What are some foods that burn fat naturally? -

Does drinking green tea really help promote healthy weight loss?

Technically no food burns fat when you eat it. Burning fat requires eating fewer calories overall than you burn. (Or burning more than you eat- one requires exercise the other requires dietary discipline- both is best). Celery is about 10 calories, and provides a lot of fiber. So in that regard, it is a good snack to help lower the calorie consumption.Grapefruit is also said to be beneficial to your metabolism.Green Tea does not necessarily promote weight loss unless you look at it as a substitute for higher calorie beverages such as soda. Then in that respect it does. Caffeine is a stimulant and some believe it helps you burn better but I haven t seen the effects notable enough to promote weight loss alone. Green Tea also has some great antioxidant properties and is believed to provide health benefits such as lowering risk for cancer. If you are looking to lose weight the best way is to create a calorie deficit every day. Either exercise so you are burning more than you eat, or eat so you are consuming less than you burn- or do a blend of both which is best. A deficit of 500 calories per day will take off 1 lb per week which is a healthy rate of weight loss (3500 calories per pound of fat, about 7500 calories per kg). Remember you still need carbs- contrary to the popular craze. Things like veggies, fresh fruits (not juice), and whole wheat breads and pastas are all good sources. And good protein intake, and low saturated fat. These are building blocks towards a healthy diet. Green Tea, celery, grapefruit are all things that can contribute but if you re still scarfing down big macs and sodas it won t help much.Good luck!

romer 151;I think the only foods that you will find that burn fat naturally are1: fantasy fruit2: imagination vegetables3: super organic vitamin water made with all natural ingredients. When you think of what the nature of food is it is a fuel source and a source of building blocks necessary to make proteins. Trying to find a food item that causes fat to burn is like trying to find a gasoline which will give you less than 0 mpg. There are a few food items (celery is the most commonly quoted one) which contribute very little energy to the human body, but since they require energy to be digested and processed they are sometimes considered net loss foods. If you think about it, in concept these foods act almost like someone eating very small Styrofoam pellets (I am not suggesting that, only using it as an example from a physiology standpoint). Or you can consider them like a trip to the gym, except that now it is the gastrointestinal gym rather than skeletal muscle gym. If you are looking for something to fill your stomach with and you want no intake of energy then it is reasonable to consider using these types of foods rather than higher calorie foods. I ve provided a link to a site which lists some of the negative calorie foods. It s important also to realize what s happening with these types of foods. You are not burning fat because of the food, you are burning fat because of increased gastrointestinal work that isn t being fueled by the item you are eating/digesting. I can imagine that a diet based on this type of food intake will likely be deficient in some type of nutrient. The individual items may be high in certain vitamins and minerals but the balance in nature is a wonderful thing. Look at what cows eat, and look at the weight of a cow. There is a balance between calorie intake and physical activity/exercise.I had also seen some reference to a metabolism booster, and a question about green tea. Green tea is not a metabolism booster it s a stimulant. All you have to do is watch a few cops episodes and you ll see some people on methamphetamine that have no weight problem at all. They re down to skin and bones no matter what they eat because they re chronically taking stimulants.Tea has earned a reputation recently as being practically the cure-all of the Western diet/laziness. However, in my opinion I think taking in stimulant s to promote weight loss is a risky process and I would not be at all surprised if 10-40 years from now we end up finding a lot of people having medical problems as a side effect of chronic caffeine/stimulant usage years prior. I was looking back over some of the answers that have already been posted. I saw one suggesting that blueberries and apples are good foods. If that is the case then why do bears bulk up on berries before hibernating. They do that so that they can fatten up for the winter, this is obviously in combination with any meat that they can secure as well. Someone else had also suggested that green tea will help especially if you had been a soda drinker prior to this. This would also be the case if you switched from a soda to water. The main thing in that case is that you have deleted a higher calorie drink in favor of something lower in calories. The fact that the drink is tea is only a benefit as it is a stimulant. Remember the phen-fen problems of a few years ago? I realize that it is highly unlikely that green tea will cause the problems that these medications caused however, there had been many times in the history of medicine where a shortcut turned out to be much more toxic to the person than even the original problem would have been. The formula for weight loss is simple, calories out must exceed calories in (calories out being a combination of basal metabolic rate combined with exercise). If you really think something is a metabolism booster ,or a fat burner, then get yourself a good thermometer, take your temperatue before using whatever pill/food/supplement you are using and then take your temp 30 minutes,60 minutes and 90 minutes later. Any trend? probably not unless you went for a walk/run/workout. If the food/supplement is burning fat, then where is the heat?

