How to lose weight at 13 years old? -

I am 13 years old and i am a cheerleader. Cheer season is over until fall and i want to get back in shape before august. I am about to hit 125 pounds and that s not good. I feel like a whale compared to my friends and its just better for me to lose like 15-20 lbs. What excercises should i do and what kind of diet should i have?

Diet + Exercise = Weight loss! :)It may help with the diet part to avoid foods high in sugar and carbs. These foods will make you continue to feel hungry throughout the day. Try to eat more vegetables and proteins. Also, high fiber foods will keep you feeling you much longer. Cut back on the daily calories by about 500 calories per day. A 1200-calorie diet each day should help bring results. Counting calories will help. DRINK LOTS OF WATER!!As for the exercise part... Cardio will help burn fat. And weight lifting will help build muscle which naturally burns more calories than fat. Make sure that you always changes up your exercises and include a wide variety of activities!!!! If you continue to do the exact same exercises repeatedly for extended periods of time, then your body will adjust to the work and it will cease to be affective!!!! Follow those simple rules and you should lose some weight in no time.Ps. Here s another tip: Try to eat the largest meal early in the day, then cut back at each meal throughout the day. People s metabolisms are fastest early in the day and as the day goes on, they slow down. Therefore, the last meal should be the smallest. ALSO spicy foods speed up metabolisms!!!!! :)

you should consult your doctor to get a safe diet and exercise plan that is designed for you.as a general answer to anyone trying to lose weight:exercise; try jogging around your neighbourhood, play sports with friends, etceat right: eat lots of fruits and dark green veggies, drink water instead of sugary juices and pops, and cut back on processed food

How to lose weight about 20-25 pounds and keep maintaining the body tone? -

I ve read a lot about losing weight and it says no carbs, no rice, pasta or bread. How come asian people eating a lot of rice as their main dish and they keep skiny and healthy although no exercise at all?

I m not going to tell you to diet because that s ridiculous. But as for exercise, that s needed for your body to stay healthy. Trust me. So read this, please. I m not trying to offend you but this is just a suggestion to live a happy and healthy lifestyle.First of all, I really hope that throughout this process you re considering your health before your image. It s really not healthy to starve yourself by just drinking slim fast and protein shakes. This is a healthier version of weight loss that your body will thank you for!Exercise:A. Go to your local gym. I personally love going to the YMCA and taking classes such as Spin, Boot Camp, and Xtreme Pump. They are an hour long each and REALLY help you to get fit!B. *If you can t afford a membership or just don t have the time, you could wake up early in the mornings or go out in the evenings for a nice run around your neighborhood. Bring an iPod or MP3 with you to pump yourself with fast-paced and easy going music. *You can also set a goal for yourself to do 100 sit ups, push ups, and stretches every morning and night, and before you take your run. It helps to build muscle and tone the areas that running doesn t focus on.Food: (THIS IS NOT A DIET)First and foremost, please DO NOT go on any crazy, unhealthy, starving diets. Still eat 3 meals a day with a snack between each. (and all of this is from my experience)*For breakfast, have a healthy cereal with a piece of fruit and a bagel. Drink orange juice and/or coffee with it. *Lunch, a plate of spagetti with low-fat garlic bread and a glass of milk. (BTW, if you drink 3 glasses of low fat milk a day, it helps to make your bones strong and make you leaner :D) Have some broccoli or another small portion of veggies on the side.*Dinner, similar to lunch: your basic entree, a portion of veggies, some milk and/or waterSnacks can include healthy yogurts, fruits, and wheat thins. Drink water throughout the day, too. It helps to flush out your system and keep you hydrated throughout your exercises. It sounds like a difficult routine to get used to, but it s so easy once you get started. I do the exact same routine and I am now 115 lbs and VERY healthy and energetic! Working out will be difficult at first, but once your body gets used to using so much energy, it will crave it!And as far as eating before you exercise, you can do either*have a snack before*or have a full meal, then wait an hour before exercisingand ALWAYS eat after exercising, and drink water!I hope I have helped you and GOOD LUCK!PS- as for results, you will begin to FEEL them before you notice them! if you exercise for 30 mintues to an hour 4-6 days a week, you can lose up to 3 lbs that week. It s healthy to only lose small amounts of weight at a time, like 2-3 lbs a week. Results on the scale are also different from your health. When you start exercising you will start to gain muscle, so it will seem like you re not losing weight when you step on the scale, but you will notice by your size.

Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. Drink 8 glasses of water a day. Drink green tea, will help increase metabolism. Stay away from sugars and starches. Excercise at least 30 minutes a day. Count your calories, very important, go to the following site to help lose weight by eating right: http://nutrition.about.com/library/bl_nu

You HAVE to eat carbs, just don t eat too much of them.Yould aim for 5 - 6 meals a day consisting of 350 - 450 calories each, and that should boost your metabolism.Cardio 30 minutes a day And resistance training is essential. The more LBM you have the more muscle you will burn whilst sitting doing nothing.

i m asian and i stayed thin but i was being abused and force-fed by some relatives and i gained weight so i guess im not really lucky there. there was a lot that contributed to my weight gain but mostly it was because of that. u no wut i mean? im not fat but i just gained some weight and yeah.

How do you know they don t exercise? You must exercise to maintain body tone. Try some brisk walking to start with. The key to being healthy a good weight is to eat natural foods like whole grains, brown rice, ww pasta, lots of veggies fruits (no fruit juice), nuts, lots of fresh water. Good luck.

i 3jesus, that is very sad and i am glad u survived. we were both lucky that we were born thin with skinny traits but i know someone who also was forced to gain some weight. luckily he also resisted and didnt gain too much weight. i hope you do well.as for the creator of this topic, i guess its all genetics and diet...

I DID IT THE EASY WAY I USED HERBALIFE. THIS GREAT THING ABOUT IT IS YOU USE THE NATURAL SUPPLEMENTS TO LOSE THE WEIGHT AND JUST BY ALTERING HOW MUCH YOU USE IT IS ALSO WHAT YOU USE TO MAINTAIN YOUR HEALTHY WEIGHT. MY REPRESENTATIVES EMAIL IS BRETT.BROCK22@YAHOO.COM YOU SHOULD GIVE HIM A TRY HE S GREAT!

You can try Calorie Shifting, which works by getting you to eat the right food at specific times of the day. Then by rotating it so that your metabolism never gets used to any routine. All the best!!!

Weight Loss Tips?? -

I am 14 and weigh roughly 117-188 lbs.I don t think I am like, fat but I would like to lose about 7 or 8 lbs.Any advice??And what is your advice on fighting off food cravings??

I think you mean 117-118 lbs, right? That s not really overweight at all - I would suggest you just eat lots of good carbs (like veggies, fruit and whole grains) and cut down on the simple sugars as much as possible. Do not cut fat right out but try to stay away from animal fat (saturated fat) and trans fat (hydrogenized fats). Just eat healthy and don t diet! - you won t feel that hungry eating lots of good carbs because there is more bulk and you feel fuller than you do when you don t eat enough fibre.
