a lot to lose weight:http://www.youfreeweb.com/diet/They give you useful advice and a diet...Good luck!

Eat vegies and soup (as much as you want) and little heathy meals. Stick to this diet and do some jogging and you should be fine.

do alot of running it burns fat, increases metabolism, and tones you up.

get a bmx bike nd ride it all around town, thats wat i do to stay in shape

work out nice and hard but in the begning don t overdo it!

:) Vegan weight loss tips? -

Okay, okay, I m like running these questions in the whole lol. but I ve gained four pounds in 1 month since being vegan :[ and i m already over weight How can I lose it? I really don t eat much. It s like one or two meals a day. And i m not really a salad person with out the DRESSING!!! I m more of a frozen vegetables kind of person now *tear. I do eat tofu, oreo cookies and :}chips! (only tortilla chips) lol. :) OH AND SPAGHETTI MMM! lol but I want to lose about 40 pounds. Help??? (p.s i m already on spart teens it s just not alot of motivation on their) ;D any weight loss buddies?

This can happen in the beginning while still trying to figure out what to eat and trying to fill that void you may be feeling. I m guessing this because of the amount of carbs you seem to be using. Carbs give a satisfied feeling but are very fattening. 1. Protein will keep you full and satisfied so be certain you are meeting your daily requirements. Divide your ideal body weight by 2.2 to determine your weight in kilograms. Multiply that number by .08 for your daily protein allotment. 2. Eat about 8 almonds 30 minutes before your meal and you ll be full quicker and feel better. 3. You MUST eat more than twice a day. Your body doesn t know you re not stranded on a desert and will slow its metabolism down thus burning less fuel/calories. And, remember, the heart is a muscle. It must be fed.4. You must expend more energy/burned calories than consumed to lose weight. 5. Stay well hydrated with zero-calorie fluids.

you re probably eating a lot of pasta. cut back on your carbs and add more vegetables. if you like creamy dressings on your salad there are ways to make your own. mayonnaise is the base of all creamy salad dressing and they make a delicious mayonnaise substitute called vegenaise. you can find it at any health food store. you can also buy imitation parmesan cheese. which, parmesan peppercorn was always my favorite. thin out a little vegenaise with some soy milk or water and add imitation parm and fresh cracked black pepper and you got vegan creamy dressing. your weight gain is probably because you aren t eating what you want to eat so you re overeating things you don t want. here s a link to dressing recipes, you can find vegan alternatives at the store. salad dressing isn t something you should be deprived of. i didn t really answer your question but no one should be deprived of ranch dressing.http://www.dinnerplanner.com/make-salad-http://vegweb.com/index.php?board=255.0oh and you should eat more often, it ll keep your metabolism up. i would be your weight loss buddy but i m happy being fat :)

Eat less, move more. Eat like a king in the morning, a queen in the afternoon, and a peasant in the evening. Eat the majority of your calories earlier in the day. Avoid sodas and junk foods. Keep your caloric intake at or above 1400 to prevent your body from going into starvation mode.

If you re exercising more, you may have gained weight by building muscle. It may have nothing at all to do with your diet. Are tortilla chips and oreos vegan, though? You may want to research some of those ingredients against vegan guidelines to be sure.

Try to stay away from the carbs. Breads, chips, cookies. Eat more vegies, beans and fruits.

drink a lot water and eat MORE fruit and vegetables. expeciall fruit!!!!!

I ve never known a healthy vegan to remain overweight, let alone gain weight. If you re serious about this, cut out the greases...that includes dressings. Switch to any number of vinegars with other flavorings such as garlic, onion, pepper, oregano..there s plenty to pick from.Oreo cookies? You ve gotta be kidding. No wonder you re gaining!Tortilla chips? They re usually holding 9 grams of far per ounce. At 9 calories per gram of fat, you re consuming (and wearing) 81 calories for every ounce of chips you eat. I m not overly careful but won t eat a single Oreo or chip in a year. But I m not over fat, either.Spaghetti usually comes along with sauces---highly suspect for cheese and oil content. You don t mention exercising. If you re sedentary, you might not lose even on a 1200 calorie regimen and that s barely enough to nourish your body. If you re a teenager, I think you may be up against hormonal changes. Can you speak to your family doctor? It would not be wise for a young person to take firm control of weight issues at the expense of nourishment drawn from a broad spectrum of nutritionally valuable foods.

