What is the fastest but safest weight loss plan? -

Hi! Im 13 , 5 6 and about 165. All of my friends are really skinny but not too skinny. i am really self conscious around them and my family. My whole family is a bit over weight and my mother has SO many weight loss programs...Tea Bo...Windsor Pillaties...turbo jam...yoga booty ballet...gilad...slim in 6...and more. I was just wondering what the fastest and most effective plan is. But i am young so i also want it to be safe. Any suggestions? I need to loose about 45-50lbs. And i need to do it fast but safly!

You need to make sure that you both excercise and eat healthy if you want to achieve the changes in weight you desire. There are no quick fixes, but there are plenty of different methods you can use to achieve the body that you desire. For some great free and detailed weight loss, health, dieting and fitness information - travel over to the link below.

Start eating a raw organic vegan diet, that works really really well, especially if you also take wheat gluten containing foods and sugar out.

(1) lose weight(2) safelyTo answer the first part, the bottom line is you need to burn more calories than you consume. To determine the number of calories you burn a day you need to add up the calories you burn during exercise (walking, sports, etc.) and add that too your base metabolic rate (bmr; the energy your body requires to function). There are plenty of bmr calculators on-line, and they aren t super accurate because your metabolic rate is partly genetic, and can vary significantly among individuals. Based on your height and weight, I d say yours would likely fall somewhere between 1500 and 1800 calories. If you burn 500 calories per day more than you consume, you will lose 1 pound per week. 3500 calories = 1 pound. To answer the second part (i.e., doing this safely), you need to consider your body s nutrient and energy requirements. You need to be sure you are getting enough calories (at LEAST 1200 per day, more if you are doing a lot of exercise -- The take home point here is that to do it safely, you CANNOT do it quickly -- If you are lossing more than 1-2 pounds on average per week, you are doing it too quickly). Another thing that is crucial to losing weight safely is nutrition. You need to be sure you are getting enough of your macronutrients (e.g., protein, fat, carbs) and then enough of the micronutrients (calcium, B12, vitamin C and iron are some of the big ones to keep an eye on). So, I would suggest focusing on getting plenty of exercise (aim for 45-60 minutes of cardiovascular exercise five times a week), and restrict your diet to the healthiest foods, that are rich in the nutrients your body needs. Finally, I would keep an eye on your calories, and try to stay within the 1500 to 1800 calories per day (more if you are exercising a lot), and see what kind of results you get. If you find with the exercise and diet you are still not losing weight, reduce your calorie intake slightly (~50 cal/day) each week, until you start seeing results (unless this means consuming less than 1200 calories a day -- then I would suggest consulting a doctor, because your weight issues may be do to a health problem (e.g., hypothyroid).

Please help : healthy weight loss!? -

my info:age: 15 year old femaleheight: 5 3 1/2weight : about 123?i m trying to recover from ED-NOS.. so i need tips on losing weight safely and healthy. i increased my calorie intake to 2,000 for the past week.. maybe more? and i gained a few lbs obviously.. because i used to eat under like 800 a day.so i was planning on going to 1,200-1,500 calories a day and exercising for 45min-1 hour a day.and i want to be at the weight 105 in 3 months.. which i think is realistic.and i lack a lot of protein, so i was wondering what i should do for that.. and what to do to maintain my weight after i get to the weight i want.or desired look..please answer. =]

well, i am sixteen and i weight 120 pound. excise 2 hour a day from Monday to Friday. you can play basketball, walk around the park or do something that is fun. on Saturday and Sunday. run for 15 to 30 min. dont eat a lot of junk food.

Um...I say 105 weight is a little too much but if you want to lose weight in a healthy way then I suggest you watch fat intake and carbs intake..... eat salad with meat in it and talk to your doctor or parent about protein drinks if you are really really low on your protein level. and just continue to exercising 4-5 times a week but not all week because you need to give your body a little rest for a day or two. But don t cut out all carbs and fat intake because you still need a little bit to be healthy.

Go ask your doctor. You can also take brisk walks everyday for 30min.

your doctor would be the best source for this!!!

Is the idiot proof diet safe/affective? -

i dont want to do anything to my body that will be bad for it in the long run. Whats the skinny on the idiot proof diet program? Does it work and is it healthy weight loss?

Ok...Here is what you need to do... 1. EAT HEALTHY*6:30~ Whole Wheat toast with no butterApple/OrangeGlass of Water*12:00~ A piece of cheesePacket of Animal Crackers*6:30~ 1 Cup of healthy cereal with 1/2 cup of low fat/no fat milk2. EXCERCISE! MORNING:Do a few excersises at home when you wake up. Try this.... When you wake up.... instead of laying there in your bed.... lift your legs in the air and try and hold them for a minute. Then get off of your bed and lay on the floor. Get something somewhat heavy and put it in your hands(eg. a ball). Then you would move the object from one side of you to the other... so like if you had a ball... you would hold it in both hands and you would start on the left side... then you would swing it over to the right side without moving your body... just your arms... oh! I forgot... and don t let your feet touch the ground when you lay down... it will burn the fat in your legs, butt, and your stomach. AFTERNOON:When you get out of school or you get a lunch break at work... take a brisk walk or run for about 10 minutes... then go home and do it again in about 20-30 minutes.EVENING:Before you go to bed... do the thing that you do in the morning... but try and do it 2-3 times longer... then go to bed...

