Where can I find a good, healthy weight loss book for teenage girls? -

I am actually looking for a more specific book, but any suggestions would be fine. The book that I am looking for was published in the 1980s, possibly 1970s, and the cover is pink with a blond caucasian girl. I m hoping to find the book for my younger sister because it worked for me, but I can t seem to remember the title.

Barnes and Noble in the diet and nutrition section? Or Borders... Sorry, I don t know what book that is, though.

Do the weight-loss products really work? -

Excess weight comes from getting more calories into your body than you are burning, my suggestion would be to read up a little bit on it, then take action in the form of eating proper food and burning some calories. You can start by reading all the articles here:http://weight-loss-program.motoclassica.

Good friend of mine takes a product with Hoodia in it, she is under a doctor s supervision and doing great! She s lost 30lb. I ve tried it and noticed it really lowers your appetite!Research before you buy! Talk to your doctor before you try!

All of them work....combined with proper diet and excersise.

No. The thing that works for most people is cutting calories, eating healthy and exercise. If it doesn t work then that person needs to go through a doctor. Weight loss products are good for two thing. Lining other people s pockets with money and alot of the times ruining the health of the person who falls for them.

they are a waste of money. use that money and join a gym and work out. while you re at it, try eating healthier, the weight will come off and you ll keep it off.

If you follow their diet and exercise program exactly, and if you really need to lose weight.

Weight loss tips? -

does anyone have weight loss tips that dont involve diet and exercise? im already eating healthier and going to the gym i just wanted to know if there was anything i could do to get results faster. ( with out pills )

Whenever you are trying to lose weight, you should concentrate on these three things which all work together in providing a healthier and quicker weight loss goal for yourself. I have found this combination really successful in my weight loss plans. The first thing is exercising and how much you can put forth into it. The more you exercise, the more results you will see. The next thing is dieting and the calorie intake. If you exercise more, technically you could eat more? Always watch what you eat.Now the last step in a good weight loss plan is always a good diet pill that can help you get to the end of the road. I have found Proactol which is a natural herbal diet pill to be the best around. It s an appetite suppressant along with being a fat blocker which stops up to 28% of fat you eat. Read up about it at TheWeightLossPlace .com where I saved $30 on it at the time. Proactol really works well with exercising which gives you plenty of energy to perform. Along with that your diet will be affected by Proactol due to the appetite suppressant and fat blocker. If you slip up on meals, the fat blocker kicks in. It s really great to stop food cravings.Concentrate on those three things and the combination is deadly for the fat cells in your body. Good luck and I hope this helps.

What are some good winter weight loss tips? -

I am trying to lose weight and as you know winter is coming and I need some ideas to help boost my weight loss and not put it on.Thanks

As humans it s important to stay active through all four seasons. Yet, a poll of 5,000 people found that 30 percent get no exercise at all during the Winter months.Just because it is cold outside doesn t make it open season for an excuse not to exercise. There are multiple exercise options one can choose to participate in regardless of what the outdoor thermometer reads. Depending on your location and likes, you can choose to workout inside or outside. All that is required for Winter-time workouts is some planning and employing all safety precautions. If you prefer to workout outside, keep the following tips in mind.Get warm first. A proper warm-up is critical. Cold temperatures can make your muscles tight and therefore they are more prone to injuries. So, it s important to get them warmed-up prior to engaging in intense physical activity.Insulate your body. The best approach to dressing for outdoor exercise is with layers. Layering provides the most effective heating method, plus it allows you to remove the top layer if you get too hot. The layer closest to your skin should allow moisture to be wicked away. The top layer should be both wind and water resistant. No sweat. Don t assume that you have to sweat in order to get a good workout. You should avoid sweating that causes the clothing layer closest to your skin to get wet and cause you to be chilled. Instead monitor your intensity through a heart rate monitor or the Rating of Perceived Exertion.Don t strip when you get inside. While you may be tempted to immediately remove your layers when returning inside, give your body time to adjust. Post exercise hypothermia is possible. This happens when your body rapidly loses its heating stores.Drink up. It s just as important to stay hydrated when exercising in Winter as it is in Summer, even though you might not feel as thirsty.Lighten up. If possible, it s best to exercise outdoors during daylight areas. But, with shorten days that can be difficult to do. If you exercise outdoors when it is dark, wear reflective materials to ensure that you can be seen.If the thought of getting outside to exercise makes you dive under the covers, instead choose one of the many indoor workout options. Below are just a few of the many choices.1. Walk at an indoor location, like a mall. If you need extra motivation to get yourself to the mall, join a walking group. This will help you stay accountable to someone other than yourself.2.Join a health club. This will allow you a large variety of physical activities to choose from every week.3.Create a home gym. This doesn t have to be expensive. You can easily set-up a great workout routine with just a set of dumbbells, an exercise ball and a jump rope. Get all of this for around $50.

