How to lose weight gained back from a diet? -

i was on the atkins diet and i gained everything back after i stopped wat should i do?

The reason you gained everything back is because the atkins diet tells you what to eat and doesnt teach you anything about nutrition and weight maintenance. so as soon as you stop your right back to your old habits because it didnt teach you anything. The same thing happens to a lot of ppl who take those diet pills on tv as soon as they stop they gain it all back because their diet didnt teach them anything. You need to look on the internet about the number of calories and how much fat and stuff like that you should be taking in daily or see a dietitian and dont think of it as a diet because it shouldnt be it should be a permanent change in your life and you ll overtime lose more than you did on the atkins and you ll be able to keep it off. That sucks. Whatever you do try not to go down that same path again. Eat a very steady diet of 1200 calories a day..mostly fruits and vegetables, along with daily multivitamins, fish oil, flax, and B6.

You might think about trying this book called The Movie Star Diet by Steve Simmons. It helped me lose thirty pounds in 2 1/2 months when I didn t think anything would work. My goal to begin with was only 20 lbs! It has a really easy plan to follow and an excellent workout as well.

Push ups, jumping jacks, running in place are all good ways to burn calories without equipment. Find some good books at the library on proper meal planning, emphasize fruits, veggies, and whole grains. Make sure you burn more calories than you consume each day and you ll lose weight.Karl

you should eat at least 4-5 meals a day.drink lots of water, and eat regularly. don t starve yourself, because once you start eating again, you ll gain everything back, trust me.eat lots of fruits and veggies, and if you eat bread, make sure it s whole grain. white bread is pretty fattening. you can also eat lean meats, like fish, turkey and chicken breast. eggs also help when trying to lose weight.skip out on sweets, candy, sugary foods, chips, ice cream, cake, and cookies.if you feel hungry, but don t want to over eat, chew gum. it ll keep your mouth busy and it tricks yourself into thinking your eating.cut out ALL soda! if you stop drinking soda, it helps you out a lot!and don t forget to exercise!try walking, jogging, jump rope, dancing, crunches, bike riding and swimming. try exercising for 45-80 minutes a day.good luck!

If your only 13 don t take any pills.Your probably to young for most.I m only almost 15 ;but i d say that since your still growing and stuff the best you can do it just eat healthier , drink lots of water , exercise any way , and maybe lifting weights are something would be an easy help, since you want to lose the weight in your arms. so i want to lose weight this summer...about 30 pounds. it sounds like a lot but i have A LOT to lose. anyhow, any tips on how i can do it. i know drink lots of water, veggies, fruit, ... i hate exercise so what should i do? .. any tips would be good. thanks a bunch!

no matter what, you do have to excercise to lost that much weight, but i am guessing you only hate it because you are not doing the right thing. call around to your local gyms to find a class that you would enjoy. i reccommend pilates, but maybe a jazzercise class or a swim team or learning to surf would be more up your ally. try a boot bamp to jump start your weight loss (again, at a local fitness studio). they are usually expensive, difficult and really really effective. buy some workout DVDs. (make sure you do some excercise every single day--about 45 minutes)no sugar (try giving it up all week and just eating it on fridays...)no TV. anything is better than TV as far as losing weight.don t base it on weight. instead, have your mom take a before picture of you in your undies and then don t look at it for like three weeks. take another one and compare.try doing one minute of crunches every night. you can do ANYTHING for one single minute.get a weight loss book. try toning for teens (whether or not you are a teenager--it s a really good book.shop full--the easiest way to not eat junk is to not buy it and you are more likely to put it in your cart if you are hungry. and just DON T walk down the ice cream aisle. make a shopping list.go to the library and check out a bunch of recepie books. not dessert ones.get your family on your side: they can be supportive. and if they are not in on your plan they can be detrimental to your new lifestyle without even knowing it.the biggest thing is to remember is that if you fail in something, try again. just keep working at it and you will succeed. good luck!!!

i was looking this up and it said all you have to do is eat less calories than you do. You need to have very balanced meals. You shouldn t just eat a lot to get nutrition. You have to make sure each of your meals have vitamins, nutrients, protein, carbs, fiber, etc. Try to stay away from all sugary drinks and extremely sugary foods. Stick with water =D Exercise... Running or swimming are simply the best work-outs. Cardio is most important and it s the only way of exercise that actually burns fat. All crunches that you do are only working your abdominal muscles and not burning anything. It s good to do that too, though! Make sure you tone your muscles but do cardio more than anything. Start out slow. Run maybe half a mile, but if you can do more then do more. Start out there and do that for a week or two. Then move on to a mile. Keep building from there. Try to do a simple walk after each meal. After breakfast try to walk outside for 10 minutes. After lunch you shouldn t because that will probably be the time of your daily workout of cardio and muscle toning. After dinner, a nice walk outside would be nice in the cool night air. Consistency is key!! Make sure you stick with what you say! Everything is easier said than done for sure. If you start out doing this daily, make sure you keep it that way! Eat as close to un-messed with food as possible (in other words... the less additives, the closer to raw, the fewer additives the better) and exercise at least five days a week. You do that... Unless you have some medical condition affecting your ability to lose weight...you will lose weight.

There is a very good reason for this. You lose weight in the order it was put on, and this differs from males to females. Females gain weight first in the thighs/hips, then butt, then stomach, and finally breasts. So, as you lose weight, you re going take it off in reverse order...breasts first (I know it s depressing!) and then stomach, butt, and thighs. Stick with it and you ll get back to a good shape, but understand that your breast fat won t come back.
