It doesnt really matter what you eat (besides the obvious junk food) and when you eat it, as long as it has the nutrients your body needs and you give it to your body when it needs it. You cant forget protein, which is not only a main building block for your body but for your mind as well. I will explain. One of the worst things you can do to your body is stop eating. Your body needs fuel just like your car needs fuel. And just like your car, the better the fuel and oil is, the better the cars performance, the better the food and liquid is that you put in your body with too make you run better. If you are trying to lose fat. Try to raise your metabolism by eating smaller meals, more nutritious meals, and about five or six meals throughout the day. Also, remember that if you are working out you are also building muscle, and muscle weighs more than fat does. So as you lose the fat and gain the muscle your weight might not adjust for a while until your muscle building reaches a plateau and your body begins to really tare away fat.If you do not want to eat five or six small meals a day. Eat three meals a day, smaller portions, then between breakfast and lunch have a healthy snack or meal replacement shake, and another between lunch and dinner. The idea is to teach your body to get rid of all extra fuel it doesnt need, which are fats, carbs, and simple sugars for the most part. And once your body begins to understand that you are giving it the fuel it needs when it needs it, then your body will no longer store fat cells as a fuel reserve. It is also a good idea to use a body cleanser, or detoxify before beginning any change in diet. Especially if you are going to begin eating healthier. The process might cause head aches or muscle cramps depending on what your body has become used to. Also diarrhea is a common side effect of most cleansing programs, but dont worry this is a sign that your body is getting rid of the toxic substances. The cleans will help your body to easily extract the nutrients it needs from the food you intake and bypass the rest as waste. To expedite the process it always helps to concentrate on full body workouts to keep energy storage empty. Also, drink water, water is used to clean your body inside and out. Stay away from caffeine and soda. This will take time. But once you are able to achieve routine with your eating habits it is one of the easiest ways to keep the fat off.So with this, your diet can be very flexible as well. You can have sweets and things but for best results I would stay away from all simple sugars, like candy.Good luck and God bless.

eat turkey meat, don t skip meals, get the fat free butter, eat brown rice, don t put dressings on your salads, use light salt, and stay away from potato chips they are satan. good luck

Can anyone give me some weight loss tips? -

if you really want to lose your weight, don t worry.exercise daily with some hard workouts ,drink fresh jucies.if you want more details view the website

Okay. Cut out eating in between meals.Only eat healthy food and cut down on Carbs like bread, potatoes, pasta s, rice, cereals, lollies etc. These are the fat making foods. Learn exactly what your food groups are so you then know what puts the weight on and off.Dont add salt to your meals. Cut out soft drinks. Then walk an hour every morning two hours after a meal and the same in the afternoon. If you can jog in between both sessions you ll burn even more calories. You should lose and continue to lose more weight as you go.If you can cut out your lunch meal and replace it with a protein drink instead that would also help. Available in supermarkets. As long as you can stay off junk food and eating in between meals. If you have to eat something in between have something like small raw carrots or celery sticks.Herbal teas, low fat milk and water are your best choice of drinks.Summary:Choose a cereal low in sugar for breakfast.Lunch can be a protein drink. Like Slim Right. And all normal meals at a normal serve. Cut down on potatoes and only have small portions of these. Walking as much as you can.For those that want to build more muscle add some gym work to the above as well.

Great post! I totally understand how you feel. I m also trying to lose weight and I found this great product which is working for me. You can check the website at http://www.thin-diet-fun.us , I had a free trial and paid less than $7.00 shipping and handling. Best of luck!

http://diet.ivillage.com/issues/topics/0diet.ivillage is by far the best site I ve found, it tells you what super foods are in terms of nutrition, how best to work out for your body type and the results you wish to obtain, and a ton of other stuff... try the quizzes

The best is try to do some cardio first thing in the morning before eating for about 30 min, remember there are no quick fixes or it wont be permanant,.Then try to workout 4 days a week keeping sets to 3 and reps up to 15, after a 30 min workout, 20 min cardio. try to vary the cardio between rowing, bicycle, jogging/brisk walk. Then try to eat 5 - 6 small meals a day, with about 2 litres of water a day. cut out animal fat, and oil.

