Can I lose weight without screwing up my body? -

I m a 13 year old boy, not sure about my measurements but I m not fat. A while ago (about 3 months) I had a little extra stomach so I went about losing it. I joined soccer as well as going for jogs and just generally being active. I also ate a bit healthier (as much as I could but it s not perfect, but it s better than most of my skinny mates). Well I have gotten much fitter but I have not seen any difference in my body. I can run further, faster and longer than before but I have not lost any fat (I don t have scales, I judge on pics, before and after you know). Well, why didn t I lose any fat, how can I and is it possible to (without screwing up my body). What can I do?Btw, all the weight loss tips I have seen on here I do, like drink more water etc.Thanks.

Weight loss tips! please give me some advice!? -

So, I realized today that I only have a pair of jeans that still fit me. I just am so tired of feeling nasty about my body. I have access to a gym, but I have been extremely busy with classes, so it has been hard for me to get to the gym. I know that is something I need to make time for.But lets pretend I couldn t work out 5-6 times a week, what are some other changes I can make to help me lose some weight? I have to buy my own groceries, so I cant spend a lot of money. But I figured that cutting out coffee and ice cream runs...that would help. I can t spend a lot of time making dinner and lunch, but I want to start eating better.Please help!current weight: 144lbsgoal weight: 125lbsheight: 5 2 i don t want to take any pills, just natural weight loss!

lettuce is cheap, you can buy that and make your own salads, with any other vegetable. don t go hard on dressing though, i try to use only a tablespoon.eat plenty of fruits and drink a lot of water, that will make you feel like you are not that hungry. whenever you eat, try to leave behind just a little. try not to eat while you watch tv because sometimes you dont even realize that you re full and you keep eating. focus on your food!!if you can t get to the gym, do what i do.work out in your room on the floor for 20 or 30 minutes before you shower.do 100 crunches, military abs, and get some light dumb bells. look up some ab exercises that you d be interested in.i will say this time and time again, if you run or jog you will lose weight! make time to go to your gym for 30 minutes, thats all and just jog on the treadmill. you can even bring your books to study.don t skip meals, if you try to eat less you will not lose a lot of weight and if you do lose some weight, as soon as you eat again it will allllllll come back.try to eat some fruits for breakfast, and have a glass of skim milk.try some wheat toast with jelly.make a sandwhich with fat free deli meat. dont use mayo.peanut butter with apples is a good snack.for dinner don t fry anything! bake your chicken and eat some greens.stay away from soda, sugar, and white bread, etc.

calculate your bmi which stands for basic matabolism rate once you have that then cut your eating to about 1500 calories a day and do light exersise. so lets say you have a bmi of 1900 by eating 1500 calories you would be losing 400 calories a day. and along with the light excersise like jogging and walking that should be and extra 300. so you would be on pace to lose over a pound a week. 4 pounds in a month. and 2 months 8-10 pounds. so just do this for 4 months and you will be alot skinnier.

i weighed 260 and now weigh 170 so i can help. for breakfast have a banana, apple, or yogurt, for lunch have a tuna sandwich, or peanut butter and jelly, for dinner have chicken baked or grilled (not fried!) have it with some vegetables or potatoes.i also work out and run for one hour a day stay away from soft drinks, chocolate, cookies, candy.

Regular coffee is fine, it s what we add that makes it fattening. And ice cream for sure, way too calorie dense. You could always run in place, jumping jacks, push ups, crunches...Karl

You can drink coffee but just regular coffee with some Equal or Sweet N Low. None of that fancy drinks which pack in major calories. I d mostly control my diet if I were you. Studies have shown that diet is the most influential factor in losing weight. Count calories and try to stay around 1200 while you want to lose weight. Fresh fruits and veggies, lean proteins (fish, chicken), and whole grain carbs should mostly make up your diet. On nights I have more time I ll make a package of chicken breasts and throw those in salads, sandwiches, or whatever throughout the week. Drink tons of water. Every time you think you re hungry drink at least a half liter of water. If you re still hungry afterwards then eat something. Limit soda, alcohol, sugar, candy, snacking, fast-food, eating out, and nothing fried. good luck!

I need exercise help.....? -

Okay, so I have easily gotten bored with running, walking, crunches (sit-ups) and jumping jacks. Things like that. I need to find an exercise that I won t easily get bored with and will need little or no equipment. It also needs to be effective, see results fast, and something I can easily do in a time crunch. Please give me some ideas!!! Any other simple weight loss tips would be a good help, too.THANK YOU!

Do something you enjoy such as swimming, biking or basketball. Join a softball league or go hiking. Try doing aerobics, water aerobics , spinning or yoga.

Hey there!! Have U tried the buddy system? It is a great reinforcement for your exercise routine. Try walking through a park while using hand weights ankle weights to add resistance. Also, make sure to be drinking 8 glasses that are 8oz ea of H20 a day. This will filter out any impurities you have built up throughout the day. As far as equip goes U can use a weight ball or even a beach ball if u already have 1 of those. Sit on the floor back to back w/your buddy. Then begin to pass the ball to each other in a twisting motion. Try this standing also it really works the oblique muscles. Hope these ideas help out. a 20 second laugh is equivilent to a 90 second sprint! my doctor told me this and i just wanted to know if any of you have ever heard this before?

ah, yes is the answer, but not in the way you are thinking.Laughing flexes many muscles in your face, but running only requires around 20, so in terms of gross muscle training yes, it s kinda true.However, you burn calories by elevating your heartrate and keeping it there, so think about this after a 20sec. laugh are you as sweaty and tired as you are after a fast lap around a track?no is the answer, so you can t lose weight by laughing, but yes, it moves more muscles.

I don t know that this particular number is true but I do know that laughing does burn calories.

I think maybe they re referring to the high you feel...not calorie burning. Certain endorphins are released during cardio, also called a runners high . Maybe the same neurotransmitters are released during a long laugh. As far as fat burning and weight loss...not likely.

Best way too lose weight? -

im 5 2 and weight 108 pounds. that is just too much. i gained 18 pounds this year and im 2 inches taller. im fourteen years old going through a shi* load of stress. with family and new family, and new school, and new everything. my parents got divorced and i just got out of a deep depression. i want to lose weight. i want to be 93 pounds. so yea i dont want to go anorexic, but i need weight loss tips, and good excercise tips, what really helps!?!?

Lose weight tips ?- I feel like I am gaining!!? -

My goal is to lose about 20 lbs. I have been drinking about 3 -4 liters of water a day, with a slimfast shake around lunch or a Special K bar. For dinner, I usually eat normally (like a grilled chicken with veggies), and maybe a small amount of chips. I do about 60 lunges a day. I have not lost anything really. I plan on starting to walk around 7 miles a day, but havnt started yet. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? ANY weight loss tips would be much appreciated! Thanks!

You dont necessarily need to walk 7 miles a day to lose weight. As long as you are eating healthy and staying under 3,500 calories a day you should still lose weight. Also it takes time so dont expect immediate results.
