Would you recommend weight watchers? -

I want to start some sort of weight loss program. Has anyone had any success with weight watchers? I don t want to sign up if it s not helpful.

Weight Watcher is a good program. I used it over the summer and lost 10lbs. Thats all I wanted to loose but I still follow the program because it keeps me at my ideal weight.Good Luck!

Personally, I ve never used it, but lots of people from my church have joined weight watchers and I ve noticed amazing results.

Yes I would recommend them.It is a healthy way to lose weight and keep it off

Hows this cardio daily exercise sound? please answer!!? -

Every day i complete all of the following.. (i am in a small room so bear with me!!)- 200+ implace jog- 50 jumping jacks- 50 hops- 50 squats- 50 squat-jumps(squat and jump up 1-2 inches)- 50 knee up each leg- 100 crunches- 100 reverse crunches (knee up 90 degrees)(switching arms and head out for legs)- 200+ jog in placeHows this sound? i am also drinking 3 bottles+ of water a day, 5-6 Small meals a day, replased for 3 big meals, and i am on a healthy diet, including pita wraps, white meats, and fruits and veggies. Does this sould like a good weight-loss program? Thanks!!!

I have a few suggestions, points and tips, this I m assuming your trying to loose or maintain weight:-squats ain t cardio, its more of muscular endurance-try jogging outside where you get more fresh air, the easier it is to breath the more you can push yourself-If you live in an apartment or a two floor house try hopping and running up stairs, I usually take turns between each-Herpies can be really helpful-make sure you slowly increase the amount of reps you do-Make sure you have a motivation, something to keep you going-Music can always help you push yourself to the next level-I d recommend some milk products, milk or yogurt (try to avoid butter or cheese because of their high amount of calories/fat)-An egg every other day could be a healthy choise-Don t be discourged by low weight loss, you are still loosing fat how ever at the same time gaining muscle, in the end it ll be the inch s that make the difference-talk to your doctor about your fitness level and how if this program is right for you-If you are really dedicated try swimming, this is great cardio workout and the natural resistance is only a plus, you won t be getting blisters at the end of your feet-Make sure you stretch thoroughly before doing any of your work out, but DON T over stretch-If you are into a sport try basing your exercises on skills you ll need for this sport, no harm in become more athletic as you become more fit-After you re done your intense work out, don t immediately sit down, walk it down

wow, it sounds really good!but when you say 200 inplace jog, what do you mean?like 200 steps or 200 min? haha... if youre going to jg do it for 30-45 min to burn more cals.

I think it sounds like a good plan. Also, jumping rope can be fun if you get bored with just plain jumping. Lunges are also very good to do!

How can i lose 80 lbs? -

well, im just a kid so dont tell me to join a weight loss program or buy some fancy food, i just want to know what i can do to lose 80 lbs the healthy way.