Are Lean Cuisine meals really intended for women? -

I purchased some Lean Cuisine meals for work so I can save money and lose some weight as well, but I just can t do it.I m a 25 year old male and I read that men my age are supposed to eat 2000-2500 calories per day. I have a sit-down office job, but I also go to the gym after work, and I just can t survive on a 250 calorie lunch. I feel like I m starving to death. So, my questions:1-Are these meals really intended for women, or are they for men as well, because they are usually marketed for women.2-Are they intended to be used only temporarily to start a weight loss program?3-Are they intended to be only part of a meal?

Lean Cuisine doesn t work. Not even for women. You have to take the bull by the horns as it were and get on a real diet. There s a plethora of them out there. You have to figure out which one works best for you. Controlled carbohydrate works best for men. You can eat as much meat, cheese, eggs, and most vegetables as you like. Buy a copy of Atkins or Southbeach. It ll work for you.

it amazes me that people think there is a link between what they eat and how they look...People are fat because they do not work out enough. Granted, it may be that they need to increase thier exercise because they love to eat alot, HOWEVER, food is not the enemy. How to lose weight:eat like a king for breakfasteat like a prince for luncheat like a peasant for dinnerexercise using weights to increase muscle masson days not using weights do cardio. The end.and yeah those lil meals do nothing for a man.

they are for whoever wants to eat them, i eat them sometimes too

1- I m not completely sure, but I think that Lean Cuisine meals are for both men and women. I don t really see why not. I think that they are just advertised more for women.2- I think you can eat them for as long as you want, but the makers probably want you to go on a weight loss program. I know Weight Watchers has that kind of meal, and I m sure they encourage people to join Weight Watchers.3- No, they re supposed to be your whole meal. They are small, though, so I always have something else with it.

Is it true that a girls waist quot;disappearsquot; when she first gets her period? -

I used to be slim, now I m in tears because I m so dumpy. Should I enroll in a weight-loss program or will it go away by itself, and when? I also think i gained weight since i moved to a new town and I spent lots of winter afternoons home alone, sometimes bingeing on nuts and cookies and stuff like that.. Is this puberty,or what? I was also obsessing over this guy which i don t like anymore but who totally wrecked my self image by dating girls that I think he finds more attractive than me since they definately don t have any weight problems (and it shows). I know it sounds weird, but I dealed with this by eating a lot. Yesterday I broke down and started crying because I barely fit into anything that I wore last year at this time. I remembered reading that a girl s figure would totally go away after her period and that my body will right itself. But I m scared that I am spending too much time worrying about this and that I m, developing some sort of eating disorder cause of this. HELP!

starting your period will not automatically make you skinny and curvaceous. You gained weight because you are less active and are eating high-fat food. The best thing is to eat healthy and stay active. Do not get extreme and start dieting or excessively exercising. Go for walks, join a sport or activity that keeps you having fun while moving. Now is the time in your life when you are setting patterns for the rest of your life. Weight that you put on now will only get harder to get rid of as you get older. Don t depend on your period to solve everything, because you will be very disappointed. Just take control of your habits and thoughts now. It s normal for you to be emotional and self-conscious now, but you can take control and not let it get to you as much.

you should believe every you hear

o god no..dont believe everything u here

find some other way to cope other than food, no having a period does not sadly magically make you fat or thin (since i was thin everyone told me i was going to get fat....yet i stil lweigh the same shrimpy amount)....enroll in a gym, run, do something active. but in a few years the baby fat will turn into curvacious curves so eat healthy and excersize but dont fret if your never as thin as the other girls, it will all even out eventually.i have the total opposite problem, i was always thin and now i have no curves and i cant gain any weight if i try. my sister was chubby when she was little and now she is the one with all the curves...so yea it evens out.

Loosing the weight? -

please help I am 51 with several but not critical health issues, one of which arthiritis in my knees, eventually knee replacement. however, I am also obese, I weight 308 lbs about5/5 i searching for some kind weight loss program, that s inexpensive, (not jenny craig, or nutrisystem etc) I can t workout to much because of knees, and walking is minimum for now, so i was wondering what you folks have heard about or tried that has worked .Thank you

Try cutting back on the calories... perhaps ditching regular soft drinks for diet ones and replacing table sugar with Splenda - particularly in tea and coffee. I also like the one treat a day rule... it allows you to maintain your sanity while getting your eating plan in order. Plan a healthy, balanced diet and then allow one small not-so-healthy item a day (one cookie, glass of wine, or fried item, etc.), but only one and only in small portions. (With moderate exercise, I lost 40 pounds this way.)As for exercise, perhaps a recumbent exercise bike? They re easy on the knees and the back. Or a class that happens in a swimming pool - they re easy on the knees because the water takes away any pounding you d get in a regular exercise class. Also you don t realize you re sweating because the water keeps you cool. But they re definitely still a workout. With either, start slow and build up or you might injure yourself and have to quit. Also, see a physical therapist about those knees; perhaps some specific exercises or massage techniques can help.
