Help me with a healthy weight loss? -

I weight about 11 stone a half. I m 5 foot 7, bust 36 waist 30 hips 38 I want to get to 10 stone maybe. I need tips for a diet (but keep in mind I cant control what I eat at dinner time) and exercise plan that isn t too difficult for someone who is a stranger to hard exerciseBut not a diet which is fad, I don t want to have to cut out food groups because I know it s unhealthy.

First check out what is your blood group and what diet is good for your health .Basically there are 3 types of Diet+ ----- HIGHLY BENEFICIAL, FOOD ACTS LIKE MEDICINEO ----- NEUTRAL FOOD X ----- AVOID, FOOD ACTS LIKE A POISONCheck out what diet helps lose or gain weight and what diet is really good to be healthy based on your blood group .Inorder to Lose Weight eat 5 Small meals every 2 hours a day . Remember that the key to losing weight is burning more calories than you eat. So you can make some minor adjustments to your diet, and then just excercise. I don t remember the exact number, but I think you re supposed to get 20 minutes of continuous cardiovascular excercise 4 days a week..? Just try it for a while. If you really want to lose weight, you should stick with something for usually at least three weeks to see results. But talk with your doctor, and maybe you can get some advice. Just don t cut out food altogether to lose weight. It s bad for you and can seriously mess up your menstral cycle. Plus, after not eating for a while your body will seriously crave food. Then you ll be irratable and hungry, and a angry starving person is never fun to hang out with. Also, you ll come crashing down and totally overeat, than you ll feel crappy and the cycle will start again. So be careful, and I hope it works out for you!

I have been reading up on the acai berry myself. The acai berry s natural combination of antioxidants, essential fatty acids, phytosterols, and amino acids work together to assit your body and make it function better. Your body will process food more easily and burn fat more efficiently. The acai berry has around twenty times the antioxidants of red grapes. It is a wonderful protein, and has a large amount of dietary fiber. The fats contained in the acai berry are healthy omega fats. The acai berry is loaded with amino acids, which muscles need to function properly and benefit from exercise. These amino acids combined with fatty acids allow the body to burn fat more effectively and help tone your muscles.I have found the following informational site very informative - http://www.acai-health-diet.com.

The best guide I know is this one - 12 steps (its just a page with the list of to do s on)To get fitter, healthier and lose weighthttp://www.gonando.com/boost-immune-systAlso some useful tips and stuff at:http://dietingcoach.org

Here is where you can read a good article called Top Ten Principles and Tips for Weight Loss http://www.weightlossfatloss.us/ten_weigThey are good tips that work.

I think you should try hitting the good old gym. When you lose weight you could after a while start putting muscile on.

drink green tea. speeds your metabolism up loads worked for me, i lost a stone in 3 weeks drink about 3 -5 a day

