Help: how to lose weight at home? -

i m trying to lose 20-30 pounds at home. i won t and don t want to use any pills at all. i want tips on excercise to lose weight to especially lose my big arms and love handles. im having trouble with what i should eat also

Running is the best.

To lose 1 pound a week you will need a 3500 calories deficit a week or 500 a day. Find out how many calories you need to maintain your weight for a day. So if you average 2400 and maintain your weight you would reduce your caloric intake to 1900 from 2400. To lose even faster do aerobic exercises. Ensure you take your vitamins. I found a site with great weight-loss products at good prices:http://www.thriftystorez.com

How to lose Weight! im 52 and 230lbs! Hold it all in my hips and thighs..Any tips? -

Eat 10X calories for the weight you want. So if you want to weigh 100 lbs. Eat 1000 calories. Try to get 70 percent protein, 10 percent fat and 20 percent carbs. Go to a gym of if you cant do that, walk. At least 1 mile a day.

Weight loss is an overall process. You need to think about many factors. There are many sensible things you can do that will make a tremendous difference over the long term if you need to lose weight. It can be done in a healthy way. This is what has worked for me.Keeping a food journal really does help. It will give you a much better sense of how much you are eating, and when, and why.Make a few additional small changes - walk everywhere, always use stairs instead of elevators, walk on escalators, get up and move around at least once an hour if your work or your life in general is sedentary, walk every day, use a pedometer. Walking 10,000 steps a day is a really good idea. Build up to a long brisk walk everyday, or most days. Be more active and watch less TV and spend less time on the computer. Buy one piece of exercise equipment to have at home and be strict with yourself about using it. Sometimes you can find mini-steppers or exercise bikes at second hand stores and thrift stores for just a few dollars.Start a weight lifting routine. Join a gym. Possibly you can find one that has someone who specializes in weight lifting programs for beginners. Weight lifting will increase your metabolism as well as improve posture and appearance overall. Even if you can t get to the gym you can work out at home using things around the house. Invest in a good weight training book. The Dummies series actually has a good one. In terms of diet, cut out or reduce things like junk food, pop, fat, fast food. Eat more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean meat, fish. Particularly if you choose a vegetarian lifestyle include natural peanut butter, hummus, dried fruit and nuts. Pay close attention to getting the nutrients your body needs to be healthy. Make your portion sizes smaller. Use a smaller plate - in our society we have become accustomed to thinking that we need a large plate of food at every meal, and we don t. About quarter of your plate of food should be protein and at least half of it should be veggies. Learn to count calories. At your current weight and activity level, you may possibly need about 2000 calories or more to maintain your current weight. So you will lose weight at a reasonable and healthy rate if you cut back to about 1600 or 1700 calories a day. Eat small amounts frequently, rather than three large meals. Never skip breakfast. Include some protein in your breakfast. It will help get you through the day.Drink plenty of water, at least 8 big glasses of water a day, and more if it is very hot, if you sweat a lot, or if you are exercising intensely, and eliminate fruit juices. Fruit juices have too many calories, so get your vitamins from fresh fruit, not the juice. You will begin to see changes in your body. An area that many people overlook is getting enough sleep. You are much more likely to overeat or to binge eat if you are tired and not well rested, so get enough sleep.Check out websites about nutrition, exercise, weight training, etc. Here are a few helpful links.http://www.nutrawatch.com/http://www.caloriesperhour.com/http://www.helpguide.org/life/healthy_eahttp://www.wikihow.com/Lose-Weight-the-Hhttp://weightloss.about.com/cs/fitness/ahttp://www.webmd.com/fitness-exercise/fe

Lots of protein!! Egg whites, Protein shakes, Oatmeal, there are lots of things with protein in it and if you eat protein and walk it off it will burn fat like crazy! Also If u limit yourself to one diet soda a day or once in a while and drink water it will also help tremendously! Try Whole Grains, cut out the saturated fats and sugars. Special K is also nice too!!! They have cerial, Fruit bars, and Protein water. Try something out and see if it works for you! Good Luck!!

How to Lose weight in a month.? -

I need to lose 16 pounds (current weight is 146) in 1 month and 14 days. I need exercise and diet tips. Does anyone know any really good exercises directed at the obliques, thighs, and butt. I really appreciate it. Thank you.

One thing that works for me is: before I eat, I drink a large glass of water, then if I m still hungry, I won t eat as much as I would have.also, fyi:1 pound = 3500 calories. If you burn more calories than you eat, you will lose weight.ie, if you eat 2000 calories per day and burn 2500, you will lose 1 pound every week.the average person burns 1500-2000 calories per day, just being alive.powerwalking can burn 200-500 calories per hour.exercise bike can burn 200-600 calories per hour.swimming can burn 100-800 calories per hour.jogging/running can burn 300-1200 calories per hour.*********VERY IMPORTANT************when trying to lose weight, very important to drink lots and lots of water ! ! ! You should drink at least 10 glasses per day, like 1 glass every hour !This helps your body get rid of the fat when you are burning calories.

