Instead of Nutri-System or Jenny Craig, would this work instead? -

Since I ve heard that a person still has to buy fruits, vegetables, milk, nuts, etc.... when on Nutri-System or Jenny Craig weight loss programs, wouldn t it be just as effective and cheaper to create a similar home program? If I bought whole grain or low carb packaged meals such as Lean Cuisine, Smart ones, Healthy Choice etc.... and used them for my three main meals daily then just added fruit, low-fat dairy, and vegetables for snacks, wouldn t that work just as well? I could even purchase one daily treat as a snack (like low fat cookies or fat free cheesecake) like I ve seen advertised on T.V. by the main weight loss programs. Has anybody tried doing this instead? If you ve done Jenny Craig or Nutri-System, do you think the food would be similar and the carbs/calories equal to what I could purchase in a super market? Also, how many calories does Jenny or Nutri-System allow you daily? Any advise is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Since I started to work out I was looking for a good weight loss product (I only wanted something 100% natural). I was on a diet but I felt that I needed a little help so I decided to try this great detoxification colon cleanse and I had fantastic results. You can check their website at http://fit-thin.info , they give you a free trial and you only pay $4.95 shipping and handling.

Is any kind of protein supplement needed for healthy weight loss? -

Hi. I lost 39.5 in 6 months. I go to gym regularly. I just want to know is any kind of supplement is required ? I will skip a meal if I drink some supplement. Your input please. My target is total 110lbs. So approx, 70 lbs in next 12 months around.

Whole foods and a clean and diverse diet are always best, but Whey protein is a high performance functional food that can definitely aid in recovery and improve your immune function. And if a muscle is stimulated properly, whey can help repair and build new muscle tissue which can boost your metabolism and help you drop more fat. Make sure you use a pure whey protein with No artificial Sweeteners, No artificial Flavors, No artificial Fillers etc.

No, no supplement is needed for healthy weight loss. As long as you get a well balanced diet with enough protein you don t need any fancy supplements. Skipping meals is detrimental to weight loss as it causes large fluctuations in blood sugar, making you hungry and causing you to eat much more when you eat the next meal. While it isn t needed, if you get very little protein in your diet, a protein supplement would be an easy way to add some, the most common way to supplement protein is with a whey protein shake.Currently, you need approximately 81 grams of protein a day.Good luck with your weight loss.

Not everyone can benefit from all these diet pills and supplements. Most doctors even recommend them only if you have weight-related health issues. The best way to lose weight is still by diet and exercise. But if you really want to use pills and supplements, the best person to consult with is your doctor. Although much of these drugs can be bought over-the-counter, there might be some precautions needed before taking them. It s best to see your doctor before using them.

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart. However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I ve found a great addition to help any one out, it s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it s the best pill I ve tried and I ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

How can I stop sabotaging myself with my weight? -

I am overweight. I ve been overweight my entire life. However, at 19 years old, I m currently at my heaviest, 5 5 and 175 pounds. I have every door open to me. My parents have no problem paying any amount of money to pay for gym memberships, health programs, weight loss camp, personal trainers, etc. And I cannot tell you how much I have appreciated their help. But every single time i start a weight loss program, I suddenly stop exercising and just begin to eat and eat. Usually, i cannot last more than 2 or 3 weeks. I just don t understand how i have had all these opportunities and still continue to allow myself to gain weight. I just keep thinking of more and more excuses to not lose weight. Is there anyone who can help me understand why I continue to sabotage myself? Any advice is appreciated.

i am about your height and weight. 5 years ago i lost 35 lbs in 4 mos and reached my goal weight (on weight watchers). i had some health issues and now i ve gained it back. but i can tell you why i succeeded before. i could not have done it until i decided that i was worth it. it has to start with you deciding that you are worth it. you are worth more than any high calorie snack. worth more than any food can tempt you. escaping to the food does not satisfy you on the inside. believe me, i know. set yourself a goal, and keep your eye on that goal. you will have good days... and bad days. don t worry about those bad days because every day is a new start. i was proud of every small step and every pound i lost. and in the end i was VERY PROUD of reaching my goal. you can do it too. i wish you the best on your journey.

I have been overweight for such a long period in my life, I had to do something. It s been years now and I have finally kept the weight off to live an average weight life. I have found whenever you are trying to lose weight, you should concentrate on these three things which all work together in providing a healthier and quicker weight loss goal for yourself. I have found this combination really successful in my weight loss plans. The first thing is exercising and how much you can put forth into it. The more you exercise, the more results you will see. The next thing is dieting and the calorie intake. If you exercise more, technically you could eat more? Always watch what you eat.Now the last step in a good weight loss plan is always a good diet pill that can help you get to the end of the road. I have found Proactol which is a natural herbal diet pill to be the best around. It s an appetite suppressant along with being a fat blocker which stops up to 28% of fat you eat. Read up about it at Theweightlossplace .com where I saved money on it. Proactol really works well with exercising which gives you plenty of energy to perform. Along with that you diet will be affected by Proactol due to the appetite suppressant and fat blocker. If you slip up on meals, the fat blocker kicks in. It s really great to stop food cravings.Concentrate on those three things and the combination is deadly for the fat cells in your body. Good luck and I hope this helps.