Am i fat? ? -

I am a 14 year old girl who is 4 10 and weighs 119 pounds. I am a size 7 in most dresses/pants and a medium or large in most shirts. Most of my fat is in my stomach. I would like honest opinions please and if you think i am fat some weight loss tips please

Your BMI is about 25, so yes, you are overweight. Does this mean you re fat? That depends upon your body fat percentage. If it s over 20%, then probably.

No you re not (:But you sound paranoid. And I totally know what it s like being paranoid about my weight.Well..sometimes.My weight loss tip is eat healthy, lots of fruits/ veggies.Go for a simple walk 30 minutes a day.And don t cross out junk food, just limit yourself, you know?Like you can snack just don t go overboard and totally pig out.For 2 weeks I lost 11 pounds just by jogging 30 minutes a day, and eating healthy. I lost all my baby fat and I have thin legs, and a flat stomach. And for everyone who agrees that a person at 4 10 should weigh like 90 pounds. Are you serious? We all can t be perfect. Just accept that fact. We all can t be the same.

This is exactly the question that i want to ask.I am fourteen aswell and i am five foot five and i have been told by my doctor that i am normal weight for my age. I mean i take a UK size like fourteen to eighteen. I am not sure what country you are from so i am not sure what size a seven is so i can t really comment. If your shirt size is big it s most likely because you have a big chest area which is quite normal in some girls. So basically i think that you are going through a growing stage and you will most likely be ok when you stop growing. If you feel that you are fat then perhaps do more excercise or eat healtheir. If you are worried about your weight you could always go to a doctor and ask what is a healthy weight for someone your age.Hope this helpsNicolex

You are not fat! If you got a little poooch in your tummy, it shouldn t be to hard to shed off a few pounds. Don t get this Am I fat idea in your head because that s what leads to anorexia and bulimia. Trust me because I developed anorexia and it is NOT fun. It was the scariest thing that has ever happened to me. I didn t think I was, it took me 4 years to realize and recover from the disorder and I was your age when it all started. So just be careful! If you want to shed off a few pounds I would recommend to increase your exercise activity (play some sports, go to the gym, take an aerobics class), eat fewer sweets (every once and a while it s okay to treat yourself...like try once a month while your trying to loose some weight. Once you re down a few pounds, like once a week is reasonable...just don t go out of control), and eat your veggies, and NO fast food!!!hope this helps :)

Trust me, you are not fat at all!Sizes at stores are completely arbitrary and vary so much from store to store that there is almost no point. Everyone has fat somewhere - and I can promise you that even the people you think are skinny have something about their bodies they are probably not happy with. You are not fat, so please don t ever doubt that and don t do anything to change. The best thing that you can do for yourself is love yourself, I promise (and I speak from personal experience.)

Your not fat. But you could loose a little pounds. If you eat breakfast and lunch and a small dinner, you will loose weight faster. You burn calories a lot faster during the day then at night, so big dinnners are not to good if you would like to loose some weight. Also, Wii s are pretty fun, and Wii fit is a fun way to track your progress and stay in shape. You could also try jogging. Maybe after school?

I think what s more important than whether or not other people think you re fat is if you do. When people have a poor body image, they will think they are fat no matter what anyone else says. More important to be healthy: better to have a body in shape than to worry about the shape of your body! Stop judging yourself based on the images you see in a magazine and learn to love yourself.

yes you are a little over weight.. at 4 foot 10 you should weight around 90 lbs.. jogging, workout and eat healthy and less food but dont starve.. do a hour of cardio every day and half hour to a hour working out every other day.. except for sat and sunday..2 eggs and toast or oat meal for breakfast, and a veggie sandwich for dinner, and a small snack once or twice a day.. drink green tea and take vitamins with a lot of b vitamin in it..

