Does morbid obesity really affect your menstruation? -

I m a virgin and I haven t seen my period in about 2 months. I wasn t too worried at first since I m obviously not pregnant and weight fluctuation in the past has made me have irregular periods.Last night and most of today, however, I ve begun to have abdominal cramping. I m pretty sure it s not constipation or gas, but I ve taken rolaids and eaten fiber just to be sure. I m 21 years old, 330 pounds, and 5 9 . I m thinking my period may have stopped because of my weight and the fact I ve undergone a new weight loss program recently. My insurance won t be reinstated until I register for grad school next month and the free clinic in my area wasn t much help, so I m hoping to find some answers here.Should I be especially worried (since the cramping) or is this common among women my size? Please, serious answers only.

At what speed should I walk on my treadmill? -

Hey there, so I was wondering, what speed should I walk on my treadmill to get my hear rate up and to burn calories? Don t tell me to jog, I am in no shape today to go for a jog, because I just wen horseback riding. So what is a good pace? I normally walk about 3.5-3.7mph, should I go faster, or what? Also what incline? I am planning to lose some weight ,and I m starting my weight loss program on monday. So I m going to start ex ercising today./

well you should put it at a speed you feel comfortable at. I m saying one that is not to slow because you need some speed to burn some fat and stuff. but not to fast that you may hurt yourself. i usually set mine to about 5.hope this helps..:)

idk, treadmills all have different speeds then the others. Definitely increase the incline though. That make your booty tight!

your looking ok..... but since you only 15... you need to start working out.... do some jump squats, lunges, and cardio to maintain!Otherwise you will blow up by the time you are 18

Well if sunflower oil is what you can afford , then just use that.

HOw can i LOOSE weight? -

hi,I am fifteen, around 5 7 (though i think i may have grown a bit, and weigh in at about 68-69 kgs...but our scales have been broken for about 2 months so i m not sure how accurate that is:P I probably weigh more, so i really want to loose weight. I want to get to 63kgs, and want to be able to be confident about my body in P.E and when im playing sport. When i look in the mirror i dont think i look that bad but i do need to loose some weight. I want my BMI to be at 21 so i need some help! What can i do to get to my goal weight of 63kgs (loose maybe around 5kgs...or more depending on what my actual weight is)? I don t have access to a gym or have any money to spend on special weight loss programs or food, so i need help. I am already reasonably active-i walk to school some days(30mins) and home every day without fail(40mins), i am also in the basketball team and we play once a week and train hard on thursday mornings (at 7 in the morning!!!!). But basketball is ending soon and there aren t really any summer sports i m interested in. I do eat reasonably healthy as well but i nearly always over eat... Soo, any advise, fitness programs, tips, and boosters would be really great!thankyou very much:Pp.s i know i am not obese, but would still like to loose some pounds. Some tips:Eat protein with every meal!Eat 5-6 smaller meals everyday instead of 3 meals.Eat oatmeal sweetened with honey or Stevia for breakfast. Throw in some bananas, blueberries or raisins. Eat a hard-boiled egg white or scrambled eggs (egg-beaters are best) and a piece of wheat toast.For mid-morning snack, try a fruit smoothie with any kind of fruit, skim milk, flaxseed and protein powder. Mix up in a blender and yum!For lunch, eat a veggie full salad with spinach, tomato, cucumber, carrot, mushrooms, soy beans and anything else you can throw in it. Instead of using dressing, use a splash of red wine vinegar and drizzle on some extra virgin olive oil. Try putting some turkey or chicken pieces in the salad too.For afternoon snack, try apple with peanut butter or veggies and hummus.For dinner, eat brown rice, steamed veggies and baked/grilled or broiled fish or chicken. Eat beans too or instead of the meat. After dinner snack could be a frozen Edy s fruit bar or Crystal Light popsicle. Eat plenty of veggies and fruit throughout the day too.Drink only water! Try some lemon in it too.Exercise daily (rest once or twice a week starting out) by walking or run/walking sprints for 30 to 60 minutes a day. Try to work the upper body and lower body everyday. most importantly you have to be committed and motivated to lose weight. dont binge on your diet and drink green tea (iced or hot, whichever) that has no calories to boost your metabolism. Also eat constantly throughout the day to boost your metabolism. try to do exercise that is fun (like swimming or Dance Dance Revolution). Also dont starve yourself..i tried that at one point and i ended up just gaining more weight because i tried to replace what i lost. The reason i recommend eating constantly is because if you starve yourself for too long, your body will go into starvation mode and it will end up storing fat. Make sure you always drink something before you eat because sometimes you are really just thirsty not hungry. Also drink ice cold water because it shocks your body, and then your body has to burn 7.something calories to bring your body temperature back to normal. Try eating more filling foods so it will suppress your hungry for a longer period of time. Allow yourself treats every now and then or you will just end up binging. Try not to lose more then 3 pounds a week because that is unhealthy. Dont eat when you are bored.Good Luck! by the way..you can not loose weight..it is lose weight.. ^-^

Ok, my second baby was born about 7 weeks ago.my pre-pregnancy weight was 59 kg (129 lbs) and right now i m at 70 kg (154 lbs). My height is 168 cm (5,5 feet).i can t really diet cause i m breastfeeding. i really want to start working out, but am afraid that might just harden my body instead of helping me lose the extra lbs. what do you think? what sort of activities can i do to help me lose weight and not harden my body. thanks a lot.

You should be eating right because you re breastfeeding. After each baby you have, it becomes harder to lose the weight. Working out at this time is not a good idea. I have a girl on the program who began the diet after her baby was 9 weeks old. She was breastfeeding but stopped. It s now easier for her to diet, whereas, before she stopped breastfeeding she needed the extra calories. I ve had to advise her to stop the high intensity spinning class she was in, during breastfeeding and also during the diet. This program gives you 1200 calories a day in 3 balanced meals that includes high protein, low carbs, plenty of fruit, veggies and water. She was always very thirsty for her water when breastfeeding. You should not, at this time, do any thing but eating right until you stop breastfeeding.

There are some weight loss programs out there that are very safe, even if you re breastfeeding. It will give you a workout routine if you want one and if you don t it will tell you how many calories you would have to eat without exercise and still lose the weight. I have tried so many diets in my life that have failed me. Diets don t work, eat what you want in moderation. It took me a long time to realize that, I usually eat 6 times per day and I have lost about 10 pounds in the course of a month. So now lets add what your body usually burns with the work out 2,500 + 229 calories=2729 in a day with that walking you would burn 2729 calories now the trick is to eat 500 calories less of 2729 which is the amount of calories you should consume to lose 1 pound a week. If you were to walk every day for 1 hour eating 2229 calories a day you would lose 1 pound. Your wondering why you have to subtract 500 ??? in order to lose 1 pound you need to burn 3,500 calories 500x7( each day of the week)=3,500. Be wise in the choices you make with food because 2229 calories is a good amount of food. You wouldn t want 1000 calories waisted on a gross big mac with fries when you could have a tuna sandwich with cheese with chips for half of the amount of calories.
