When people ask how to lose weight on Y!A? -

Ok, say someone asks how to lose 50 pounds in 2 months. No one can deny that it would most likely be unhealthy. Does it bother anyone that many people who answer the questions are so quick to offer weight loss tips/motivation that are unhealthy and risky? In most cases, the people who ask these questions favor the people whos answers say go ahead. Honestly, this scares me. It makes me wonder if people are binge dieting and exercising in an attempt to drop huge amounts of weight in short periods of time all based on uneducated answers.

What bothers me also is that when you type in a question it comes up with similar ones, so cant they just read those instead of asking the same thing over and over. Education is not a major limitation to weight loss in most people. It food habits, eating out, lifestyle etc. Everyone knows that fad diets work short term, and you will gain it back. But they are after a quick fix. If I say healthy weight loss that can be maintained is 0.5-1kg, I get harassed, and thumbs down. They just don t want to know, its like shutting your ears to everything except what you want to hear. Good advice wont make a difference, they wont listen. When they are ready to lose weight properly they can see a doctor/ dietitian and they will lose the weight. But people who want quick fixes aren t serious about weight loss. They know its unhealthy, they aren t stupid, they just don t want to hear it. So telling them so wont make a difference.

i agree 100% with Ella too...it seems to me that when people ask here the same old question over and over again, its as though different age groups have different methods of losing weight?oh come on,all those fad diets just aim at burning muscle, not even a significant amount of fat at all...and they still wanna do it?the average homo sapien can only burn 2-4 pounds of fat per week, even under professional guidance and supervision..so why aim at losing beyond 12 lbs /month if you know any more than that its just muscle and water?in addition to the right combination of exercises and a low fat low carb portion controlled diet, faith and discipline is equally vital..yoga/pilates and dance videos are available online, and you can create your own diet at the comfort of your own home and do a daily 45 minute brisk walking routine at the comfort of your own neighbourhood, all for free!

I have a healthy weight loss tip: Listen to motivational music! If you listen to music geared toward weight loss, then you will be constantly reminded of your weight loss goal, and hopefully can help fight the temptation for that extra cookie. I have been referred to SkinnySongs. http://www.skinnysongs.com It s been on the Martha Stewart show too, so you can believe it s Martha approved!

I agree. And whats even more fustrating is you try and tell them the healthy way to lose weight, but you know they are going to listen to the moron that has no clue, saying, yeah, this is how to lose it real fast.

I ve wondered the same thing. People are quick to say, Lose 60 pounds in a month? Sure, no problem.

I highly agree with Ella L

Weight Loss Tips? WITHOUT Extreme Dieting OR Pills?!? -

I want to shed a few pounds, like, 10 to 20. Any tips? I need to do this NOW! I have like, about 2 weeks at the most.

Running and stretching is crucial to some great weight loss. 20 minutes running in the morning is a good starter to your day and is fast and easy. Eat foods that have a lot of water in them (fruits, veggies, broth-based soups, etc.) and drink a lot of water (stay away from liquids with calories). Stretching before bed and when you wake up helps too.

I just read this awesome article about weight loss tips. I am sure I will be incorporating some of them. Here is the link:http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/816095/the_best_ways_to_maximize_your_weight.html?cat=51I guess she is writing 2 more articles around the same subject. I can t wait to see the rest of her advice because I really enjoyed the first article! Good Luck!!