Look i do belive that sports and exercise is the best way ever to burn fat along with eating health meals (that doesnt mean that u have to submit to any kind of diet) its all abt the calorieo defect if u manage to consume less calorieos than ur body needs then u will burn fat For example if ur body needs 2000 cals per day just to maintin ur wieght then if u need to burn some fat then u have to create a cal defect by cuting down 500 cals per day u can do that by reducing ur cal intake by 200 cals and do some aerobic classes or running or any kind of sport to burn other 300 cals I am sorry iam making this long but i just want u to get the idea One other thing that u have to understand .. burning fat and getting in shape and having a lean body is all abt the body fat percentage if u manage to reduced to reach the optimum level ... then u will have a lean body In women ur body fat have to be in range betwen 18% - 21% In men 8% - 14% Here are some tips and and fundamental basics that might help:1st - you need to reduce your calories intake by eating balanced healthy meals containing all sufficient daily needs(proteins - carbohydrate - Fats ) For Example - Protines are very important on dialy bases caz a women in age btwn 19-70 needs to consume 46 grams of protein per day so you dont wanna miss that 2nd - avoid hunger : this is the most important thing you have to keep in mind as the more hunger you became the more weaker you will be infront of food and you will be forced to eat any thing .. try to eat at least 4-6 meals per day with snacks in betwen (fruits yogurt)3rd - correct your bad eating habbits such as -combining food with entertainment and watching movies and tv -eating to relieve stress and to ease pain -Eating on the run 4th - Dont torture your self by prohibiting certain types of food and desert .. just reduce the amount .. and know when to eat it .. dont eat any thing contians suger or fats at night .. eat wat you want during the day with low amounts caz the body starts to reduce metabolism rate at night Excersise : Try steady cardio tranin , runnin for abt 30 to 45 min (speed doesnt matter steady cardio) continously non stop but u know dont try to do it to much caz some researches referd to it may have some cardiovuscler effects on the long run along with some immunity effects yet nothin is scientficly proved but just to be on the safe side :D Try Sprint running for as much time as u can with 8 counts of pushups after each round of runnig then take rest for abt (1 to 2 min) as u can take ur breath then repeat it again Try all Running and jumping Training such as lunge runnin ,two legs jumpin ,side jumping, one leg jumping ect.... Rope jumping is an excellent execrsie that extremely burn fat and increase fitness and stamina level try to do it with all techniques (two legs jumpin, one leg, crossing hands) just to entertain your self and never get bored U also have to do all abs exercise and do it with all diff forms and techniques just to make sure that u cover all the area and get all the muscles work also you can try boxing .. u dont have to engage with fightin in the arena :D but u can do the tranin punshing the sandbag and some shodwo boxing punches would do alot of work than u can imagien Well thats it hope u find it benficial and good luck

Well it all depends, do you want to lose 80 pounds and keep it off, or risk gaining it back and most likely more pounds along with it? Because Diets don t work, the latter always happens.Eat raw Veggies, learn to love them - it s gonna take a year to really get a handle on things and control your diet. But once you can control your diet as I ve discovered, it makes controlling everything else about your life much easier.Eat FruitsLots of fibersLean meats - white meats. Stay away from red meats because those are THE HARDEST for our system to digestTry FishTry Fish again..Keep trying fish until you like it XD I m still working on that because I want to eliminate red meats from my diet entirely.Don t eat a meal 6 hours before going to bed, maybe a small snack at about 3 hours before. So your stomach doesn t stay awake all night digesting at minimal output, storing fat that can t be burned, as it disturbs you with it s activity while you sleep. Keep carbs and protines for breakfast and lunch, have something small for dinner.Portion your meals smaller, but you can have up to five meals a day this way. This way you re shrinking your stomach and making your metabolism work faster.Get fiber powder and protine powder along with a blender or juicer and start blending fruits together, or your veggies together. You can get the powders from a health food store or from GNC. SMOOTHIES Go to Barnes and noble and get a book on smoothies :DIf you can t eat veggies, do a cleanse. Only eat the broth of soup ( Walmart) and lots of water. After 4-7 days of this a salad will taste wonderful, happened to me and I HATED water and veggies. Cleansing gets the toxins out of your body.Oh yeah a colon cleanse can knock off a few pounds as well as get rid of adult acne and give your lots of new found energy after it s ever. Yes I said COLON cleanse. 90 % of illnesses occur because of built up in the colon. Your rectum could be 12 inches around and you d still be shitting out of the size of a pencil hole on any American diet, lolz. They say death begins in the colon. 1 in 3 people get colon cancer. Anyways a colon cleanse in similar to the cleanse mentioned above. Just go to GNC and asked about it.Start small but get some exercise, walking, riding a bike, some cardio. Then continually build up your resistance when you can handle it, such as adding ankle weights or playing with the big boy work outs which I haven t needed because I m a girl not a she-hulk.Hope some of this information helps. And if it ever seems expensive, because we are in a world food crisis at the moment, just ask yourself are those thousands of dollars worth of Dr. bills after your 30-40 really worth it?

