Is this is a healthy weight loss routine?!? -

soccer training/game twice a week, gym for an hour (weights and cardio) all other days except sunday. no drinks other than water (and the occasional drink at a party, im not gonna lie!) and no chocolate.. and just general healthy eating? the goal is to lose 7 kgs (i think thats about 15 pounds?) in 10 weeks (my year 12 formal).. just wondering if that s healthy, and if its achievable!?

It s a very healthy routine! It s also achievable, though it is ambitious so make sure you stick to your plan and don t cheat. (You can help motivate yourself by promising to allow yourself to eat all the chocolate you want for one day after your formal.)Here are some tips about the healthy eating:(1) Cook from scratch. Making pre-made foods from boxes, etc. is not very healthy. Choose your ingredients carefully, and read the labels on everything you eat. This isn t just to count calories, but to watch out for really bad stuff like saturated and trans fats, and to make sure you get the good stuff.(2) If you re working your body as hard as you said, you need your nutrition more than ever. Really make sure you eat lots of fish and poultry for protein, and lots of fruits and vegetables for vitamins. Don t eat fried food. If you use oil when you cook, use olive oil. It s less fattening and it s actually good for your body and doesn t clog arteries.(3) Try to avoid restaurants. Even the salads sometimes have over 1,000 calories! Just try going to the website of your favorite chain restaurant some time and look at the nutrition info (it s usually on the website). You ll be amazed at how much fat and how many calories are in some things!!Good luck!

It s definitely a healthy fat loss routine. Don t forget that all that training will help you build muscle mass which weighs more than fat. You may not see the numbers on the scale move but you will be losing inches and seeing results in your shape. Good luck!

it sounds like a healthy way to live but I don t know about weight loss. It all depends on how much room ya have to lose. if you only have 15 lbs of body fat then your body isn t going to want to give it up too easy. If ya have 80 lbs of body fat then ya might be able to lose it easier with the increased activity and healthy eating. Definetly a good plan though. hope it works for ya.

Abs diet or Dukans diet? which one is better for healthier weight loss? -

I lost lot of kilos last year with this Dukans diet but gained everything again when i started eating normal - I found out this Abs diet wher you can add some carbs - like whole grain breads and rise - even strawberries and blueberries - which are forbitten in Pierre Dukan - also almonds and beans which are believed to be fattening are allowed too! Before starting another diet I would like to think twice cause i dont want to make another yo-yo - if you understand me :)

i know that if you want your abs to look good you have to eat 6 portions a day....that will make the billy fat go away.

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart.However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. I recommend jogging in the morning before breakfast for about 20 minutes, this burns fat already stored in the body! Follow that up with breakfast. Eat every 2-3 hours and eat healthy foods such as: whole grains, oatmeal, eggs, cottage cheese, natural peanut butter, green veggies, whey protein, tuna, lean meats like chicken. Diets don t work people! Cut out the crap food, such as candy, fast food, sugar, etc. Every now and than is okay, but not constant; as long as 70 percent of the food you put in your body is healthy and nutritious, than you can get away with the other 30 percent. Also, cut down on your carbohydrates a lot, this helps to lose pure body fat. Good luck. But remember, if you cut out the foods you desire completely, you may relapse. I m not kidding, so remember, every now and than is fine.

I wish you had posted your present workout plan, but I can give you some tips to get you too the next phase of fitness.If you can do LISS(low intensity steady state), early morning easy walking, even on a treadmill for 40mins on an empty stomach, you will burn fat, while holding onto your LBM(lean body mass), which is the key for you to burning fat. Always remember, if you do cardio and weights correctly, you will hold onto LBM, so you can burn fat. If you do things like run on a day you lift weights, you will burn up muscle, a no no, so always choose LISS early morning and 20mins after weights. If you want to run, or do run intervals,only run on days you don t lift weights.....so again, you hold onto muscle.For meals, you should be eating 5-6meals per day, protein/carbs/healthy fats(I wonder why you cut out complex carbs?) They are what supports energy building for LBM, along with protein and healthy fats.....so you boost your metabolism all day. You need to have the proper ratios to support LBM. Eat things like lean steak, grilled chicken breast, tuna, 1-yolk with 2 whites, toast, oatmeal, potatoes, cheerios, olive oil lightly drizzeled over your salad, 4 walnuts, danon light yogurt....with these choices, you can form 5-6 small meals or 2 as snacks easily!If you can eat properly to support LBM, and ignore the scale weight, you will look terrific! For me, weight maintenance, while not a struggle, requires a routine. I do not work out. I hate exercise. I do however walk to where I need to go when necessary, consume a food group rich with protein, ie: fish, eggs, cottage cheese, lo sugar non fat yogurt,whole grain breads, baked potatoes, green leafy veggies, turnips, mustard s, collard, lean beef, occasional pork steak, asian veggies, green peppers stuffed with lean hamburger brown rice, flavored with garlic, salt and pepper, and baked with tomato sauce, cabbage rolls stuffed with the same meat/rice combo. Shishkabobs are fun, easy to make, I love sliced tomatoes, and raw fruit. I have been maintaining my weight of 130# for years with little difficulty. I avoid ice creams, most sweets, but do indulge in an occasional donut. Anyone can do this. Rationalization is not acceptable. Oh, and a light beer or two once a week.

well if you work out regularly and cut out sugar and carbs, you should be all set. So where s the big mystery? LoL. For me, I stopped drinking soda, eating fast food, etc completely and did a lot of walking every day and over the course of about 4 months lost over 50 lbs.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don t over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!Don t look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.Good luck and stick at it. The best way to loose weight is to eat healthily, exercise and dont over eat. If you have the money join a gym and get a personal trainer - theyre there to help you not just with the work out but to offer help and advice on diet ect. DO NOT do crash dieting as that will damage your health more than being over weight will.

Join a gym, eat in moderation, and eat better food.
