How can a 12 year old lose weight fast? -

How can a 12 year old about 4ft 7 lose weight fast? He weighs 98 now and he should weigh 80. How are the best things he could do to lose the weight. What should he eat and do daily. he usually has rice and salad with vinegar also crunchy rice at home. But he loves burgers and fries! so he also eats that a lot to. he normally eats fruit almost everyday.

Well I have a relative around the age of 12 that lost over 20 pounds.Simply this is what he did: 1) Eat plenty of Vegetables and Fruit.2) Eat less than 2000 or 2500 calories a day (depends on how much you excerice per day, if you excercise for 30 mins, eat 2000 Calories or less. If you excercise 1 hour eat 2500 Calories or less).3) Excercise 5-7 Days a week for 30 Minutes at least or more.4) Meal time was usally, 7-8 AM Breakfast, 12-1 PM Lunch, 6-7 PM Dinner. (Dont eat anything other than water or maybe a fruit or two after 7)he did this for months and every week he got different results, he usally lost 1, 2, or 3 pounds per week. Which is healthy because if you lose more than 3 pounds a week its bad for your health. You gotta take it slow. :)

get outside and enjoy the fresh air, stop playing on a computer and video games. plus at that age there i wouldnt be too worried about losing weight as you will grow into it when you hit your growth spurt.

At this age you got to be really careful. I had an okay diet at that age (it wasn t brilliant but I didn t a lot of fast food) but I was a bit above average. I don t know pounds but lets say I should have been 80 pounds I was 85. Anyway my Dad decided I was a too much of a fat little porker (his words not mine) and thought starvation or meal replacement was best. It had the opposite effect. I d spend the weekend or a week or two with him (my parents were divorced) and by the end I would be starving so bad that I compensated by overeating... I m still dealing with that stuff 15 years later!Ok plenty of fresh food. Get the recommended daily intake and right portions. Hamburgers are okay as a treat and are a better choice if you go for home made (same for pizza and other take aways). When making them at home, choose low fat mince for example...Limit TV and electronic game (eg gameboy) time. After school it s outdoors or other activities.Try group sports or group activities (eg there are groups who go walking pre work / school). Whilst it may be unfair to include the entire family all the time, mum / dad / aunts / uncles / grandparents etc may choose to go for a half hour walk or swimming or such and spend some quality time with them...Under NO circumstances make them feel guilty or poorly, build confidence...This will set you, your son and family up in the short, mid and long term...

i need something better than just work out and eat healthy i already do. i m not like obese or anything, but i hate that i could be really good looking but i have like 20 lbs i want to shed. its killing my self confidence here. ummm dont give me a pep talk either just tell me how you or somebody you know lost weight fast.

Do not eat anything (drink water is ok) after 5 or 6pm, which means no dinner but you can eat a lot for breakfast n lunch. It will be hard for most people but it works! My skinny friend has become like a real fashion model, besides her skin condition has become amazingly great.

Food- Always eat breakfast. Yes, I know getting up a bit earlier to consume the first meal of the day is sometimes hard, but it is necessary. I would suggest egg beaters and a piece of fruit (preferrably a banana to give you necessary protein). Drink water. They say if you drink water in the morning it gets your brain working a lot better. Juices and milk have a lot of sugar, so you definitely don t want to drink your calorie intake for the day. For lunch I would suggest a turkey (low sodium) wrap. Walmart has these really good wraps that are fat free. Put a little bit of lettuce and tomato on the wrap and you re ready to go. If you want some extra flavoring, add a pinch of pepper. Drink water again because our body needs A LOT of water everyday. Plus, if you drink water throughout the day, the less snack urges you will get. It s not smart to snack- adds extra calories. If you re dying to eat drink water and crew on a piece of Stride or Orbit gum. Long lasting and good tasting! Sometimes hunger can be mistaken for thirst! So keep that in mind.For dinner I would suggest chicken varieties or fish. Stay away from a lot of red meat. Red meat contains a lot of sodium and fat. You don t want a lot of sodium and sugar in your diet. Eat veggies and perhaps a small amount of brown rice. Use butter spray (it s fat free). Parkay makes the best tasting! It really does taste like butter!!!For a snack at night if you re still hungry try fat free/sugar free jello or pudding. Popcorn is also a really good choice. Low fat (94% fat free) is sold at Walmart or you can even get the corn and pop it yourself. Add some butter spray and you re in business. Don t add extra salt though!Don t eat past 7PM if possible. Late night eating is really bad for you!Exercise- Try running, walking fast, parking far away so you can get that extra distance in, sit-ups (increase how many you do EVERY night), push-ups, walks, sports/biking, swimming, Wii fit (ha), dancing...Basically any way to stay active! Always be on the move. When sitting watching tv move your legs to keep moving and burning those calories. Stair stepping is also good. If you live relatively close to a studium, go to there and run the stairs.Remember- With a healthy diet and staying active, you ll lose weght without a problem! Good luck! :) BTW- the green tea tip is great! It speeds up your metabolism A LOT and is a very healthy drink for you! Don t add sugar, perhaps a small amount of Splenda (not even the whole packet- you don t need it, it ll be sweet with only a drop of it).

