You might think about trying this book called The Movie Star Diet by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn t think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

go to gym and for a morning walk and drinking a lot of water before going for gym or for a walk .. u can get but not oily food not much oiled food it not help in this thing...!

You ve probably heard this a thousand times, but to lose weight quickly, eat healthy foods! Be sure to get all your food groups in there, without over-doing it.The best thing to do is eat when you are hungry, and don t eat when you re not hungry.Maybe try running 3 miles but only do it about 3 or 4 times a week. Do yoga and crunches when you re not running but add an evening walk around the neighborhood. When I do that I start out with a nice relaxing walk, and then speed up, until I m in a jog, and when I get tired I slow back down and repeat the cycle. The main thing is to stay away from junk food, and excersise.

Step 1: Find out what your basal metabolic rate is. Goto http://health.discovery.com/tools/calcul This is the amount of calories you need to eat to maintain your current weight. Step 2: Do you exercise? Do you exercise right? Exercising right means that you monitor your heart rate and make sure that you reach your target heart rate and maintain it for the longest period of time while exercising. You have two targets a fat burn zone and an cardiovascular zone. The fat burn is usually 60% of your maximum an d is easier to achieve and maintain and if your goal is weight loss this is where you want to be. Just walking/excising is a good start but if you want to get the most out of your work out find out what your target range is. If you don t belong to a gym then I recommend the Polar Fitness F11 Heart Monitor Watch.Step 3: You need to decrease your caloric intake or increase the amount of calories your body uses in a day by 500 calories a day for a week to lose 1 pound. So you can decrease that basal number you got in step 1 by 500 calories and exercise very little(yes you still need to exercise). Or you can decrease it by 250 and exercise off 250 calories or any other combination. Remember that your basal number is the amount of calories you body needs to live. If your number were 2400 then your body burn 100 calories per hour. So if you walk for half an hour and burn 300, 50 of that is your basal. Step 4: Count your calories, it s not hard and you ll find out that you eat a lot of the same things on a daily basis so you won t have to research everything over and over again. Balance what you eat(equal parts carbs and protien whenever possible) . One of the best websites out there is one from the FDA. http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/This database has almost every food on the planet counted and weighed. (Hint: they do a lot of their weights based on 100grams. If you put 0.28 in the serving size this equals 1 ounce). Get a reliable food scale, preferably digital. Weigh everything that you put in your mouth that is not prepackaged. You need to know what youre eating and how much youre eating. The number one mistake is eating healthy . Everyone thinks because it s healthy the portion isn t that important. A handful of peanuts is healthy and has nearly 250 calories! Eat enough calories and it wont matter how healthy it is your going to gain weight. Great ideas for people on the go are: South Beach Raisin Granola Bar, Snickers Marathon Multi-Grain Crunch(Wal-Mart diet aid aisle), Snickers Marathon Protein Caramel Nut Rush(Wal-Mart diet aid aisle)Step 5: Adjustments and Variety. If you are doing your best and losing weight but your starving, increase the amount of calories your giving yourself by 100-200 calories a day. Losing weight and starving are not good bedfellows. If you starve eventually you will crack and lose the battle. The more types of exercises you do the more weight you will lose. You will work more muscles and keep your body guessing. Step 6(optional): If you belong to a gym or have some free weights at home. Use them! Muscle takes up less space in your body than fat (pound for pound). A pound of fat sits around and does nothing all day, while a pound of muscle, even at rest burns calories(increasing your basal metabolic rate). Step 7: Sleep, Never underestimate the power of a goodnight sleep. Will power can crumble in a second if your going through your day tired. You end up with a diminished sense of self control and tend to give in to temptation. Step 8: Find a distraction. Read a book, Ride a bike, Play a game. Whatever takes your mind off of food, do it. You will need something that you can turn to in a moment of weakness. Something that will distract you for a half an hour so that your will can reassert itself and help you to make a rational decision. Good luck!!!

