Help in losing weight.? -

I am 28 years old 5 5 and weight 190, yes I know. I did not always weigh this much it was only until after my daughter was born and I just kept gaining. I am at work for almost 12 to 13 hours a day and the rest of the time I am at home with my daughter. I was on the Quick Weight Loss Program, lost 25 pounds and gained it back. I have since tried it again, but nothing seems to make it come off anymore. I just want to be the same weight I was years ago, but I am just having trouble. I need to be able to afford the food, because as a single mother who works all the time I do not have the money to buy all the food that these programs want. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it. As far as exercise by the time I get home me and my daughter do manage to walk around the neighborhood but than it gets too late. Thanks to all who gives me answers

Here is something that I found with proven results. you don t need to purchase anything special or work out a lot to loose weight. you can eat the same food as you eat right now but eat LESS.

Well, there are no easy answers! It all does come down to genetics, diet and exercise. No program will be successful without exercise (and a combination of aerobic and weight bearing is best). The first thing that comes to mind is stress (which will cause you to gain). Look on the internet (about.com has good stuff) on stress relief. And make sure you get enough sleep even if you have to cut out other things. You might go to a Dr. and have your hormones checked. Having a baby can sometimes throw them off (and many women suffer from thyroid problems that go undiagnosed).Otherwise, all the stuff our grandmother s told us is still true. Fruits and veggies, stay away from processed foods, white flour, trans fat, fast food. Try to have protein each meal but not so much from red meat. Try to eat more smaller meals than fewer big ones. And don t skip breakfast. Also, exercise is mandatory (both for stress and weight). Maybe you can join a Curves? or maybe your work has something? Otherwise, walking in your neighborhood is cheap, especially if you add a few dumbbells for upper body strength. The older we get, the harder it gets. Just keep at it. It s the story of the tortoise and hare. Lose it quick, regain it quick. Lose it slow (with LIFESTYLE changes) and keep it off.Good luck.

Problem with programs with names such as Quick Weight Loss - they are crash diets, and the problem with them is that you gain back easily when off the diet. In fact, crash diets may be harmful to the body especially if you restrict your calorie intake too much. The body literally freaks out and doesn t allow you to lose so much weight - it cannibalizes your muscle instead. Food doesn t have to be so complicated. The standard formula for weight loss is this: Eat healthfully. You may choose to eat more protein, or get a balanced mix of proteins, carbohydrates and healthy fats. You may not think that protein is important since you don t exercise intensively, but it keeps you feeling fuller for longer, builds muscle (tones the body), and promotes weight loss, as muscle burns fat, so the more muscle tone you have, the more base fat you burn. Try to have protein at every meal if possible. I have read research which shows that eating several small meals throughout the day is more beneficial than the usual three meals - worth a try if your schedule allows.Secondly, exercise. It s good that you are walking - cardio exercise is the key to shedding pounds. The issue of time is never an easy one. Perhaps you could invest in a jump rope or a trampoline which allows you to exercise even in the comfort of your own home. Of course, a treadmill or static bike would take up a lot of money...I m not sure about postpartum weight gain, but I hope my advice gives you more options to plan your attack on those evil pounds.

I need to loose 30 lbs....Motivation, success stories, and weight loss tips appreciated! Thanks!? -

I am a strong and sexy woman in my 20 s and I just recently moved and started a new life in a new city. I am starting at the local university and my life is heading a a great direction. There is just one problem. Due to stress from things that have been happening in my life for the last few years I have gained 30 plus lbs. I am worried about my health because I have a history of heart problems, strokes, and diabetes among other things in my family. People in my family pass at 65 or so usually. I have been thinking and since the rest of my life is going in the right direction, I would like to get my weight and health going that way also. I guess what I am looking for is any motivation, weight loss tips, or personal stories any one would like to share with me. I want to get fit and healthy so that I can be around for a long time and enjoy life. Thank you all for any responses. They are all very much appreciated!

Weight loss tips, for a difficult situationPlease help!!? -

I have been on crutches for 9 weeks and have put on weight and am now 12.2 stone and am 5ft8 i would like to get to 10.5/11, obiously i cant excersice (i have bad hips) any tips on loosing wieght or anything i can do (anothing thing i am 17) please help any suggestions?