you just need to stop putting yourself down. when you stop excersizing and suddenly start binging, it s probably because you re discouraged and feel bad about yourself. you need to stay positive and encourage yourself instead of hating yourself. it helps to have a plan because if you stick to the plan, you ll feel a sense of accomplishment and your self esteem will go up, and you ll be more willing to continue.

is it possible that you are an emotional eater? you get upset, then start eating.. if so, you need to go get some therapy to find another outlet for this. or maybe take up a sport you like. if i were you, i would get a gym buddy. a friend who likes to work out, and who will motivate and make you go. and ask your parents to try to buy healthier things, or at least to hide the bad things from you like cake and such. you might just not like working out, so maybe take up a sport, or try out different programs like kickboxing or something fun. maybe that will keep you motivated. maybe take a hip hop dance class. i myself hate hip hop, but the class was so fun!

The best thing I can think of is get someone to exercise with you. It makes it more enjoyable, and also gives you motivation to keep going.

you need more will-power!!! maybe you should go to boot camp!!

I think you are obviously self conscious about this. You know you want to lose the weight, but maybe you are afraid what will happen if you fail?? or if people don t respond the way you expect? Its all a mental game for you. if you can i suggest looking into some hypnosis. u can by books and tapes at the store so u can hypnotize yourself... this may sound crazy but it helps you gain control over your subconscious mind. you need to assure yourself and fill your head with positive thoughts. You can do this! just set your mind to it and give it 100%. you ll be happy you did!

The Reason People Can t Lose Weight, and get to their healthy body weight, has nothing to do with will-power, exercising, or the right diet! ... The reason we are overweight and unhealthy is because there are disgusting Plaque and Horrible Little CRITTERS Living in Your Guts! Shed 10, 25, 50, even 100 lbs or more - and Keep It Off FOREVER! by getting rid of these harmful parasites living in your stomach, intestines, and colon.

I ve had that problem in the past and sometimes continue to have it. It just comes to a point where you re sick of your own excuses and you will want to stick with it no matter what.I ve been making excuses for about two months that I was too busy with school and activities to work out, and I started again over spring break and now I m hooked again. It s just self-discipline. Even if you don t want to work out, you have to make yourself do it. Odds are, you ll end up enjoying it and being really glad you did. You just have to get out there and do it, but that s not going to happen until you need it to happen - for you, not for anyone else. And the same thing goes for eating - it s a conscious decision. It s not just going to happen that you ll just stop eating bad things. You have to have that urge come into your mind and then take control of it and either resist the urge to eat, or eat something healthy - but only in moderation! Health food is good for you as long as you don t binge on it.Just make yourself stick with it. That s the only way out of this.

Don t listen techsome. We re on the same boat and I more overweight than you are. I am 5 2 and weigh 175 pounds. But I do have one useful tip, and if you figure out anything else, please let me know. Tip: Whenever I want to eat unnecessary foods or sugary/fatty foods, I just tell myself, it s one moment of discomfort and I can get through it JUST ONE MOMENT. I acutally think that to myself almost everyday, not just for dieting, but for things that I don t want to do or when I get needles to do blood test. IT S JUST ONE MOMENT OF DISCOMFORT. Another thing that s helping me out is watching Nutrition by Natalie videos. (Psychetruth) on Youtube. Whenever I want to eat something, I just rewatch the ones talking about fast food. I always ask myself how did I do in terms of eating weekly. Let me know if you find anothing else.

You have to want to lose weight for yourself; not for anyone else. You have to believe that you can actually do it. If you dont believe in yourself you will not succeed. Will power has a lot to do with dieting.Good Luck!

Set goals. Goals can start small if you re aiming too high you might get discouraged faster realizing they dont happen overnight or after a week. It is about willpower and guilt. If you feel guilty about over eating or indulging or not doing enough exercise you ll want to find a way to make up for it. The best thing that happened to me was I had a friend who wanted to lose weight too so we would go to the gym together as partners/spotters although it turned into a competition. I only saw him going into the gym and walking out. Encouragement is good working out together, or doing the treadmill but in my situation the taunting was what made me want to try harder. If you could go to a fat camp I d say do it, they make losing weight fun. If you re the type who likes to eat make sure you do more excercise.

Do you want to lose weight? I think you should believe in losing weight, and think about what can happen to your whole self-esteem. When improving yourself, your whole self-esteem will change and the outlook for life will soon follow........... good luck in being motivated for life.......!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I know exactly how you feel. Do watch TLC? There s this guy on there Sunday nights, and he really makes sense to me.He basically says-eat whatever you want, just only eat when you re HUNGRY and chew each bite 20 times. In between bites put your silverwear down and don t eat with any distractions. Stop AS Soon as you are full, and eat as soon as you are hungry again.I guess a bunch of people have lost weight with this because you re just letting your body do what it does naturally. The show is called I Can Make You Thin . I m going to try it!