Can someone please give me advice on how to lose weight ,teen.? -

I m an overweight teen and before i get spammers saying something about stupid aci berry or what please dont i m too young to take pills or starve myself?but how can i change my waysand be healthy and lose this fati m a junk food, fizzy eater and i hardly get any exercise i love dancing, and playing on my trampoline but i hardly do it.

hello i enjoyed your answer to my question so now im answering one of yours :]really its about portion control. Big breakfast, snack, Medium lunch, snack, Small dinner, snack. snacks should be eaten two hours later. Trust me on that one too. always eat breakfast. As long as you keep drinking soda you will have that fat around your stomach.. soda retains fat. exercise atleast 30min each day really you can just walk around or jog. If you want chips go for baked.. if you want fried chicken go for grilled instead. Green Tea is great because it is natural good for you helps you lose weight. To tone up do pushups cardio. Drink as much water as you can each day eat vegetables fruit ofcourse. Don t eat after 7pm. if you get cravings go for something healthy. Making your own pizza btw is tons more healthy than getting one at Pizza Hut or something. As often as possible eat home cooked meals than takeout unless its like Subway or something :) which is my fav. try to have a little variety on your workouts try to keep motivated.. like take a pic or get a pic you really do not like and tape it in your room. If u have an ipod thats great, music can pump you up. or having a friend along for walks and jogs is great too. oh i suggest water from your filter not bottled water. but have water with you when your exercising cause you shouldn t be dehydrated. diet exercise together ok hun. keep doing this. it is time to change your habits. if you have any questions you can email me. good luck :]]

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together. If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, whichwill lead to increase of weight, or muscle growunderneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet withoutexercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. Fordiet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no foodafter 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending onyour initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. Ifyou don t eat wheat then you don t eat all those sticky, fatty goeycakes, you don t eat junk food, and you don t eat biscuits. But yourdiet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have tocalculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising, start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is themost efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight alot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack, disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to targetyour problem areas for men and women. It s not necessarily to become abodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help youto target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

Well I say the best thing for you to start with is eating healthy.be on a diet.eat a lot of veggies and fruits and check on carbs.that s the main thing.also, try getting as much protein in you as you can Drink an energy shake.it gets you to be as healthy as a horse.drink those every morning but they are kind of nasty.but that s ok.Cut down on all sugars.take a walk fast pace and walk around on trails and even inyour neighborhood.for good exercise,go on ondemand on the tv and look for some fitness training.it s great.

You could just try to make a few healthier choices - like you don t have to cut out junk food altogether because then you will just crave it. So start slowly, just by choosing a piece of fruit instead of a candy bar. You could also try switching to diet fizzy drinks, because full sugar ones have about 11 teaspoons of sugar in them. So even though they dont feel much, they arent so good! I was overweight throughout my teens and I found it so difficult to eat healthy and exercise, but its all about choices. If you love dancing, just go for it, dance your heart out and you ll soon start to see and feel a difference. The most important thing is to lose weight slowly, don t try and lose too much too quickly because its really unhealthy.Good luck with it :-)

Eat smaller meals.Get a distraction...if you go to school, eat breakfast, pack your own lunch (healthy foods) and have a snack later, then 2hours later dinner.Exercise one hour each day.For lunch, you can haveTurkey sandwich - 200 caloriesGranola bar- 100 caloriesapple- 30/40 caloriesWater/or water with crystal light- 0 to 5 calories.thats 335 calories only for lunch.and if you have a 400 calorie breakfast dinner, and a light dinner (300 to 500 calories)you ll consume around 1000 to 1300 calories each day. seems like no food, but actually it will keep you full.remember, just eat healthy foods. would you rather eat one slice of pizza thats 300 calories or a huge 300 calorie salad that will fill you up?as long as you eat healthy it shouldnt matter how much you eat of it as long as youre eating moderately

It didn t take a miracle or miracle cure to put the weight on and it won t take one to get it off. First, change the amount you eat. Cut your normal portions in half and ditch the soda for a glass or two of water. Second, try this you won t be hungry and you ll be a lot healthier. 1. When your feet hit the floor in the morning drink at least 8oz. of water.2. When you get to the kitchen eat a cup of yogurt, a slice of whole wheat toast, another cup of water and your choice of fruit.3. in about a half hour do it again and add two carrot sticks4. Around noon drink two glasses of water, eat a sandwich (no mayo and no white bread) and a apple or some raw veggies.5. Half an hour after drink another glass of water. (yes i know your full drink the water anyway)6. Around 6 pm but before 8pm drink a glass of water and eat dinner. (no fried foods, white starch, sugar, PERIOD)

