Any healthy weight loss tips? -

I m 11 5 0 and 140 lbs! I m need HELP!

1. Set aside ten weeks before the date the weight needs to be off. Doctors have said that weight loss of more than 2-3 pounds a week (or 500g per week in metrics) is hazardous to your health. 2. Cut out fast food meals, super-sized anything won t help you lose those vanity pounds 3. replace high fat foods with veggies, whole grains, and fruits. 4. If you re eating meat, the average portion size is 3 oz. which is roughly the size of your fist, so any more than that and you ll gain weight, not lose it. Cut the fatty bits, not matter how tasty it really is. 5. drink lots of water. This will not only trick your mind into thinking your not hungry, but it will clean out your system and help you lose water weight. 5-15 lbs of your body weight is water weight and its the easiest to shed in the least amount of time. However, fad diets do feed on this false sense of achievement. If you do want to lose weight long term, there s almost impossible to lose that much weight over a month. 6. remember to work out for at least a hour, three times a week, but no more than five times. Your body needs a rest every once an a while. NEVER work out too intensely, either. If you go faster than a jog, you can t burn fat efficiently. 7. Stay away from salts and sugars.

GO WALKING

go through your entire house and get rid of all the junk! do this a week before you decide to diet. Look into doing atkins. Talk to parents and ask them to take you to the doctor before you start any diet. Before i had my son, i lost over 50 lbs safely! Its also the best i ve ever felt in my life. You dont have to purchase the foods from atkins either. You can make your own foods so it is cheaper.

drink more water

drink lots of water, it make you less hungry.

drink water, improves hair skin an nailsdont eat junk, canned, oily, frozen foodshomecooked, veggies, and fruits are the best things to eatexercise, sit ups, pushups, squats, to keep you toneddont eat after 6

Instead of starving yourself eat heathy foods like a salad and protien yogurts everyday and go jogging everyday too for about an hour.I almost forgot liquids drink water atleast four times a day. Here s what NOT to eat/drink:NO soda, NO greesy foods,NO junk food either.

Cut out soda and other caffeine products. Drink plenty of COLD water! Did you know that drinking COLD water can actually help you lose weight? When you drink COLD water, your body has to heat it up to body temperature, and that burns calories! So, drinking COLD water actually helps you lose weight even before you exercise!

exercise and eat a healthy diet. Eat pleanty of vegetables and watch your intake of meat and carbs.

I lost 20 lbs doing the SLIM IN 6 PROG. go to beachbody.comIt really works, fun tooandeat right ,they have a guide to follow

1) Drink plenty of water2) Walk at least 5 days a week, try to include stairs/and or hills if possible3) Eat from every food group every day, heavy on the fruits and vegetable4) Try to eat as much fresh and unprocessed foods as much as possible5) Look at it as a healthy lifestyle change rather than just a diet6) Try to find a friend or family member to join you. Having a support buddy helps a lot!Good for you and I wish you the best!

lots and lots of water

Eating a balanced, healthy diet every day. Small portions of fish and lean meat; lots of fruit and veggies; very little potatoes/rice/pasta/starch, no fast food, no fried food, very little sugar or fat, NO SODADrink your 8 glasses of water per day, make sure to exercise--and walk, don t ride, whenever possible.

drink lots of water, eat lots of green veggies, low fat protein, like fish and chicken. and exercise

exercise a lot and eat healthy, it really works

start slow with steps that are healthy and manageable. You need to consider nutrition, exercise, and stress..don t jump head first into some fad diet...focus on maintainable lifestyle changes. if stress is resulting in poor eating habits and exercise choices, remember to get to the root of the problem with healthy stress reducing practices too. as for nutrition, choose healthy, wholesome foods. place no foods off limits or your brain will crave them, leading you to go off track and get discouraged. moderation and variety. start slow and easy with exercise. don t tell yourself i m gonna run 3 miles today! your first day out if you haven t been preparing for that. start with something like walking 20 minutes a day and building up from there. remember to make it fun, take an ipod along, use it as a refreshing time. lastly, i recommend recruiting a friend or accountability buddy (make this more fun and easier to stick to) and tracking your efforts or progress in a journal. journals can be a great reflection tool to help keep you on track. don t beat yourself up if you go off course, steer back on slowly and it will be okay. look at WEEKLY progress...blowing one day doesn t have to mess up your whole week :) good luck as you strive to take this positive step for your life!~ i m proud of your efforts and you will enjoy lasting benefits. :)

