I take Solo Slim and Im still hungry - am I doing something wrong? -

I have PCOS (polycystic ovarian syndrome) and as a result, I have a huge appetite that has caused me to gain weight. I lost 110 pounds over the course of two years and gained about 20 back in the past year as a result of PCOS and thyroid problems. I said all that because I don t need the just diet and exercise! answers. I KNOW how to diet and exercise. Right now I m in great need of a good appetite suppressant because I m hungry all the time.I took another pill (that I won t mention here) that gave me heart palpitations but did curb my appetite. I needed to stop taking it though because I was afraid of the long term effects. Anyway, I found a lot of reviews about Solo Slim and decided to order it.I actually ordered Solo Slim Extra Strength for about $50 because the reviews on all websites (MSN, Amazon, Yahoo, and lots more) were amazing. But I ve been MORE hungry! I felt like I couldn t get enough to eat. Am I doing something wrong? I take it 20 minutes before breakfast. My appetite has been completely unaffected. Can anyone offer some advice?Does anyone know of a good appetite suppressant? It upsets me that my doctor won t give me anything. He put me on birth control (Yaz) and that s all. Look - I used to weigh 306 pounds. I painstakingly lost 110 pounds doing the LA Weight Loss program. It upsets me that my body seems to be gaining weight and I m hungry all the time, and there is nothing I can do about it. I refuse to be in that small group of people who have metabolic problems that make them gain weight category unless I absolutely have to be. I didn t go to all that trouble of losing weight only to have my body rebel against me. I don t know what s wrong with me. If I don t take something to keep the hunger down, it feels like there is a monster living inside me that can t get enough food.

Believe me, I do understand your frustration. I feel like I m ravenous all the time, even after a meal. It s ridiculous but nothing has worked to control it except Fastin. Unfortunately, it will also, like the pill that you won t mention, cause heart palpitations. I take half the dose and that seems to help. I seem to have better control of how much and how often I eat. A lot of these appetite suppressants are just marketing. There s really nothing in them or too little of an ingredient in them to do any good. Your Solo Slim Extra Strength may be one of them. I doubt you re doing anything wrong. Here s my plan, and maybe something like this will work for you too. I take the regular dose of Fastin in the morning after breakfast. About 15 minutes before eating lunch, I take a pill called Akavar 20/50. It doesn t work all that great on its own but the Fastin that I took after breakfast is still working somewhat. At dinner time, I take one Fastin. So far, it seems to be making a difference. I don t want to risk any long term effects so I m taking these diet aids for about 6 weeks. I ll stop taking them for 2 weeks, then take them again (if necessary) for another 4 weeks. This gives my body time to get used to eating reduced calories. It also seems to be helping me in my food choices. I m not craving candy right now, or greasy chips. I m craving salads! Well, even if this doesn t sound like something you would want to try, I would suggest you at least try half a dose of the pill that you were taking and just don t use them long term. Good luck.

Its been 2 days, my Muscles are still Sore, can i lift weights again today?... please help?? -

i did some squats, lunges, bench presses, tricep extensions, bicep curls, sit ups, shoulder presses and side bends (with 5lb weights on each hand) 2 days ago...my body still feels kinda sore, especially my thighs and shoulders, although yesterday was worse...i was told to allow a one day break in between training, it s been 2 days now, so should i wait until the soreness goes away, or can i do my weight training today? is it harmful to do weight training when the muscles are still sore even if it s been 2 or 3 days?i m kind of a beginner, i ve been lifting on and off for nearly two months and doing cardio...my aim is fat loss rather than muscle gain, so i m on a high protein diet with a 500kcal defeicit as well, to make sure i lose maximum fat and minimum muscle while on my weight loss program. I m not overweight, my BMI is 23, but I have a body fat percentage of 28.5%...I need to lift weights and eat my proteins to make sure my metabolism stays high, coz i have a long way to go :)

5 lb weights are a good place to start. But if you were that sore, making you want to take an extra day off, you may be starting off by doing too many sets. Kinda sore is OK to work out. What you feel is growth happening if you are lifting correctly with proper body mechanics and not cheating to get in that extra rep. Don t compromise form or you could get hurt (pull a muscle).Consulting a trainer for a week would help a lot. He/she will get you started properly and answer all your questions. One week won t cost too much and may save you a trip to the doctor s office....

