How to lose weight...the healthy way? -

I m 16 years old/f. I m definitely not into starving myself or throwing up in order to lose weight. I would like to lose about 10-15 more pounds, I ve already lost 5, but thats from intense skiing for 2 days. I don t have any equipment at home to use, and running outside is just awkward, mostly because everybody knows me in my neighborhood. Is there any good routine anyone wants to suggest?

The healthier way i think is best, by just eating the right food, you know, plenty of fruit and vegetable s, not to much carbs or chocolate or sweets and that. It all depends on your body and what food s make you put on more weight. You can eat whatever you want just make sure you balance it out, a good healthy breakfast is alway s a good start. Looking in magazine s help s too, there s loads of thing s you could do. Personally i don t believe in them silly drinks replacing food, cos you re body needs it. Planning what you re going to eat every week is a good idea too or even doing little excercise s at home.Good luck!

proporatin what you eat and eat healthy and drink water before you eat.so you get fuller. and eat less. and if your still hungry eat a salad or drink water.excersise at a gym or at home like yoga, pilaties. or go to a playground / park and exercise run, ride a bike.

eat less of what you have and if you are still hungry fill youself up with salads

How to lose weight? -

yeahh so ive gained 35 pounds in a year. help please. i want to be thin again. i need to lose.

1. dont bank on the words fast , easy , simple quick ....to stay safe, you shoudnt lose beyond 4 pounds of fat per week2. start brisk walking 40-60mins a day...get a dog or 2 if you find your walking routine boring..or if you are at a gym, experiment all forms of cardio available and stick to all that you like3. drink only water,100% natural/fresh fruit/veggie juices, lowfat milk and lots of green tea4. severely limit carbs n fat but eat lean proteins and veggies very well..make sure you eat a good breakfast!foods generally that aid fat loss- fruits, oatmeal, milk, raw nuts, fish, beans, veggies, small chunks of dark chocolate and herbal teas.5. do lots of pilates/yoga/strength training to get the best from your cardio6. be smart when eating out or at events/functions(such as preparing your own meal eating in advance)7. dont trust myths like no food after 7pm ...you have to stay nourished to lose fat,..the best you can do if you are scared to eat is perhaps drink a glass of ice chocolate lowfat milk mixed with a tsp of instant softened oatmeal... 8. Always push yourself n never give up!but get enough rest too...Stay focused on your goal and God bless you...

I lose 45 lbs in 6 months. What I did was to:1) Exercise by walking 30 minutes daily2) Eating veggies, fruits, brown rice, lean meat (all in portion). If you get hungry in 4 hrs, eat one apple, banana or any fruits. 3) Drinking water - no soda pops of any kind. 4) I bought a juicer, to juice veggies and fruits. You need to live by it. You ll get use to it and you will lose weight, guarantee! Telling you through my experience.

go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food after 7 p.m.I know a woman who lost 60 pounds a month on it. She did nothing else!

I will save you time and tell you the same answer that everybody is going to tell you:1. Eat healthy2. Workout.

i am a 15 year old girl and i m not fat i just want to lose about 7 or 8 pounds. i weigh about 115 right now and i want to get rid of a little bulk and get a 6 pack :] i started to run the treadmill for a half hour every night, but in that half hour i only burn 200 calories. how much should i burn a night to lose weight faster?

for 6 pack, do situps

-Drink TONS and TONS of water.-Get 8 hours of sleep a night.-Don t eat cookies or chips or sugery foods.-Cut up fruits, add a lot of ice, and orange juice, and make a smoothie.-Cut up spinach, corn, broccoli, carrots, celery, parsley, add vegetable broth, and boil them in water, with salt and pepper, and it makes a good soup.-I ll say again, drink TONS AND TONS AND TONS OF WATER. It really does help.

An 18 year old girl came to me with this same story the other day, and I ll tell you the same thing I told her:Even if you lose 30 pounds that little tummy will still be there. A flat tummy (like she wants) and/or a six-pack requires work. Crunches, mostly - anything that works the abs.Since muscle weighs more than fat, your weight won t actually go down much if at all. Since I don t know your build, I have no idea if, at 115, you re underweight or where you should be, but 115 isn t heavy for anyone, so you re definitely not fat.Another way to help with the little tummy is to drink lots of water - you could be retaining water (which just means your body does not have enough water to properly process nutrients).