Bee Pollen I lost 60 pounds over a year ago and it has stayed off no more cravings either, it worked for me after trying so many products and diets and just breaking down because nothing worked, then my mom turned me on to it and it worked. you can read more about it at www.beeroyalproducts.com great research pages and ask questions on line to its not expensive either.

Any great weight loss tips?...? -

I ve got 100+ lbs to lose. I ve lost quite a bit over the summer by eating more fruits and veggies, walking to and from work, and dropping my 3x per day 20 oz, quad Ice breve mocha habit. What are some ways I can step it up a bit? I can t afford to go to the gym, and I m not sure how feasible outdoor excersize will be with 5 kids once the snow flies. How can I stay motivated through the holidays / winter? What are some of your tips?

Right, drink Herbal tea in the morning just as you wake up, its not very nice but it makes your metabolism work 3x s faster to help you loose more weight.Do lots of exercise but don t push your self to much because it can cause stress and make you unhappy. Also for breakfast have something refreshing such as fruit, or cereal and fruit.Try and walk places instead of getting the bus/ driving. For me these tips made it easier, to get to 9 st 2, but im planning loosing more with these techniques!

big thing I was told and has helped me greatly is to realise that I deserve to take time for myself to exercise and be healthy (might sound a bit dr phil like but it s def helped and I m a sarcastic irish woman!!!)also eat well, not loads, not rubbish, well, lean meat, fish, veg and fruit you ll have more energy and feel happier - also eat little and often, I m closer to eating five small meals a day all with a little good protein and mixed complex and simple carbs, ie veg and potatoes or brown rice etc - and I love spices on my foodnow for exercise, I bought a little stepper and when I want to watch a tv show or something on the computer I allow myself along as I exercise too, even if it s a brisk step for 30mins it means I ve done somethingand music, if you don t have a mp3 player or ipod or something buy yourself one and upload all the really fun boppy music that you love and listen to it when you do the house work, go for a walk, exercise - I have my soundtrack of beastie boys, groove aramada and jameroquai and more and when I hear it I work faster, walk faster and move faster and fell betterok have lots of other stuff but that should be some start - also you can do lots of toning work just using items in your home like fill small water bottles with grit or sand and they are small weights for you to use...best of luck

Teen Weight Loss??? -

Im 13 almost 14 and weigh 186 pounds i really need to lose weight so that i can run alot easier runing a quarter of a mile has been alot harder than usually lately. I have to eat out alot and i get a salad sometimes. Im trying really hard. I was wondering if anybody had any fast weight loss tips. I want to be about thirty pounds lighter by my freshman year next year.

Thats a great idea losing the weight now, its easier to lose the weight when your younger then when you get older, its harder to lose those extra pounds as you age. Not only will you feel better about yourself, its beneficial for your health, Its a good way to reduce blood pressure, easier on your heart, and will make you feel better mentally. You did not mention how tall you are, but if your five feet and under, you are overweight and risking heart disease as you get older.Stay away from fast food places, they are loaded with fat and carbs. keep away from junk foods, soda, candy, cake, ice cream, potato chips, stuff like that.If you watch your carbs and increase your activity level with exercise you can and will lose weight, its doesn t happen overnight though. Here is a great place to start a great fitness program, one where you can do it in the comfort of your own home, even though I m not overweight, its a great program and I keep fit and stick to it.http://www.tkqlhce.com/fh77kjspjr69FGC9C

Find something like dancing that you enjoy cause you re more likely to want to do it and will find fewer excuses not to!I really like the ministry of sound pump it up dvds, targeted dance aerobics thats so much fun it almost doesn t feel like exercise (until the next day.....) try it, also maybe take up skating or similar and go with your friends to make it social not exercise.