Switch your pasta to whole grain pasta - it s more filling, more fiber and more protein, It may taste off to you at first but you get used to it pretty fast. Salads with dressing is fine, just measure the dressing so you don t get more than a serving. Newman s Own Light Balsamic Vinaigrette tastes great and has only 45 calories and 4 grams of fat. Use dark leafy green lettuces like romaine and spinach for maximum nutritional benefit. The tortilla chips are fine but switched to a baked variety and have them with salsa, pico de gallo or guacamole. Put it on a plate and top with some veggies like bell peppers and olives to make this a meal instead of mindlessly eating them out of a bag. Plain air-popped popcorn can make a good snack too.As for oreos and sweets, you should probably give them up completely until you lose the weight. Eat fresh fruit instead.Sometime I ve found that really helps with weight loss is making a smoothie with 2tbsp of flax seed in it for breakfast. These smoothies should comprise both fruits and vegetables. The basic formula I use is:6-8oz of soymilk1 serving of frozen fruit1 serving of vegetables1 small banana (this is necessary to make it smooth)Some good combos are carrots with apple and mango and spinach and kale with pears. Greens are great to put in smoothies because they are easier to eat that way and the fruit masks the bitterness of them.

il be ur weight loss buddy XDyea im vegan too and at 1st i kinda gained weight that was because i was eating more of the starches and bread and cupcakes and cookiesbut then i faced the ugly truthu cant loose wieght and eat all that stufff at the same timeso i started eating more veggies and fruiti love stir fries with kale, spinach, onions, swiss chard and other veggies with a coconut amino acid or u can do light soy saucewith a brown rice pasta or just brown ricelike in the morning i do power smoothiesand i have to admit not everything is about tastesome stuff is really good for u but taste grossand sometimes for a light dessert i do blueberries/blackberries/rasberries with some nutsand i workout everyday for like 50 minutesemail me tokiohotelforever7@hotmail.comi lost 10 lbs and im going for 30 more XD

Weight loss is all about spending more calories than you take in. That s usually done through diet exercise. The chips the oreos can be included in a diet, but they have to be accounted for. Studies have shown that peole that journel their food intake (Honestly!) tend to lose more weight. http://www.kraftfoods.com/kf/Pages/home. Healthy Living tab Meal Fitness Planner linkI adore this site. You have to manually enter some of the pre-packaged stuff, but it counts everything for you for the day. You should probably be consuming 1200-1500 calories if you want to lose weight, in addition to regular exercise. If you like pasta, then that s great! Add fresh veggies and sauteed tempeh or tofu for protein. Use seasonal veggies if possible. Desserts and snacks will continue to be your downfall, as will salad dressings. It s stunning how many calories are in a homebaked cookie or cupcake compared to an entire homemade pasta dish. Be smart, exercise, and track your calories. Cheers!

A problem that a lot of people (and I mean ALOT) have is gluten intolerance. It s an extremely common problem and a big cause of weight gain and other health problems. What happens is that your body reacts to gluten by producing antibodies and the antibodies attack your intestines causing damage. Your body can t absorb nutrients so it slows your metabolism, guards its fat stores with an iron fist, and amps up your food cravings. It also attacks other organs including your thyroid. A lot of people with hypothyroidism have gluten intolerance and vice versa. Even if your thyroid levels are normal, you could still have some thyroid dysfunction that is affecting your weight. Now, when you go vegetarian and especially vegan, a lot of your meat is getting replaced with foods that have gluten in them like bread, meat replacers, and pasta. So the gluten intolerance is going to get worse when you go vegetarian. I went on a very low fat vegetarian diet in high school and I got really really sick. It wasn t until years later that I discovered what was going on. I lost 20 pounds after going gluten free and my thyroid levels are back to normal on their own and my anemia went away. Let me know if you have any questions!http://www.celiac.com/categories/Celiac-