Well, I ve a had friend of mine do this, she lost 40 pounds but it took almost half a year. So have a lot of time and patience in your hands, first of all. This is what she did:1) Exercise. I play rugby, basketball two hours a day, and I do salsa (dance). Get in shape by working out whenever you can. Don t make it a chore, because it doesn t have to be. 2) She ate smaller amounts. For starters, ditch the junk food. Would you rather unhappy with yourself continually or overeat? Eat smaller, healthier portions to also boost metabolism.3) Optional--don t eat dinner. That s just a habit for her, and that what I ve been trying to do too. I just eat some cold and fresh watermelon, which really fills me up. Dinner is the least important meal of the day. If you have to have a little something, don t eat after 7 pm.Best of luck,Slate

80? wow that s hard well start it by exercising daily. You can skip (the jumping thing) 2 times daily or if you can 3 times, you can also try a long distance run every day or go ride your bike (if you have) and more importantly follow the proper eating diet. like eating veggies and fruits instead of eating unhealthy foods with lots of cholesterol and fats.........

What I should eat in a day? Please help! easy 10 points!!? -

I am 13 years old, trying to lose a little weight. I ve looked into weight loss programs, and most say eat 5-6 good, healthy, small meals a day.I wake up at 6:30 for school, have lunch at 10:00 and get back from school at 2:30.What are the times of when I should eat?If you are kind enough please supply some food.

Small amounts of food very often increases metabolism. Which helps weight loss. Fruit is very good to eat as a snack though and you might even find yourself enjoying it if its a home prepared fruid salad or something.Eat when you wake up, nothing big, just average, this meal has to be a proper meal though. Not bits of things. Cereal would be good. Then if you wanted an apple or something at 8?Then lunch, don t have anything too big for this kind of weight loss to work, then you have a snack if wanted at about 12. Dinner is important, so make that a proper meal too. Then after that you can have a small snack a few hours after. The key here is small though.Believe it or not, these diets DO work, but you have to continue this kind of eating throughout life, otherwise when you eat normally, you will find that weight will start to mount up again. It s a small price to pay though right? This is why people who eat frequently don t put on weight. You could also try 32 chews? You chew everything that goes in your mouth 32 times. Your stomach thinks more food than that s going in is being consumed and you burn some body fat. It also fills you up quicker, which means you eat less.If you chew on gum it also has the same effects but since you do not consume anything it gives you wind and can cause ulcers if you do it all the time.

thats good what ya got there eat 5-6 small meals evenly spaced thru out the dayhelathy meals have fruit in the morning like a something to snack on between classes like more fruit... lunch, try to eat healthy i know school food aint that good. another snack. eat something when ya get home like a sandwich then a snack later then dinner.. should work for ya just remember to eat smart and healthy. dont gorge on Mcdonald s cause that **** will kill yaalso eat slowly because if you eat fast you can eat more before your brain catches up and tells you that your full..

hey man you are at right age to get fit.make up your mind that no matter what you are going to get fit.it is a good idea to eat 5 or 6 meals.but normally people doesn t have that much time.so 4 meals a day are perfect.i recommend you to do 30 to 45 minutes of cariovascular exercise(running) 5 times a week .don t think that by eating less food is going to make you fit .it is going to make you week and is going to decrease your metabolism.when we start starving our body from food our body stop to burn all the fat that we have.your body needs fat to burn fat.means that you have to eat healthy fat like olive oil, canola oil, almond oil etc.don t be surprised by this that is the fact of your body.you should eat healthy to get slim.but don t eat to much of fat.carbohydrates are the one that you should be worried about eat complex carbs and avoid simple carbs.sugar is what makes you fat.no more candies, coca cola etc.fat that is solid in room temprature is bad for you and the fat that is liquid in room temprature is good for you.protien is what we need. protien builds muscles.i wiil recomend you to eat 2500 calories depending on your weight.eat heavy breakfast and lunch and light dinner. what i really mean by all this is exercise and eat healthy(don t over eat).30 to 45 minutes of cardio is not to much.if you do it 5 days a week you will defenately get fit.

Make sure you are not part of the problem with the nasty creatures http://www.freeweightlossexpert.com/how-to-loose-weight-shocking-truth/Otherwise the great tips about eating less sugar, exercise, dieting and other stuff will be of little effect.Inside the quoted post you will see a link to a video, it explains everything about the issue. This video is being recorded by a certified doctor and she proves her point very seriously.