I am so angry about my inability to lose weight that I genuinely hate myself. Weight loss programs are for the -

wealthy, how can someone on a budget that barely allows gas for the car afford to lose weight? I take medication that causes dramatic weight gain ( no I can not stop taking it ) and on our budget we have to buy what we can afford, healthy foods are a lot more expensive than bargain foods. It s not fair that everything from meat( the cheaper it is the higher the fat content) to fresh friuts and vegatables ( very expensive to buy) are too expensive for a family on a very tight budget to buy regularly. Believe me, when we buy healthy foods we get less than half of the food that we need for the week. In order to feed our family we have to get what we can afford and its garbage. And all of the advertisements for weight loss programs where people lose large amounts of weight in a healthy way are way out of reach for me, the cost unbelievable. Does anyone know of a way I can safely lose weight that wont break our budget? I want to do it right, I dont want my daughter to see me starve myself.

I don t consider losing weight the right way as losing it on a weight loss program. If you can t buy health food use portion control with the food you do buy. You don t have to starve, you just have to know when and how to eat what you have available. Most important to losing is exercise. You didn t mention any inability to do a regular work out routine so go for walks, jogs, bike rides, take yourself and your kids swimming if entry to a park pool is not too expensive. There might be a cheap aerobic video at a retail store that can help you stay fit. Don t rule anything out. Make sure you are drinking lots of water to stay hydrated and the more you drink the less hungry you will feel so the better you can control your portions. I know this will sound stupid, but please don t hate your body. When you act positively towards it you get more positive results out of it.

The best and cheapest way to lose weight is to exercise. No excuses. Go outside (if your community is safe) and walk everyday, for 30 minutes. Or if you re tight on time, divide the 30 minutes into 15 minutes twice a day. Just get your heart pumping. Also, if you live around a highly-concentrated Asian community, I recommend looking for an Asian supermarket nearby. There will be a large amount of produce at a cheaper price, and I believe even the meat/poultry is cheaper.

You take a medication that causes weight gain so your inability to lose weight is not entirely on your shoulders. I understand about having a tight budget and having to buy cheaper foods in order to make it thru the month. Frozen fruits and veggies are not as expensive as fresh and are just as healthy. And if your family is drinking whole milk you can gradually step down to 2%, then 1% and it won t cost any more than you already spend. But the best thing to do is to start paying attention to your serving size and cut back on your portions. Most people eat way more than they think bc they eat huge portions of food. And start exercizing if you don t already. You don;t have to join a gym, you can take a walk around the block with your family and it won t cost you anything but a few minutes of your time.

I know what you mean. For me the answer has been portion control and making small changes. Start by eating on a smaller plate (it sounds silly, but it helps), and you can go back for more if you want it. Drink plenty of water, aim for 10 cups per day, and drink some water and wait 10 minutes when you feel hungry, so that you don t mistake thirst for hunger (it happens a lot) I also try to eat a small salad(just some lettuce, which is cheap, croutons, tomato slices or cherry tomatoes and low fat dressing) before I eat dinner, it helps fill me up with veggies.Get your daughter involved in you being more active, like going for walks together, that way you help her to have healthy habits, too.You can totally do this. I ve lost 27 pounds so far,and I haven t gotten onto any diet. You can do it, too!

To successfully lose weight, you must carry outa plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionallybalanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity. I found useful informations at

just try eating a LITTLE bit less..don t starve yourself, but monitor the intake. Also, start exercising!! you don t need a weightloss program, you just need to get moving. thats the best way. especially if you can t eat healthy foods. take your daughter for a walk with you everyday and do squats while you are watching tv or whatever...you don t need $$ to lose weight, so don t let that be an excuse. and veggies aren t expensive...so stick to chicken and pork and lots of veggies!

Please don t starve yourself! That will be no good...I m a little angry about my little plateau in my weight loss, but I ll have to say, exercising has really helped me out alot.Omit Sugar, Bread, and Soda s for about a month and drink nothing but water or tea sweetened with splenda. I assure that you will notice a change.Try to get in more steps during the day. Whether its cleaning, scrubing, raking or mowing, or even walking in the park with your kids. Dedicate twenty minutes a day to cardio. (Jump n Jacks, Running, Jogging in place, etc.) This will speed up your metabolism.Drinking a few glasses of green tea or taking one green tea tablet a day will also speed up your metabolism and help you lose weight.Take time for yourself. They say that stress causes your body to hold on to weight. So relax and take some deep breaths during the day. Maybe read or have a relaxing bubble bath. Also look online for Yoga poses or check out a book or video on Yoga from the Library. This doesn t take much effort at all and it is very good for you. Its mainly stretching and breathing.I hope these help!

