First, assume that your calorie needs are about 200-300 less than what they actually are. To eat, start eating smaller portions, so even if you have two servings, those two servings are equal to one of the bigger servings you ate before. Then, start exercising more, even if its little things like walking a little farther before taking the bus or driving. In terms of food, cut out the fast food!!!!! That is the best thing you can do. Also, if you can, cut out as much beef as you can, replacing it with chicken. If at all possible, and I know it s hard, don t eat dessert every night. Or have it every night, but change your idea of dessert. Like instead if chocolate ice cream, eat an italian ice or full fruit ice pop. Energy drinks are just empty calories, and you don t need them. Anyway they have a meal plan but you can turn that off and enter your own food. which is what I did. Well I am in an Njrotc program and last October I went to the Marines Recruit Depot in San Diego. I have seen the basic training and what is needed to be done. There is lots of running involved and swimming and what not. Id say maybe start to build up your running and swimming skills. Weights would also be a good way to show the lean muscle. Have a well balanced meals and eat more then three times a day. I hope I helped out!
