How can i lose weight? -

i am 15 years old.. im not overweight or anything but i would like to lose weight! i am about 120-130 pounds and i am 5 1 i have tried dieting (the safe way) but it hasnt worked much... i dont ahve any exercising equipment and i cant go to any gyms.. i am moving soon to a place that has a lot of beaches and i dont want to look bad in a bathing suit.. so does anyone have a ny suggestions on how i can lose weight fast? but safely??

Stop drinking sodas and eating sweets. Go out for a walk/jog/run every other day or so. It is as simple as that.

o.k. here is the thing, people and i mean it seems like everyone is loosing grip on reality when it comes to wieght loss. diets are to the point of making me mad, most do more harm than good. see what you eat is not near as important as how you use it. here is a fact, and remmeber this because as i just said it is fact. there is only one thing that burns fat...only one....it s called muscle. thats is fact. even cardio, yep your heart is a muscle.. and your body when hungry will first burn muscle first if it is not in use... so dieting without excersise is a step back wards. seriously.. and i have heard but i dont want to be a muscle women/man i ll tell you what when you start to look that way back off, i ll garantee by then you will be skinniy. And its not hard seriously, just focus on using muscles, and you ll start loosing inches. i say inches because muscle wieghts more than fat, so initiallly you may gain wieght, but loose inches, and that is something to get excited about. Because that means you have more fat buring potential. and the inchest will go faster. Eventually you will balence out and the wieght will drop. Why do you think it was easier when you were younger?, it s not age, it s strength. Does weight lifting and running help you lose weight faster then just running and not lifting weights? -

I saw on T.V. that you could run for 2 hours and it doesn t really do you any good unless you weight lift along with your running... I juts didn t know if that was true or not because it makes since because weight lifting builds more muslce and more muslce burns more fat so I just wanted to know if that was ture or not....

It is true that it takes more calories to support muscle than fat, so if you do weights and cardio then you will lose fat faster, however, since muscle weighs more than fat you might gain weight while losing fat. The show on t.v. about running not doing you any good is wrong. I am not sure what they said but your statement about the show is incorrect. You can lose lots of weight by running 2 hours per day, as long as your not eating more calories than you are burning.

yes it does, but keep your running time with in 30 to 45mins at a high intensity level. do not run for two hours or more your body will begin to use your glycogen stored in your muscle for energy. that is not good if your are trying to maintain muscle or grow muscle. Just look at your marathon runners for example.

yea running will make you loose alot even muscles if you dont work out,,,u have to maintain a high protein diet to get that nice cut physic,,,,both running and weightlifting come together to get a cut,strong and well built body,,,only working out will get you big but mayb not as cut. if you only run u will get skinny with not muscle ....so its better to do both

i would think not. As is now you are barely even overweight. Now if you were obese there could be an issue. I don t think you have anything to worry about.
