HELP ME, Exercise dilemma, Im not losing any weight, why? -

I have a major problem, I ve been working out the last 3 months 4x a week and am NOT losing any weight! I teeter between 138 and 140 every week! When I work out I do an hour a session, 4 miles, I walk a half mile at 3.1mph with an incline of 2, then I go to the elliptical and do 3 miles on the weight loss program, then I go back to the treadmill for a cool down of half mile. By the time I m done I m sweating like a pig, but still am NOT losing weight! What am I doing wrong??? I ve been eating really good lately too, all kinds of fresh fruits and veggies, and smaller portions. For breakfast I have a bowl of raisin bran cerealLunch I have a ham and roast beef sandwich with no condiments, and a cup of applesauce.for a snack I usually have a bananaFor dinner it varies but I usually have a salad with fat free ranch dressing, and soupHELP ME!

right now looks like you are counting calories and letting the carbs come as they may.. try swapping that... limit your carb input and let the calories come as they may....although honestly doesn t sound like you have much to lose at this point in time.. would of course have to see a pic of ya to know for sure.. but unless you are under 5 5 sounds like you are fine..

uhm clearly your not fat, not even close. my friend in 5 2 and weighs about the same. her doctor told her she shouldn t loose any more weight. it s ******* unhealthy and also seriously a brownie? that s it for one day? try eating something nutritious if your going to try to starve yourself. also just so you know your body goes into starvation mode when you don t eat enough. it tries to hold on to every last piece of fat in your body for energy because it s not getting it from food. plus it screws up your metabolism and when you eat again you gain all your weight back.

Lose belly, thigh, and calf fat by beginning of next school year? -

Here are some tips:1. Change your diet. Try and obtain most of your calories from complex carbohydrates (this will give you energy and keep you feeling full). Remember, you lose fat by burning more calories each day than you consume. Example: If you burn 2000 calories each day just by existing, and burn 300 more through exercise, eat less that 2300 calories. Never skip breakfast. Snacks are fine as long as they are healthy. Examples: fresh fruit and veggies, rice crisps, peanuts, yogurt, etc...) Also, little things will help tons! Like, switch to skim milk, eat low fat yogurt, use cooking spray instead of oils, opt for the low fat foods, eat whole grain bread... All these things will help a lot. 2. Drink AT LEAST 8 (8oz) glasses of water each day. The more water you drink the better. Especially if you are working out.3. Try and do 20-40 minutes of continuous cardio exercise (jogging, speed walking, elliptical, biking) every day, at least 3 times per week (the more days you can do this, the better).4. Create a weight training schedule. Try to do some general strength training exercises at least 3 times per week. Remember, muscle burns fat. There is NO QUICK EASY way to lose your fat. You are going to have to do it THE HARD WAY, or forget it. That means a lean diet of mainly fruits and vegetables, lots of planned exercise and if you cannot find the answers on the internet, then go to the YMCA and enroll in their classes. Or hire a trainer if you have not the resolve to do it on your own. And cut out ALL soft drinks and other sugars. I swam off 30 pounds over a period of 3 months, but it took 2 miles of swimming every week, without fail.

One thing that brought my dieting and losing weight out of the plateau I was in so long was the Acai Berry. DEFFINATLY thats what im doing. Its all about eating healthy and when you eat unhealthy stuff eat it in small small portions. excersize everyday! swimming over the summer is a good way of excersize! playing tennis, running in the park, jumping on a trampoline. will all help. you need to take a time everyday where you will work out hard for an hour. and try to take a walk or run everyday. :) an easy wway to tone calfs is by doing these cheer workouts- heel ups, bicycle legs and superman. ask a cheerleader how to do them or go to american cheerleader.com. also seventeen mag has good excersizes and tipps

Thsi simple answer is exercise... if you exercise and eat low fat foods, your body will change. I know it s not fun and it s nothing new, but it works.

Am I losing too much water weight too fast? -

this is my own diet :I am curently on a diet my self and i lost 24 lbs since Jan 20 until today March 13.I cut out all the bad things out of my diet that i felt are holding me back:- sweets-bread-pasta-rise-pop-juice ( too much sugar in store brand) make ur own freshly squeezedat home**** eat veggies with every mean**** i stopped eating after 8 pm**** eat 3 main meals**** snack inbetween ( fruits, yougurt, powerbar)****drink alot of freshly squeezed lemon juice with warm water****ALOT OF WATER!!it might sound like alot of work but its really notfisrt couple days are a lil hard but your body adjusts to it in no time remember its all about will powerwish you luck

You don t really need to bother trying to lose weight yet. As you grow and hit puberty your body will elongate and regulate giving you a more proportionate shape. You just have to wait it out. For now, even if you do try a weight loss program you will still have the belly fat. It s just the way your body is when you re so young. You ll catch up to your friends soon.My advice, ask you parents to buy healthier foods and get off yahoo answers and play outside! Be active!

People keep calling me fat and its really getting to me?? -

Okay, i know i m fat. I m 15, and I ve been on a stable supervised healthy weight loss diet for two months and have lost 37 pounds so far. My diet is probably the greatest thing thats ever happened to me. But everytime I get called fat, or get made fun of, I just get the urge to not eat at all. Food doesnt even matter to me anymore. I know its not healthy to not eat, and could mess with my metabolism so i m trying to ignore those feelings but i m having a hard time with it. How do i get over the things people are saying to me? It s almost like i m disgusted with myself, although i m losing my weight the way i m supposed to..

tell those people that you don t like it and they should stop (ask them if they have a fat or very chubby child, will they call it fat or let other call it fat.) Don t worry, I am fat too and lots of people like me and some call me fat cause of jealously. Hey I think I m starting to like you, you are one fine girl.

it is a really awesome thing that you are taking care of yourself. you should feel really accomplished 37 pounds is A LOT! the only people who say those mean things to you are the ones who aren t comfortable in their own skin. ignore their remarks because their just shouting out how insecure they are. people like that are the ones who end up unhappy in the end. but if they go to far tell them off and never ever let them see they got to you because then they win. when they say a remark just tell them to back off and get a life.

You re doing what you should be doing, so you shouldn t let what other people say to you get to you. I know that s harder said than done, but many people (unfortunately) only see what they want to see - mainly someone s physical flaws and shortcomings.You should be proud of yourself, not disgusted with yourself! Look what you ve accomplished already!

Dont ; listen to them, my dietricitian says that you can eat as much meat, protein, that stuff as you want, but cut out the carbs, of course that may be different than a muscle diet but keep try, they dont know your life or what you may have been through

Stick with the diet and visualize what you ll look like, your only 15 you have so much time. And people I knew in high school that went anorexic ended up fatter than they were in the first place because they had to gain so much to be healthy again.

its hard honey it really is i went thru it when i was youger to ...everyone always calling me faT and it really lowered my self esteem.. and that is something that is hard to build back up.... you gotta think that if you pay attention most the time people make fun of people its becuase of jealousy for something that they have no matter what it is....dont let someone put out your candle to make theres burn brighter... you will lose that weight that you wanna lose and that will show that you happen to have more self controll then they do... keep it up kk
