I have a question. please read on...? -

hi.I am in recovery for an eating disorder. but I am allowed to lose weighthttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?to kinda get a better feel for my situation you can read that questionso I was wondering if anyone has any tipsI have a meal plan and I have an excersise plan. I havent lost much weight. but I ve dropped a jean size and my arms are more toned.so I have been seeing resultsdoes anyone have any healthy weight loss tips that they could share with me??

Don t get on a scale. That goes for anyone; not just those with an eating disorder. Most scales (unless you have the really expensive, high tech kind) only measure weight in pounds. There s no analysis of lean mass vs. fatty mass. I m sure you know that muscle weighs more than fat. The more you exercise, the more muscle you ll be building so your weight will likely stay the same or go up, depending on your diet. That s not a bad thing. Your body can look and feel completely different at the same weight you started if you ve increased your lean muscle mass. If you go by the number on the scale, it can be confusing and discouraging.Remember, women don t usually want to bulk up but the more muscle you have, the faster your metabolism will be. In a way, by increasing your muscle mass, you re helping your body self-regulate what it does with caloric intake. The more muscle you have, the less you ll have to worry about the number of calories you take in. However, you still need to make sure the calories are coming from healthy foods and you need protein to develop and maintain muscle.

what i have noticed is i think you need to relax..weigh.. pshhh!! i used to be all about going to the jym and watching what i eat but you know what as long as your not in danger zone why not eat what you like macdonalds was calling to me ;) now i weight 10 stone, and i dont look fat or chubby i guess i would love to be 8 stone, but no one turns their head at me in the street and think oooh what a fatty ..... but if you really want just walk you dogs all time, run with them and have 3 healthy but enjoyable meals a day....but have FUN weight isn t evrthing :D

How to lose weight in a specfic area? -

How do i lose weight in the area around my penis like where the pubic hair area so that it is flat

hate to tell u this, the truth....you can t lose weight by targeting areas, it has to be overall just lose weight and it ll lose all over. I learned this, here s my solution4u:The way not to do it is starve yourself, to start with. Just exercise and eat right. I did....lost 90 LBS because of it. Starving yourself won t help at all. Drink more water, eat less before bed, and don t eat for stress are the 3 things I follow and i m going pretty well if i don t say myself. 90 LBS isn t anything like 5-10lbs so take my advice. If you want anymore details, feel free to email me. Just please be patient for ppl seem to email me for advice on this, I will reply, don t worry! ~Adia

You can t lose weight in any specific area. You can, however, target specific areas for toning. the only way to make your penis look larger is to exercise and diet correctly. That ll help the overall effect. I believe the ratio is for every 5 lbs lost = 1inch gain.

Cardio, you can t spot reduce ....only cardio will help you lose the fat on top of your muscles.

No matter where you have muscle and how much of it there is (and how much you focus on one specific area), it won t show until fat disappears - and there s no way to target fat loss. So, the hard - yet time-tested - answer is diet and exercise. A relatively quick (i.e. 3 months), effective program for me was Joy Bauer s 90/10 Plan book. I d suggest checking a library for a loand rather than purchasing as the essentials of the plan are easy to master in a week and the recipes are absolutely lousy. So read the book, buy a cheap calorie-counting paperback, and stay faithful to 1600 calories and 30 minutes of exercise a day. I have a long, long way to go myself but dropped 16 lbs in my first three weeks on this plan and have remained successful as long as I have remained faithful to this simple combination of calories and exercise.

You need to be working that area much more...more sex should do the trick!

bicycle, or do lots of cardio

How to lose weight quickly for the military? -

I am a 25 year old female who needs to lose 25 pounds to join the army. I will do whatever it takes (with the exception of cutting of limbs...lol) to lose this weight in the next 30 days. Any tips?

Weight loss is an overall process. You need to think about many factors. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one. In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy. Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don t. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies. Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day. Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body. An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.Check out websites about nutrition, exercise, weight training, etc. Here are a few helpful links.http://www.nutrawatch.com/http://www.caloriesperhour.com/http://www.helpguide.org/life/healthy_eahttp://www.wikihow.com/Lose-Weight-the-Hhttp://weightloss.about.com/cs/fitness/ahttp://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/fe

you will not be able to lose that amount in that time. Be reasonable. You will need to cut your portions in half and get yourself going on a practical excercise routine ( 3 mile run, 1 hour gym, weight lifting ) You will be setting yourself up for success in doing so.I congratulate you on your decision to join the army!Good luck to you, and stay strong!!

go to the sauna every day. do 4 or 5 sets of 10 minutes while swimming a few laps in between each set. it may be harsh, but put on some sweats a few sweaters and a hoody and do push ups or sit up to speed it up. also drink a **** load of water so you have something to sweat out

do cardiovascular exercises if possible with a trainer1] do spot jumps [100 times]2] do side jumps [100 times]3] jog in the same place or cover some targeted distance daily4] eat foods that are low in carbohydrates eat - wheat fruits vegetables nuts don t eat - rice and other steamed foodthe exercises will take pain in the 1st week upper and lower back pain will be there for relieving that stand on your legs keep your knees straight and try to touch your toes by bending slowly hold the position for few seconds and then relax dont give upppppppall the best

If you lose that much weight so quickly, you will become sick and weak. Probably the most you can lose without fasting is about 10 pounds. But if you tone your body, you will look like you lost even more weight.

