How can I lose weight and gain speed fast? -

I am 16, 6 1 230 lbs. I am a Junior in high school and I played lineman on my schools football team. I took my Junior year off and I want to become a QB, I have a great arm and great accuracy. Is there any hope for me to lose weight fast and build up speed so I can at least give it a try?

ride your bike four about an hour. Try not to eat anything from 300+ calories. Trust me. im mad skinny and Im the QB on the BOYS football team. im a girl.(:

Keeping to a reduced weightMany people who lose weight soon put it back on again when they stop their weight reducing diet. The main reason this happens is because the weight reducing diet was only a temporary cut back of an unhealthy diet. Once you have lost some weight, to keep the weight off you need to stick to a healthy diet. An active lifestyle with more physical activity would also help. Even better is for the whole family or household to have changed to healthy eating habits and a healthy lifestyle. To keep your weight down you will still need to eat less and/or do more physical actvity than previously. For example, if you have lost 10kg, to keep this off and maintain your weight you will still need to:* eat about 300 calories per day less than you did prior to the weight loss diet, or* do more physical activity to burn up an extra 300 calories per day, or* a combination of the two.Top tip - after losing some weight, weigh yourself once a week to keep a check on your weight.

Start your day with a glass of water. As soon as you wake up, gulp down a glass of cool water. Its a wonderful way to start you day and you only need a lesser quantity of your breakfast drink after that. A glass of water lets out all your digestive juices and sort of lubricates the insides of your body. You may have your morning cup of tea but have it after a glass of water. It is good for you.

just start running up and down steep hills with a sweater on for about an hour and start eating healthier and in about a month you ll see a huge difference

Are you trying to lose weight? If you are, STOP!Funny thing to say coming from someone that wants to help you lose all the weight you want, right?Actually, there s a good reason. You see, you can t try to lose weight. Don t believe me?OK, let s use an example. Look around where you are sitting right now and find a small object. Perhaps a pen, envelope or book. Got it?Now, try to pick it up. Go ahead. Is it in your hand? If it is, well, then you didn t try, you actually picked it up. If it s not in your hand, you didn t.Simple, right? There s no middle ground in doing. You can t try to do anything, it s a fallacy. You either do it, or don t do it.The same applies to losing weight (or anything else for that matter). Saying that you ll try gives your mind fuzzy instructions, and it will return fuzzy results, results that aren t what you really want. It also gives you a way out if you don t achieve the goals you set out to reach. You see, your subconscious mind doesn t interpret your directions, it just goes to work following them as complete truth. When you say you ll try to lose weight , it will try to follow your instructions, which we now know is impossible. What in fact you want, (if you really do) is to lose weight. To feel better. To have more energy. To overcome health challenges. To look great. Now, if you say you want to lose weight and are not successful, or continue to use language that includes words like try or we ll see or maybe , perhaps you re wired backwards. What does that mean? Well, maybe you say that you want to lose weight, but your mind says it doesn t. Somewhere along the way you gave your mind instructions that it s too hard, or impossible, to lose the weight you want. Perhaps you re more comfortable where you are now, but know that it s the right thing to say that you want to lose weight. If this is the case, ask yourself what beliefs you hold that are at odds with what you want. For example, it s too hard to lose weight , it s impossible to lose weight , I can t lose weight because I d have to exercise all the time , I ll lose my friends if I lose weight , I can t lose weight because I ve always failed .Ask yourself if in fact they are true. Are they making your life easier, or more difficult? Do these beliefs serve you or harm you? Then, replace the old beliefs with new ones. Positive, confident statements about how you want to look and feel. The best way to lose weight is to avoid saying you ll try to lose weight, and say you will lose weight. See yourself at your ideal weight. Imagine how great you look and feel. Use positive language and give your mind specific instructions like I m now happily at my ideal weight of (number of pounds) weight or I now happily choose to wear a size (your ideal size) .Watch your language and self talk closely and avoid using try . It may take constant attention at the beginning, but after a short time, you ll get used to keeping your language positive, upbeat and confident.Your weight loss results will follow immediately, depending on how confident, committed and persistent you are in applying these exercises. The more confident, committed and persistent, the faster your results will appear. You CAN do it!Mark Idzik is a health coach with a national clientele who helps his clients lose weight, feel better, overcome health challenges and make better health choices. Here are some tips on how you can lose those unwanted pounds the healthy way:1. Do not starve your self. The key to a healthier way of losing weight is: Do not diet. You may seem happy and feel that you are losing those unwanted flabs on your belly and thighs by skipping meals. But remember that this would not last long. Your body cannot tolerate having insufficient food to fuel the energy that you use up everyday. If you get used to skipping one or two meals a day, your stored calories will be used up instead of the energy that should have been provided by your meals. So if you just eat one huge sandwich in one day, it will end up straight to your problem area (i.e. highs, buttocks, hips). 2. Start your day right. Mothers always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Have a healthy meal in the morning to jump-start your metabolism. Your food intake after you wake up will be used to burn fat all day long.3. Eat small, healthy meals frequently. Five small-serving snacks per day is better than three hearty meals. Eating more frequently, and in small servings, can prevent over-eating. This will also increase your metabolism and make calories burn faster. 4. Decide on how much weight you want to lose. Keep your goals realistic. In the long run, it is virtually impossible for you to lose 40 pounds in 2 weeks. Have a mindset that you want to eat healthy to stay healthy for the rest of your life. Once you have decided on a weight loss plan or program, stick to it and make sure that you follow your own set of dieting rules. 5. Drink lots of water. Your body needs sufficient water to burn fat and keep your cells hydrated and healthy. 6. Avoid too much sugar. Plan your meals around lots of fruits and vegetables, some bread, rice or pasta for that carbo fix that you need, plus lean meat and protein rich-foods. Sweets, sodas and pastries should be once-in-a-while indulgences only.7. Watch your fat intake. Fat is not the culprit to being overweight. You need this to keep your weight at the proper level. There is such a thing as healthy fats. Olive, peanuts and canola oil have them. Tuna, salmon and mackerel have omega-3 fats which is good for the heart. 8. Exercise. Leave your car if you are only going a few blocks from home, take the stairs instead of the elevator, jog, cycle or skate. Use these activites and other home chores if you are too lazy to go to the gym and take exercise classes. Make sure that you do this regularly and you will not even notice that you are already shedding pounds with these mundane activities. It does not matter how much weight you plan or need to lose. What is important is that you set realistic goals for yourself.