I have been through it all and know what s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it s good for the heart. However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I ve found a great addition to help any one out, it s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace.com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it s the best pill I ve tried and I ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.

As a wellness coach I guarantee the herbalife products. Weight loss is 80% what you put into your body and only 20% exercise. Great nutritional value and your overall wellness increases.

Let s start.....I weighed 190 pounds and I lost 65 pounds........I will share my experience with u...........first of all don t expect any weight loss for one week when u make any changes in your diet or start exercising........your body will need sometime to change itself into fat burning mode ....first week eliminate all bad things from your diet .....like all processed foods, oily foods, sugary foods and fatty foods and all junk, ice creme, soda, chips , biscuits and all fast foods etc....... and replace them with low fat, low sugar, low sodium , whole grain foods etc........then make a weight loss plan for yourself.......u should eat 5 times a day , breakfast, snack, lunch, snack and dinner.........this week u will be changing your bad routine and creating a new good one......also try to analyze wut u do wrong and why have u gained all this weight so that u can change your behavior towards food........u will have to develop a new relationship with food all over.......and probably some of your bad habits too....try to chose healthy foods for all meals ....some tips to chose healthy meals for your plan1. try eating protein for breakfast....egg whites or protein shake2. snack should be any fresh fruit u like........strawberries, pineapple, apple, black grapes, watermelon are all great for weight loss cos they are full of nutrients and have antioxidant properties as well3. eat lots of raw veggie salad before lunch so that u still feel full and then eat whole wheat bread tuna sandwich etc.....4. drink green tea to boost metabolism with some drops of lemon and honey5. another great snack option is a cup of low-fat yogurt ........its great for permanent fat loss6. a handful of almonds, pumpkin seeds or sunflower seeds are examples of good fat as a snack and they provide lots of energy and keep blood sugar stable so that u don t any cravings7. dinner should be lots of soup or stir-fried vegetables........try not eating rice or bread for dinner ...eat them for lunch after salad8 if u feel like eating dessert try eating pineapple or mangoes or any sweet fruit like dates etc. 9 allow yourself one meal a week of your choice ......u can go out once a week for one meal but not more than that 10 drink lots of water but if u will drink hot water it will help u lose weight even faster ....hot water has lots of health benefits......or at least try drinking two glasses of hot water first thing in the morning ....if u can add some drops of lemon it will be even better....it will help u get rid of toxins fast and improve digestive system and liver function. Also imagine yourself slim and think about the reward after all this effort.....it will be worth it and remember weight loss is possible but self-discipline and consistency is the key. Good luck!!http://getfatfreebody.com

Any free sites like the biggest loser club? -

Biggest loser club is so expensive and i cant afford to spend so much money on a weight loss program that may or may not work. Are there and good free or atleast cheaper sites that are roughly the same as biggest loser club?Im in Australia BTW

There are several businesses in my area which do have their own Biggest Loser Club. These are employee operated and something that s done for their own use. For instance my daughter and her friends, which all work at the same hospital, started a Biggest Loser Club. They decided on an amount that would be a good incentive to keep them interested in their weight loss. 15 girls put in $100.00 and after the 3 or 6 month weight loss term the one that lost the most weight and fat was rewarded with this money. They used their own diet and exercise plan, so really there was no membership fee, just their part to participate for winner take all. This is something any group can do and the reward can be anything. You can even have free babysitting every weekend for a month. It doesn t have to be expensive, just make it fun for everyone while losing weight. Hey , I might start one myself. Good luck! P.S. I googled biggest loser club and you can watch free videos from the show and get great recipes and workout programs from different sites.

At a quot;Healthyquot; Weight of 150 lbs at 510, Will Just Eating A Healthy, 1500 Calorie Diet Bring me to 130 lbs -

Oh, and I do 30 minutes cardio 3x a week. If I do this, will it help me continuously lose weight or would I have to go on a radical, long-term diet to get down to 130 lbs? I know 150 lbs is an acceptable BMI for my height, but I still feel bulky and overweight. I m not trying to get stick thin - 130 is the absolute lowest I want to go. If I just follow the healthy weight-loss lifestyle, will I actually LOSE the weight or will my body refuse since it s not overweight to begin with? This is when I begin to think I may have to cut back many more calories or exercise a lot more to get my body to finally go past its comfort zone .