Fortunately i got some good news for you. I found some very good stuff here, www.czone.info/acaiberry

I am living a very much healthier lifestyle after coming across here. www.meyes.info/lovehealth

Diet and exercise has worked for me. If they have health insurance, some policies allow you to visit a nutritionist. It often helps you get started. Also, you don t need to go to the gym to get exercise. Enjoying the outdoors is one way. Also, some public schools who have tracks allow people to use them. The hardest part is being consistent. Supporting your mom friend makes a big difference. Maybe the family all eating healthy food together and eating healthily with your friend. Also doing it with someone else helps. If your friend and mom get along, maybe they could do things together. Or you could do things with them.

Weight Watchers is recommened by alot of doctors.

Easy eat healthy and excerise is the best way. Crunches, push ups, yoga ect.

well my granddaughter was well over 200 pounds and decided to change her ways. she is now a vegetarian and since the new year she has lost over 70 pounds. her mentality is this, the time will pass whether i lose weight or not so why not try to change myself in that time. she could have went thru a weight reduction operation, but we decided she would still have to watch what she ate and exercise SO why bother being cut? besides when you learn to control your self that will help you in all aspects of your life/ your friends will only lose weight if they really want to. not just cry and say they want to, like any addiction you have to want the change deep within or it s just a waste of time.

less fat, less sugar, correct carbs, eat less, exercise...........

I ve lost 26 pounds in the past year by just walking everyday and not eating between meals or after supper. It works but it takes a little time. You don t put weight on overnight, and you can t take it off overnight either.

Cardio, Cross training.Basically what it comes down to is you need to burn off more calories then you take in on a daily basis. Best step is trying to reduce your calorie intake by about 250-500 calories. Doing that alone will make you NOT gain an extra 50-75 pounds a year.

How to lose weight on upper body? -

I want to lose weight on my upper body what excerises can i do i want to lose weight in my stomach and arms what good excerises to do?

Weight loss generally happens over your whole body, but I would recommend doing arm excercises with lots of reps, little weight (put your arms straight out palm facing the sky, then, with your arms straight, have your hands meet over your head, then put them straight out again. repeat this as many times as possible.)also, there are certain foods that target belly fat. Some of these foods have fat in them, but they are healthy fats - yes there is such a thing. for healthy snacks, make your own trail mix of nuts, raisins and a few DARK CHOCOLATE pieces. Here are a few foods with fat in them that are healthy, yummy, and will help with weight loss:Dark Chocolate, nuts, avacado, coconut, fish.Cook with all natural, nonhydrogonized coconut oil instead of using butter, margarine or other oils.

do quanity of reps over weight in any exercies you do and do it fast thats the best way of loseing weight because if you take long and do alot of weight youll only gay body mass

Losing weight is not site specific.. happens over your whole body. No way to change that, sorry. Do lots of fast paced cardio and eat LOTS of fresh veggies, grilled chicken, eggs, are all cheap!

Cardio is the best. Stary running regularly and do light weight liftinf. If you can t afford weights, lift jugs of water.

How to lose weight as a teenager? -

okay....i m 13 and i was a 118 but when winter break came...i went to a 121! i m trying to lose weight so badly and i have to lose weight before i get back to school in 3 weeks! i need suggestions! give me a list of good foods to eat and bad foods to avoid. plus some good execrcises to do like sports or something. i m a basketball player so that s good. i also walk a lot but not too far from home. so please help me!!!!!!

There is no easy answer to your question, as all people are different when it comes to fitness. Here s some tips that might help though. Change your eating habits: -Watch what you eat. Use your common sense on this one. No choc, chips, fatty foods etc. -Eat when hungry. Never ever starve to lose weight, that never works. -Watch your portions. Some say eating 5 small portions instead of 3 large ones per day really helps boost your metbolism and burn more calories throughout the day.Revamp your excercise: -Focus on cardio exercises. Working out in the morning, before eating, will help you access those fat stores for fuel. -Change what your doing. Basketball is good, but try something new. Its proven that your body gets used to your old routine and it becomes less effective. Try something new like swimming or football. In the end,it all comes down to you and how dedicated you are. Know that its not easy, but keep at it and keep researching

I know how you feel. I too, am a basketball player, am 13, and i went from 115 to 132 (Thankfully, I used what I am saying here to get back down to 112)! First, I know you will be hearing this a lot, but do lots of Cardio, like making that walk near your house a brisk walk, maybe even a jog if you are in the mood. Also, try doing some laps along with that. Foods to avoid are anything that comes in a can. Try to eat non-processed foods, and stick to fresh ingredients, if you can. Now, the best foods to eat before your walk are things with a lot of carbohydrates, like whole wheat bread and cleansing things, like water with no added flavors because those are full of sugar. Now, you can try some crunches or sit-ups. Those work really well for me, but it depends on your build. Well, gotta go, hope these tips work for you and you get in shape in time for school!

Good Foods: vegetables, fruits, organic stuffBad Foods: starbucks, cheese it party mix, random ice cream, french fries from little cousins, cake, sugar foods, anything with no carbs.Basically i dont think yur fat, maybe u juss need a lil more exercise! i think that ur diet doesnt have to be changed majorly....u can still have a lil sugar in ur 13 yr old life ya kno! but yeahh juss start doin some yoga, dance workouts.? buht yeah i dont think u need to worry too much!

eat lots of fruit and vegtables, go on morning runs, look at mehttp://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?

Just eat in smaller portions and exercise. It will work. Oh and cut starbucks and fast food! :)