How can i lose weight so i can be fit and not have kids not to make fun of me? -

how can i lose weight fast and i need a diet because all the diets i try don t work. i weight in the 200 almost 300 and i want to lose weight. i am only in the 7th grade going in 8th this year. what should i do?

There are so many factors that affect your weight it is hard to give you a good answer tailored to your individual needs. You need to start by visiting your family doctor who can give you some advice on your diet as far as the daily calorie intake, etc. You are in your growing years - diets for adults will not supply your nutritional needs necessarily. You are welcome to come by my blog. I have BMI charts, weight charts, etc at http://betheweightyouwant.com and at http://guru-sites.com/exercise-to-fitnes I have a downloadable speadsheet (works with google docs or Microsoft) which tells you approximately how many calories you burn with various activities. Also at Be the Weight You Want I have several posts which would give you some insite such as Food and Me, Partners in Everything and a series called MAGIC HELP with tips for each letter.

First, take your weight in pounds, add a zero to the end and that s how many calories you should eat everyday to lose weight. (example: 250 pounds = 2,500 calories per day) You will have to adjust your caloric intake as you lose weight. Then, plan your meals off of the basic food pyramid.www.mypyramid.gov is a great website!Water is also very important!Take your weight in pounds and that s how much water you should drink in oz. everyday. (example: 250 pounds = 250 oz.)1 cup is approx. 8 oz.Daily physical activity is not required but if you want to boost your weight loss and tone up then you should be physically active 30-60 minutes per day.Remember this is a gradual proses, it doesn t happen over night.Hope I helped!~Ruthann

Don t let those kids bother you.I went through the same thing last year. And this summer I was like I m gonna show them all And you know what I did.And you can too!Just keep up a healthy diet not one of those, im gonna only drink water diets, include you re protien, meats, dairy, fruits, vegetables, grains, and so fourth.Have 5-6 small meals per a day, and do alot of cardio, maybe take up a sport, or join a school team this year.Best of luck, And staying active is key!- JT .

please get to an endocrinologist and have test run to see what is wrong. I was that large when I was 13....turns out I have(had) a deadly brain tumor.NOTE:THIS IS NOT TO SAY YOU HAVE A DEADLY BRAIN TUMOR YOURSELF, but, why not check. Are you eating too much, are you active at all during the day?Sometimes, you have to take a look at what you are doing, and what you can change to feel better. And if ANYONE says that LapBand, or stomach stapling is allright? RUN THE OTHER WAY.People die because of it, it is a serious surgery with serious side effects. And, as for people makeing fun of you? I learned to fight for myself, and stand up for myself, don t let them torment you, FIGHT BACK. Be strong, beause they only want to hurt you, and you don t have to put up with it.Me? I ve survived 43 (yes 43, I m not lying) brain surgeries, being in a coma for several months, and having many, many surgeries that the doctors said I d never survive. But I was strong, and I did.