To successfully lose weight, you must carry outa plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionallybalanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity. I found useful informations at http://imfit4life.com

If you eat two apples and one orange in the morning, broiled chiken, boiled eggs, and cauliflower for lunch, and melons and soymilk for anytime in the day as much as you want you will lose 20 lbs in 2 weeks.

How to lose weight ? -

How can i loose stomach weight in a small room that is 4m x 4m ? im not fat i just got a fat belly and love cheeks LOL please anything will do!!

HI try to do some sit ups it helped me with mine, do 10 this week next week15 and so on Rome wasn t build in one day

eat every 24 hours!

Mary s BMR is 1400 calories and she burns 900 calories in daily activity. To maintain her weight, she should be eating 2300 calories but, after keeping a food journal, Mary finds that she s eating 2550 calories every day. By eating 250 more calories than her body needs, Mary will gain one pound every 2 weeks. This example shows how easy it is to gain weight without even knowing it. But it s also easy to lose weight. In fact, you can start losing weight right now by making a few simple changes. If you can burn an extra 500 calories each day, you ll lose a pound a week and you won t even have to change your clothes. Try these ideas:Instead of.... Do this... Having an afternoon Coke Drink a glass of water. (calories saved: 97) Eating an Egg McMuffin Eat a small whole wheat bagel +1 tbls of peanut butter (calories saved: 185) Using your break to catch up on work or eat a snack Walk up and down a flight of stairs for 10 minutes (calories burned: 100) Hitting the snooze button Get up 10 minutes early and go for a brisk walk (calories burned: 100) Watching television after work Do 10 minutes of yoga (calories burned: 50)

Diet and exercise is going to be the common answer. I would suggest you do some running and do it often. When you eat, try not to eat until you re full, eat until you re no longer hungry. Your stomach takes about 20 minutes to tell your brain that you re full, so don t rush eating either. Hope this helps.

How to lose weight fast? -

i need to lose weight fast i weigh 162 pounds and im 12 and im 5 1 i also have bigger muscles then girls my age and bigger bones.... but i really wanna lose weight fast with diet pills or surgery can someone please help me? i wanna be 100-105 pounds!

Eat the serving size that is recommended, don t eat junk food, eat lots of fruits and veggies. but do not starve yourself or make yourself throw up. Starving yourself often takes a long time to effect your weight and makes you feel horrible. Eating healthy makes you feel good and energized and helps your body not harms it. And throwing up is HORRIBLE for your body and by the time that you throw up most all of the digestion has already happend and doesnt really help. All in all, just eat healthy and do some light work outs 3-5 times a week [a good place to find good easy work outs [that you can do at home] is 17 magazine]

many ppl think that lifting weights makes you bigger but in reality it makes you lose weight...it gets you toned...so if you lift weights...not super hard but enough to say u worked out then u should lose weight in no time.

Okay so im 16 and overweight i need advice of how to lose weight in a healthy but fast way? -

i just need to figure out how to lose around 20 pounds a month so i can be a healthy weight for my height and age.

Well dream on because you can t possibly lose 20 pounds a month unless you are morbidly obese.Eat 5 to 6 small healthy meals a day, drink plenty of water and move.

you should drink lots of watereat salad with NO dressing and if you cant then put a lite dressingoccasionlly eat your favorite food in a small portionmake sure to excersize EVERY DAYtry some hobbies like snowboarding, or swimming[which ever part of the world your from]overall just cut down your intake and eat healthy =]

weightwatchersexerciseeat healthyya knowhow much overweight are you?

it is advisable to loose no more than 2 pounds a week. Drop 500 -600 less calories a day. you will slim down fast. lay off the @#$%^%^%%% ! soft drinks especially the diet ones these make you hungrier.