Drinking green tea is healthy, flavor it with Lemon, avoid sugar. Yes, it will promote weight loss if you were a soda drinker, and and are now consuming 100. less calories per drink. Be sensible and consume a healthy food choice, of fruits vegetables whole graind and some protein. fish and nuts. You should also be active and do some excercise, and you will not have any problems with weight.

green tea does work. I ve just started that. what it does is increase your metabolism so you burn more calories when you exercise.blueberries and apples are really good for burning fat. good luck sweetie!

well don t just depend on foods alone... but the list isgrapefruitsomega 369vinegarlemonsextra virgin olive oil

Low GI recipe ideas and weight loss tips for PCOS sufferers? -

I ve been diagnosed with PCOS and it s been suggested I follow a low GI diet. Most of the recipes I can find are based around things like tofu and whatnot. I was wondering if anyone has any what I call real food recipe ideas or tips for snacks, etc. Thanks :)

heya honey! i know what its like - isuffer as wel!! i have great drs and now also see a dietician! she told me the best way to do it is to eat a bit of everything - dairy, protien, carbs and fat in small amounts a fewtimes a day. Pulses and things like that are great also quorn my dietician told me was great! i would like to say something about another answer here - birth control pills have been found to make symptoms worse in a lot of PCOS sufferers i was one of them! u need to find out ur exact hormone levels before that can be an option i was nearly in hosp on mine! the metformin is also good if u are a larger cyster and helps with MANY of the symptomsi know a great support site great for help and/or research!www.soulcysters.net(my name is tinkerbelle84 on it if u wanna talk)

try the gi bikini diet.it has gr8 recipes and explains the real way how the body functions and how insulin makes fat ! Report Abuse

I assume you are speaking about Polycystic ovarian syndrome, and not some other esoteric disease i have not heard about....Birth control pills. For women who dont want to become pregnant, birth control pills can regulate menstrual cycles, reduce male hormone levels, and help to clear acne. However, the birth control pill does not cure PCOS. The menstrual cycle will become abnormal again if the pill is stopped. Women may also think about taking a pill that only has progesterone, like Provera, to regulate the menstrual cycle and prevent endometrial problems. But progesterone alone does not help reduce acne and hair growth. Diabetes Medications. The medicine, Metformin, also called Glucophage, which is used to treat type 2 diabetes, also helps with PCOS symptoms. Metformin affects the way insulin regulates glucose and decreases the testosterone production. Abnormal hair growth will slow down and ovulation may return after a few months of use. These medications will not cause a person to become diabetic. I have never heard of a low GI diet. I am assuming that your physician prescribed a weight loss regimen for you. Any diet that balances proteins with carbohydrates and fats like weight watchers, jenny craig, etc, would be sufficient. Getting more exercise to increase your metabolism would be helpful as well.Since obesity is common with PCOS, a healthy diet and physical activity help maintain a healthy weight, which will help the body lower glucose levels, use insulin more efficiently, and may help restore a normal period. Even loss of 10% of her body weight can help make a woman s cycle more regular.

A diabetic diet. And read up on hormone imbalance - try the book ageless .

i know how you feel my doc says i might have it and iam so nervous that i might need to get my ovaries cut away...iam a medium sized girl and any diet i have done iam still the same build even though i have lost a few pounds but thats it...i do stress how you feel i wish you didnt have it xxxx

I try to keep to a low GI way of eating. I buy the food dr bagols they are filling and delicious. I make myself a meal of onions, peppers, mushrooms and any other veggies I like. I make it into a curry then add garlic and tofu or soya mince. serve it with brown rice. As a snack I enjoy pita bread with humous, sprinkle praprika and a little olive oil over the humous to serve . I always toast the pitta bread but everyone has their own taste. serve it with a large salad. weight loss, I ve lost 3 stone by making one desertspoon honey 2 caps of cyder apple vinegar in a large cup of warm or hot water, drink this with your breakfast and evening meal. IT WORKS. YOU DO GET USED TO IT. Thats a tip for all who want to lose weight.

