Can someone reccomend a weight loss tips for a 15 year old girl? -

Well i m 15 and i am 5 3.5 I weigh in at 156 lbs. I just need some tips on like what should I cut out of my diet and things like that pointers would be much appreciated.Thankyou!!!

Hi !I have answered this question so many times that I now just copy and paste my story !If you want to loose fat, I suggest eating a well balanced diet.Grilled or baked lean meats, fruits, fiber, vegetables, water and un - salted nuts. Exercise 5 days of the week, alternating with cardio and strength training. Do not cross out anything from your diet , save the 2 days that you do not work out for being able to eat junk foods. You will not over indulge, after 2 weeks of eating a well balanced diet, on the 2 off days you have, you will not want as much junk food. I lost 105 pounds in 1 year by eating this way.

Contact your physician about this. You are too young to be thinking about losing weight, since you re still growing.Trust me, if you keep to a healthy diet you will automatically lose weight.Just don t eat more than you need to eat, but don t starve. Eat three meals a day and eat healthy.

dont eat unless your stomach growls

Grilled cheese is good too. Don t forget fruit. 2 glasses of water. multivitamins and minerals.coffee breaks: fruit, vegetables, protein snacks (protein helps you feel fuller), herbal tea (great for energy and weightloss) and 1 glass of water. (if your a coffee drinker cut down to 2 a day).Dinner: a regular meal just cutting a bit each time and add fruits and vegetables, multivitamins and minerals (great for overall health) and 2 glasses of water. Make your favourite salad skip the dressing and add diced grapesMmmmmm.Exercise: Get out and be active, go for a brisk walk, bike ride, swim, skate, rollerblade, go outside and play, if your take the bus home get off a few stops earlier the important thing is to be ACTIVE and do more than you normally do.Evenings: fruit, protein snacks, (Herbalife has great protein snacks like Vanilla Almond Protein Bar, so delicious and my favourite).Important: Never skip a meal, snack more with healthier choices, drink plenty of water, take your multivitamins and minerals and exercise. And most important take care of yourself. With Herbalifes total health and nutrition, following a daily plan like the one above and an exercise program I lost 56 lbs. Understand that everything you ve done up to now, everything that you have produced in your life came from you. Where you are right now is the result of YOUR choices and YOUR thinking. i love the south beach diet. take a look at the book. it s become a way of life for me. initially i lost 25 pounds, and am at a very comfortable weight. i haven t gained a pound in 5 years. and i have to confess that, although i know exercise is important for all kinds of reasons, i hate to sweat! you don t have to exercise to lose weight on south beach. good luck to you!

Don t go on a diet at all if you want to lose weight for good. Instead try eating more veggies and fruits and stay away from junk food. Make wise choices (does this have any nutritional value and is it over processed?) and don t worry so much. If you go into a diet mind frame it will be hard to stick to. Just focus on healthy things and you will see results.

I am a healthy size 00 and you can be too. NO PROCESSEd FOOD. NO WHITE BREAD, NO CORN SYRUP. NO CANDY or COOKIES or CAKE or RESTAURANT food. EAT: If it is fresh fruit or veggies, meat (no additives), Whole grain bread without corn syrup eat all you want. Cut out processed artificial foods (fake flavours and colors) and your body will become the shape it is meant to b.

You could try horizontal crunches and sit-ups. Eat 5-6 portioned meals a day instead of 3 large ones with occasional snacks. Eat a lot of fruits veges. cut down on fat by replacing it with protein. Eat until you feel full but not over what you can t. Include one or two junk foods at the MOST in a daily diet. Drink a lot of water. Make sure you have enough fiber. Exercise without over-straining for one hour a day seven days a week. Try to make your calorie outtake a little bigger then your calorie intake. Consult your doctor for a more accurate plan. Talk to a dietitian at your local doctors office. My above recommendations do not include an illness or disorder of any sort. Last but least I am in no way, shape, or form a medical expert.

Losing weight is easier than you may think. You can still eat what you want, just eat half of what you normally would at each serving, and eat about 5 times a day. If you like sweets limit yourself to one serving a day(in the middle of the day). I did this and lost 13lbs in one month.

hypnosis works great for weight reduction. It doesnt so much target a specific diet plans so much as the reasons why you eat more than you should.

How much should i be exercising for maxim healthy weight loss? -

i go on the elliptical usally 2-3 times a week for 2 and a half hours each time im gonna try to start going 5 times a week though what can i do so i dont get so tired

The 5-7 hours a week you are currently exercising is enough. If you are still not losing weight, you need to address other areas.Nutrition is the most important aspect of a comprehensive weight loss plan. If you are not losing weight, then you are consuming too many calories. Get a food journal and track your calorie consumption. Also make sure you are getting at least 7 hours of sleep each and every night.

Most experts recommend exercising 4 or more days per week (ideally 6 times per week) and a minimum of 30min each time but ideally 1hr each time. If you are exercising for 2 hours each time, you may want to try to cut it down to 1 hour but increase the intensity (speed). You want to exercise to get your heartrate up to 80% of its maximum. Maximum heart rate is 220 minus your age. Then times that number by 0.8 to get your ideal exercise heart rate.