First you should go to a dietician he will give you a precise diet for your age and weight...... 2nd... Go to a gym

20 pounds per month for one isnt a healthy amount to be losing, you should be aiming for approx. 8-10 pounds per month. There are many reasons for this but the main is that if you lose weight at too fast of a rate the body does not have time to adjust (metabolism, liver, kidney and mostely skin) so IF you did lose it at 20 pounds per month you will find you will have a lot of loose excess skin which is not what you want at all.If you aim for 8-10 pounds you will be at a much healthier weight loss rate and your body will adjust much better and ultimately the results will be long term as opposed to losing it quick and putting it on quicker.A few suggestions:Try reducing your carb intake (white bread, pasta, rice etc) increase your protein (red meat) and fibre (oats, bran) intake this will help with metabolism as well as provide a good source of food for your muscles once you start working out. Aim to eat 5-6 meals per day with latest being approx 7pm. and ensure that your last meal of the day is smallest (metabolism slows down towards end of day)Exercise:Start with cardio (20min jogs 4 days per week) then in second week introduce a 20minute resistance strength session before your cardio (ab crunches, push ups, leg lifts, squats etc) and as you get more comfortable keep increasing the intensity, its always important to lift the level to keep your body adjusting and challenging this will keep the weight loss consistent. If you want more info on some nice healthy recipes or workouts i have some on my blog http://myfitmate.blogspot.com/ which i update daily so have a look.good luck.

Go to a gym. Also eat healthy foods and lots of water. Do excersize.

Don t! Please don t! The only way to lose weight that fast is by being bulimic or anorexic. I have been personally bulimic and it was definitely not the answer. Dont go through hell like I did.You need to write down what you eat usually everyday, and stop eating 500 calories worth of food. If you do this continuously, you can lose a pound or two every week. Even though it doesnt seem like a lot, it will add up. So in a month, you can lose 4 pounds. If you want to lose more pounds, exercise. Play DDR, run, jog, play a sport in school. Anything to keep you moving for at least half an hour everyday. But the most important thing, is that you need a friend to help you. Find someone who wants to lose weight, too, and ask them to be your Weight Loss Program Buddy! Someone to be with along the way who will continuously encourage you and stop you from eating those fatty foods will keep you on the road to weight loss. The only way to lose weight in a healthy way is taking it slowly.Best of luck

Fruit and fruit juice for breakfast, no lunch and eat what you want for dinner. drink losts of water and walk a lot.

I ve got the best diet ever!!! and plus you don t even need to exercise too. and its quick easy and fast. I recieved it when my dad went into heart surgery he was over weight and he lost wieght and if you only need 20 lbs then you ll figure out the math on here you will only need it for about 1 month probably. 12 days on - 2 days offBreakfast1/2 Grapefruit or 4 oz. Grapefruit Juice (unsweetened)2 Eggs (any style)2 Slices BaconLunch1/2 Grapefruit or 4 oz. Grapefruit Juice (unsweetened)Meat (any style, any amount)Salad (any kind of dressing)Dinner1/2 Grapefruit or 4 oz. Grapefruit Juice (unsweetened)Meat (any style, any amount) (fish may be substituted for meat)Vegetables (any green, yellow, or red vegetables cooked in butter or any seasoning)Bed Time Snack1 glass tomato juice or 1 glass Skim milkVegetables AllowedRed onions, green onions, bell peppers, radishes, cucumbers, broccoli, spinach, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, peas.Vegetables to AvoidWhite onions, potatoes, celery.Instructions 1. At any meal you may eat until you are full - until you can t eat any more. 2. Don t eliminate anything from the diet, especially don t skip bacon at breakfast or omit salads. It is the combination of foods that burn fat. 3. The grapefruit is important because it acts as a catalyst that starts the burning process. 4. Cut down on caffeine - it affects the insulin balance that hinders the burning process. Try to limit to 1 cup per meal at mealtime. 5. Don t eat between meals. If you eat the combination of food suggested you will not be hungry. 6. Note that the diet completely eliminates sugar and starches, which are lipids and form fat. Fat doesn t form fat; it helps burn it. You can fry food in butter and use butter generously on vegetables. 7. Do not eat desserts, bread, and white vegetables or sweet potatoes. You may double or triple helpings of meat, salad, or vegetables. Eat until you are stuffed. The more you eat of the proper combination of food, the more you lose.

jog every night untill you think your gonna hurleat as little as possible, eating nothing but fruits and vegitablesand eat like 6 small meals a day =]

Running daily and controlling calorie intake. Swimming is another excellent choice of activity. 30-45 minutes of running or swimming every day or two days should see you right (providing you make lifestyle changes! - Cut down on sugar, fatty food, etc.)