1 Dietary control and exercise. Its true what they say - all you need to do is watch what you eat, and expend more energy than you consume. Its really that simple. You can quit reading this list now, you now know everything you need to know and didnt need to fork over $500 for the privilege of me telling you the secret of losing weight. You dont need to read a 4,000 page book, you dont have to buy a tape series, you dont need to stay up late at night to watch infomercials to understand this basic premise. Its 100% true.2 Change your lifestyle. If youre calling this a diet, then youre going to gain all the weight back (and more) within a few months of losing it. Diets do not work. Diets are temporary. When you change your dietary lifestyle, however, youre changing your habits - and youre putting yourself on track for long-term / continued success and weight maintenance. Dont ever tell anybody youre on a diet - ever. Im speaking from experience, here - a reformed low-carber. Worked out well for a while, but ultimately failed because my entire lifestyle didnt change (permanently).3 Join an online support group. In my case, I created my own - FatBlasters. Its essential that you not feel alone, and reaching out to friends (new or old) is typically a smart move. I just heard about PeetTrainer, but didnt know about it when I began down the road to weight loss. You have to know that others are out there for moral support - they know things that you couldnt possibly know, and theyve probably been in your shoes at some point in the past (or present). Share stories, laughter, tears, successes, and failures - share them. There are thousands of communities out there, so keep looking until you find the one that fits you.4 Take before and after photos. I know it sucks to see yourself as a chunky monkey (sorry, thats what I called myself - if only to get myself motivated to meet my weight loss goal). However, theres no easier way to illustrate your progress. The after photos are far more fun to capture and share, admittedly. Find yourself on Flickr! Its good to see yourself how others see you. Do you like how you look? In many ways, Flickr helped me lose weight.5 Hire a substitute teacher. Dont reach for the brands you know and love immediately - or without thinking first. Eggs are good for you, but consider using egg substitutes instead (in fact, many restaurants will let you order lower calorie foods). There are countless lower alternatives for you to try. If something different doesnt taste good, by all means - find a better substitute, or eat less of the original. In some cases, the substitute may be worse for you than the regular version of the product. The good news is, healthier choices are silently replacing their normal counterparts - and they taste just as nice.6 Start reading labels. I know it sucks, but you have to do it - and theres no way to avoid this tip. If you dont know what youre putting in your mouth, youre flying blind. Dont assume, either - triple-check the ingredients list and serving sizes. You must rely on yourself for this; nobody else is going to be able to lose the weight or do the math for you. Its not that complicated a task, but it will require effort. If nothing else, just pay attention to the calorie count.7 Whats so funny about bovines? If you like cheese, you must buy the Laughing Cow brand, and keep several of the suckers in stock at all times. The individually-wrapped wedges make for excellent snacks, and are wonderful when melted over just about anything edible. Id be careful about straight-up American cheese, though - its oil, but not necessarily as good for you as (say) a slice of cheddar would be. I have yet to find something as calorie-light and filling as Laughing Cow (I dont know how they do it).8 Tell your family. Youre not going to lose the weight alone, even if you ARE alone in losing the weight. If youve got a family at home, talk to them about it - initially, not incessantly. Let them know what youre going to do, and that you want (and need) their support. If you dont let them know, youre running the risk of them inadvertently sabotaging your efforts. You want them to help you get to your goal(s). You want them to share in your happiness when youve made it past a certain mark. Who knows? Maybe some of your new habits will rub off on them and theyll become healthier people, too?

Well you really haven t got that much weight to lose. A stone is a realistic target.First of all. Set out to eat a healthy, balanced low fat diet. This should include:-Lean meats (no fat on), poultry (no skin on), fish - with scales on (none deep fried in batter or breadcrumbs), plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables (including potatoes) - making sure you keep all carbohydrates - plain and simple (no smothering them in butter, cream, etc, low fat dairy products, skimmed milk, eggs, sugar free beverages, and non sugary cereals.KEEP ALL JUNK FOODS, ready made processed meals, alcohol, alcohol, sugary fizzy drinks and takeaway meals to an absolute minimum. These are high in saturated fat and full of sugar. The two main ingredients which are responsible for those extra pounds.Junk food is just what it says - JUNK. With one added ingredient in - FAT.Try to include more wholefoods into your diet. Such as brown bread, brown rice, brown pasta, beans pulses. These are high in Fibre and will keep you feeling fuller for longer.Try to MOVE as MUCH as YOU CAN. EXERCISE will really help to accelerate any weight loss.. Especially, running, swimming, cycling, using a skipping rope, a trampoline, and climbing up stairs, along with walking. But one thing you have to remember. Is that once you have reached your target weight. If you go back to your old eating habits and activity levels. You will put the weight back on again. It is as simple as that.I struggled with my weight for many, many years. But just over 2 years ago I decided to change my eating habits and embarked on regular exercise, which was running. The two work perfectly together. The results were amazing. I managed to lose 48lbs in just over 6 months. I have since then been able to maintain my weight with ease.I continue to eat a balanced, low fat diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables, along with regular exercise.I don t avoid any foods, just watch my portion sizes and limit the amount of certain foods. If, I do over-indulge, or have a big night out. I cut back the next day or do more exercise to balance things out. It works perfectly.Good Luck.

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes. Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight. First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart. However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I ve found a great addition to help any one out, it s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it s the best pill I ve tried and I ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day. Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

Healthy weightloss? -

I have been trying to loose weight without exercise and its not seeming to work. any suggestions for healthy weight loss?

