The Alli weight loss program? -

I just recently bought the Alli weight loss program, and when I try to register it online, it tells me that my BMI would be too low, but in all honesty, it wouldnt be. How do I fix that. Who else got the program and is having problems on the website? How do I fix it?

I got the program and I m taking the pills... I didn t bother with the website because I don t think that part matters. It s a good sysem though.... I m already seeing improvements and all those yucky side effects are overstated.

Sure thing... I m doing the best I can with it.Feel free to contact me.~A Report Abuse

I didn t register but I guess you could fib about the answers. It is mainly for obese people, not just those who need to loose a few pounds. So if you only need to loose 10-15 pounds you shouldn t be trying it and I guess that s what it might be telling you.

How can I lose weight quickly? -

I have always been in good shape, I was a dancer and a cheerleader all through high school..I also played volleyball on a rec league..I want to know how I can get my body back relatively quickly since I just had my first child..since its summertime, I feel very self concious about my body now..my husband continues to tell me how hot and sexy and beautiful I am but I don t see it myself..I want to look good this summer and I want to get back in shape so I can be healthy for my daughter..what should I do since I don t have too much time in the day to work out because of my daughter and going to work??

Losing weight is a simple equation: if you burn more calories than you eat, the weight will come off. Start off by estimating how many calories you burn each day using the daily calorie needs calculator http://calorieneedscalculator.com This will give you an idea of how many calories to eat. Healthy weight loss is 1-2 pounds per week. To lose 1 pound per week you need to create a calorie deficit (burn more than you eat) of 500 calories per day. To lose 2 pounds a week, you have to double the deficit to 1000 calories per day. You can achieve this by eating less, exercising more or a combination of both.Beginner s Guide to Dieting - http://straightdiet.com

Try core exercises to tone up. Plank, superman, crunches:http://orgs.jmu.edu/strength/JMU_Summer_And do HIIT to lose fat, basically wlak/sprint:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High-intensDo core for 15 minutes a day. And the HIIT can be done 3 times a week for 15-20 minutes.

Well, you sound like you eat really well... I have a 10 month old and not a lot of time, like yourself. I actually go to Curves. It s filled with a bunch of old women (I m 23), but the workout is only 30 minutes and it totally helped me get my body back, and fast. Plus, you only have to go 3 times a week.

Eat less, more healthier foods, drink lots of water and if you cannot get to exercise, walk to wherever you go , and take stairs instead of elevators.

i wish i knew i am only 9 and i am so out of shape!

Do hospitals have weight loss programs monitored by professionals? -

And do heath insurances cover them?My mother is over 50 years old and over 100 lbs over weight. She has also had 2 injuries to her knees in the past that prevent her from doing many exercises. I know there are weight loss surgeries but I would like to encourage her to lose weight through exercise.1) do hospitals provide weight loss programs where the patients can exercise there with supervision?2) are there insurances that cover this?I m not sure what insurance my mom has but she has had the same one for many, many years through her work. How could I go about finding the info I need about the hospitals and insurance? When I try to look up info about insurance all I get is information for free quotes.

I have walked passed by what lookd like supervised excersprograms ..aboutthe insure i dont know ...if all else fails Have you tried working out with Jack? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TKCGe2Ezr

I d be happy to give you more info if you want, or just checkout their web site at www.isagenix.com it s basically a nutritional cleanse and a jump start to weight loss. tony@tonycalhoun.com

I have two knee replacements and a metal rod and screws in my back and my doctor told me to do water aerobics. Some of the big hospitals do have weight loss clinics. Some of the insurance companies do pay for these services. I had lap band and with water aerobics I am down 42 pounds and lots of inches. Find out what insurance she has and look it up on the internet and you can check out the hospital on line for their services. Look into your local city s recreational facilities, that is where I go for water aerobics, I go for the beginners class, although, most are over 70 years but they are really nice and I just love going...it is just getting there, could find a lot of reasons to stay home...