1) no more fast food and eat lean meats...i.e. chicken, tuna2) drink ONLY water....no soda, juices, energy drinks, etc3) get active whether its just a small walk around the block or chores around the house....bottom line is get off the couchfor every 3500 calories you burn, you lose one pound. so just watch your calories...should be taking in about 2000 calories and it sounds like youre taking in a lot more. just do about 1500 cals a day and the weight will start coming off

It would be a great idea to join a team sport and exercise. If team sports are not your thing then long walks or jogging is good. Remember to eat healthy.

If you can join something like Weight Watchers and attend weekly meetings, that would be the most beneficial because there s a built-in support group. Otherwise, check out the site below. You ll find some really helpful information, such as Eat Healthy and Weight Loss 4 Teens. I lost 85 pounds five years ago, so I can tell you from experience that you can t look at the big picture. That is too overwhelming. Lose your weight in 5-pound increments, never looking beyond the next five pounds. It will take you about a year to reach your goal, but that s okay. That year is going to pass by no matter what you do. The only question is will you still be unhappy with your weight when the year is passed, or will you have done something about your weight issue? When I lost weight, I had to lose 30 pounds for anyone to notice (that didn t know I was dieting) that I was losing, so be patient and reward yourself along the way, but not with food. Get a manicure or pedicure or pair of earrings when you reach each 10 pounds. Keeping a food log or weight loss journal will really help you. You can print out a free one on the site below. Research shows that people who track their food lose twice as much weight and stay on their diets longer than those who don t track. Start exercising, even if it s just walking and even if it s just 15 minutes a day, at first. Exercising will not only help you lose weight faster, but it will help ensure that you don t have loose skin hanging around once you reach your goal. One of the biggest things to help you with weight loss is to give up all sodas and sweet drinks. Learn to love water. Save the other drinks for special occasions. Good luck! (and keep us informed!)

Quickest way to lose weight? (Goal of 215 by end of March 09)? -

I m a 26 year old male currently weighing 265 lbs (5 11 in height)...my goal is to reach and maintain of weight of 185 lbs by the end of 2009, but I would like to reach 215 lbs by the end of March 09 (going on vacation). Does anyone have a quick solution on how to lose weight fast in order for me to reach my early goal?

I like your enthusiasm. You need to focus on your nutrition. Your goals will be reached if you eat healthy foods that are high in protein and low in fat/sugar. Stick with vegetables for snacks. As for exercise, focus on alternating your cardio routines. High intensity workouts will really elevate your heart rate and burn calories. Skip breaks between sets, or eliminate them entirely.Again, really watch what you eat and the pounds will begin to come off.

I have tried so many diets that are out there but the best way to lose it and keep it off is to just diet and exercise. I used to HATE it when people would tell me that because I wanted an easy way out but once I finally said ok I have to do this and started going to the gym and eating a little healthy ever once in a while the weight started to just fall off. I don t eat healthy all the time yet, I just use common sense and get grilled instead of fried, veggies or fruits instead of fries, etc. So once I start a strict diet I will begin to lose even more which I m excited about.

It is a possibility to lose weight fast but you should be realistic and understand that if you lose weight fast then you will without doubt put it all back on again just as fast. I lost 7 pounds during the last couple of weeks when I had a wedding to attend, and I did it by following the tips given on the web resource in the box below.

you need to go on a no carb diet. look it up, no bread, noodles, rice. stick with protein. i suggest making a variety of stir fry, with pork, beef and other meatsstick with no carb diet and you will see pounds melt away, no pop either

meth...

What kinds of foods make you lose weight faster? -

Is their foods that make your metabolism increase?