I hate to come off as parental, but your only 14, your body is still growing. You don t even sound fat. Stop worrying about your weight and focus on being a healthy, beautiful, young girl. You still have a lot of life ahead of you don t spend it being obsessing over your weight.

hahah no offense but yeah. maybe you could try exercising everyday but you have to do different exercises after a week because your muscles get used to the same thing so you have to change iup. Maybe try eating healthier food and not snacking as much. and btw im not trying to mean im want to help

your 119 pounds! no way! i mean if you feel you are, then just snack less and eat healthier, work out a little, even 20 sit ups a night will help. Also if you drink soda, try ice tea or water. Simple things like that and before you know it you will look better. Just remember it takes time, so dont give up! Good luck!

well...i wouldn t say your fat. you should weigh somewhere around 105-110 pounds. do u play any sports? if not...i suggest doing a hip hop dance class. other than that, go running, along with whatever sports u do...it burns a lot of calories. i dont think u need to worry too much though, 10 lbs does not make u fat =D

No! Not at all :) You probably just havn t had a gowth spurt, considering you are only 4 10 . If you want to decrease the size of your stomach a little, don t try to loose weight, just eat more friuts and veggies and do some sit-ups. But sweetie, your not fat.

I really don t think that you are fat. Your smaller than me.Lol.Don t listen to what people have to say about you.If you want to lose a couple pounds just watch what you eat and maybe do some crunches at night. Crunches really do help!Hope this helps.

no, i have fat in my stomach too. Its not a big deal, as long as you are healthy, and you think that you are healthy, than you are fine,I work out doing crunches, pushups, stuff to get Abs and your fat will go away. I am working on the same stuff too.

get your body fat percentage analyzed first before answering that question...such services are done either by dieticians or by fitness trainers...

You are right at the dividing line between normal weight and overweight. If you want to lose weight you need to do the exercise and avoid the simple carbs and the saturated fats. Eat 5-6 times per day, 3-400 calories at a time.

No, but you re crazy short. Keep eating well and cross your fingers for that growth spurt. At 4 10 you re obviously still growing. Get on a diet that restricts your calories and prepare to be looking for adult clothing in the children s section when you re 30 as you stunt your growth. Once you get a little taller you ll find the weight has found appropriate places to go. Dieting has no place in an adolescent s life unless weight is a medical issue. You re not in that realm. Physical activity is always a good idea though.

No you are not fat! dont listen to some of these people. you are still too young. dont worry about it. You are still growing so just make sure you dont gain anymore weight and you ll be fine

not fat, but if you want to tone cut out alot of statrches like bread and wheat, and potatoes and do some work outs like wall kicks

For your height you are over your height weight nothing serious.

um kinda you need two get a wii fit it helps

nah not really

You re not fat. You ll probably grow out of it unless your family is very short, you re still young :)

Maybe slightly over average, but you still have plenty of time to grow.

No. Jeez. size 7? not fat. If your unhappy with a little belly, crunch on.

you are a little big for a 4 foot person, and your very short no offense, work out, and eat healthy

Your body isn t done growing and changing. You should wait until you re 17 or 18 to start considering diets.

nope because im 16 and im 152 but i look like im only 120....i have fat on my sides like lovehandels...its just a body type

anything above a size 1 is fat. So yes you are.

no your not....and your still young so any belly fat will prob go away soon..

eat healthy, excercise daily, replace soda with water, and limit snack intake. That s basically it. But you should also write down in a book what you eat because its said that people who track what they eat tend to lose more then those who don t

