Most weight loss programs are only for grown ups.? -

Most weight loss programs only are for grown ups.And some kids want to loose weight too. what should kids do? i need help for quick fast easy ways to loose weight. help me please?

Hello Ally,You might find that some adult weight watching clubs do take children or young adults, provided they have a certificate from your doctor, advising you are to achieve x lbs or kilos, being your goal weight. You might be quite surprised at how nice the adults are in the clubs that accept Junior Membership. :))I wish you well with your search and of course also losing the weight you need to, but be happy and healthy in doing so. :))

most overweight children have a poor diet and are not exercising enough to burn off the excess calories that they have consumed. basically their output doesn t match their input.so to loose weight reconsider your diet, stay away from fast food or foods high in sugar. then start to build your exercise program. it doesn t have to be large time consuming gym workout. check out www.simplefit.org for some easy exercise programs. Most only take 15 minutes and do not require a large amount of equipment (generally none at all as they are body weight exercises). it wont be easy at first but stick to it and you will see results.

you make a good point, what you should do is to talk with your family Dr. to help you plan a health diet and exercise program. Here are a few links that should help: http://www.keepkidshealthy.com/nutritionhttp://www.cincinnatichildrens.org/svc/agood luck

How do you get motivated to start a weight loss program? -

I am 43 years old, about 30 pounds overweight, last spring I had a heart attack and slight stroke. I know I need to get myself in shape, loose some weight and exercise but I just have no motivation. I work full time and have a husband and two teenagers at home so I always use that as an excuse. Im looking for some encouraging words to help motivate me. And maybe ideas from others that may also help.

If staying alive for your husband and two teenagers is not enough to motivate you, I m not sure anything will.My dad s journey with weightloss after his heart attack and stroke (diabetes related) is what motivated me to examine my own health and lose 20+ pounds. He lost 60+ pounds in 6 months. I lost mine in 4, and have kept it off for almost a year. When you are ready, I have the link to the site that I used below. Reaching out is definately a first step in the right direction.

Wow! If a heart attack and stroke won t get you motivated, how can we help you?My motivation is my family. I love them and I don t want to miss a moment. Also, my chiropractor (nicely) told me that I have a thick neck :(THAT was my wake up call to get motivated to exercise and eat right. Is there someone who would be your diet and exercise buddy? It could be a spouse or a friend, etc. And you could walk together, exercise together, and when you lose weight...maybe you could be shopping buddies and buy those smaller sizes!Good Luck to you!

Eat only when u r hungry.Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

FORCE yourself to workout, after a while it becomes addictive.

a heart attack and slight stroke would motivate me. Doesn t death or being a vegetable scare you?See an endocrinologist- weight gain at your age + health problems and lack of motivation usually = hormone imbalance.Womans Day magazine has a good program going- join the message boards. A diet, a shape-up club, a walking clubhttp://forums.womansday.com/ibb/category

Don t wait to feel motivated.Make a decision. Stop with the I should and the I need and start with I will Get some help. Join a gym, join weight watchers and commit to going.Ask a friend to join you if you can, but don t let it stop you if you can t find someone.Seriously, I know it s hard and there are days when the donuts call your name, or the couch is calling your name louder than the gym, and you won t feel motivated, but if you make it an appointment and a commitment and a decision, you will have success.

Get yourself physically out of the house and start walking, or drive to the gym. As long as you are not at home where you can easily sit on the couch and eat potato chips, you are ahead of the game. Even if you don t feel like it, put your coat on and go.As far as dieting, I tried ediets.com and it worked for me, although you could do any kind of weight loss program which has a support system with it, like Weight Watchers. It can be hard to know what is right and wrong to eat, and how much. You need lots of reinforcement. Also ask your family to help you stay motivated, and maybe exercise with you. That s a good way to stay close with your family members too.

Nothing for you. If a heart attack didn t get you motivated, there is no hope.

Hire a nutritionist. If you have to weigh in with someone every couple of weeks and there is someone looking over your shoulder you will be more motivated. Trust me. It worked for me.