Do lots of cardio- 40 mins a day- and eat fruits, veggies, and whole grains. Eat 5 small meals a day to boost your metabolism. Try 1500 calories total a day.

You should always focus on a strong diet/workout plan that will suit your weight loss goals and the time you need to do it. I have tried all sorts of methods to lose weight and here are the three things to concentrate on. Exercising is one of the main things you should. Some people claim to not have time but you should at least get some cardio in and get the heart racing. Then the diet is the next thing you need to consider. I m on a strict calorie diet which brings us to the next thing. Diet pillsI have tried all sorts of them and the only ones that work are the natural ones that contain herbs. The right one will give you plenty of energy along with amazing weight loss support. I m on Proactol which is a natural appetite suppressant along with being a fat blocker. It really stops the food cravings along with blocking up to 28% of the fat you eat. It s really incredible if your wanting to lose a lot of weight and maintain the weight you want. Read up about Proactol at Theweightlossplace.com where I saved $30 on Proactol and got a lot of info there. Good luck and I hope this helps.

Just get out and walk. Say after that quarter mile run you walk an additional 20-30 minutes.Eat as healthy as possible. And resistance/weight training helps.Eventually the pounds will shed and you ll be able to run and lift more. And it will be like a train, Slow to start off but once it gets going you will be able to do a lot. but don t forget you have to keep adding coal to the fire to keep the train moving.=]good luck and have fun with it.

Anyone read quot; The Secretquot;? I need help with weight loss!? -

So....i need help losing weight...but the stuff in The Secret isnt working! it seemed so perfect. Maybe I m doing something wrong. Please help!!or any general REALLY GOOD fast (healthy) weight loss tips would be great.

I found this on Yahoo HealthIt is a time-honored tradition to make resolutions at this time of year. If your resolution is to lose weight - and keep it off, then keep reading! Here are six simple tips that will have you losing weight in a balanced and healthy way.1. Lose weight with water.Water is essential for everybody - it is also the key to losing weight. If you haven t been drinking enough water, your body has developed a pattern of storing water. This water retention equals extra unwanted weight.By drinking more water, you are not only flushing out toxins, you are also teaching your body that it no longer needs to store water. Drink at least 60 ounces of water (about 8 glasses) a day. Boil water and sliced lemons, and drink this throughout the day to help with fluid retention. If you are still not sold on the merits of water, try this on for size: water is a natural appetite suppressant.2. Soup up your weight loss program.A simple dietary change will have you shedding pounds: eat a bowl of soup at least once a day. Nutritious, low-salt soups will nourish you as they flush waste from your body. People who eat a serving of soup daily lose more weight than those who eat the same amount of calories but don t eat soup. Go for homemade soup whenever possible, as canned soups are loaded with salt and chemicals.3. Eat early to keep weight off.The human body follows a circadian rhythm, which means that the same foods eaten at breakfast and lunch are processed differently than when eaten at dinner. Studies show that when you eat your daily protein and fat at breakfast you tend to lose weight and have more energy; however, eating the same things at dinner tend to increase tendencies toward weight gain. I suggest that you eat your last meal of the day by 7 p.m.4. Eat smaller meals, more frequently.Follow an eating schedule with five little meals every day. Eating steadily through the day keeps you from becoming famished and overeating at your next meal. Make a low-fat trail mix from raw almonds, pumpkin seeds, dried plum, and apples and have it available at all times to avoid the tempting lure of high-calorie snacks.5. Adopt a balanced approach to your diet. Most of the fad diet programs out there nowadays are extreme in a few recommended foods, or else deprive the body of food altogether. This works in opposition to our metabolism and the results usually don t last, producing a yoyo effect that depresses your metabolic function - not to mention your self-esteem. We are natural beings that need a balance of nutrition from all sources.Your diet should consist of a balance of organic sources of lean protein, complex carbohydrates, whole grains, legumes, nuts, fruits, and vegetables. Instead of white rice and pasta, opt for brown rice, bulgur, millet, or buckwheat.Eat more green, chlorophyll-rich foods such as broccoli, kale, spinach, and asparagus. Eliminate candy, sugar, soda, and all simple sugars from your diet. Excess sugar ends up being stored as fat in your body, which results in weight gain. Also, keep dairy to a minimum because most dairy products are high in saturated fat. Avoid fatty foods, processed or fried foods.6. Walk off the weight. The No. 1 cause of weight gain is inactivity. Physical activity is the key to speeding up your metabolism and burning excess calories. The best way to be physically active is to use your legs! Walk as often and as long as you can. Always take the stairs instead of the elevator.Step outside during your break at work and take a walk around your building. Consider joining a local hiking club. Try taking a walk 30 minutes in the morning or 30 minutes in the early evening.I hope this article helps you shed some pounds and add on the years! I invite you to visit often and share your own personal health and longevity tips with me.May you live long, live strong, and live happy!-Dr. Mao