You can t lose weight in a healthy manor without exercise. You don t have to do crazy amounts of exercise. Go for a walk, ride a bike, go swimming, get a dance DVD and dance. Whatever is fun, but that gets your heart rate up. You also need to be sure to drink lots of water, eat lots of fiber, stay away from sugar. Losing weight is not an easy thing to do (if it was, everyone would be skinny) and requires physical work.

Well the noraml response that people say is to eat less hahaha NNNNNOOOOO!!!!!! Thats not the solution you eat the normal amount of food you would eat but eat that amount of food with the same amount but in healther foods like fruits and vegatables and steak or fish. So remember don t eat less or don t eat at all and you ll get even bigger. When you ahev all this food then you justs top eatting then your bodys hormones start to build up more fat to prevent you from like dieing. So just stick with the same amount of food and try not to eat too much food. Espacialy if its fatty foods.

Drink big glasses of water before you eat. That ill fill you up. Eat lots of veggies and things. Do lots of exorcise. But drinking ater fills you up and you dont get as hungry.

I`m desperate. What should I do? -

My boyfriend told me either I lose weight or I lose him and I think he means it. I am 4, 60 ft and 180 lb and I always thought I was cute because I was soft and... But my boyfriend told me that I should do something because I put on weight fast. I never started a diet or a weight loss program. What should I do?

Diets are great if you start one and can keep it. Some do wonders for your body. However, you need to start counting how many calories you eat every day, and make sure you eat less than you burn. You can find a calorie counter and diet planner at http://www.projectweightloss.com C they have many free weight loss tools and weight loss charts youll find helpful. You must use the menu planner to calculate how many calories you eat, and the workout planner to see how many calories you burn. You can tell your boy he should be there and support you and everything will work out!

so you re 4 6 and 180 lbs.. even though your boyfriend was acting like a jackass, i have to admit that u shoud lose some weight. this is how:First of all i would suggest to cut down on fatty foods and trying to reduce the calories you consume every day... BUT that does not mean that you should drastically reduce the food you consume every day. BTW its okay to eat something unhealthy once in a while.Secondly do a lot of cardio. I know it might be annoying to some, but running is a great way to lose weight. It s not just running tho, you can also play other sports like soccer, basketball, etc. However, I suggest jump roping. It s a full body workout and i believe the best way to burn calories. Finally do simple exercises, such as pushups, situps, crunches, etc.Every pushup, for example, burns 2.1 calories. Just do 100 of them and you already burn 210.PS. Drink a lot of watergood luck

Honestly, it s one thing for your boyfriend to be concerned for your health but if he has a lose it or lose me attitude you shouldn t be with him.For your own health and happiness it wouldn t hurt to change your lifestyle. Just start by cutting out junk food and walking every day. When you re up to it build in some light weights, crunches, push ups etc. Don t drink a lot of soda or juice, choose water. Eat lots of fresh foods. But exercise is what will really help you. Get your heart rate up and build some muscle. But don t do this because your boyfriend doesn t accept you - do it for yourself!!!

Lose him! No one should make the decision of losing the weight but you. If you don t want to lose weight, then don t!A good way to start a diet and exercise program would be to walk everyday for at least 30 minutes, then build it up to longer...then eventually run. And eat more veges. Make that most of your meal on your plate when you eat.

diets dont work ...i was struggeling since the last 10 years to lose 1lbs ... i was desperate and gave up hope.... i was dieting excersicing nothing worked... 3months ago... i was cutting down on bread, rice. and pasta.... i eat lots of chinese food which i prepare myself ... i use only a bit of olive oil or sesame oil to prepare it... i eat lots of veggies and fruits... meat only grilled... and this every 3hr (3 main meals ...2 snacks)...but just a little ammount...but the main thing is....i discovered instead of drinking 2ltr of water i started drinking green tea (even cold)... now the lbs are melting away.... i went from a 144lbs ... to a 120lbs within 3 months.... i work out 1 hr a day... and i feel fine now... im still losing weight... if u want to prepare the green tea u have to make it right to get all the benefits...bring water to boil .... and leave it to cool down for 3 min ( very important ) then pour the water into tea kettle with1 table spoon of green tea leafs ... let it rest atleast 5min covered... ( i leave it until cooled down because i like it cold and very concentrated).... i add fresh pressed lemon juice to it.... its refreshing... BTW green tea has a lots of other benefits ...check this outhttp://chinesefood.about.com/library/wee...maybe you can try this way.... and i wish u good luck

i say you can drop between 140-200 lbs in one day by dumping that loser. if you really want to lose weight it should be for yourself not because some jerk gave you an ultimatum

Girl, you should lose him! Is he serious? If you really have a weight problems he should encourage you to do something not stress you more.