*Small meals every 2 hours. You should be eating a total of about 1200-1500 calories a day to lose weight, so make sure you count everything out. *Write down EVERYTHING you eat. *Don t drink sodas, even diet. Drink water. *Exercise! Running is the quickest way to get it off. I also like the elliptical, and there are DVDs called The Firm that are unreal. I did step aerobics for a long time too. *Don t eat after 8.I did all of these things and lost 80 pounds and have kept every ounce off for almost 8 years. You will probably need to change your eating habits too. Read the Abs Diet. It has great tips on typical things to eat each day. Very easy to adapt to your own as well. A sample meal plan when I was dieting included: Breakfast: plain oatmeal with a T peanut butter, one bananaSnack: nutri grain bar or serving of almonds, no cal iced herb tea with splendaLunch: Weight watchers meal or sandwich on whole wheat with little meat (like turkey) and lots of lettuce and tomatoesSnack: fruit or yogurt or almonds or a granola barDinner: whole grain rice and fish; chicken breast; grilled vegetables, etc.

Dear Tara,While exercise and diet can help you lose weight, there are other factors which influence weight loss. These factors are stress, sleep, depression, metabolism and detoxThere are herbs which can help you keep track of all of the above factors and which can dramatically improve weight loss. Here are some very interesting facts about weight loss:1. Inadequate sleep can increase your chances of becoming obese by as much as 10% 2. People who had inadequate sleep generally gained an 33 pounds over the period of the study than those who slept well. 3. Stress has been linked to increase appetite, increased carbohydrate cravings and also an increase in abdominal fat. 4. Prolonged stress also slows the metabolism rate 5. It is possible to increase metabolic rate using herbs which means you will burn fat faster. 6. Blood sugar level imbalances can cause cravings for carbohydrates, increase fat storage and decrease energy levels. A killer trio if you are trying to lose weight. 7. This is not really a shocking fact C we all know that obesity and depression are linked. What is shocking, is that scientists in a recent study published that a person who is depressed has a 40% chance of becoming obese! There are herbs which can help you burn fat faster. Herbs which you probably have in your kitchen right now. Things like ginger and fennel. I hace included a page on how to use herbs to rev up your metabolism in the resources section.BUT BEFORE YOU TRY ANY NEW DIET OR HERBAL REMEDY CHECK WITH YOUR DOCTOR.To your herbal weight loss successJoan AllenPersonal herbal weight loss coach

Yes, Yes indeed! 1) stressing about your weight isn t going to help it one bit!2) Watch WHAT you eat, the AMOUNT you eat, and WHEN you eat. (careful of the tempting midnight snacks)3) exercise everyday. You can even just start off with walking around your house for 30 minutes or jogging up and down your stairs, than you ll burn fat and build muscle, than be able to do more exercises as you go.4)Set a goal. you have to really want it because most diets tend to fail. I give you all the luck you need, and i hope you get your dream body :)

Those are great things too, but what I would do is not just eat healthy, but eat balanced and not push yourself too hard to exercise or what can actually be bad for you. Don t go on the scale every time your done exercising. Keep track or your weight, what your eating, what your gaining, and what your losing. 3,000 calories make a pound, so go on a treadmill at your house or a gym. It tells you how much calories your losing. Then afterwords eat something healthy and light, like yogert. I hope I helped!! :D

I have tried the adipex and it has worked for me. I have lost 57lbs since September. I however also changed my eating habits and have exercised (a little).

stop eating sugar. . .best thing i ever did

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart. However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I ve found a great addition to help any one out, it s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace dot com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it s the best pill I ve tried and I ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

