How to lose weight quick? -

Im 16 years old and im 5 11 and wiegh 228. I really dont look overwieght but i know i am. I have a little stomach and would like to get rid of it.Any suggestions?

Hi Andrew,That s great that you play baseball often, don t ever give up your exercise. Here is how I get rid of my stomach fat:As cliche as it may sound you gotta eat your veggies. They are amazingly good for you, also raw nuts (almonds are best) fruits, and 100% whole grain breads instead of white flours (white flour is very bad for you, read up on it if you get the chance!) Try and stay away from fried foods and fast food as much as possible, and other empty calories and foods that provide you no nutrients, like ice cream/candy/cake etc. Common sense goes a long way with what foods to eat and how to be healthy, so use it :) This tip is BIG: Substitute SODA and sugary drinks (read your labels) for water and 100% pure fruit juice (this was HUGE for me, I lost 10 pounds doing ONLY this!) Building healthy eating habits like shown above and keeping the weight off in the long term is what you should really strive for. Also, make sure you don t count calories, it can drive you CRAZY! Just eat GOOD calories, and when your satisfied, stop eating. If you mix this in with the other things I ve shared, you will be on your way to easily losing weight and keeping it off.Just be persistent, set goals, make little changes and stick with them. Hey hon, if you absolutely need to lose weight quickly I suggest cutting out sugar and simple carbohydrates from your diet. You don t have to go as extreme as Atkins, but significantly decreasing the amount of simple carbs you consume will stabilize your blood sugar, which will switch your body from storing fat mode to burning fat mode . Whether low carb dieting is healthy or not has become somewhat controversial in the diet community, but one thing is for sure: It works and works fast. An added bonus is that excess sugar specifically tells your body to store fat in the stomach region, so when you lose you ll lose from their first. I m currently 21 years old, 5 6 and 115 lbs. In high school I was constantly hungry because I ate only fat free foods and rarely consumed over 800 calories a day (far too few)and I never got under 135 lbs! When I started eating normally I ballooned to 180 lbs. because I had screwed my metabolism over. As soon as the scale hit 180 I started the Atkins diet and within 2 months I was down to 150. The rest is history. What worked for me may not work for you, but I wish you the best of luck with your tum tum!

i have a denise austin yoga buns video, and it works really well.it s a pain because yoga requires a lot of balance, coordination, and discipline.and it hurts like hell the next day (if you do it correctly) but it tones your legs really really well.

Well, all I can tell you is how I ve lost it... and I ve lost nearly 70 pounds total. I garden! No lie... I just got busy doing something other than eating, and when I DO eat, I make certain I get the most bang for my buck. By that I mean that I look for the most protein and fiber for my calorie intake. If something is above 150 calories, and less than 5 grams of protein or 4 grams of fiber, I don t eat it. Staying busy and smarter eating... that did it for me! Hope it goes well for you. :)

well obviously, you have to watch what you eat. the little snacks that you ingest on a day to day basis can really play a huge role in how much weight you lose. dont overeat, and dont even eat until you re full. i m not saying that you should starve yourself - that s a big no-no. instead, try eating until you re satisfied but not until your stomach bulges out. also, try not to each after 8:30 PM - your body essentially prepares itself for rest after that, so any food you ingest becomes turned into potential energy (aka fat). then there s the exercise. its important to do different types of exercise. its good that you ve been doing pilates and dancing. they re a lot more fun than just pounding miles on a treadmill. you should pick activities that really interest you, because chance are, you ll want to do them more often, which will help you become healthier and lose more weight. you could try cardio kickboxing - it not only improves your cardiovascular health, but it also helps tone your muscles and its really fun to dogood luck!

Don t do pilates or anything that makes you gain muscle until you lose as much as you would like to, cause you can t lose muscle as easily. Pilates is great. I use to kill myself doing eliptical and treadmill with NO results, but pilates works awesome. I love it. Also, drink water and not soda. And dont eat salt - it bloats you up.

I am not sure if you live in the UK but if you do I would recommend MEND (www.mendprogramme.org) this is a healthy eating and exercise programme for families that is funded by the NHS. My family recently completed the programme and my children are now considered a healthy weight they were obese before and it was not too difficult.

you can excersise, run alot to tone your muscles, which always works, drink a glass of water before you have a meal, eat less sugary stuff eat alot of vegetables and skip the chips and pizza and fast food,also there is a very good way to lose alot of weight very quickly, i know some people whove done it:eat only apples and as many as you want for 3 days and this is ONLY apples and you can also drink water, and you will lose alot of weight, however it may be challenging.also i dont think you are overweight :)

you didnt really say what you eat or how active you are. To lose weight you need to be burning more calories than your or intaking in your diet.

I have been overweight for most of my life, and have been on every diet imagineable. I recently decided to try Paul McKenna s weight loss programme, and have lost 3 stones in 2 and a half months.Paul McKenna is a famous hypnotist, and does NOT reccommend diets, as they never work, and almost everyone puts the weight straight back on. His theory is to eat VERY slowly, chewing every mouthful thoroughly, and slowly, putting the knife and fork down between mouthfuls. The mind releases endorphins, which make us feel happy when we eat, by rushing food when we eat, we release more endorphins, which make us feel happier, therefore disguising fullness . It really works, try it! I now eat a very small plate of food, very slowly, and I do NOT deprive myself of foods I love. I just eat smaller portions of them, and because I eat my meals VERY slowly now, I have found the weight dropping off me, without depriving myself of the foods I love.