you know why it isnt working? Because its another scam! like every other weightloss sales pitch

of course the secret works...the whole idea is to, say to yourself positive affirmations, like no matter what i eat, I am skinny type of thing. and picture yourself in the body you want to have, of course it won t just pop up, you have to work for it.

Is there anyone else out there that has Hashimotos disease and only responds with mega doses? -

I developed Hashimoto s disease while pregnant 4 years ago. My meds have never been able to control my TSH. My thyroid was eventually removed because it was non-functional, and was thought to be cancerous. I have had (at the beginning)50mcg and very recently 375mcg. None of it worked. In December my TSH was at 187.6 and my doctor was concerned because my heart rate and blood pressure were low. My reflex-reaction time was very slow. My doctor placed me on this program where I was taking half a gram twice weekly, rather than a daily pill. It was the only thing that worked, but it was such a pain to have to go in so often, and my employer made that worse. I am now on daily meds -which AREN T working. Has anyone else had a similar experience? If so, was it temporary? And also (as usual) weight-loss tips that work would be appreciated.

Have you tried different thyroid meds or just stuck with one? Low heart rate and b/p could be symptoms of low cortisol...have you been tested for this? Do you have GI problems as well? Its possible there is something going on with your pituitary and it is spitting out too much TSH so tests should be done on that. Are you seeing an endocrinologist or just a GP? If GP switch to endo because GPs don t understand this stuff.

I have Hashimoto s too. You need to be on a high dose because you have no thyroid. You will have to be on daily meds. I am surprised they let you take a weekly dose. I would definitely talk to an endocrinologist. You may have more going on.

How do I gain some motivation to lose weight in a time of distress? (vegetarian)? -

I used to be SO SKINNY (108 lbs throughout high school) I married a year and a half ago to my high school sweetheart. It was really random...we hadn t even lived in the same town in 5 years. We realize we rushed into it and we ve been spending a lot of energy trying to piece ourselves together as individuals so we can be happy in marriage as we both come from broken backgrounds (doesn t everyone these days??). Our marriage has involved lots of emotional, physical and verbal abuse resulting in lots of counseling and reading and for me, weight gain. I m finally starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel with my marriage but I ve gained a lot of weight even as a vegetarian. I m 5 3 150 LBS size 8/9 ish. I still feel a bit of depression and feel exhausted when I attempt to exercise. Does anyone have any weight loss tips for the depressed and comfort eater that is me?? I m on weight watchers core plan and the scale hasn t changed which only depresses me more. Thanks