Healthy weight loss tips? -

In other words, I need help but nothing extreme. Here s my situation: I started to keep a food journal a few months and realized I was eating over 3000 calories a day. I have since cut that down to 1800-2000 a day. I have lost about 10 pounds in 3 months, but I feel like there s more I can do.I work full time and am a full time mom, and it s hard to get to the gym when there s too much to do around the house. I ve been trying to get out and start jogging, but I ve been hit with a bout of a cold and couldn t make it out there.ANY helpful tips, especially things I can do at home, are greatly appreciated.Food-wise I m not bad. I just have a hard time with fruit, no matter how hard I try. I ve been drinking V8 Fusion juice, which is better than nothing, but it s no substitute for REAL fruit. When I was 17, I lost 52 inches by running 12 minutes each night in my basement. That was now nearly a decade ago and now I have trouble having energy after I put my kids to bed to do anything other than do dishes. I know I can do it, and I have motivation - my sister is getting married and has aked me to be the matron of honor. I want to drop 2-3 dress sizes in a year, and I know it s possible, but I just don t know what to do to help stay on track.

Get Rid Of Belly Fat - Exercises to Lose My TummyStuck on how to choose a good legislation or product to squander fat off of your tummy. Are you saying how do I find exercises to lose my tummy with so many options to pick from? I was if your particularly position one day a additonally back. The best way to lose the weight is diet and excercise. The belly fat would probably come from just eating processed foods and causing some back up in your colon walls. Detox formulas work well to lose that. In terms eating however, it would be wise to eat more fruits and vegetables. All are good, just choose your favorite ones. Hopefully you are not allergic. Taste is important.Finally. Exercise. Depending on how fast you want to lose the weight, you will have to increase the amount of times you should visit the gym. Doing weight training is not a bad idea for a girl. You want to create some muscle so that fat can dissolve better. (It is more soluble in muscle than in fat tissue)But i don t want to look huge?Don t worry it s impossible for you to look like Arnold Schwarzenneger. Nearly impossible. So weights are your friend. Believe me.

Strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries, apples and bananas. As for exercises anything that is cardio will burn fat. So that could be running, jump roping, walking, crunches, sit ups, just moving throughout the day helps. I run every morning and eat a crap load of veggies and nuts, peanut butter and tofu and I lost my stomach

You can t just lose fat and not be doing a weight loss program, so your question doesn t make sense to me.Do you mean you would like to build muscle? Try pilates. Why are you so obsessed about fruits? O_o A fruit is a fruit. Some have lower calories; they are all healthy for you. If you want to cut calories, eat vegetables.

Hi I know this not what you want to here, but if you want to lose belly fat, then you have to cut back on your calories. www.how-2-lose-body-fat.com explains in great detail how to properly lose belly fat.

Pull your tummy muscles in as much as you can, and do it as often as you can.

ab crunches, and any fruits would be ok

Give me one sure fire remedy for weight loss.? -

I have tried a lot of weight loss program including intake of Hoodia Gordonii. But still my weight is 220 lbs.I am about 42 years and am 5 .11 tall.

Just a guess here, you don t eat breakfast do you? I didn t think so. Don t skip breakfast and you will lose weight, it revs up your metabolism. Also, no portions bigger than one cup. Twice as many veggies as meat. And when you buy yogurt (and most everything else)look for the culprit, high frutcose corn syrup. The only brand I have found that doesnt have this is Blue Bunny.

Follow these rules and you will lose weight permanently and safely.1. Buy 25 vanilla or pina colada yogurts and 6 one pound bags of pexans and 10 Healthy Choice tv dinners.2. Every day eat one yogurt with a handful of pecans 2 times daily.3. Drink lots of water.4.One or 2 days per week, eat a healthy Choice dinner5.Exercise for 30 mins. a day four times a week.6. Take a vitamin every day.7 When you drink milk, drink Braum s skim onlyLet me know when you have lost 25 lbs!!!It worked for me and it s 3 years later now

I ve weight trained and coached people in the gym for over 25 years. Here s what I ve found that works best-Contrary to one of the previous posts, skip breakfast and go to the gym. With nothing in your system, especially blood-sugar, your body is forced to burn body fat for fuel. This will aid in weight-loss. Consume a product that replenishes nutrients and adds protein after your work-out.I recommend STACK. It s a weight-loss system. Everyone I recommend it to loses weight fast - about 1 pound a day.I find that it s actually working better for those who do not exercise, compared to those who do...So, you use STACK for breakfast, eat lunch, STACK for dinner and fruit, berries, etc. in between meals.Drink LOTS of water!I hope this helps.