People who want to lose weight commonly, and first of all, think about reducing the amount of food they eat. This may be quite a solution but not exactly the best there is. In fact, depending on the amount you reduce in your food intake, it may even be dangerous to one s health. So how does one lose weight effectively and safely? Here are some points one should consider when trying to lose weight:http://fast-weightloss-plans.blogspot.coBeware of the Crash DietsMost people think that trimming down the calories can alone shed off their unwanted excess. Probably this is because of the fad there is in advertising about low-calorie food products and beverages. What people don t know is that this could be dangerous because when they decrease their calorie intake way to below the required levels, the body begins to digest the fats. Sounds good but it doesn t actually. Burning fat requires a lot of energy. Since there is not much energy in the body to facilitate metabolism of fat, it will run at a very slow pace resulting to fatigue, illness and weak immune system.Low-calorie diet is also compensated for by the body by burning muscle. People on this type of diet who revert back to their old eating habits end up gaining back some, if not all the weight they have shed off. This would consist mainly of fats. And since fats have more volume per mass than muscle, they end up having the same weight as before but more bulkier. In losing weight, one should keep in mind that they should lose excess body fats only. However, one can try out eating small meals at more frequent intervals. This way the body will not think that it is being starved and will not store food as fat.Eat ProperlyOne may have considered junking the crash diet option but he should also not forget to watch what he is eating. Variety must always be considered so that one may be able to get the necessary nutrients from his diet.It is also healthier to eat food which are roasted, steamed or broiled rather than fried. It is also important to include a lot of fiber in the diet. Frequent rehydration is also necessary.Pump Up lean Muscle MassMuscles burn calories when they work; they even do so at rest. Unlike fats which just lie around, bulge around the pants and dangle beneath the sleeves, muscles burn calories all-day round. With this fact, one can start weight loss by increasing muscle mass. The more muscles, the less fat will be left. This is attainable starting with working out with resistance exercises.Engaging in AerobicsAerobics are not only good for the heart by increasing cardio-vascular endurance. Aerobics also help in increasing lean muscle mass while simultaneously decreasing excess body fat. Aside from these, aerobics make the metebolic process more efficient and its rate high, even after a long while. Imagine burning fat efficiently while driving along the freeway or even while watching television.Extra Push Some people believe that smoking and caffeine can actually help in losing weight. This can perhaps be true; however, they do the body more harm than good because of their side-effects. For that extra push , one can try out taking food supplements. Afterall, 95% of these products out in the market actually does good.On Taking Diet Pills Over-the-counter diet pills affect the amount of weight one loses as well as how long one keeps that amount of weight off. However, one must be wary of the side-effects of these diet pills. As such, one must faithfully follow the instructions provided for in the packaging. It is also prudent to consult the physician anyway before trying out these drugs and also to find out which type would be best for the individual.Losing weight does not have to mean sacrifice and suffering. It actually means opening up to a more full and healthy life where one may not have to feel bad about himself having to look the way he does or not being able to do what he wants to do. Losing weight might entail a little adjustments plus the discomforts, but as the old saying goes, no pain, no gain. Besides fat, what has one got to lose anyway?More Info Check Out : http://fast-weightloss-plans.blogspot.co

Weight loss tips...please help!!? -

so im 14 and would like some easy weight loss tips can ne one please help me!!?? thankx :]

See: http://www.mikibo.com http://www.weightloss.com.au http://tinyurl.com/28sfeb http://www.weightonline.com.au http://www.calorieking.com.au You can eat a LOT, yet still lose weight, and have a LITTLE of your favorites every day, to prevent cravings, by consuming mostly low energy foods, such as cucumber, tomato, capsicum/bell peppers, celery, onion slices pickled in vinegar, lettuce, grated carrot, cabbage, a few spears of asparagus, watercress, alfalfa, bamboo shoots, spinach, bean sprouts, capers, a few olives, etc., with some lean protein, to delay the emptying of your stomach. One of the tips at E diets.com is to drink 32 U.S. fluid ounces, or 4 x 250 ml glasses of cold water, just after arising, which will boost your metabolic rate all day, and have something to eat, preferably high in protein, within 30 mns, or your body will slow its metabolism. Have a large glass of water 20 mns before eating a meal. If you don t drink enough water, you won t lose weight as quickly! A tip from http://www.mercola.com is to stir half a teaspoonful of hot paprika, or chilli powder, into a glass of water, and drink it just before eating, and you will eat less, as a result. Also consider signing up for their regular, free Ezine, as well; I have learned a LOT from it! Most people are suggestible, to some degree, so you could either seek professional hypnotherapy, or see http://your-mental-health.8m.com/blank_1 for more along such lines. Google: 5htp; weight loss

Since I have no idea what your diet is like, I cannot suggest changes other than what I can assume. Thus, I would suggest that you cut out all of you calorie consuming drinks and just stick to water. This is not only healthy, put practical (price wise). It also makes your skin looking clear and beautiful. You should more importantly start hitting the gym or play some sport. There should be no excuses to getting 40-60 minutes of aerobic exercise daily. If you want to shed pounds, you have to workout. Next, if your eating fatty meats (beef, pork, veal, etc.), you should switch over to lean meats such as fish, chicken, and turkey. Like I said before, I do not know your personal diet and this is the best I can do.

You need to add specific Details, How much you weigh, your height. Pictures maybe? What your willing to do to lose weight. What I started out with was mostly sports, I started out with football, then went to two sports, football and wrestling, then to 3 sports, football wrestling and baseball, then to 4 sports, football, wrestling, baseball, motocross. then I went to track.I spend hours in the gym, 1 or 2. Sometimes 30 minutes depending on what i had to do and what the day was. I also ate really healthy, drank milk often, im a guy so i drink protein shakes a lot, but i also eat a lot of subs, salads, such and such. I lost about 20% body fat within 1 and a half months.Answer my question?

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart. However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I ve found a great addition to help any one out, it s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it s the best pill I ve tried and I ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

If you know right diet info you can lose weight. I use the way here this site and I lost 9 pounds in 3 weeks. It is very fast to lose weight. You can find my diet way that lost me 23 pounds in 50 days here link below.