Healthy Weight Loss Program: Your Personal Exercise Prescription ? A review of the basic fat burning exercise prescription principles utilized in a healthy weight loss program is presented. A fat burning exercise prescription is a MUST for the long term success of any healthy weight loss program. Guidelines for healthy weight loss related to exercise and physical activity have been steadily improving over the last 20 years. Along with the 1996 Surgeon General s recommendations, the American College of Sports Medicine, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the American Heart Association have all issued statements on the importance of regular physical exercise in a healthy weight loss program. The diet industry also endorses exercise as a beneficial component in any healthy weight loss plan. In fact, look at the disclaimers of any fad diet, special weight loss pill, or fat reducing fruit nectar and you ll see where, in addition to the unbelievable benefits of their product, the practice of proper nutrition and consistent aerobic exercise are highly recommended to achieve optimal healthy weight loss results. In other words, these companies are telling you that eating right and the incorporation of moderate aerobic exercise have more to do with the overall outcome of the healthy weight loss plan than does their miracle pill . Overview 1. Determine your age adjusted maximum heart rate (220 - your age = maximum heart rate) 2. Determine your optimum fat burning exercise heart rate range (maximum heart rate x .6 = minimum heart rate; maximum exercise heart rate x .75 = maximum exercise heart rate 3. Exercise for 30 minutes, 3 times per week, keeping your heart rat between 60% and 75% of your age adjusted maximum heart rate. 4. Perform the flexibility exercises listed below 2 - 3 times per week. Exercise Prescription Exercise, by definition, means purposeful movement. Although many kinds of exercise exist, certain exercises may not be necessarily therapeutic for you. Remember, an exercise prescription is just that; it s a prescription. Very little benefit will be obtained with nonspecific, over the counter exercise programs. Your understanding of the purpose, principles, and adherence to each prescribed exercise technique will be essential to the development of a positive outcome. The purposes of an exercise prescription are to: 1. Increase muscular flexibility 2. Normalize and balance muscle tone by increasing oxygen rich blood flow to the tissue 3. Integrate muscle activity 4. Restoration of functional movement 5. Restoration of functional muscle strength and endurance The exercise principles listed below serve as a guideline for proper application. Study the principles carefully in order to maximize the effectiveness of your exercise program. Exercises designed to improve flexibility should be performed several times per day. Each exercise should be held for 30-60 seconds to allow the tissue to elongate. Exercise prescribed to improve strength, mobility, and endurance should be performed at a pace that would enable you to complete the prescribed number of repetitions in one minute. If multiple sets are prescribed for each exercise session, a 90 second rest interval should follow each set. Never hold your breath during exercise. Your therapist will instruct you in the proper breathing technique that will facilitate a better exercise outcome. You may experience a slight ache or discomfort following your first or second exercise session. This is a normal reaction referred to as delayed onset muscle soreness (DOMS) and should go away in a day or so. This type of muscle soreness is not a cause for stopping your exercise program. If the exercise reproduces a specific pain or makes an already existing pain become more widespread, stop the exercise and inform your physician immediately. Allow yourself enough time to complete the exercise as prescribed. Exercise sessions that are rushed through with little attention paid to technique will be ineffective and will prolong your symptoms. If time becomes an issue, perform a few repetitions several times throughout the day. Don t be in a hurry to advance to more strenuous exercise. Remember that tissue adaptation to new forms of stress takes time. In some cases it took years for your condition to develop. It is unrealistic to expect that the condition will be resolved after just a few exercise sessions. Compliance with your prescribed program and patience will result in the desired outcome. In combination with a healthy diet and nutrition plan, a fat burning exercise prescription is a necessary component of any healthy weight loss program. Before beginning any healthy weigh loss program, it is strongly advised that you consult with your physician. Losing weight too fast? -

I know they say not to lose more than 1-2 pounds a week for healthy weight loss, but I wonder how true that actually is. I see on the biggest loser for example, people lose much more than that and end up very fit and healthy in the end. So, is it just unhealthy to lose weight to fast from dieting alone, and safe as long as any extra is due to exercise? Or is it just unsafe no matter what? Can someone explain it to me?

Been there, done that and have a t-shirt for it. It is easier to maintain weight that is loss in small amounts because it is more likely to be real fat loss. Most, if not all fad diets usually results in excess water loss first. Changing to healthy eating habits can result in initial large amounts of weight loss the first week or so, but it should slow down. The change may again result in ridding the body of excess retained water. Proper eating, diet and exercise should result in small amounts of weight loss. The target should be to eat a healthy diet and burn more calories than you take in. Once your at your goal increase calories intake, continue a healthy diet to include controlled intake of bad food and continue a healthy exercise routine to maintain the healthy weight. The faster the weight comes off, the easier it will be to pile back on. Slow and steady wins the race.

Firstly, people on the biggest loser are usually very overweight. They just have more lbs of fat to lose then most people, so its easier to take it off faster. Also, it is safe and possible to lose more then 1-2 lbs a week, but you do need to do it through exercise not just diet. If you expect to lose weight permanently, you need to be not starving yourself. You d need to be doing a very long/hard workout almost ever day to lose more then 1-2 and it can be difficult to keep on that kind of program, and many people just don t have that kind of time/energy.