You should be fine to workout now. You should break your routine down to body parts rather than do everything in one day.workout A, circuit training: do 3 sets for 12-15 reps for each exercise..with very little rest in between. This will keep your heartrate up to burn cals and fat more efficiently.day 1: bench press...move to...lat pulldown... then squats (rest 2 minutes) then repeat all exercises until you have completed 3 sets.day 2: restday 3: same as day oneday 4: restday 5 same as day 1 and 2the next week do the same, but change your exercises (flyes, seated back row, lunges).workout B circuiting training, no resting.day 1: chest and back (do 3 different exercises for each body part. but alternate. chest then back..rest for no more than 30 seconds or do a set of crunches...repeat 3 times..then move to the next chest and back exercise.day 2: restday 3: shoulders and legs...do the same, alternate from a shoulder exercise to a leg exercise...3 sets of 12-15 reps...rest 2 minutes...move on to the next set of excercises.day 4: restday 5: biceps and triceps... same as day 1 and 3good luck in whatever you do !!!!!

Yes go ahead and do your weight training today. Stretch out good before and after every time you do it to minimize the soreness. Training with sore muscles is fine After your muscles get used to the training you won t get sore anymore.Chances are after you do it today you will be less sore tomorrow then if you don t.

As long as it is soreness and not pain then it s time to hit the weights and get your workout in. You should not be on a high protein diet without doctor approval. It s most likely you are just passing the protein as waste. High protein diets can tax your kidneys and liver. The affect is even worse if your also on medications that tax the liver(pain killers, chloesterol meds, antidepressants, etc.)A carbohydrate rich diet would be better. As long as your not diabetic or there are other reasons you can t do carb rich. A good ratio is 60% carbs, 20% protein, and 20% fats.Make sure you get enough water. Look into superhydration. it sounds like a lot of water but is real easy to do.You can also reduce your calories all the way to 1500 a day, gradually.

The harder you trained, the higher the degree of sore muscles you will experience. By the looks of it, you push your limits really hard. If you are having a hard time with the pain then DO NOT lift weights as it may greatly increase the risk if injury and you cannot effectively do your weight lifting programs as well thus producing a dangerous and ineffective work out results. You do not have to wait for the pain to disappear 100%. When the soreness becomes a nuisance rather than a hindrance to proper exercise then you go back to the gym.On and off training style is pretty useless. Stay focus and determined. Results would be visible by the 3rd month.Always remember not to overdo your stuff. You might think that you are fast forwarding results and you are doing yourself a favor. Well that is very wrong. Your body can tolerate enough stress and can produce results in its own pace.

yes you can lift as long as u know your not hurting or straining yourselfdrink some protein shakes to help u heal up faster and makes ur work out more effective=joe

Help trying to loose weight getting frustrated....? -

I started trying to loose weight 03/01/2008, working out 3 days a week, eating right etc. By April I hadn t noticed any weight loss and further more had seemed to gain weight. I started intensifying my workouts 45 mins of cardio 4 days a week and alternate weight training, kept the same eating habits, even checked with my doctor to make sure my thyroids and everything were ok. Also started taking One a day weight smart. It s now May and I m starting to notice a SLIGHT difference but not as much as I feel I should for as hard as Ive been working to get this weight off. As of now I use the elliptical and do the weight loss program which is a 30 min program of intervals, then I jogg or walk and extra 15 mins to make the 45 mins Im getting so frustrated because it seems to me I should have lost the most weight the first month or two and started to plateau now and it seems I ve done the opposite. Any advice? What am I doing wrong? What can I do different?

You are not doing anything wrong, lose the scale, instead, turn to the tape measure, honestly it sounds like you have been gaining muscle, thats what happens.