No such thing. This is another example of quackery and pseudo-science.As the first answerer (Some Geek) rightly said, the effect upon metabolism is negligible. You will lose weight when your energy-food (carbohydrates and fats) intake is less than your energy usage.Look here:

FOODS THAT BOOST THE METABOLISM1) Water. 2) Spicy food, chili peppers in particular3) Fish, particularly fish such as salmon and trout which are rich in omega-3 fatty acids.4) Protein-rich foods, such as turkey, chicken, or lean beef.5) Fiber-rich vegetables. Report Abuse

yes, green tea make metabolism faster and also spicy foods and papaya. for me, egg and tuna are the best foods for losing weight. as well as veggies. tuna has 0 carb in it and few on eggs, but i prefer if u boil the egg.and don t forget tons of water.

carbs help with energy

As a general rule, unprocessed foods will always be the healthiest; Eat all you want of natural fruits, nuts, and vegetables. Stay away from red meat, sugars and condiments. Always choose whole wheat bread over white or flour, and choose lowfat or soymilk over whole milk. Its that easy.

The ones you eat while running XDI ve asked this question over at Self Service Science and they continuously tell me that not only do most foods have little impact on teh metabolism (rather its how and when and how much you eat) but what effect they do have is so minimal that its not worth the bother.

You may not have expected a real answer, but here goes...After trying for 10 years. I finally lost 150+ lbs (12 stone) and kept it off for over 3 years now. I am now in amazing health, all around, not just thinner.I did it without medicine, workouts, religion, going hungry or hating my food and without an operation or secret formula. I had tried counting: calories; carbs; fat; etc. I had tried jogging, swimming, weights, aerobics, crazy medicines and starving! But nothing ever worked well or lasted very long.I also had Hypertension, High Blood Pressure, Chronic Asthma, vision and hearing loss. constant colds and ills, annual flu or pneumonia and more. I was approved for bypass surgery and taking usually between 16 and 20 pills a day.take a look at my before and after pictures...--------------------------------------I m Chris...http://www.fromsadtoraw.com/Journals/Chrhttp://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/personalgrmore info:http://www.thelighthousewebworld.com/rawhttp://www.rawguru.com/rawgurus.html

green tea, wow i ve said it so many times lol you d think i have like stocks in it or something. If you want to go extreme tuna with mustard instead of mayo or at least half and half. Mustard has chemicals that promote fat oxidation.

Spicy Foods

sure, just try healthier food, low calorie boring stuff likt salad with no dressing

Sweet,,, tons of watter

Vegetables amd foods within the glycemic index. Nutrisystem carries those. Also, I read somewhere that if you eat 5-6 small meals a day, it keeps your metabolism going more than eating 3 large meals a day. Metabolism is what burns calories.

lessen your carbo intake.

take only boiled food less oil food

a good way to loose weight is a diabetic diet. This can be found by going to, www.discovery.com/health and typing in diabetic, then diet. diabetics have to eat 3x day. and a rounded square meal. depending on how many calories they r taking in. when u know the amount of calories u want to take in,loosing weight i would suggest 1600 daily with a diabetic snack at 9:00 to finish your calories. this will aid in not making u feel so hungry before bedtime

I need to lose weight fast no joke? -

hey im 14 i go to high school and i weight 210 lbs I need some help loosing some weight fast because summer is coming and I need to lose weight. I have a lot of muscle under this fat because I weight lift and that I don t see any results because of my fat. Can anyone help me

play a spring sport. it will give you lots of exercise to burn tons of calories, and if you combine that with a better diet (cut out fatty foods, fried stuff, cheesburgers, mayonaise/ranch dressing) then you will definitely start shedding some pounds.

Good on you for working on those muscles.Unfortunately, you will need to do some cardio vascular exercise to burn fat. Activities that raise your heartbeat. Don t overdo it though, start gradually or you might hurt yourself.Try activities like swimming, walking (jogging and running are better, but build up to them), bike riding, even skipping! Also, a diet of lean meats, vegetables, fruit and whole grains will help. Eat in moderation. Eat slowly and stop when you are full - you don t have to finish everything on your plate. My partner has really big muscles and rock hard abs, but people don t realise that because his muscles have developed faster that he s losing weight, so I empathise with you. Cardio really is the key.

My boyfriend s the same way, just diet. No soda, lots of greens, fruits, and most importantly WATER. Also, don t just focus on working out do some strenuous aerobic exercise like jogging to help burn universal fat.

There are easier methods to reduce weight apart from dieting and exercise. You can take a diet supplement that rinses out your pipes, you will reduce up to 20 lbs like this - and the weight comes off in the correct areas too! There s a risk free trial at http://zorarenfly.dmql.com