Endurance athletes tend to be pretty driven by nature. Often they will do what ever it takes to get faster. One way many will try to get faster is by loosing weight. Most people will look for the quickest and easiest route to accomplish this and thus diet pills often become an option. Are diet pills a good idea?Just recently the FDA called for all Hydroxy products to be recalled and for consumers to stop use after reports were displaying a direct correlation between using these products and serious liver damage. So what if the diet pill is FDA approved and a Dr. gives it to you? It took many years of people using Fenfluramine-derivative and damaging their bodies before it was finally pulled from the market. This particular pill damaged the heart valves in 1 out of 8 people who took it.Phenylpropanolamine is a prescribed drug that is often found in appetite suppressants. In 1982 the Journal of the American Medical Association reported that it was associated with kidney failure. It has also been shown to have increased the risk for strokes in young woman. This drug is still on the market and is in other types of prescription drugs too.Alli, Xenical, and Orlistat are common prescription diet pills that all now having warning labels on them due to the adverse effects they may have on ones thyroid.Just because a Dr. gives it to you or is FDA approved doesn t mean it s good for you.Personally I know people who took metabolism boosters that can be bought over the counter and now have serious thyroid issues. In short, a pill is not the answer. In my opinion the best solution is getting to the root cause of the problem. For loosing weight that usually comes down to a healthy diet and exercise. Which takes discipline as many crave or want to eat foods that may be less than excellent for the waist line.Recent research on dieting has displayed that food addictions are no different than any other type of addiction in terms of the chemical response that occurs in the body. Thus junk food cravings may be better understood by looking at them as an addiction. This may seem extreme but think of it this way. Your diet has been great, you re loosing weight, getting ripped and you re getting faster. You then get a craving when you drive by a restaurant you love. You pull in a gorge as a reward or because it s a cheat day .This thought or action pattern has poor rationality. You have been awesome to your body so you decide to reward yourself by putting something harmful in it?Would you give a drug addict crack as a, reward because they haven t done crack in 3 weeks?Pills are crap, get to the root cause.check out the website provided. This will help you!

What does it cost to order the nutri-system? -

I was just wondering what the cost is for the weight loss program s food?

Probably alot more than it costs to make your own healthy choices at the grocery store.

You can lose weight if you use correct program. I tried many program, but could not lose weight. I found the best program that works very well for anyone. I lost my weight easy using this weight loss program. You must have look correct info that works. I lost 18 pounds after 5 weeks with this weight loss program. I highly recommend you. You can find more info here http://bit.ly/654wejh9

The commercial says less than $3 a meal. Three meals +2 snacks equals $15 a day. $15 times 30 days in a month equals $450 a month. I feed my family of five for just a little more a month than that.

Too much. You d be better off buying your own health food.

How many calories should I be consuming? -

Hi everyone,I am a 19 year old, overweight male who has just started a new, pretty intense fitness/nutrition plan within the past few weeks. I started out at 5 10, 280, so I have a good 100 pounds to lose at least. I ve done the fad diet crap and diet pills, but now I am getting serious and realistic and doing this the healthy way - diet, exercise, and hard work and discipline. I have started walking a few miles a day, and have began swimming 30-50 laps a couple times per week. I plan to also start weight-training and perhaps take a boxing class within the next couple weeks. I have already started to enjoy exercising much more than being a couch potato and am very dedicated to finally losing this weight. I have also started eating much, much better and quit smoking marijuana. No sugar whatsoever, no soda, no white carbs, no (gasp!) fastfood. I am focusing on eating whole grains, fruits, veggies, nuts, lean meats and dairy, and water. I am also taking a daily multi-vitamin, fish oil (omega-3s), and a Vitamin D and C supplement, and drinking whey protein shakes after workouts. My question is - I guess I am a little confused by exactly how much to eat and when, and how often. I am all set with the exercise and diet aspects - just how much, how often mostly is where I am confused. I know for a fit person, 1500-2000 is around normal, but since I am 5 10, 280 and am also burning 500-1000 calories per day through exercise also, I don t think I should be eating that little. Since I am still 100 pounds overweight and used to eating a ton, and am exercising a lot now, around how much should I be eating per day? What is a safe amount of calories to eat per day for healthy weight loss, how often should I eat, and around how many calories should I be consuming at each sitting? If anyone could explain this out to me a little bit better, I would very much appreciate it! Thanks everyone.