Given your height, I would just eat a healthy diet and let exercise do the work. Seems to me you don t really need to loose weight, you need to firm up what you have. The harder and longer you work out the more calories you allow yourself. This establishes goals that work. Good Luck.

Twenty pounds is nothing. That should come of pretty quickly. But the rule is, don t lose more than two pounds per week. No radical diet needed. 30 minutes 3 times per week is not enough. Should be 45 minutes every day. Same time every day. But don t kill yourself. A fast walk is perfect. No animal fats. Plenty of whole grains. Dried and fresh fruit. Lots of veggies. Fresh lowfat yoghurt is good. Juices. No soda pop whatsoever, Even the diet dreck. Cut that out now! Plenty of water. Whole grain rice, legumes, olive oil. No margerine of any kind for the rest of your life. No store-bought bread, unless it says no preservatives . The same with fast food. After you get down to 130, then you can have the occasional steak or pork chop. No harm. BTW, your body will never refuse to lose weight. However,if you starve yourself, your body can switch into the famine mode and really work to conserve calories. And if you crash to your desired weight, in this case 130, when you go off the diet, your body will start storing calories like crazy since it s afraid another famine might be right around the corner. That s why crash diets never work. Also, vigorous exercise acts as an appetite suppressant. That s why I think it s important every day, at the same time every day. After you get there, cut back and take a rest day every week.

How much weight do you have to lose to have excess skin? -

I m around 5 4 - 5 5 and weigh 170lbs and I m 18 years old. I ve just started a healthy weight loss program and my goal weight is around 110 - 120lbs, I m just wondering if I will likely have excess skin after that much weight loss??

You won t have any excess skin, that is a big misconception that alot of people have. Excess skin happens when someone gets lyposuction or any kind of surgery...like the lap band. They end up losing weight so fast that their skin doesn t have time to mold with their body. Now if you re on a healthy weight loss program and you are working out, your skin will have plenty of time to mold with your body and you won t end up with the excess skin. So that s a REALLY good thing! My sister lost 70 lbs healthy diet and excersise and 0 excess skin so I know from personal experience.

Any tips for healthy weight loss....? -

I need a diet plan. Nothing outrageously ridiculous. I already do a hell of alot of excercise.... I am 5 6, 121 pounds. I know that is not overweight or anything but just a month ago ( on the exact same very accurate digital scales) I was 110!!! I cannot fit into my jeans and my tops have become extremely tight! I dont look good with this amount of fat on me!! My fitness level has gone down and... it just looks wrong. Like i have a spare tyre around me. I dont look like myself. Guys. I need help. Desperately.

To be honest, dieting isn t the best way to lose weight, because once you start you start on the diet scale... goes up and down.. only way to really maintain weight loss and actually lose weight is by having a more active lifestyle... Have all the foods you want.. but in moderation don t go over the limit.. Try just having 3 meals a day ..people think that skipping meals is the way to go but actually makes u gain weight.... and in retrospect when u take away the things you most like to eat specially carbs and stuff for a long time your body becomes deficient to that certain item .. does a lot more harm then good but yeh drink a lot of water.. If your active everyday then keep at it dont think oh if i do 2hrs of exercise today then i don t need to do it tomorrow.. its totally wrong you just need to take out 30mins a day to do some kind of exercise whether it be light aerobics or sit ups and leg ups.. keep at it, you ll lose the weight and if you feel that u need more attention to exercise.. you could always go sign up with a gym... or just actually ask at your local gym what to do at home.. anyway hope this helps ciao^^;;

do cardio exercise its great to burn fat and boost confidence drink 8-10 glasses of water U should have a healthy balanced diet have more fibre and protein in your diet they keep you full and energized and you should have small meal every 3 hours check this site for article on fat burning foods, lazy way to lose weight, high protein diet and fibre and more fibre this should get you started

here is what my dietician suggests - follow a practical diet. start your meal with a soup or a huge salad. this fills u up. Make sure your plate has this ratio - 50% veg, 25% carb, 25% protein.this will prevent cravings too.an occassional treat is OK. have a snack every three hours. fruit (ideally berries) or soy nuts. just 2 tbsp of soya subsides hunger pangs. switch from white rice and bread to brown. eat 900gms of veggies a day.Lose a kilo a week. that is permanent loss. pick an exercise regime you like. get a pedometer and take 10,000 steps everyday.