Anyone who would say something like that to you is not worth keeping. Tell him to love you for who you are or get the hell out.

if you re happy with yourself, then that s all that matters. tell him to either love you for you, or leave.

If you have done the six week thing, was it helpful? Did it make you feel better? Did you see results? Do you think there is a better six week program out there? p.s. I know it takes more than six weeks for healthy weight loss so I don t want you to misunderstand this as trying to find a quick weight loss method. The best you can do to stay at a healthy weight, is to eat healthy.I am a vegetarian, but if your not, if you eat chicken, eat it grilled not fried. And eat your veggies! Try not to have so much dairy, try soy milk. It s good a healthy! And do some exercises every now and then. Exercise is good for you.Just go for 20-30 minute walks everyday.

dang i weigh as less than you and im 5 6 and also 14 um just eat small frequent meals like every 4 hours and make sure they are healthy with some fruits and veggies

Tips and advice for my healthy weight loss week....? -

I ve got a week off of work and I m going to dedicate it to weight loss. (Obviously do a few things inbetween!)I go to slimming world which is a healthy eating/weight loss club, I ve been following the diet for 6 months now and I ve lost 17lb, it s easy to follow, basically healthy eating. I m also a regular at the gym (Just not so regular as before!)I ve got a week off of work, to just chill. But I m going to dedicate it to losing weight. I m going to follow the diet religiously and work out at my hardest at the gym...Any tips at all? Such as workouts? Detox stuff? The maximum I ve lost in a week is 3.5lb purely doing the diet. Any tips or advice will be much appreciated! Thanks! (In advance!!)

I always find when i have time away from work i can workout out more. I would leave my diet alone because you are already losing weight with the diet you have, but i would spend the extra time focusing on working out more. Go Hiking or play a sport that you dont always have time for. It will be a vacation of sorts from your routine activities at the gym. I hope this helps, but remember to have fun while you are on vacation so you can go back to work recharged. I just went on a vacation myself for 3 weeks and i managed to lose 5 pounds just because i had time to workout more and i spent more time focused on my diet and exercise plan. I still had fun like played basketball, went swimming, etc. , but it gave me a chance to recharge my battery.

there are 3 things that are important when trying to lose weight - diet, cardio and weights - when you do all 3, you are insuring that you losses come from fat and your gains come from muscle - if you lost 15 pounds of fat and gained 15 pounds of muscle, you would still weight exactly the same but do you know how much better you will look and feel? diet alone isn t enough, you may be eating you muscle away - if you lose muscle, your metabolism gets slower because you have less actuive tissue than before - do all 3 and committ to the long run - it shouldn t be a quick fix, it should be a life change

Are Cereal good for me? -

I trying to lose weight and Im doing quite well, I lose 2kg this week.I only know that many people said that Cereal are good for breakfastBut is it going to affect my weight loss program?Normally people take cereal with milk(Fresh milk, Dairy milk) in a bowl,So Cereal + Milk is it good?Does milk make you gain more weight? For your information, I am poor in everything about Cereal. My name is Ivan from Malaysia. People in Malaysia(Asian Country) know nothing about cereal and they DO NOT or NEVER took cereal before. Some more, people in Malaysia dont take cereal as their breakfast. The word Cereal maybe doesnt exist in their vocabulary. So please help

I think a piece of fruit and polly o string cheese is better for you. Cereal raises your blood sugar and then crashes. I m always hungery an hour after eating cereal. Dairy products in general are very fattening and full of sodium.. They are not what the dairy industry would have you believe. I do eat the Atkins and South Beach cereal bars as they are fortified with extra protein which cancels out the sugar high in cereal.