Well I ve lost a lot of weight from my childhood unto adolescence. I can t tell exactly how much weight I lost because I gained body thickness and muscle during ouberty (which I m still going through). I started eating less and participating more in sports. Also I went out to run at least a mile once in a while. Then I got more active and become a talented long distance runner but not the best. I started to run more and started to substitute bad foods with healthy ones. Then I ran much more like running a 10 kilometer race and running 2-mile races at track meets. I also started to life weights (muscle burns more calories so the more muscle you have the better but for a girl a girl wants lean muscle which can be gained by long distance running. Look at the lean long distance runners in the Olympics!) Then I came to what I am at now with much less body fat and eating healthy and starting to eat protein bars. Work hard and you can have anything in life.

If you re already eating right and exercising, you re on the right path. This works for me: ALWAYS breakfast, crazy amounts of water throughout the day, running at least 4 times a week and Super Dieter s tea once a week (or maybe once every two weeks because it can be pretty strong). The only way the tea works though is if you re eating healthy and follow the directions exactly. Good luck!PS. sports like soccer because when you play your lifting your heart rate and burning calories and you run during most of the game. you should also run 1 or 2 miles 4 or 5 times a week and try to improve your speed and try to get a mile in in the fastest time. it will help because you ll be running and try to go faster. eat food with low carbs but don t starve yourself eat something every couple of hours thats healthy like a banana or a small package of crackers. try to eat foods that give a lot of energy, vitamins and calciums without much fat. if you don t like to run try riding a bike for a couple miles w/a friend so it i ll be fun while your exercising try to swim laps as much as possible. but DO NOT try being bulimic or aneroxic it is not a good idea i promise. and try to avoid sugar and stuff with satured and unnecessary fat but don t starve yourself i did it once and i ended up going to the hospital and having a food tube and being forced to eat thats not a good thing. try new exercises or sports it will burn calories and can be fun

well if your already exersizing and dieting..try alli..just to give you an extra boost...

try doing ab crunches. Around 50 a day for starters. Gradually build upon it. With any luck and a LOT of motivation, you ll be sporting a six pack like me after like 6 months. :P

Here is wat you can do. Well first off make sure to stay active! But for to start off I say some drinks, you could have any kind of water, diet pop, tea, coffee, Crystal light or wrigers light, etcfor food healthy things to eat is suchs things lyk.... Lean turkey or chicken slices (pkged ), boneless skinless chicken breasts, boneless ham, whole wheat bread, cereals (lyk corn flakes, fiber one, oatbran, cream of wheat, shredded wheat, total, oat meal, special K), soaps (progresso light, campbells lower sodium tomato soap etc), just make sure to watch teh sodium on certain soaps! ...make sure to eat lots of veggies and fruits, good fiber! (from such things lyk beans, high fiber breads, ) even some food now they added fiber too it (lyk motts sugarfree apple sauce), anything thats lower in fat, higher in protein and fiber which keeps you full longer, make sure to stay hidrated though! oh! btw green tea is said to up your motabloizm which is the thing in your body that burns calories, so try that if you lyk tea. eat low fat granola, a handful of almonds, 100 calorie packs snacks, fruits, veges, peanut butter, sliced turkey meat (like in the packages) chicken, turkey burgers, eat some cheese for calcium, but not much because of the fat content, 100 cal yogurts,vinaigrette s on salads, not creamy ones like ranch, whole wheat bread,mustard instead of mayo, use spray butter instead of normal butter or use margarine, eat salmon and tunaeat in moderationdrink water or herbal teas

i am really self conscience about my weight and I wanna do something to lose weight FAST! what can i do?

The other guy is right eat less and do more. I think that I am a genuis when it comes to losing weight FAST. Because I can eat such small amounts a day, so small that it can fit on the palm of your hand. When I was 15 I used to weight 189 pounds.I started eating such small amounts of food only once. No breakfast, no dinner, no lunch, just a small meal the size of your palm. I used to walk walk walk all day long. For hours and hours. Go out with mates, go to the city and look around. When I used to come home and weigh myself the weight that I used to lose was incredible. When I was that sucessful, that truimphant I wasnt going to let anything bring me down. Not one cake or one sweet not even one glass of anything other than water.The feeling I got was immense. I felt like no one could touch me, no one could ever hurt me or bring me down.Anyway I continued and continued and I eventually got to 107 pounds and that took about 3 months.Good luck
