Weight loss, fad diets, and gaining weight? -

What is the difference between healthy weight loss and healthy weight gain? Why do you think fad diets are so popular?

The difference is one your taking off the weight and the other your putting on. Fad diets are popular because they seem easier than eating healthier and exercise. Most times they are not healthier though.

Healthy loss is like 2-4 pounds a week, nice and gradual to not shock your body.Healthy weight gain I guess is you know, as you get older you will obviously weigh more, but you know gaining like a few pounds a week isn t good for your heart, most likely you are eating very badly.Fad diets are popular cuz people want a quick fix, but nothing but diet and exercise works.

Whenever you are trying to lose weight, you should concentrate on these three things which all work together in providing a healthier and quicker weight loss goal for yourself. I have found this combination really successful in my weight loss plans. The first thing is exercising and how much you can put forth into it. The more you exercise, the more results you will see. The next thing is dieting and the calorie intake. If you exercise more, technically you could eat more? Always watch what you eat.Now the last step in a good weight loss plan is always a good diet pill that can help you get to the end of the road. I have found Proactol which is a natural herbal diet pill to be the best around. It s an appetite suppressant along with being a fat blocker which stops up to 28% of fat you eat. Read up about it at TheWeightLossPlace .com where I saved money on it. Proactol really works well with exercising which gives you plenty of energy to perform. Along with that your diet will be affected by Proactol due to the appetite suppressant and fat blocker. If you slip up on meals, the fat blocker kicks in. It s really great to stop food cravings.Concentrate on those three things and the combination is deadly for the fat cells in your body. Good luck and I hope this helps.

How can I reduce fat only around my belly and hips and not overall? -

I have read somewhere that it s not possible to do spot reduction with regards to weigh/fat loss. During weight loss we loose weight overall rather than specific to a particular region. Is this true? I have a thin frame hence when I go on a diet spree or weight loss program I tend to loose fat at other places like shoulder, arms etc which make me look leaner/thin. Please help me with any suggestions!

Yes, I am afraid it is 100% absolutely true!No matter what anyone tells you, you cannot target an area to lose fat on. If you did a million sit ups you may well lose weight on your tummy but that would only be because of the calories you burned whilst doing them NOT the exercise itself and you may lose the fat somewhere other than on your tummy.Genetics/your body decides. On a brighter note: At some point in your weight loss program you would start to lose the weight on your belly and hips. You just need to persevere and eventually your body gets round to targeting the areas you wished it had targeted earlier.

There is a misconception that you can target fat loss in different parts of the body. In reality, the body breaks down fat evenly across the whole body. This is good, because when you reach the correct weight, there will not be bits of you that are too fat and bits that are too thin. There are many types of diets around, from the low carb variety, such as the Atkins diet, to diets that require you to control your calorie intake, and those based on the Glycemic Index, GI diet, and variations in between. In reality, the best diet is one that does not require checking food labels, counting calories, buying diet pills or eating something you don t like, and works naturally. If you really want to lose weight for good look into the following link which gives you a solution which is really easy to follow and becomes a way of life, rather than just a diet. Don t follow the link if you don t want to lose weight.

If you want to do this, you need to do bend overs and side bends. For at less 30 mins. in the morning, 30 mins. in the afternoon and 30 mins. in the evening! And, there you go you should see improvement with-in 2 weeks!

No you can not spot reduce one area of your body. You can do some moderate weight training in shoulders and arms and you won t look to lean.

Healthy Weight Loss or a teen? -

I am 14 and I think i m fat. I want to know ways to loose weight and look smaller as fast as possibe. i am 5 3 and i weigh 136 and I wear a size 7 sometimes 5 in Hollister Jeans. I don t eat alot like a distusting pig, I eat 3 meals a day. I don t play anyspoert and i don t workout. What are some tips for slimming down but staying healthy?

one word....exercise

Hi I am pretty young myself and think I am fat. When I was 12 I lost 25 pounds in 2 years. I know that may seem a long time but that fat will never come back to me. I lost the weight by exercising 5 times a week, and stayign away from junk food. My family was really supportive of my weight loss and now, I am not skinnny, skinny but I look better than I did. I was in a XL shirt and now I am in a M-L. Weight doesn t just bounce off if you exercised for 3 hours. It takes time. And you don t want to lose it too fast cause you can gain even more the next time round. Anyway I hope that helps :)

It is possible to lose weight fast but you should be realistic and take on board that if you lose weight fast then you will without doubt put it all back on again just as fast. The sole method which clearly showed results for me is wu-yi tea, it can be viewed in the resource box underneath, they have a limited number of free trials in stock, it has been highlighted in Fox News and CNN. I shed 20 pounds, it clearly does produce success!