how you cook is as important as what you cook. I know the high fat hamburger is cheaper, so cook the hamburger and rinse it with hot water to get rid of most of the fat. Chicken should be skinned, the skin is basically pure fat. Canned veggies are cheaper, ok, be sure to rinse the vegies, don t cook them in the fluid in the can, and don t butter them. Weigh your portions, limit your meat to 5 ounces in one day, get in six servings of fruit or veggies, canned is ok as long as you rinse them before eating them. Measure your pasta, eat only one cup at a time and be sure to once again rinse the pasta before you eat it. By rinsing and weighing your portions, you can eat cheaply and lose weight.

in honesty, reading your post is very discouraging. it sounds like your mind is already made up. you re right that healthy foods are slightly more expensive--but there are alternatives. you could join a co-op or start a vegetable garden. these are long term, obviously.as to your meds--i used to be on zyprexa and i gained a TON of weight. the only thing that helped me lose it was getting onto a different med. the fact is, drugs that depress the metabolism and have sedation as a component cannot be overcome by willpower and diet alone. even if you had a billion dollars to spend on dieting, you d be stuck. talk to your doctor about adding a med to increase your metabolism or trying a different med all together.also, you must begin to do strenuous exercise. this doesn t require a gym, just lots of motivation, an attitude adjustment and patience.

I, too am trying to lose weight on a budget. My best suggestion is, first, to work out and burn the calories you re consuming. Second, try not to eat junk food/fast food at all. I get most of my vegetables from the frozen section (not quite as many vitamins, but as long as you don t get the buttered up kinds it s pretty healthy). If you re making boxed meals use non-fat milk (same price as whole usually) and substitute out as much oil/butter as you can. Have you thought about investing in a garden of your own? Exercise portion control and drink lots of water, because a lot of times people think they re hungry when they re dehydrated. See if there s a local group that helps low income families, so you can get some staples from them and budget for fruit/veggies. If you re kids go to school make sure and try and qualify them for free lunches so they can get some nutrition there.

i truely feel for you and your situation finacially... sometime a double cheeseburger is the fastest cheapest option.... it really really sucks that the odds are stacked against you...for fast weight loss... you have to supplement on top eating well and excercise...make sure you take a good multivitaminand maybe consider a thermogenic fat burner pillalso green tea and lots of water is good.but if its quick weight loss, then hoodia pills are the way to go, as featured on oprah and 60 minutes....i have tired many different types of hoodia including gordonii you can buy these online but some online stores are suspect so be extra careful. i have personally had better results with hoodia+green teas so i highly reccommend it.i think you should try out green-tea hoodia alsoyou can save alot of money by using the free trial offers offered by most vendors like these below (i only have to pay shipping like 6 bucks)...http://bytead.com/free-7days-hoodia/http://bytead.com/free-15days-hoodia/sometime they might try to get you to buy more so read the terms carefully... overall this will be a temporary way to get over a weightloss plateau... but it will work...take care :)

What exercises can I do to help lose weight with a back injury? -

I have bulging discs and chronically degenerative discs in my lower back ( S1, L3,L4,L5). I have been told not to do anything by my doctor, (It has been 8 weeks now), but I am rapidly putting on weight, any suggestions about gentle exercises that will help me lose the extra kilos whilst I have this injury. I have started a weight loss program, but I need some exercise..... Please help..