The following are 5 unconventional weight loss tips that worked for me.Between January 4, 2007 and March 31, 2007 I lost fifty pounds. These tips work well because almost every tip is focused around completing a small goal. Here are 5 unconventional weight loss tips:Weigh yourself everydayYoull find that almost every other dieter will tell you to weigh yourself only once a week. I recommend the exact opposite. I am very goal oriented and I like to see results everyday. The reason I recommend buying a scale that is accurate to the .2 is that there is a very big difference between weighting 170.8 one day and 170.0 the next day. Losing .8 pounds in one day is excellent. However, if your scale is not accurate enough to report the loss and still shows 170 after a day of healthy eating and working out, you will feel extremely discouraged. A more detailed scale makes it easier to keep a positive outlook. The more successes (days with positive weight loss) the easier it is.Drink 8 glasses of water everydayThis one is obvious and broadly recommended, however, the reason I recommend it is slightly different. Drinking eight glasses of water per day helps you feel less hungry. I cant prove this scientifically, however, when I am at work, I drink 4 cups in the morning and 4 cups in the evening. On the days that I dont drink the water, I feel hungrier, earlier. Also, on the days I dont drink water I feel sleepier, sooner. Dont feel intimidated by trying to drink 8 glasses of water. Try doing what I do: I have a pint glass I keep at work, it holds sixteen ounces (as all pint glasses do). All I do is drink two pints of water in the morning and two in the afternoon.Make your diet publicTell people youre on a diet. Theres no reason to be ashamed to be on a diet. I found that trying to keep my diet a secret was harder than just telling people. In fact, telling your coworkers, girlfriend, family, etc. will increase your accountability. It motivated me knowing that my coworkers and family knew that I was dieting because I did not want to fail. I also chose a typical fat picture and put it on my fridge, in my cubicle, and on my wall. I wanted to have a continual reminder to lose the weight. I know its a cliche, but it was important for me to remind myself of my ultimate goal.I feel I should also note that although I was 50 pounds over weight, when I told people I was on a diet they often said you dont need to diet. I found this surprising because I was obviously overweight. Beware that you will likely hear similar comments. I found it easier to just accept the compliment than to try to justify my diet to them. Remember that you are on a diet for you, and that you do not need to justify yourself.Dont diet on the weekendsThis is another unconventional bit of advice. I was able to lose 50 pounds without dieting on the weekends. I found myself tired, depressed, and unmotivated if I tried to continue my diet into the weekend. I felt that Friday and Saturday (my weekend) was a time to celebrate 5 days of dieting. You may not find this necessary, especially in the first few weeks of a diet. However, as many weeks passed, the weekend became a time for me to celebrate my weekly successes and get myself mentally prepared for another five days of dieting. I considered it a mental recharge.Dont sacrifice your life for your dietOn occasion, you will find yourself unable to eat healthy. Whether this is because of lunches with your team at work, birthdays, or special occasions, there will be events that you just cant (or dont want to) eat healthy. A diet will feel overwhelming if you have to sacrifice special events in your life. The way I combated this was to exchange a day that I was not going to diet on the weekend. In other words, if I didnt diet on Tuesday, for example, I would diet on Saturday, instead.

As long as you keep up whatever you ve been doing, a Christmas day binge won t set you back too much. Just don t find any other excuses to fall off track until you hit your goal.

I gained 7 pounds in 4 months is this normal? -

I used to be 109 and now i m 115 is this normal? What are some weight loss tips? I ve been exersising more because i m on the track team, could it be because of muscle?

Yes, it sounds like you ve lost fat and gained muscle. After starting my regimen, after about a month, I had lost fat, but gained weight due to muscle increase. If you want to lose weight, I suggest hitting the stationary bike. Ride for 45 minutes, but every 5 minutes pedal as hard as you can for as long as you can, up to a minute. This burns up to 9 times more fat than just jogging does for 45 minutes.

Weight loss tips? Losing weight quickly? -

Serious answers only please.

okay.....im not sure how much weight you want to lose but the first like 20 lbs come off really easily. I did the special k diet for 1 week and walked alot....like 6 miles every other day and lost almost 10 lbs. I was really happy but got lazy and stopped doing it. hahaha. just be patient, eat healthy, exercise. And most importantly dont get discouraged if you have an off day. Just pick yourself up and keep going. It happens to everyone!