Is it harder to gain weight or lose weight? -

If you have to gain weight, would it be harder than losing weight? I am on a weight loss program and it is going REALLY slowly!

A lot of people do not realize but they take about the same time. You do not wake up overnight 10lbs heavier, so you should not think that you will lose it overnight either. Stay motivated...hang a picture of your former lighter self and see what you are doing all of this for...

Losing weight is hardest.

It took me almost 6 years to go from 78 lbs to 115. Its so hard to put on weight. I envy women who are loosing weight (I used to work in a gym as a trainer and saw how wonderful it can be!) because if you are motivated it WILL happen. However sometimes you just can not gain weight no matter what you try.

Most people it s hard to lose and ez to gain. Some people different tho.

it is equally hard. gaining weight is hard for people with really fast metabolisms and are super skinny, but it s easy for people w/ slow metabolisms and who are overweight. it s hard for people to lose weight who are overweight, because food is a major part of life and a huge temptation. neither is easy. overweight people, such as myself, may think it would be incredibly easy to gain weight, because we do it so easily (hence being overweight), but it is not so easy for those people who need to do it.

it is hard to gain weight

How to lose 75 lbs in 4 months? -

I ve been reading legit articles from CNN, etc. of successful and healthy weight loss stories such as an older lady losing 75 lbs in 4 months but there are no specific details on how that was acheived. Just generic exercise and diet. I need details. How do I go about achieving this? I already have high blood pressure and difficulty conceiving due to excess weight. Please help!

Do it for yourself : easiest way to lose weight is to decide for yourself that you really want to lose weight if you are not motivated enough than nothing is going to happenExercise : do cardio exercise, yoga, pilates its great to burn fat and it will tone ur body as well, Dancing can be one of the ways of a work out and you may not even get bored of it.Diet wise : drink 8-10 glasses of water. U should have a healthy balanced diet have more fibre and protein in your diet they keep you full and energized and you should have small meal every 3 hours and dont eat before 3 hrs of going to bed and soup it make u full and has less calories just avoid the cream and make the soup in this way mix veggies and water sort of a thick soup its very filling and sometimes tasty. You should look at how you are eating these days. Eating healthy food lets you have a healthy body. You should stop using food that has fat and contains sweets in it. You should prefer having fruits and vegetables over them along with some work out. Check the below articles for weight loss tips. http://cashsunshine.blogspot.com/search/

I am having touble with my Diet. Please tell me what I am doing wrong? -

I am 124 and I am 5 1 and I want to lose 9 more lbsI eat 1212 calories Monday - friday netNet means I burn say 300 daily working out M-F 30 mins a day and I eat back my calories so the total calories consumed minus what I burned is 1212 ishMy work out consists of 20 mins (215 calories) of Eliptical weight loss program level six and eight alternating. Then 10 Minutes of resistance training. I mix it up daily but try to always get some ab work in there as well as the rest of me. I also do a 500 calorie Salsa Aerobics class once a week. I do not eat back those calories because that is to make up for not going to the gym on the weekend. I keep my sodium aroun 1500 -1700 mg per dayI am drinking nothing but waterMy meals are consitant of Fiber One 9am , salad with chicken feta and light dressing 12pm, one protein smoothie from Robecks 2pm, a snack of fruit with cottage cheese or peanutbutter before leaving work around 4:30 pm, Chicken, Fish, or lean meat with loads of veggies for dinner, and fruit or something small around 9pm. On weekends I am less strict but I do not go overboard at all. I have cut out alcohol.I get 100+ g of protein a dayI get 20-25 g of fiber a dayI lost 6 lbs in the first week which was probably mostly water weight. But now it is 3 and 1/2 weeks total and I have not lost anything other then that first 6 lbs... I have measured and I haven t gone down any inches either!!!Please tell me what I am doing wrong

Sometimes your body gets used to the same old routine. I would switch the cardio and resistance training. Resistance for 20 and cardio for the 10, that makes your body think different. I would switch it up every week so your body doesn t get in a habit.I personally do weights for 1.5 hours 4 days a week and finish up with 15-30 cardio on those days. Serious, the men have it down, I am not buff at all and I notice my posture is soooo much better doing the upper body workouts.
