Weight loss program help...? -

I am 14, 5 6 and 180 pounds. I would like to get my weight down to about 160-165 before the new year. Then i would like to get it down to 140 around June. What would be some ideas for losing weight. I thought about ridding my bike about 2 miles a day when i get home from school. Would this be a good idea and what else should i do. Thanks.