What I would try to do is avoid fizzy drinks and fatty food, don t eat for pleasure all the time... eat when you need to. Try and do lots of exercise, and lots of it. Try and run every night and try and increase how fast you run and how far gradually. I tried doing this and I became kind of addicted lol...now its 2 miles every night :D

eat little and often, drink lots of water - fizzy drinks are loaded with sugar sweetners which are really bad for you. find a hobby, something you really enjoy, maybe like taking neighbours dogs for walks? this way you get exercise and you get payed! hope this helps :)

If you are serious about losing weight, have a look at the list of sites.http://the-fast--weight-loss.blogspot.com/http://weight--loss-help.blogspot.com/Good luck :)

How to lose weight quick? -

I am very over weight 13 and 2** I been trying alot to lose weight but I cant seem to...If I eat about 1500 calories and burn 2400 how much weight can I lose in 3 months...and will that work

If you are overweight, you can t continue with your current eating habits. It s not possible to reduce body fat while eating lots of food, cakes and sweets. This doesn t mean you can never have any treats, but you need to learn how to limit these foods to small quantities - say, for special occasions. In terms of weight-loss, you can get your body to use up existing stores of fat by eating less and making healthier choices. This doesn t mean crash diet (anything less than 1500 calories), which usually ends up with you either getting weaker or giving up in desperation. Quick-fix diets can lead to a yo-yoing effect of drastic weight loss followed by weight gain, resulting in a vicious cycle. There are no shortcuts to losing weight in a healthy and reasonable way.Eating 300 to 500 calories less per day should lead to a loss of between one and two pounds per week. This is a realistic target. It may seem slow, but would add up to a weight loss of more than three stone in a year.Fat contains the most amount of calories out of all the food types (protein, carbohydrates), so a good way to achieve this is to cut down on fatty foods and eat more wholegrain bread, fruit and vegetables.Below are ways to reduce calorie intake without having to alter your diet significantly. * Replace fizzy drinks and fruit cordials with water. * Swap whole milk for semi-skimmed, or semi-skimmed for skimmed. * Eat less lunch than usual. For example, make your own sandwich and limit the use of margarine/butter and full-fat mayonnaise (store-bought sandwiches often contain both). * Stop taking sugar and drink green tea. * Have smaller portions of the food you enjoy. * Avoid having a second helping at dinner. * Cut out unhealthy treats such as confectionary, sugary biscuits and crisps between meals. * Cut down on beer and alcohol. All these things will influence your health in a positive way. Finally, don t be tempted to skip breakfast C or any meal to lose weight. While skipping a meal will reduce your calorie intake for that hour, it will leave you much hungrier later on.Not only are you likely to overeat to compensate, but you ll often make bad choices to fill the gap: a cereal bar is not as healthy as a bowl of cereal or as filling, leading you to need something extra for lunch.Irregular eating habits also disrupt your body s metabolism, which makes it harder to lose weight in the first place.

I just sorta answered this question a while ago with someone else. obviously exercise is important. but don t strain yourself because if you exercise too much, your body will get used to it and your body will not respond well. try walkin a mile a day with your friends, play a sport that you might be interested, or just exercise at home. you should watch the number of calories you re consuming as well. If you really want to burn calories, take a maximum of 1300 calories and burn off as much as you can. also, try eating a bowl of fruit as a meal once every 2 or 3 days. try replacing fatty snacks with fruits or low fat food. also, after you eat, DO NOT SLEEP UNTIL ATLEAST 2 HOURS LATER!!!!! It will be stored as fat and will be hard to burn off. I suggest drinkin one more glass of water everyday as well.

WELL, so many ppl have given u soo many suggestions. Do this eat this but can u design sumtin for urself ? Now this is called help i wud suggest you those ppl who made me come down from a 85kgs to a 64kgs in just 3months where i had no pills, no creams. Probably not.You need to consult a health professional. They can help advise you on a healthy diet and exercise regimen, so you don t hurt your body. You also need to get your thyroid and adrenal glands checked. If they are run down, you won t lose any weight. Your thyroid is responsible for your metabolism, and how fast your body turns your food into energy. You can take natural supplements to get your glands into working condition again. For excellent advice, I recommend two doctors, Dr. Bruce West and Dr. Julian Whitaker. They are both in California, but they have websites and toll-free numbers. You can call Dr. West s office with questions - 1-800-231-8063. His Health Alert Store link is listed below.Dr. Whitaker s number is - 1-888-886-8213, 24 hours, 7 days a week. His site is also listed below.

Hello, Sweetie first of all don t stress out , i have sister of your age. And a ma tell you what i told her from my own experience. Cut the soda completely, pizza, pasta and all of the junk food. i know it will be hard for you in start but you have to be positive and think positive to achieve your goal. Drink lots and lots of water. Eating 3 meals a day in big portion is not very good, as eating 5 small portions a day is recommended and is advised by health professionals and doctors too. Eat lots of green veggies and fruits, cerial and oatmeal, take wheat bread. And WALK with your Friends or siblings. Sleep @ least 8 hours. Keep doing these things and don t believe in taking any diet pills or diet supplements or shakes. Those things are not good for you and has many side effects. Best of Girl.