Yes, some hospitals do have weight loss programs that involve an exercise aspect. I was about 40 pounds overweight when I started the Right Weigh program at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago (I talk about my experiences on the Prevention site and my blog, listed below). They pair you up with a medical doctor, a nutritionist, a psychologist, and an exercise specialist to help you get your weight back on track. After the year-long program ended, I d lost just over 20 pounds, and I ve continued to lose since then. This program really has been the only thing that s worked for me. Although I never exercised in-house, Right Weigh did have weight machines and cardio machines for patients. For payment, I had to pay upfront, and it was up to me to contact insurance to get reimbursed. I opted not to deal with the insurance company for personal reasons. U.S. News World Report has a directory of hospitals that may help you locate one near you that has a fitness/weight-loss program. Or see if your mother s internist knows of a local hospital-based program (my doctor told me about the one I went to). Also, insurance policies vary from workplace to workplace, so it s a good idea to call the provider directly to see exactly what you re covered for. Hope this helps!

Please help me lose weight: ? -

I gained a ton of weight due to major depression and the dreaded freshman 15! Could anyone give me a good way to kick start a healthy weight loss plan and then a constant regimen I can follow. I d like to lose a good about of weight at first and then keep the loss steady there after. I am on a dance team and practice for 2hrs twice a wk. I m also fairly muscular but still larger than I want to/ am accustomed to being. I am 5 4 about 165 lbs, I used to weigh 125 and was SKINNY (because of my musculature) so I think that between 130 and 140 would be a good size for my body type. I do need to lose weight quickly for an audition as well, if I can get down to 150 ASAP and then lose the rest the right way...

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, whichwill lead to increase of weight, or muscle growunderneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet withoutexercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. Fordiet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no foodafter 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending onyour initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. Ifyou don t eat wheat then you don t eat all those sticky, fatty goeycakes, you don t eat junk food, and you don t eat biscuits. But yourdiet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have tocalculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is themost efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight alot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to targetyour problem areas for men and women. It s not necessarily to become abodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help youto target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

Sometimes you can work out like crazy and still not lose weight. And if your eating right that good but for some people finding out what works with there blood type is good also. Example, I m O negative. I should stay away from potatoes and wheat products. Potatoes i just turn to starch and wheat makes me feel run down. Look on the internet and search what i am talking about. People have lost weight doing this method. My mom did it casual and lost 30 lbs. while her friend followed it to a T and lost 80lbs.

I recommend weight watchers for sure! If you really follow the program, you will lose prolly 10 pounds pretty quick and then the rest will come off steady. You can do the meetings or the online program. It WORKS!!ALSO. Check out How to eat like a Hot Chick . Fantastic book!!!

Exercise and eat right. You are young so the weight should come off quickly once you become more active. Try walking, running or cycling daily (at least 45 mins) and change the type and intensity of your workouts in order to speed up your metabolism.

You can become a vegetarian! It is healthy for your diet, it helps you knock off pounds, and at the same time saves about 95 animals per year!

eat healthy and exercise....its that simple

Here s some weight loss tip s which you can do everyday:- Exercise 6 to 7 days a week.- And try to break your workout into two different sessions, this gives your metabolism a jolt.- Drink 6 to 8 cups of water a day. And try to drink ice cold water, it burns more calories.- Take enough vitamins, especially ones that promote weight loss (such as 1800 mg. of Fish Oil, Vitamin B Complex, Co-enzyme Q-10, ect. Do your research).- Drink green tea or take green tea pills ( it s been shown to speed up your metabolism).- For your metabolism s sake, eat within 1 hour of waking up and don t eat 3 hours before you go to bed.- Try a vegan or vegetarian diet (it worked for me :D).- Drink 12 oz. of warm lemon water (use the juice of 1/2 a lemon) with a little sea salt every morning. This will detoxify your body and make your skin look amazing.- Or, if giving up meat just isn t your thing, just count calories. Try to have around 1200 a day.- Try to avoid white, bleached, or enriched flour.- Stay away from high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oils.- Eat every 2 to 4 hours to keep your metabolism going.- Eat 5 to 6 small meals a day to keep your metabolism up.- Try to get 6 to 8 hours of sleep. When your body is deprived of sleep your appiteite increases by 15%.- Sugar and artificial sweeteners are the devil. If you have a sweet tooth, grab some fruit.- Avoid all junk food, fast food, and fried food.- Try only drinking water, tea, and black coffee. There are so many hidden calories in drinks.- Eat whole grain foods and healthy fats (like olives, avacados, nuts, ect) and stay away from refined or bad carbs.