In order to lose weight effectively, first you need to know your own unique body type. We are all different to each other. There are 5 different body types. Type A; Tall with long limbs. Heavily-boned. Well developed muscles and bones. Strong joints and face lines. Too much carbohydrates could cause illness. Dominating endocrine organ; PituitariumType B; Thin and lithe body with Long neck. Brisk in motion. Thin but big eater. Too much stress could be the main cause of weight gain. Dominating endocrine organ; Thyroid glandType C; Larger hip and bust and chubbier thighs and waist. Plump impression. Relaxing could help burning fat. Dominating endocrine organ; ParanephrostType D; Hourglass-like body. Rounder body with tiny waist. Larger bust and hip. Dairy products and vegetables can enhance metabolism.Dominating endocrine organ; Reproductive glandType E; Smaller and thinner figure. Smaller bust. Teenager-like body structure. Unbalanced diet is taboo. Need a variety of foods in her/his diet. Dominating endocrine organ; Reproductive gland and PituitariumTo figure out which type you are in you just need to answer few questions. (http://www.indigoworld.com.au/weightlossType A:The basic of weight loss rules for Type A is Low Allergen Foods. To stabilize the Pituitarium function, control the balance of thyroid and adrenal hormone which could be disturbed by the intake of too much refined carbohydrates. Although you prefer the dairy products, if you take them too much, it could cause obesity and arthritis. You also tend to skip the regular meals, and to eat without chewing the food thoroughly, which could lead to stomach problems. Type B:The Keyword for Type B weight loss method is high protein diet. You can be affected by meal pattern easily. Follow your meal plan to help your thyroid functions. Type B people tends to have coffee, alcohol or sweets when they get stressed. Type C:Regular meals to provide energy for the body and to help Paranephrost is so important for Type C. Simple foods with variety is the key for your healthy diet. You don t really care if you eat same thing every day or where you eat. At the same time, some of Type Cs loves to eat out as the opportunity to relax.Type D: Dairy + Vegetable diet to stabilize reproductive hormone and to enhance your metabolism. As Type D has slower metabolism, easy-to-digest foods which can change into energy quickly are good for you. Being complete vegetarian is not so hard thing to do for type D people. Type D people prefer to eat with friends and family in home environment rather than restaurants. Type E: Semi-vegetarian diet is suitable for Type E people. You can eat a variety of food and if it was sensible amount it won t affect your health much. Type E people tends to eat only what they like the most as a meal, such as ice creams.

Ok - your question wasn t about what is best for you or best for keeping the weight off or I would answer more like the above answers. You asked for Tips on weight loss and quickly....I know it s difficult but some times you need to get weight off fast. Some tips would beDrink 12 oz. of water when you have the urge to eat -then wait at least 15 minutes to see if you really are hungry-before you do eat.Drink 8 -8oz glasses of water a day - or more, but not all at once. In other words don t flood your self... space it out.Make a rule to not eat after 7 p.m. regardlessStop eatting when you are content, not stuffed or full, but when you are comfortable and you could still eat some more-but dont.Get rid of the temptations-junk foods and sweetsIf you are healthy - you can decrease carbs and increase lean protein. The protein will keep you full longer. Most people are hungry after a simple carbohydrate diet- try it... if you have a scramble egg or chicken or tuna for breakfast, you don t think of food as soon or as often.Cut out the white stuff.... potatoes, bread, pasta ect. ect. ect. ( alot of what we call the good stuff, grrrrrr) and sugar.Increase your body s movement... just move move move. When you wake up put on athletic shoes/tennis shoes/nike s what ever makes you feel like moving a little faster. Watch your intake of calories- try to cut back whatever you where taking in that caused you to gain the weight. For the quick fix weight loss... drink water, move, increase the protein really cut back on the carbs-except good carbs ---Like salads, strawberries, blueberries, green beans, brocolli, pickles, egg beaters or eggs, tuna, fish, poultry, lean cuts of meat, nuts..... make your main diet of the south beach like type foods and the weight will come off quickly!!!!Hope this helps! Best of luck!!!!!