Thanks, your answer seems to be correct. I had been weighing all the time and only measured once when I first started. After reading your comment I went a purchased my own tape measurer and discovered I had lost about 5 inches from my waist alone. The scale was definatly getting me in trouble. Report Abuse

better u can go to a run every mornig. atleast 10 rounds. insted of rice u can have roties vt any curry thats has less carbohydrates. and dont stop running if u start and stop u will gain more weight. hope so u will reduse ur weight.

What is a healthy weight loss goal? -

I m 17, 5 5 , and 180lbs. My calculated ideal body weight is 130lbs. I m not looking to be skinny i like some curves so what is a healthy goal for the New Year? Thats about 5 and a half months from now.

Usually, to lose a pound, you have to expend 3500 more calories than you eat. Some calories you burn just by daily living, but exercise will help speed that up. Then, a diet with lean meat, fruits and veggies is great. Hold off on the soda, chips, french fries, etc. You should be able to safely expend 500 more calories a day than you eat, that equates to one pound a week. (It will be quicker with more intense exercise). So, in 5 and a half months, you should be able to lose 25-30 pounds easily. Good Luck

What can i Expect When losing Alot of Weight? -

So i weigh approximetaly 340 ibs and am 5ft 11 inches ; but i am what you would call WELL , meaning that i can easily carryout daily tasks without fatigue; i am pretty Able for my size. and fast :)so i am now planning to undergo a lifestyle change centered around a healthy weight loss goal; my goal is around 180-195.i have no doubt i can get there, and i have a solid plan of action, so i was wondering what Physical and Psyciological changes i can expect during this weight losing; i.e. More confidence i wasn t aware i lacked?, will i grow a bit taller?, Will my Arms grow longer?, Facial features? skin tone?, etc................................I am wondering because i would have a big change of diet to extremely nutritios foods, and it is in my genes to get even taller and stuf.you may list them like positive symyoms :)Thanx.

You may expect to be more active than before, your clothes will be changed you can go to beach without shame or shyness, you will look taller; because of the changed active ratio, the layers of fat will go away and muscle will replace them, danger of heart attackes will be reduced, any elevated cholestrol levels will be corrected.

i know you ll find a whole new you, image, clothing, new wardrobe-plus confidence, just dont turn into a jerk.

gall stones.

as hard as it is to imagine, you ll feel better. A lot better. All the time. You won t be very hungry, and you ll be full after a small meal. You won t want to drink extremely sugary drinks, or eat really fatty foods. Being that big you might have some extra skin left over though. Good luck with this. I wouldn t call anyone who s 340 lbs well.

Any quick weight loss tips? How to get great body like model in TV? -

I saw a lot of commercials in tv. But i wonder which one is working the best? I want to have body like the model in TV.

Ab belts, ab-rockers, ab-loungers, and other infomercial ab-gimmicks... they re all a complete waste of your time and money. Despite the misleading infomercials, the perfectly chiseled fitness models in the commercials did NOT get their perfect body by using that ab contraption ... they got their perfect body through REAL workouts and REAL nutrition strategies. you ll learn some of their secrets and what really works below.http://howtolosestubbornbellyfattips.blogspot.com/

Most people do not have the genetic predisposition to look like tv models...do not be fooled by unrealistic body image. This is how eating disorders begin.Basic rule of thumb...eats less move more.BUT moderation is essential...fad diets destroy metabolism and ultimately make you FAT.

1) Drink caffinated coffee 30 mins BEFORE working out2) Eat All Bran cereal with skim milk(200 calories right there and very high in Fiber)3) Eat Chillie and one fried plantain4)Drink lots of water5) Work out 5 complete days a week, especially cardio6) Rest in the evening by either skipping dinner or drinking skim again(90 calories)Do this religiously and you will get there

exercise regularly.....am a physical education student n my sir has told us to either gain or lose , accord. to our present weight... n for that he told to exercise(for losing weight) or dieting....but he said exercising n dieting should not go together because it will make u weak..mmm....hope it works-- ALL THE BEST

The ONLY way to get a body like that is to earn it, work it feed it the right foods. No other pill, cream, lotion in the world can make you look like you want. Good Luck! No pain, no gain