Ok cereal is not magical. Instead, it is a way to BREAK the FAST, thus being called breakfast. Your body has been fasting all night while you slept with no food, and breakfast is the perfect way to start it up again. You basically just need to get a little bit of healthy food for breakfast like a gronola bar or some cereal with skim milk. This will kick up your metabolism early in the day, and cause you to lose more weight in the long run.

Actually, you might want to know that most cereals contain trans fat. Trans fat stays in the body and cannot be eliminated because it is an artificial fat. So, cereals are actually very bad.If you re looking for something nutritious to eat for breakfast, why not try fruit?

Milk is healthy, just choose something with low-fat.Cereal is not needed as breakfast - just eat breakfast. Fruits, yogurt, or other whole grains/oats are fine for breakfast. Just make sure you eat something, it doesnt have to be cereal.

What are some excercises and weight loss tips for a 13 year old? -

I m 13, and i want to have a flatter stomach and a smaller waist by summer. I weigh 130 pounds, and am 5 1. I ve been eating healthier for awhile, but I havent been seeing results. What are some simple excercises to help burn of excess weight around my stomach? what are some tips?any advice will help.thank you in advance.

jogging is an excellent exercise because it let you lose weightevenly throughout your whole body. If you want to lose weight inspecific areas, you should target them with exercises. If they areyour problem areas, they will be very difficult to tone. You will haveto work double on them. The best approach is this:1. Lower/control your daily calorie intake (control for normalweight, lower for overweight).2. Run/jog to lower your overall body fat percentage.3. Target your problem areas with exercises.an excellent exercise, you can do it in front of your TV: sit on astool, and put your toes under something (piece of heavy furniture, for example). In your hands hold a little dumbbell. Please, make surethat it is not very heavy, start with one kilo, for example, or youwill damage your back and spine! Slowly move the upper part of yourbody back, until it s parallel with the ground. Stop for a second andmove it back to the sitting position. Repeat ten times. Every week addto the number of repetitions. You will see the results in a week, guaranteed! You will see or feel under the fat - if you have any - sixpack and muscles. Dumbbells do wonders. Much better than thesecrunches - I came up to three hundreds and there was no results ATALL. With the dumbbells you will see it in a week.

Go swimming or a swimming club with a coach.. it really really helps. i lost a lot of weight from swimming and plus it is very relaxing and fun!u can free style, butterfly, backstroke, and many things and you can become a really good swimmer!or go the gymor run

as suggested by few of the fellow commentors...plz dnt go for pills, instead you could go for swimming , brisk walk inthe morning etc etc

In order to lose weight, you have to exercise a nice amount each day. You don t have to catch a workout video, though. They can be boring. Running, dancing, or playing a sport is the best way to do it because you re having fun at the same time. Walking for 30 minutes a day helps too. Just make sure your constantly moving during your exercise and get your heart rate up.Also, making changes in your diet will help too. They don t have to be huge changes. Instead of depriving yourself of something you really want to eat, just eat a little proportion of it so you can taste it and be satisfied. Try eating fruits or pretzels at random times during the day between meals so you won t feel as hungry when you start eating again (because then you tend to overeat). And, believe it or not, if you chew your food a lot more it can help lose weight! If you chew it down to a mesh instead of just swallowing chunks it will process faster in her system, so it won t sit there and accumulate as much fat.Once you start to lose weight, you might see that your skin is a little lose, mainly around the arms or some excess skin on your belly. To fix that, just tone them with weights and sit ups. Do a little each day and you should be satisfied. Also, try to stay away from diet pills. Seriously, most of them are just caffeine and not worth it. Plus, it won t be healthy for a 13 year old. If you want to try something, though, the only one I would recommend is Alli because it s the only weight loss pill you can get over the counter that s FDA approved. But even when taking Alli, you have to continue to eat right or you will have to go to the bathroom a lot and oil will come out instead of poop! I have done this since September 2008 (6 months ago) and I have lost 50 lbs! I could have lost more but I let myself slip a few times.Hope this helps and good luck!!! =)