Your an idiot, stop abusing the chances you have before its to late and you end up like this:http://www.njweedman.com/fatass.jpgor if your a guy:http://www.houseoffusion.com/users/image

Healthy weight loss in 2 months!? -

Alright, now I m 15 years and I weigh.. too much. ;] Uhmm, I store most of my fat in my back and stomach, and I was wondering how much weight I can lose in 2 months? I m on summer break already, so I realize that I ve waited a little to long lol, but I want to be fit for the school year. So in 2 months, if I go to the gym for about 30 minutes a day and follow a strict diet, what is the average amount of wight I can lose? (If you have a better workout/diet plan suggestion, please tell me!) Thanks! :D

find a diet plan that works for you..limit calories, and watch your fat intake because each gram of fat is 3 calories.. Diet and a good exercise routine, working out at least 45 mins. 3 days a week will begin to shed the weight, but to expedite the process consider working out 4 or even 5 days a week.

Try hcg you can lose 1 to 2 pounds a day with no exercise its extremely easy but very strict on what to eat its safe with no side affects and it really dose work check out this websitehcgfatloss.com

Your best bet would be to do the Fat X workout and diet program. It s a 12 day plan and the videos are free at ...http://www.FatX101.com

You can lose about a pound to two pounds a week, healthily. Walking is great because it uses all the muscles, and if you do too much it can make fat into muscle. Just take it easy and eat right, but I d aim for one to two pounds a week. You might lose a lot at first due to water weight, do you drink soda at all? It might make your body retain water, so just water is good. :)It s not something that can be rushed, sadly. :( If you do too much and don t eat enough you will lose weight, but your body will go into starvation mode and when you do go back to eating normal you ll gain a lot quickly. Sorry if it seems scary, just been there done that and it is a bit scary, but the main advice I d have is to not feel really bad if you eat something bad like a cupcake once in a blue moon. Just take it easy and you ll find it will come off! :) Hope this helped a little bit :)

Ok the average weight loss that is considered healthy is 1-2lbs a week. But in the end weight loss is determined by how many calories are consumed vs. burned. One of the best websites is thedailyplate.com aka livestrong.com it will allow you to track how many calories you net per day as well as seeing what calories are in foods, alternatives, how much you burn when you exercise, and there are groups that you can talk to for help. Its free btw. While 30 min a day sounds like alot at the gym its not I d recommend atleast an hour. do 30 min of cardio then 15-30min of weights. Also people say if you exercise earlier it starts your metabolism for the day I do 30 min in the morning and an hour + at night. If you want a book and are able to make your own meals I d recommend the jillian books from biggest looser. Also one of the best things that helped me is telling myself I m not on a diet so much as eating healthy that is the best thing todo cut out any high processed, high sugar, high fat, high sodium foods. Increase your water intake (this really does work). If you have any questions feel free to contact me.

Typically it is unhealthy to lose more than about 2 pounds a week. However, a lot of times you may lose more quickly at the beginning (mostly water weight). Don t focus too much on the scale though, because there are many factors that can affect weight, including water intake, bone density, muscle mass - the way your clothes fit is a much better indication of your progress. 30 mins of exercise a day is great - cardio is best for burning calories, but try some weight resistance stuff as well (muscle burns fat). You may also find that you get better results if you keep things fresh by changing your exercise routine frequently... for example, switch from jogging to swimming to elliptical, etc. Most of all, be careful that you are getting enough calories, especially since you will be exercising. Never eat less than 1200 calories per day (this is the minimum that your body needs to perform basic functions, like breathing and keeping your heart beating!). Good luck and take care of yourself!

How hard will it be to lose 30lbs. on Weight Watchers? -

I m 5 4 , 20 years old, and about 140lbs.I want to lose 30lbs. and I haven t done much research on a weight loss program, but I think Weight Watchers might be the one for me.How hard will it be to lose 30lbs. on Weight Watchers? And about how much does it cost? Any other advice or information is welcomed!

Weight Watchers is a very slow process. They put you on a speed diet 1st and you lose like 8lbs in the first week but after that it is extremely slow. And I just wanna add that I am 5 1 and my recommended weight is 116LBS and I am 21 so I don t think that you should weigh 110lbs. See a dietician before doing this weight watchers, because to me it is a waste of money.

On weight watchers it will be impossible... NO PAIN NO GAIN get down to your local gym focusing on 2 different workouts. small light weight training sessions. + Focusing on the lower body and chest like running ,cycling. 4hrs a week for 4 weeks and it will be sure as gone!!! Just dont eat till u get full and with this schedule u ll succeed!!!GOOD LUCK!!!