Hi I have tried one program and it works on me and my friends. And the best part is you need not starve and you can eat 4 meals a day! If you follow the program, you should lose about 9 Ibs in 11 days. So 20 Ibs in a month... that s your target.Visit my webpage at http://www.fatlossfast.org to find out more. Dr Jo Johnson

~Aim towards 30 min of cario exercise a day. examples/ running on a treadmill, a jog around the block, biking, aerobics, step class, swimming laps, etc... ~Do ab work every day. It doesn t automatically get rid of the beer belly, but will tone your abs. I recommend 100 crunched (and 10 push ups) every day. Increase these numbers as you get stronger.~Meet with a personal trainer who will help a ton!!!~Find a fun aerobics tape and do it at home. Also try dance tapes, as this is a cardio activity that will burn calories~Always make sure a parent and/or doctor knows about your plans in case you get sick. Working out when you are overweight can cause fevers, headaches, stomach aches, and you could even pass out. If you have these symptoms you want an adult to be able to help you get better.~Don t aim for more than 2-4 pounds a week or you will be unhealthy. The first week of a healthy plan might result in losing a few more pounds, but that is water weight. Just don t expect those numbers every week~Weigh yourself once a week and keep track of your numbers. Weigh yourself at the same time, like right when you wake up. It sounds crazy, but the more you weigh the more likely you are to get an eating disorder.Always be healthy! I hope I helped. Happy 2008 ( :PS Try eating about 1,600 calories per day. Don t eliminate carbs or proteins. Try to eat lean meats (turkey, fish, chicken), vegetables (1-2 salads a day with little or no dressing, use light dressing), fruit (have 2 snacks, both containing a fruit and some nuts or granola), and carbs (whole wheat pastas or breads, whole grain bagels for breakfast), and reward yourself 1-2 times per week with a Skinny Cow ice cream dessert, a small slice of homemade cake, or a couple of cookies. Try keeping a food diary, write down everything you eat. It helps to have an accountability partner (friend, parent, sibling) who can look at your diary and help remind you and encourage you to stick to your goals.Good Luck!!!

You can easily type in on google Butt exercises or ab exercises and will come up with tons of things. Squats, and lunges are good workouts. You should definetly eat more healthy . Losing 20 pounds a month is almost impossible. You would have to really cut down on sugars, start eating more fruits and veggies and workout out an hour a day everyday. Good luck!

GOOD DIET GOOD EXERCISE AND GREEN TEA SUPPLEMENTS ALSO DRINK HOT GREEN TEA AND DRINK LOTS ANS LOTS OF WATER

How to lose weight? -

hi im 5 2 and 120 pounds, i have a very curvy figure but i want to lose weight and i do not know how, any good diet tips?

Remember fast weight loss is not permanent weight loss.Did you know that 1 pound of extra muscle will help you burn 50 calories per day? Then imagine what 6 pounds can do, yep 300 calories per day!I have lost 6kg (13lbs), 4 inches from my waist and 4 inches from my hips in 5 weeks.Have a look at my workouts here;http://disciplineorregret.wordpress.com/I hope this helps.Take care,Andrew

go to curves, they have very good recipes to choose from and a good gym. even if you reach the amount of weight you want to lose i would try to keep it up, i mean there is nothing to lose, except a few pounds. also if you are not busy try to run twice a day. you can do it if you try.

