Weight loss tips and breast feeding? -

my son is 8 days old today (born by emergency c-section at 37 weeks). i am currently formula feeding and pumping (i don t have enough milk for exclusive breast feeding). i would like to start getting back in shape. i drink plenty of water, and am starting to watch what i eat better (the past few days, i admit, i have not been eating well (healthy)!)i don t want what little milk i have to dry up, so i m trying to not restrict calories to much. i am walking as far as i can stand to right now, which i can now walk much further now that the staples are out (got them out yesterday!).what tips do you have for continued breast feeding/pumping and trying to loose weight?thanks

Do not restrict calories at all. Eat healthy, but eat when you re hungry and allow yourself treats. Don t worry about losing weight until after your six week checkup. By then I d lost all the weight, but I was definitely not the same shape. I started exercising at that point and things are going well so far.Breastfeeding will make you hungrier than you were when you were pregnant (at least it did me) and it s important that you eat as much as you need.

Not sure don t have any babies yet.

It is much to early for you to be worried about this. Focus on taking care of yourself and your baby right now. Nursing burns about 500 calories a day so keep that up and you will be surprised how the weight comes off. You need the calories to keep your milk up so don t restrict eating. Get some sleep and enjoy that baby, the weight will take care of itself as long as you are patient.

You need to wait until after your 6 week check up to diet and exercise.

I gained 5 pounds in 2 days? -

My weight limit is 180 max. I m at 175. Should i be worried. And yes i weighted myself in the morning. Im usually around 168ish. With only a few days left till I head to meps then Basic training AF; any quick weight loss tips just in case it gets to that point. I guess im getting nervous and eating like crazy i dont know.

Don t bend your elbows.Drink at least 2 quarts of water a day and run. Don t eat anything for the next few days except fruit.

Don t worry about it. If you do happen to pass the weight limit by a few or on the dot they ll measure your weight mass and if it passes 5% your done though.For example the weight limit for 5 8 is 150 but this guy is 5 8 and hes 200 pounds but hes all muscle and no fat.Basically they measure your fat and muscle percentage if your over your weight limit.

Hey what s up Ryan. I m also leaving for the Air Force in a few months. When you go running and exercising be sure to wear a couple a shirts plus a long sleeve shirt so you can sweat big time. It may sound a little extreme but make sure when you work out you sweat as much as possible. You should be fine though, because even if you tip the scale at like 181 they will do a body fat meaurement. Holla back at me

go to wal-mart and buy a sauna suit and run a couple miles, you can lose 4 to 5 pounds of water weight in one run, worked for me

Don t worry. eating salty food or even a lot of red meat will do that. Drink a little more water, lay off the steak and you ll be fine.

Start eating healthier and start to work out a lot more

You will be fine.. do not change anything you are doing! you may honestly just need to go #1 or #2! that s all man! don t worry about it

I am going to be trying to lose 20 pounds by the end/mid of June, so in order to do that, I need to lose about 2 pounds a week. I know this is doable as I know people who have done it (through the atkins diet which I think is a bit too unhealthy for my liking). I am just curious if anyone knows how many calories I should be eating per day. I weigh 138 and am 5 4 (female). I have already cut white bread and sugars out but I just want to know if anyone has any additional tips that will help or any specific exercises that will help. Also, is there anything I should incorporate into my diet?Any help would be appreciated!

the best and easiest thing to do is when ur at home and on the phone walk around the yard not to slow and ull get a good workout by 3 ten minute conversations. also id eat around 1300 calories a day. and jog an hr on days off

Any weight loss tips? -

I am losing weight. And I just need to lose 5 more lbs. I am at 150 lbs and I want to be at 145 lbs. I eat special K cereal before my work out. And I eat under 1000 calories. I do drink only water. I go to the gym 7 days a week. I walk to and from the gym. I won t put pop or candy in my body.

Teen weight loss tips...? -

Im fourteen and very active. Im 5 8 and now 147, which i hae never been this heavy, which is making me seriously depressed. I would think being so active would not make me gain weight, but i want to loose about 25 pounds. I know it is bad but ive tried not eating and that doesnt seem to work either. please give me some tips.please help

the acai berry thing is just an ad by the company... ignore it.Not eating doesn t work because then your body goes into what s called starvation mode and when you finally do eat your body stores it all as fat and doesn t burn it. I d suggest eating 5-6 small meals throughout the day to keep your metabolism going so less food is stored as fat. Don t eat lots of sugars or salts, and make sure your diet is balanced. Cutting out whole food groups won t help. Fruits and veggies instead of sweets, lightly salted nuts instead of chips. A lot of times your body can confuse thirst with hunger, so stay hydrated. Keep a bottle of water with you at all times. You ll have to pee a lot, but it s worth it.As for excercise- cardio is key for burning fat. Running, dancing, swimming, etc. Once you have burned the fat, you can focus more on toning through weight training and ab excercises.Remember- your young and may be going through a growth spurt, so no crazy diets or anything okay? Please dont listen to the bullshit people are telling you. I ve seen the same acai berry comment and p90x **** on like 352352346246 questions already. Just drink alot of water like 2 glasses for every meal drink green tea like 3 times a day go running for like 45 minutes a day. I Suggest going to the gym or joining one and lift light weights to get tone and boost metabolism. Im telling you that soon you will be very fit. And dont eat any junk food at all just good things dont forget breakfast really is the most important meal of the day. I also suggest eating 4-5 small meals a day and chew as much as u possible can. Loosing weight can be hard but the trick is eat right and sweat sweat SWEAT.

I am 14 about 185 and 5 feet 11 inches or so. on a normal week i go to jujistu class 2 times for 2 hours and on every other day i work out on the bag and basic stuff for about 1 hour.What kind of foods should i eat and what kind of foods should i stay away from.

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart.However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I ve found a great addition to help any one out, it s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. First, 148 isn t so fat . If you re 5 7 or higher, it s actually normal.However, this diet:Make sure you drink lots and lots of water, green tea, and coffee (not too much sugar, tho!)Lots and lots of fresh veggies. I don t care what your diet says, these are GOOD!Good carbs: whole wheat bread, whole wheat noodles, brown rice, or potatoes... but limit these, as they are starches and fill you up fast.Meat, nuts, and beans are necessary, too... fish is very, very healthy... but these should also be limited to maybe one portion every two days.Milk, yoghurt, cheese, and butter... are good, but I d keep it down as much as possible. If you count calories, try to keep it under 1700... and as you lose weight, lessen the calories until they re about 1500 (but not less!)Exercise!!!!! Walk instead of drive, or bike. Swimming is probably the best exercise for your entire body. Dancing is a lot of fun, so are other sports, if you re a sport person. Your body needs to burn calories to lose lbs. Yea i can help you drink lots of water and this might sound weird lol but checking if your pee is dark and light is something you should do if its light your drinking enough water and should keep at it to lose more weight and if its dark you need to drink some more and more till it turns light it really helps and keeps you healthy=]