Here are six simple tips that will have you losing weight in a balanced and healthy way.1. Lose weight with water.Water is essential for everybody - it is also the key to losing weight. If you haven t been drinking enough water, your body has developed a pattern of storing water. This water retention equals extra unwanted weight.By drinking more water, you are not only flushing out toxins, you are also teaching your body that it no longer needs to store water. Drink at least 60 ounces of water (about 8 glasses) a day. Boil water and sliced lemons, and drink this throughout the day to help with fluid retention. If you are still not sold on the merits of water, try this on for size: water is a natural appetite suppressant.2. Soup up your weight loss program.A simple dietary change will have you shedding pounds: eat a bowl of soup at least once a day. Nutritious, low-salt soups will nourish you as they flush waste from your body. People who eat a serving of soup daily lose more weight than those who eat the same amount of calories but don t eat soup. Go for homemade soup whenever possible, as canned soups are loaded with salt and chemicals.3. Eat early to keep weight off.The human body follows a circadian rhythm, which means that the same foods eaten at breakfast and lunch are processed differently than when eaten at dinner. Studies show that when you eat your daily protein and fat at breakfast you tend to lose weight and have more energy; however, eating the same things at dinner tend to increase tendencies toward weight gain. I suggest that you eat your last meal of the day by 7 p.m.4. Eat smaller meals, more frequently.Follow an eating schedule with five little meals every day. Eating steadily through the day keeps you from becoming famished and overeating at your next meal. Make a low-fat trail mix from raw almonds, pumpkin seeds, dried plum, and apples and have it available at all times to avoid the tempting lure of high-calorie snacks.5. Adopt a balanced approach to your diet. Most of the fad diet programs out there nowadays are extreme in a few recommended foods, or else deprive the body of food altogether. This works in opposition to our metabolism and the results usually don t last, producing a yoyo effect that depresses your metabolic function - not to mention your self-esteem. We are natural beings that need a balance of nutrition from all sources.Your diet should consist of a balance of organic sources of lean protein, complex carbohydrates, whole grains, legumes, nuts, fruits, and vegetables. Instead of white rice and pasta, opt for brown rice, bulgur, millet, or buckwheat.Eat more green, chlorophyll-rich foods such as broccoli, kale, spinach, and asparagus. Eliminate candy, sugar, soda, and all simple sugars from your diet. Excess sugar ends up being stored as fat in your body, which results in weight gain. Also, keep dairy to a minimum because most dairy products are high in saturated fat. Avoid fatty foods, processed or fried foods.6. Walk off the weight. The No. 1 cause of weight gain is inactivity. Physical activity is the key to speeding up your metabolism and burning excess calories. The best way to be physically active is to use your legs! Walk as often and as long as you can. Always take the stairs instead of the elevator.Step outside during your break at work and take a walk around your building. Consider joining a local hiking club. Try taking a walk 30 minutes in the morning or 30 minutes in the early evening.I hope this article helps you shed some pounds and add on the years! My Sister fractured her lower back last May and, as she was always so active, it was horrid to watch her unable to run or do any sports. You really do need medical advice but now, 8 months later, she is allowed to swim for a little (she uses a kickboard for the first 10 or so lengths for her abs) and run gently on grass. She didn t really take the doctors advice initially which has caused problems in that it has taken longer to heal. A physio will always be your best bet and wouldn t advise doing anything until you get the ok from them. Good luck!

How can i lose weight quickly? -

my family is emotionally and verbally abusive and i have deeply considered anerexia. i dont like my body anymore. i weigh 127 pounds and im 5 6 . i know people say models are unaturally skinny but at least they pull it off. im 13 years old, suggestions?

Hey, we re the same age! :D ...Sorry, that was randomSome advice:Looks: Mirrors and scales could be misleading. When you go on the scale after exercising for a while (don t expect too much in a small amount of time), you may discover that you actually gained weight--- that s because your muscles weigh more than fat (just in case you didn t know) :)Exercise: Try walking (it has been proven to be really effective) and jump rope, too.Sleep: I would suggest that you also give yourself plenty of rest (one burns calories while sleeping!) Stress could also add weight.Food: DON T EAT TOO LITTLE!! The main point of exercising is to get muscles because muscles use up a lot of calories (thus you get skinnier). But if you eat too little, your body will eat your muscles, so all those exercises were for nothing...Eat lots of vegetables and healthy things without a lot of oil. Don t forget meat.Drink lots of cold water (you lose calories because it lowers the stomach s temp.-- it tries to raise the temp. again-- uses up energy)

Posted this elsewhere, posting it again :you need a 2000 cal diet minimum every day. remember, its also what you eat. Here are a few tips:1.) Run on the streets every morning for around 20 mins on an empty stomach. This is very effective in cutting out fat.2.) try to do 100 crunches a day.3.) drink lots and lots of water.4.) keep the last meal of the day very light and at least an hour before you go to bed.

Sometimes very low calorie diets dont work. I wouldn t say they don t work at all because some models are reallly skinny cause they probably eat very little a day.

You do not need to lose weight. Talk to a counselor at your school about your issues, but needing to lose weight is not one of them.
