Weight loss is a marathon, not a sprint. People who lose a half a pound every week are more likely to reach their target weight than the ones who lose a lot of weight at the beginning, and then give up when the going gets tough. The best and most effective way to lose weight or maintain a healthy weight is through changing your eating habits and exercising regularly. 1. Choose whole grains.2. Drink plenty of water.3. Choose lean meats and fish.4. Know the portion sizes for your calorie target.5. Limit fats to an average of 15 grams per meal.6. Choose fresh fruits and vegetables whenever possible.7. Work out for no less that 45 minutes, 4-5 days a week.8. Select foods with less than 3 grams of fat per 100 calories.9. Choose pretzels, baked chips, fat-free popcorn instead of fries and chips.10. Avoid foods with partially hydrogenated oils, trans-fats and high-fructose corn syrup. 11. Choose cereal, bread, crackers or chips that contain 2 or more grams of fiber per 100 calories.12. Choose fat-free or low-fat variety of foods especially when it comes to dairy products (milk, cheese, and yogurt). How To Boost Your Metabolismhttp://bit.ly/10cK3nSmart and Effective Weight Losshttp://short.to/qtabCalorie Burning And Reduction Strategieshttp://bit.ly/EKSci

I am 13, and obese, I am desperate, please help :(? -

I would really appreciate weight loss tips, it would mean alot.I am 5 4 and 184 pounds. I would like to lose around 50 pounds.

Start out slow. I am a little overweight and have lost some weight thru moderate exercise and diet. One thing I have cut out is midnight snacking on things like cheese and crackers and icecream.I snack on salsa and carrots and celery. It is good to start loosing but I think it is important to remember that you are a beautiful child of God just the way you are. Losing weight will likely increase your enjoyment of life, but it will not increase your worth.Good luck, my friend.

My mom is a trainer so I asked her. She said: Drink water before meals, only eat junk food after exercise, and eat it in very small portions, such as 3 cookies after an hour jog. Jog, run, walk, just get active. Sit ups, do them slowly for the best effect, it also makes them easier,(in my opinion) empty your house of all your junk food, when you are grocery shopping, only get fat free or reduced fat products, only organic and fresh foods, cut back on soda, we get alot of calories from sugary drinks.

I would cut out soft drinks, drink green tea, and water. put lemon juice in your water. Try to increase your exercise, if you re a computer freak, do leg lifts. if you like gaming, play more ddr. use your bike more, try to run short distances. lay off sweets junkfood, if you can, or cut your intake by half. It s the little things that matter. Good Luck.

When I was your age I weighed a bit more than you, but we re the same height. I walked a mile to my babysitting job and a mile back 5 days a week. I also did floor exercises for my butt and legs. I gave myself a daily treat of 3 sandwich cookies, but no other sweets. I lost 30 lbs in 3 months. I m now 54 and the weight doesn t come off that easy anymore, so I suggest you take control now.

Depending where you live I would suggest a program like Weight Watchers which teaches you about diet and exersize. Eat lots of unprocessed food, fruit ,vegies, drink 2 litres of water and exersize everyday.

Some everyday tips;Whenever possible, take the stairs, it may embarrass you but it helps to lose weight. Change your method of getting to school. If you normally get driven, ride your bike. If it is under 3km walk. Get a dog or some other playful animal. If you have a dog you need to walk it (unless it is tiny) and you will have some purpose in walking and begin to enjoy it more.Cut down your intake of sugar and carbohydrates.

lose weight it is not that hard holy crap get up off ur butt and lose weight.

OK FIRST START OFF ON SOME HEALTHY FOODS NOT JUNK FOOD. AND THEN IF THAT HELPS A LITTLE THEN GO OUTSIDE AND EXERCISE ALOT LIKE EVERY DAY.

jog, and run 15-25mins a day.

i relate. i would say watch what you eat carefully. you re young still so it s a good idea to start a healthy and LONG lifestyle of eatting properly. I m struggling rite now as well but i m a double waitress so it helps cuz i m alwase moving...i would advise you to walk a lot and do active things that you know you can live with forever....remember to be patience. it s better to be average, healthy, and happy, then to be thin, unhealthy, and unhappy......good luck to you.

Hey!Its really great that you want to lose weight, it sounds heaps cheesy but its true, youre taking the first step and you should be proud of yourself.First off, you need to start eating properly, if you dont already, that means cut out all the sugary fatty oily greasy stuff you know is bad for you! It may seem hard but once you see the difference from just eating healthy even without exercise, youll be so happy. Coz you can exercise all day long and eat crap after crap but you wont lose weight coz eating rights is 90% of the battle. So cut out all the bad stuff and eat all the good stuff. Good stuff: fruit and veg!!! lean meats, chicken, fish, pasta, potatoes! Try and only eat one carb based meal a day, and as the day goes on, eat smaller meals- so try and make breakfast or lunch your biggest meal, dinner your smallest. Also dont forget to snack, yep, thats right-snack. If you can eat something every 2-3 hours, something small like grapes, nuts, apple, banana, fruit, anything really. The idea is to eat more often, but smaller meals. This keeps your metabolism going and therefore makes your body think it needs to burn faster, because its getting more fuel. Itll take awhile to get used to and it may seem like youre putting on weight because your body will freak out but it will get it soon enough. You just need to train it. And youll be fine. And now comes the cardio! Cardio is the best way to lose weight coz youre getting your heart rate up. Up up up up and the scales go down down down. Seriously. Anything that gets your heart rate up is gonna burn fat, tone muscle and make you a healthier stronger person. So go for a run, walk, jog, play with your dog, mow the lawn, join a gym and use the treadmill, stepper or cross trainer. Seriously its the only way and its the best way to start. When you get stronger and fitter you can start doing squats, lunges and crunches. These will tone muscle even more but they are pointless if you are overweight and not doing cardio. But if you start doing cardio and get your heart rate up your body will respond to them quicker and better and youll be where you want to be in no time.Seriously tho, its gonna be hard, no one said it would be easy. If it was easy then wed all look like supermodels, and lets face it C we dont. but if you work hard and look after your body you can, and will look great.Good luck!