Try Weight Watchers. It is one of the most successful programs out there, mainly because the people that lose weight there have a much higher success rate of keeping it off. It is also fun, because it is very social, and the eating program teaches you how to maintain the new lower weight for life. You don t have to buy special food or pills, and it is so very sensible. I tried other things and failed, but I lost almost 50 pounds with WW, and it has indeed stayed off!

If weight loss is what you re looking for then here s what you need. The best combination for weight loss is calorie restriction, resistance training, and aerobic work. Let s start with calorie restriction. Over the years I have had personal training clients as well as athletes come to me wondering why they are not losing weight. They tell me they eat right, exercise right, say their prayers, eat their vitamins, etc., and they just can t seem to lose weight. Well, most of the time, once I really get to know them, I find that nutrition is the culprit. You need to know what you re eating. Most of the people I m talking about all thought they did. How do you change this? Well, it may sound tough, but it s not that bad. You need to keep track of what you eat for 2 days over the week, and 1 day over the weekend. Next, go to you re local book store. You can find charts, books, and computer programs that will help you analyze the foods you ate. Another suggestion would be to take your dietary recall to a nutritionist or exercise physiologist at your local college and let them find it for you. These recalls will tell you how many calories you re getting plus where they are coming from. For example, are they coming from protein, carbohydrate, or fat. It will help you see where you stand nutritionally. Next, you need to get on a good strength program. When a person is losing weight, the weight comes from fat, as well as muscle. That s kind of an unfortunate thing because muscle is an important thing when keeping metabolism high. There is enough research out there to safely say that when going through a phase of high intensity aerobic work and calorie restriction, strength training decreases muscle wasting. So, in short, strength-train. It s important. I wouldn t strength-train for anymore that 20 to 30 minutes. You can get what you need in a short period of time. After the strength training, it s time to get on the bike, treadmill, stepper, track, whatever. Keep your workouts to 30 minutes and up in order to burn the calories. Train between 3 to 5 times per week. Keep your heart rate at 60 to 90% of heart rate max. Don t look at losing weight as some mysterious monster that you can t get the reins on. Look at it as nothing more than stored energy. That s what fat is?stored energy. If you had a tank full of energy and it kept filling up higher and higher, what would you do to keep your tank from growing too large from the excess energy? Well, burn some of the energy off. That s what you need to do to lose weight. Keep the energy in lower than the energy out and abracadabra, you re losing weight. Note: You need to change your routine every 2-3 weeks in order to get the best results. Weight Watchers works really well because you can eat whatever foods you want as long as you stay in the calorie range that is recommended for your weight. You can do moderate exercise like walking and still lose weight. I did it and lost 35 pounds and it was pretty easy. You don t even have to go to those meetings they have either...I bought my stuff on Ebay. If you reduce your intake of calories and get some exercise the weight should come right off. You have to make some changes in your lifestyle especially with eating habits...but nothing good comes easy and it certainly doesn t come without some effort. Good Luck!

Eat breakfast.

look the best thing for loss weight its to stop eating after 5 pm and take a good breakfast and middle lunch , if you can to do some sport in the morning is so good , but forget the drug because it well not give you good result aslo depend on dates and milk and appel when you feel hungry , I was lost 20 kg in 6 monthpls try it

Visit the gym,try yoga, and eat healthy.

I need to gain weight...? -

I need help in gaining weight. I am tired of being small. I have 3 kids and I am still small. My mom doesn t have a small weight issue and my dad works out to keep himself in shape so it s weird that I turn out like this. I hate it when people tell me that they wish they were my size because I be wishing they were they size. I tired of seeing all the weight loss programs and vitamins. Can anyone give me some advice in gaining weight. I already tried ensure, boost, and eating a lot.

why would you gain weight--unless you are dangerously thin. if it s about appearance, it s stupid to do something like that for vanity. why risk clogging your arteries and hurting your health just cause you are sick of being thin. let your body maintain it s natural weight--it s what s best for your own body.

eat eat eat, thats all we can say. I wouldn t load yourself with alot of fried foods, because that s just unhealthy....but eat alot of carbs and protein. If you can get in about 1/2 to 1 gram (protein and carbs) per pound of body weight you want to be then that should help. Also the times you eat. Eat late at night and as soon as you wake up to stop your fasting cycle...hence break-FAST. Good luck!

Start workout, and take supplements.