Why are you concerned with weight ? Muscle weighs more than fat. In fact, if you are toned and show muscle definition, chances are you ll weigh more than a person of similar size and body measurements, due to your higher amount of muscle mass. In a nutshell, do NOT judge your health by your weight! I ve seen a lot of obese people lose waistline measurements but become frustrated because they put on weight. They do not understand the simple concept that muscle weighs more than fat.If you do feel you want to lose an inch or so, trying working out in the mornings, prior to eating. Doing cardiovascular workouts just after rising are more beneficial than after 2-3 meals throughout the day. That is, you ll be burning fat, not the calories from the food you have eaten throughout the day. Good luck!

They key is not to stress out. The most common failure of weightloss regimes occurs when people get frustrated because they feel they are not losing weight fast enoough. In order to avoid this, you need to have realistic expectations.Healthy weightloss comes in at around 1-2 pounds a week. A lot of people don t understand--or even know-- about this. But it is HEALTHY, and that is the point. You need to cut out anything white. White food= processed food, and that s where a lot of people make mistakes. Limit your sugar, breads, candy, etc. Get rid of soda and greasy, fatty foods. The best thing to do is go through your refrigerator and throw away anything you think is unhealthy. Then go out and buy fruits, vegetable, fish, nuts, and beans. These will be your best friends! For exercise, I would recommend joining a sport or going to the gym with your friends. I was about twenty pounds overweight when i joined field hockey. i lost it all, and had a lot of fun in the process! I was just playing, and did not realize the transformation my body was going through. it s very hard to work out alone. it s easy to get discrouraged and lazy that way. Stay positive! You are thinking in the right direction. Just about how great you will feel and look!

Diets never work. They may for a brief period of time, but not in the long run. Also, never trust diet pills. All they do is dehydrate your body making you believe that you re losing weight when in reality you re just losing water. The best way to go is exercise. It s as simple as this: as long as you burn off the calories that you consume, you will lose weight. Of course, what you eat plays a big role on weight loss too... Try to eat 3 full meals/day with small snacks in between. The more often you feed yourself, the higher your metabolism will remain. It is a common misconception that the fewer meals you eat, the more likely you ll lose weight. What happens though is that your metabolism slows down because your body does not know when you ll feed it next, so it stores as much as it can to protect itself from starvation. Also, make sure that all of your meals are well balanced. For example, for breakfast (which is the most important meal of day), have some eggs, or egg whites only if you choose, fruit, oatmeal, or bran cereal. For lunch, a turkey or chicken breast sandwich on multi-grain bread is a good choice. Do not use whole wheat bread. People always assume that because the words whole and wheat are in it, they re good for you. In reality, it s just as nutritional for you as white bread, the only difference is the color. For dinner make sure you stick with lean meats, fish, and veggies. If you like rice or pasta, make sure that it s brown rice or whole grain pasta. Try to limit your carbohydrate intake as much as possible if you re not working out. Because what isn t used will be stored as fat.As far as snacks go, avoid those high in fat, especially saturated fats (chips, cookies, etc.). Fruit and vegetables are the way to go. If you have a craving for sweets at any point, dark chocolate is actually good for you (in moderation, of course). As far as working out goes, running is the best for cardiovascular fitness. If you have weak joints, try swimming or the eliptical machine, if you go to the gym. Lifting weights (high repititions and low weight: e.g., 3 sets of 12 reps) is good for losing weight because the more muscle you build, the more fat your body will burn. The only downside to weights is that you have to be patient. Muscle weighs more than fat so you may be gaining weight on the scale but in reality you re losing fat in process, so in the end you re losing the good weight! =)Last tip of the day: never rely on scales as your source of progression. It s not only discouraging, it doesn t take into account your muscle and bone mass. The best way to monitor your weight loss is by your waist size. Do your pants still fit you or are they looser now?Anyway, nutrition and fitness are such elaborate topics. I could go on all day about different facts and methods in losing weight. If there s anything else you want to know just ask. Good luck!

I don t recommend going on a diet. Diets don t work. It s best just to watch what you eat. I wouldn t consume more than 1,500 calories in a day. Using a treadmill or going for a jog everyday would help you get in shape. Just don t starve yourself or crash diet. I m 5 2 also and I understand how easy it is to put on weight.