1. Drink plenty of water. Our body needs a lot of water so give in to water. Water is not just way to flush out toxin but if you have more water in your body you will generally feel healthier and fitter. This it self will discourage any tendency to gorge. The best thing about water is that is has no calories at all.2. Start your day with a glass of water. As soon as you wake up, gulp down a glass of cool water. Its a wonderful way to start you day and you only need a lesser quantity of your breakfast drink after that. A glass of water lets out all your digestive juices and sort of lubricates the insides of your body. You may have your morning cup of tea but have it after a glass of water. It is good for you.3. Drink a glass of water before you start the meal. Water naturally needs some space so that you feel fuller without actually having to stuff yourself.4. Have another glass of water while you are having the meal. Again this is another way of making yourself full so that you can actually rise from the table eating less but feeling full just the same. Instead of drinking it one gulp, take sips after each morsel. It will help the food to settle faster so that you get that feeling that you are full faster. SIDENOTE: Water is such a remarkable thing, but seldom do we give it the credit that it deserves. Did you know that over 66% of your body weight is nothing but water Its amazing! Water also plays a vital role in weight control, which is why I donated so much space to it, above.5. Stay away from sweetened bottle drinks, especially sodas. Hey all those colas and fizzy drinks are sweetened with sugar and sugar means calories. The more you can cut out on these sweetened bottle drinks, the better for you. So if you must drink sodas, then stick to diet sodas.6. Include in your diet things that contain more water like tomatoes and watermelons. These things contain 90 to 95 % water so that there is nothing that you have to lose by feasting on them. They fill you up without adding to the pounds.7. Eat fresh fruit instead of drinking fruit juice. Juice is often sweetened but fresh fruits have natural sugars. When you eat fruit, you are taking in a lot of fiber, which is needed by the body, and fruits of course are an excellent source of vitamins.8. If you do have a craving for fruit juice then go for fresh fruit juice instead of these that contain artificial flavors and colors. Or even better, try making your own fruit juice taking care not to sweeten it with too many calories.9. Choose fresh fruit to processed fruits. Processed and canned fruits do not have as much fiber as fresh fruit and processed and canned fruits are nearly always sweetened.10. Increase your fiber intake. Like I mentioned, the body needs a lot of fiber. So try to include in your diet as many fruits and vegetables as you can.

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, whichwill lead to increase of weight, or muscle growunderneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet withoutexercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. Fordiet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no foodafter 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending onyour initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. Ifyou don t eat wheat then you don t eat all those sticky, fatty goeycakes, you don t eat junk food, and you don t eat biscuits. But yourdiet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have tocalculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is themost efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight alot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to targetyour problem areas for men and women. It s not necessarily to become abodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help youto target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes. Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight. First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart. However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I ve found a great addition to help any one out, it s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace. com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it s the best pill I ve tried and I ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day. Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

Winter shouldn t make a difference, diet + exercise is key.Work out your needs here:http://www.freedieting.com/tools/calorieEat small frequent meals, add in some protein to meals, add cardio to your routine. The pounds should drop off.

Soup diet - eat broth based soups twice a day made with veggies and beans, a little meat but not a lot of pasta. Simple and it works. For variety make several different kinds of soups and freeze leftovers for later and also use canned soup.

Winter is bothering for all people especially for athletes because they have to train indoors. But for winter i use a stationary bike. You could buy a home gym and watch your diet.

What do i need to LOSE 25LBS in 1 MONTH ??????? -

Let me start off by saying i know what is healthy and all that im sure i will still get people that would like to reinform me that a healthy weight loss is no more than 2lbs a week so answer how you want to answer but im more interested in hearing from from that have actully been able to do this or know how i can acheive it a little background im 24years old and weigh 200lbs 5 5 have all the time in the world to exercise would like feedback on how to do this i dont have any eqipment but ready to work hard and do what it takes to be 25lbs lighter in one month i know my body and what it can do ive lost 15lbs in a month before i can do this just looking for some postiive answers so that i can make this happen o did i mention know a healthy weight loss is 2lbs a week please dont tell me that im not trying to be roud i just alreadyknow that if thats all you can answer with dont bother cause i already know not trying i dont care about doing it the correct way want to do it the fast way ??

Start out with a three day water fast to shrink your stomach.Do 20 minutes of cardio three to five times per day, evenly spaced.Eat very little...goes without saying...but all of it good protein and fresh veggies, low fat cottage cheese, green beans, broccoli, cauliflower..Drink lots of pure water with lemon juice in it.You could try a Liquithon. It s from Wholefood Farmacy (go to http://www.wholepurefood.com ) a lot of people lose a pound a day on these programs, you could do two in a row, and that would about get you there if you exercise and stay on the program.I would weight train, as well. The reason is that you will up your metabolism from it so do it every day. Upper body one day, lower body the next. You will also build some muscle, which is more compact than fat, so it looks like you lost more weight than you actually have.Good luck. You can do this, and as long as you eat nutrient dense whole foods, it s safer than the junk food diet that got you at the weight you are now. While you are on the Wholefood Farmacy website, watch the video how to get fat without really trying it s very informative, and it will teach you about proper nutrition.

history can repeat, do what you did when you lost 15 in a month but times that effort by 1.6 and you should have it. Try morning cardio before eating anything, shoot for 50 mins to an hr. Doesnt have to be hard core, you should be able to carry on a conversation while exercising. All-natural foods, i love plain dry whole rolled oatmeal with a glass of water for breakfast along with some vegs or a piece of fruit. Healthy eating and a.m cardio, thats all i can say without writing a thesis. Good Luck

Well, 25 pounds in one month is pretty dang ambitious, thats .83 pounds a day and if you manage to do it, you could probably sell your secret and make millions of dollars. I think the best way would probably be limit your caloric intake drastically, and work out about an hour a day, running or jogging or biking. Muscle helps you lose fat by increasing your metabolism, whereas cutting calories reduces your metabolism so it s probably better to do more exercise. Drink lots of water because in my experience it helps lose weight (though there is a possibility of temporary weight gain from water retention). And I m sure you know this, but you probably WILL gain the weight back when you stop the crash diet, but I bet if you just ease yourself off you can keep most of the weight off. It ll be a lot of work for you, but you re old enough to make your own diet decision I suppose, so good luck.