When it comes to losing weight a combination of calorie reduction and exercise is the only way to get and maintain the loss. By the way, at the outset you should know that losing weight quickly isn t usually your best bet for maintaining weight loss. With that in mind, consider the following...Some people, when considering what type of exercise they need to undertake inorder to lose weight having in mind walking vs. running. Walking is just as good as running, in general. It might also be noted that any exercise that burns calories (as long as it is combined with proper nutrition) will result in weight loss -- some exercises burn larger amounts of calories in a shorter period, but if you ll stick to a good regimen then you ll do fine.I work with a number of professionals, students, and stay-at-home parents who don t have time for the gym, can t go running or walking outside of their homes or offices, and they are still able to keep themselves fit. There are a number (quite a number) of good in-home exercises you can do with a minimum amount of equipement.Just so you ll know something about exercise and calories, consider the following:1) Spot-reducing really isn t possible unless you opt for surgery.2) Not all exercise regimens are created equal. For example: If you do sit-ups at the rate of 1 per second for 30 minutes (1800 sit-ups) then you ll burn 140 calories (this is approximately the amount of calories in 1 can of Coke or 1/2 of a chocolate donut). In other words, sit-ups aren t going to do the trick (walking is much more effective) since it takes a reduction of calories or a combination of reduced calories and higher energy expenditure (burning calories) to lose weight. If you burn or restrict your diet by 3500 calories you ll lose 1 pound.I ve been helping people stay healthy for a more than 20 years, I teach ongoing nutrition, cooking, and health classes and I can tell you that losing weight requires a combination of both exercise and caloric restriction but with a proper nutrition balance. Believe me when I tell you that you don t necessarily want to lose weight fast. What you should be looking for is steady, functional fat loss (i.e., weight that stays off once it is gone).Once you read what I ll write below, if you have any specific questions I ll try to answer them either on the FAQ side of my personal website or on my blog -- I won t use your name in either case if you don t want me to. You might also want to visit the FAQ section because it may have some helpful hints for you. If you want to lose weight in a healthy manner, keep the following in mind:1) Check with your physician to be certain that you are physically able to reduce your calories and increase your exercise habits safely.2) Make certain that the calories you are eating are as balanced as possible. When I say balanced I don t mean that they have to all equal the same number of calories. Instead, finding out how much protein, carbs, and fats your body needs on a daily basis (this will vary depending on your metabolic type but a decent example is the 40-40-20 plan -- 40% of calories from protein, 40% from unrefined carbs, and 20% from fats and oils) can really help keep your energy levels high all day long. The #1 reason my clients tell me that they ve stopped dieting or exercising in the past is because of low energy ebbs. Splitting the amount of calories you can have per day into 5 - 6 smaller meals will help tremendously (this keeps your body fueled and ready to go and you also know that your next meal is only a couple of hours away).Knowing what your basal metabolic rate (BMR) is will certainly help you determine how to be calorie conscious. Again, you can find out about BMR and RMR on my site -- it s just too much information to post here. Also remember that you may or may not need supplements to help things along.3) While exercising (before, during, and after) be sure to consume enough water. The key is not to be thirsty (overtly) during this time of exercise.4) Adding weight bearing exercise (i.e., lifting weights) will help to tone your body and the thermogenic (fat burning) effect will last long after you ve stopped working out -- even if your workout is simply walking).5) Remember that you ll probably hit plateaus (times when you ll stop losing weight) several times during your weight loss progress. This is completely normal and is only temporary but it can last for a couple of weeks at a time. It is very important to remember that even if your scale isn t showing progress, your entire body is being positively effected by your efforts.6) Measure different parts of your body (neck, upper arms, lower arms, chest, abs, waist, belly, butt, thighs, etc.) and do it accurately. Write these measurements down and check them once every 2 weeks. This will help you remember that your body is reducing all over -- not just in one particular area. If you re weight training you may actually notice a slight increase in some areas of your body (don t worry -- if you re a woman you won t start looking like a bodybuilder).Again, there s no such thing as spot-reducing (for things like belly fat or thigh fat etc) unless you re talking about surgery. Fat is burned off of the body from all over the body. The reason it seems as though some people can spot-reduce is because, in general, the ankles, thighs, arms, and neck (and obviously the head) don t have as much fat accumulated around them. The reason is simple physics -- your chest to abdomen area (including your back) is a MUCH broader space for fat to be stored. So, it s obvious that this area will also lose a greater amount (but not percentage -- at least in the beginning) of fat.7) Keep focused on your end goal and concentrate on losing maybe 1 pound a week -- sometimes you ll lose more, sometimes less. As long as it s an average, it s okay. In general, if you ll cut back 250 calories a day and burn 250 calories a day (total: 500) then you ll lose 1 pound a week. Doing this will also help you keep your skin tone whereas losing 60 pounds through dieting along (caloric restriction) could result in sagging (still, a little extra skin is better than cardiac problems).8) Lastly, remember that you re doing a WONDERFUL thing for your body.I ve worked with hundreds of people in the past 20 years (mostly women) who have lost (individually) HUNDREDS of pounds safely. Better still, they ve kept it off -- Kay lost over 350 pounds and has been at her goal weight for 7 years now.As for what to take (if anything), that depends entirely on what your body needs. Anyone who suggests that you take something that works for everyone is either confused or deluded. For example, if you had a twin brother or sister your bodies could react completely different to certain supplements or foods on a metabolic level.
